On 2/19/2026, I had two plates of authentic shrimp tacos today...DELICIOUS!!!!!!! (So good, I had to eat it, my 1st meal of the day) Husband had the Buritto..very big n filling

And the 2nd in person experience did not disappoint. Tried a few more things on the menu and they were delicious--carne asada with a shrimp add on, the chicken mole and the melted cheese appetizer with this spicy nutty sauce were all fantastic. Drinks are solid as well. My only complaint is that we've been twice and no tamales or beef taquitos...guess we will have to try again!

Amazing staff. Food is great. Cocktails are yummy. Ambiance could be cozier, but I'm sure that will come in time.

AMAZING! Would give six stars if I could! Jeremy, the owner, is kind, charismatic, and welcoming. The restaurant itself is well decorated and very cute! There is a lot of space and a large parking lot. Now let's get to the FOOD. Everything was delicious and authentic. The mole was fire (not everybody makes good mole). The pozole was perfect. The salsas were perfect. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Tostada cochinita pibil!!

Cochinita pibil was fantastic! Excellent empanadas! Super service! Kent!!!!! Don't sleep on this place please! Support local you won't be disappointed!

Mix and matched the tacos, taco de birria, tacos de lengua, y tacos de carne asada.

¡De la puta madre, causa! Warm lighting, papel picado overhead, and a lively buena vibra set the tone right away. The tacos--juicy birria, perfectly grilled carne asada, and lengua suave--were absolutely incredible. The shrimp ceviche was fresh and bright, bien fresco, bursting with flavor. Service was attentive and welcoming. Todo estuvo delicioso--can't wait to come back.

Rice and beans, Ceviche de Camaron, and Equites with Salsa Macha

We recently tried a new Mexican restaurant in Kent's visiting from Seattle, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We sampled a handful of dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and totally worth the price. Pictured here are the Ceviche de Camarón, the Esquites with Salsa Macha, and the Rice and Beans--each one incredibly fresh and well-seasoned. The ceviche was bright and citrusy with perfectly tender shrimp, and the esquites had just the right kick thanks to the salsa macha. Even the rice and beans stood out with rich, comforting flavors. We also had the Flautas, which were crisp and delicious, and the Queso al Horno with Birria--a rich, cheesy dish that you absolutely must dip your tortillas in. Everything was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. (We ate it so fast I couldn't take a photo) I tried the Brisa Verde cocktail and it was amazing--refreshing, well-balanced, and the perfect pairing for the meal. (Drank it so quickly, I couldn't get a photo) What really stood out, though, was the phenomenal service. Jeremy, the owner/manager, made us feel incredibly welcome, and Ambrea behind the bar was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. The ambience of the place was so fun, they had great music playing, and the areas were segregated creating a lot of space. Everything was very affordable for the quality, and the freshness of the ingredients really made each bite memorable. This place is a gem and absolutely worth checking out--we'll definitely be back!!!

Chicken Mole Enchilada, Chips and Salsa, Rice and Beans, and of course the Yõli Scratch Margarita.

Real Mexican food, great margarita, mole was on point. Appreciate the quick and friendly service. Close out the meal with a nice shot of tequila and you won't be disappointed

Great Happy Hour

Food and Service from the owner was amazing! Best home made chips ever! Feels like Mexico with a modern vibe. Good place to watch games. Can't wait to go again.

Flautas - Potato chorizo

Came in on a Thursday night with my boyfriend to watch the game & grab some dinner. It's nice that they have multiple Tv's so you could watch the game at any angle. Wasn't too busy, there were maybe 3 other groups that were there. We were greeted right away by the owner, he was super friendly! He was also running the front of the house by himself for a bit and even then, he still was very attentive and had great customer service! They have daily specials which is cool too. We ordered the Flautas with potato chorizo & those were delicious! We also ordered chips and salsa, a horchata & a taco board with 8 tacos. For all 4 items it was around $60ish which I feel like is a great price for all that food. I definitely feel like everything on their menu, even the cocktails are really reasonably priced. The taco board was way more than enough food for the both of us. They didn't skimp on the filling either in the tacos. Our favorite was the Shrimp tacos! Shrimp had a nice breading almost like deep fried calamari. We would definitely come back for brunch or dinner again! Great service, great food and all for a great price!

