It's been a while since I been back. But once again this place is awesome. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is great. I ordered the butcher cut steak with friends and it was great. The steak was slightly over cooked for my medium request, but not a deal breaker at all. It could use a tad bit more seasoning but again I'm just being a snob about it. The house cut fries are very fresh and good. The demi glaze was amazing touch. The banana dessert is absolutely excellent. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. read more

We have been to this restaurant multiple times in the past after discovering from multiple company functions I have attended I ordered a ceaser salad with prawns My salad was made with partly romaine lettuce stumps and some kale , dressing was not even good it had 3 pieces of prawns Portion was medium size The cost of this was $26 there were 2 prices listed 10/18 I thought $10 was lunch /18 was dinner Yet I was charge $18 for salad and +8 for prawns. That's by far the worst and most expensive Caesar salad I had My husband had double smashed burger and it cost him $22 ( which was extremely reasonable and delicious) How can they charge $26 for a medium salad that was made with the ends of the romaine and partly kale ( which I never heard kale being part of Caesar salad. read more

Two weeks ago, some friends threw me a surprise birthday party at the CopperLeaf. I had been there once before, and the ambience is so lovely that I wanted to go back. It's a large room attached to a hotel, with lots of windows and a big fireplace. The service was great, fairly quick and efficient, and had good communication. My coffee and fresh orange juice were good, the juice in particular, with some of the sweetest most delicious fresh orange juice I've ever had. But I must note that this was the second time I got their eggs Benedict and the second time that the egg yolks were not runny. They were soft, but that's not the way it should be with eggs Benedict. The first time I sent it back and they redid it. But this time around, with it being a party and everything, I didn't want to upset anyone by criticizing the food, plus we were also there a bit on the late side of brunch, so I didn't want to prolong things by having to have my dish remade. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but it really would've been better if the food had been prepared properly. I do expect to go back, but I will never be ordering eggs Benedict there again! I went with the Dungeness crab Benedict. My fiancé got the complete breakfast with bacon. The food came out pretty quickly. His bacon and eggs he said were very yummy. They were probably the less exciting option on the menu. The Benedict had some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. The balance with the poached egg, sauce, perfectly cooked asparagus and muffin was excellent. Fresh squeezed juice was very yummy too. I'm a huge fan of Copperleaf! Such a hidden gem near SEATAC! I've been going here for years! I only discovered Copperleaf because my sales team took us here for dinner, and I was instantly smitten! As I've mentioned it is a hidden gem, you have to drive through a neighborhood to get to the Cedarbrook Resort and Lodge. And despite it being so close to the airport, you wouldn't even know there are planes overhead! I've dined inside, outside and in the bar area. My favorite place is outside on the patio overlooking the garden area, when the weather is nice. Service is great, too! But let's talk about what keeps bringing me back - it's the food!!! The menu is driven by the season - so whatever's in season, you'll find it on the menu. Generally, if duck is on the menu, that's my order and they do it so well! But on several occasions, I've had their lamb, too. Recently, I had their Salish Sea Wild caught King Salmon swimming in dashi broth and surrounded by veggies - so delicious!!! But don't sleep on their chowders, also seasonal, and never a dissappointment. Desserts are well thought out - I also never had a dessert I didn't like at Copperleaf. So what are you waiting for? The three of us met a friend attending a conference at the Cedarbrook Lodge. What was initially arrange for convenience ended up being a great meal. We got the focaccia, Caesar salad (which they split onto two plates), sweet potato soup, scallops, chicken, halibut, rack of lamb. Everything was delicious and generous. I've been out of town for a few months and just got back to Seattle. I met a couple friends for brunch and to catch up on things. It was a beautiful day and we were able to get a table outside. Started with coffee and a mimosa will I waited for my friends to join me. Service was nice and attentive. Once my friends joined , the staff quickly showed up and took their drink orders. We chatted for a bit then placed our orders. Each of us had small requests in their orders ( no tomato, no arugula, no pickles). All were happily accepted. When my order came out, the no pickles request was not adhered to. I pointed it out and the waiter had the kitchen fire a new order without complaint. When it came out, the waiter confirmed that he did annotate the order but the kitchen missed it. He comped it without me asking! Came for dinner with the company I work for. We had a private room but arrived early so had a table in the bar section prior to dinner. We come here about twice a year for work dinners and always go to the bar first. Our service was excellent both at the bar area and in the private room. The steak was so delicious. It's clear they have a true chef at this restaurant. I had a chicken dish with asparagus and orzo and it was very good. The side salad I had was also really well balanced. The restaurant is pricey but it's worth it if you want a special occasion. Also even though the setting is in SeaTac it's in a little muscle spot within the woods it feels like you are miles away in Issaquah or North bend so it's like a retreat that's not so far away from the big cities. read more

This restaurant is literally perfect. Everything from the ambience to the service and the food are perfect! We love eating here during our once a year stay at cedarbrook. It's very elegant & the food is always unique. Sometimes the menu items are so unique they are hard to understand but our server was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the things we'd never heard of before. Our server Nick was great! Super friendly and had great recommendations! The pork chop was amazing, it was a literal rack of pork that was really wonderful. The duck service is one of the best meals we've ever eaten. It's so cool how they use many parts of the duck in one entree. The brioche rolls with the duck are what dreams are made of. This place gives off cozy lodge vibes! As other reviews have pointed out, the restaurant is in the middle of the entrance with incredibly high ceilings and windows available to capture the views outside. Love that there's lots of free parking as well. We made a reservation and were seated very promptly. I was craving a smash burger and my friend ordered a salad. I have been here about 4 times and the food here has never really blown me away. What keeps bringing me back is the ambiance, especially if the weather is nice and you can sit outside. There is a beautiful garden with a very peaceful creek. I recently came back here because I was staying for a night at cedarbrook and ordered the carbonara. It was disappointing. It was the most expensive thing on the bar menu, it came out cold, starchy, had very little meat, and later gave me a stomachache. The staff is really kind and polite. They had made a mistake with one of the other orders and were quick to correct and comp the entree. I'll probably just stick to getting a cocktail or glass of wine if I ever come back. read more

Waitstaff dropped a menu on the table - no place setting, no water or offer for coffee. We were one of two tables with customers. They seated the parties right next to each other - a little too cozy in such a spacious restaurant, especially in the early morning. At 7:30am, when housekeeping staff are eager beavers and restaurant staff are taken up ghosting customers, maybe the management priorities are out of whack. read more

Giving this 3 stars because of what happened when we went there for lunch 9/29. I've been to Copperleaf several times and up til now always had awesome food and service. Monday I went with my husband and he had a bowl of geoduck chowder. It was barely even lukewarm so he sent it back. The replacement bowl was not only skimpy but had not one single clam in it. That was his lunch. An expensive bowl of clam broth. He didn't want to keep sending food back. Whoever scooped out the bowl clearly didn't care. Two bowls and neither were any good. When you scoop soup out from a pot, you're supposed to get some of the meats/fish and vegetables from the bottom and not just broth. Afterward, I thought about it, was actually kind of ticked off and so I phoned them. I received their voicemails so I left a message. Did not hear back. Do better, Copperleaf. read more