The closest plate: Chilaquiles with green salsa and cochinita The other plate: Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and bacon

First of all, the negative reviews are just a bunch of haters. I have been looking for a good Mexican food spot since I've moved here from Tucson, AZ and I've officially found it! I've also been looking for a restaurant with stylish decor and a lively atmosphere, and I've found it!! Not only are the prices crazy reasonable but the flavor is everything I've been needing. The first time we came here we ordered the Queso Al Horno for the appetizer, Chicken Enchiladas, and the Cochinita Pibil Tacos for dinner. I could probably eat my weight in that queso dish. The chicken in the enchiladas were extremely flavorful and the cochinita was sweet with a hint of spice, mmm! The second time we came here was for brunch and we got photo evidence this time. We ordered Chilaquiles with green salsa and cochinita and Huevos Rancheros with chorizo and bacon. The green salsa has the perfect amount of spice and where I'm not the biggest fan of beans, the pinto beans were so tasty! My fiance cleared his entire plate of the Huevos Rancheros and had zero complaints. The drinks are amazing and fresh, the corn tortillas are made in house and fluffy, they got tv's for the sports fans, their service is amazing and attentive, etc!! I'm just so excited to keep going back

Chocoflan is sooo good!!

If you're looking for a flashy, high-end bistro, keep driving. But if you want a solid,…read moredown-to-earth breakfast that actually hits the spot, you need to check out The Firestarter Bar in Kent. I've been in a few times and am impressed by the quality of the food. My hats off to the chef! Here's the breakdown of the meal: The Food Chicken Fried Steak: This wasn't one of those cheap frozen patties that's all breading. It was nice and thick with just the right amount of crunch. Sausage Gravy: The gravy can make or break this dish, and they nailed it. It was thick, savory, and had tons of flavor. Stuffed Hash Browns: I upgraded my regular hash browns to the stuffed version with bacon, and it was the best decision of the day. They were perfectly fried and crispy--exactly how hash browns should be. Over Easy Eggs: It's surprisingly hard to find a place that doesn't overcook these lately, but mine came out exactly as ordered. Pancakes: I swapped my toast for pancakes, and they were fluffy and light. They serve them with soft whipped butter and syrup, which makes a huge difference. The Service The real star of the morning was Debbie. She's essentially a one-woman show--running the bar, waiting tables, and serving everyone. She is absolutely awesome and keeps the place moving smoothly. It's rare to see that kind of hustle these days. The Verdict Don't let the "bar" label or the exterior scare you off. It's a friendly, welcoming spot with better food than most dedicated breakfast joints in the area. Give this place a chance--you won't regret it.

I'm so glad we decided to stay and eat... the crispy chicken sandwich was fabulous! Definitely will order again if in the area. Breakfast was what my sister ordered and she raved... no leftover. So many seats inside but Just a heads up: come early or be ready to wait, because this place is always packed. It's busy, a little chaotic, but 100% worth it. There's 20 Chinese aunties running around so please come with an open mind. No matter how long the wait gets, I'll always make time for my bookie pookie.

The food itself is high quality. The best pan-fried noodles I've had in a long time (aka chow mein,…read morechoose the crispy option). Dim sum is some of the best in the Seattle area. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area.

ALERT THE MASSES: Bubba's Place isn't just a bar--it's a rhinestone-encrusted portal to a dimension…read morewhere Liberace and the Village People collided at Studio 54 and decided to start a cult. The moment you walk in, you're hit with the sonic equivalent of a disco ball making sweet love to a grand piano covered in sequins. The house band, "The Construction Workers in Candelabras," performs "YMCA" as if it were a classical piano concerto, complete with crystal chandeliers that pulse in rhythm to every "Young Man!" The pianist wears a cape made entirely of mirror balls and has legally changed their name to "Liberace's Ghost." They don't take requests--they take DEMANDS, preferably shouted while wearing a feather boa. The bartenders all dress like different Village People characters, but with added crystal-encrusted epaulettes that would make Elton John blush. Their signature cocktail, "In the Navy But Make It Fabulous," comes in a glass piano shaped vessel that plays "Macho Man" when you drink from it. It's garnished with a tiny working disco ball and costs more than your monthly car payment. Every Thursday is "Excessive Expression Night" where the regulars compete to see who can combine the most flamboyant Liberace-inspired costume with authentic Village People choreography. Last week, someone performed "Can't Stop The Music" while playing a bedazzled keytar atop a rotating gold-plated motorcycle. Three people fainted from the sheer magnificence. The dance floor is actually a giant light-up piano keyboard that triggers both musical notes AND fog machines. The regulars have mastered the art of playing "Go West" with their feet while simultaneously doing the arm movements from "YMCA." It's now considered a local rite of passage. Five stars. Would absolutely risk temporary blindness from excessive sequin exposure while watching a leather-clad cowboy perform Chopin on a piano that shoots actual fireworks. Just remember to bring sunglasses (for the rhinestones) and a signed liability waiver (for the spontaneous conga lines). P.S. Legend has it if you say "Liberace" three times into the bathroom mirror, all the toilets start playing "In The Navy" in perfect harmony. The health department has given up trying to explain this one.