UPSCALE DINING AT CEDARBROOK LODGE IN SEATAC CITY. My wife and I were tired of the same old places in Burian and Des Moines. A quick search on Yelp provided some options. We decided on the Copperleaf since it looked nice on the website and was only five miles from our house. I'm happy to say it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in the neighborhood. The lodge itself is four-star, and the restaurant is located right in the center of the high vaulted lodge ceiling. You sit in BIG comfy chairs near a giant fireplace. Our waitress was Adrianna, who provided excellent service and was simply a joy to chat with. We started with the MACRINA BAGUETTE, which came with butter and tomato pesto. We also ordered the SMOKED SCALLOP CHOWDER, which they were kind enough to split for us and serve in two bowls. It was so good that we both had to sop up the remains with our bread. For the main course, I had the MISHIMA ULTRA WAGYU STEAK FRITES, which were seared and cooked to medium-rare perfection. My wife had the Cauaqvin. I'm not sure how to spell it, but she said it was delicious. All told, our evening was relaxing, with good food, good conversation, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Be advised: This place is pricy but worth every penny. So, I start with five stars and deduct....zero! Everything was great! A 6 star experience on every level. This beautifully situated restaurant inside Cedar Brook Lodge is like a mountain ski lodge. We sat near a roaring fire and had the most friendly service. The smoked scallops cream soup was delicious, vegetables a bit hard but still wonderful. The Waygu burger looked like a page out of Food and Wine magazine. It was even more delicious than photogenic. Went here for a second time to introduce the spot to my spouse for our anniversary. It's fancy so that fits the idea, but it's not "cozy" or "intimate" which turned out to be something we didn't like. I think because the first time I went I got a nice window seat, it felt better. This time we got a two-seater right in the front, kinda where all the action is - aisles on two sides, left and behind us, with staff and visitors going back and forth, including visitors to the bar, also to the left, the cabinet uses to put things down, and other miscellaneous activities - not to mention that the very comfy looking seats are actually not comfy at all to eat in (they'd be great to sit and chat in next to a side table - which brings up the other issue, the table is too big for a couple; we could barely even hand each other things to try across this table). Service was very polite yet a little bit slow. We appreciated the champagne offered for our anniversary yet still felt slighted a little bit in comparison to other tables that maybe were ordering more than we were. Menu. A bit disappointed in the "almonds and olives" which ya'll, that's what it is. Literally. I guess I thought it was some kind of spread that you put on the croquettes. But no. It's olives in a bowl and almonds in a bowl. Yummy but DEFINITELY not worth the price. The husband loved his lamb, which came in a typical kind of minute portion you might see made fun of on multiple television skits when it comes to "upscale" restaurants. I got the blue cheese salad - wow, the blue cheese was REALLY STRONG and the steak, sadly, was not tender (hard to chew). We passed on dessert as we were full, probably a lot from the introductory complimentary bread, which was very tasty. I guess what we learned on this night was that we'd rather go somewhere cozy and tried and true. This place would be great if you were staying here, though. What a dining experience it was. We took advantage of the room services and dining experience. We happen to be there for the new year eve experience. The event was a pricey event but enjoyable for the theme of new years. Room service was accessible via an app with limitations of food. The dine in menu had more options. We got the room rate that included $50 breakfast. So we also enjoyed the brunch menu. Staff were attentive to the customer. We ate at the bar on new year eve with a selection of choices with an increase price. The food was good but as mentioned overpriced. The presentation was great. We recently went here I'm too occasions - once for breakfast add another day for lunch. The breakfast items, which we've had on three different occasions, were quite good and the coffee was very good. Our experience at lunch was a bit different. One of us had the grilled cheese sandwich, which the person said was very good, another had the fish and chips, which was reported to be very good as well, one person had a salad, which they said was okay, one person had a hamburger, which was lacking, and the fifth person have the geoduck clam chowder, which had a heavy concentration of celery taste to it, few clams, and many quite large potato chunks. Again, we have only been to lunch year once while going to breakfast here several times. We recommend the breakfast. The environment is quite lovely with the interior having an open air feel and a fireplace in the room. If you or one of your guests gets chilled easily, it is suggested they take a light jacket as it can be cooler inside as well as outside. On all occasions, the staff was personable, professional, and attentive to our needs. We rank them as excellent. read more

They offer a great selection of cocktails, wine, and spirits. I was looking forward to enjoying a drink I had on a previous visit, but found out they rotate their menu seasonally--something to keep in mind if you have a favorite. This review is for the bar specifically. My wife and I commute via SEATAC regularly and we like to visit the Copperleaf for dinner or snacks before or after flying. We have been here at least 5 times over the past two years. Generally, when we dine at the restaurant we have really excellent service and food. It is really nice during the summer to dine al fresco and the wait staff are really attentive...especially because we inform them when we have a flight or some other sort of deadline. Our last two visits to Copperleaf we went to the bar (June & September 2025). On the first visit we were two of three people in the room. From the outset, we informed the bartender that we were attending a concert that night and needed to leave by a certain time (1 hour and 30 minutes later). We had a couple drinks and ordered an appetizer and a burger. After ordering, the bar got a little busier, but our food never showed. We finally had to ask a manager to intervene to get our burger out of the kitchen and we ultimately had to rush out after scarfing our food. The second visit was even worse. Again, we made a point to let the bar staff know we had a deadline to drop my wife off at the airport (1:30 prior to projected drop off time). This time we ordered drinks, two apps and an entree. In this case, there was an excessively long wait for food that went unacknowledged by the staff. Again, we had to ask a manager to intervene to get our food out of the kitchen. Instead of coming out at a normal pace (apps, then entree), all of the food came out at once leaving us little time to enjoy our dinner. It's really disappointing because we love the venue and normally get great food and service from the restaurant, but I would warn anyone looking for a quick drink or snack from the bar...service can be subpar. read more

Came here since it was close to the airport and wanted to eat dinner before leaving. It was only about a 5 minute drive to seatac airport which was perfect timing. We ordered the scallop chowder and baguette for the appetizer and it was absolutely delicious! They asked if we wanted to share it and we said yes, so they served the soup in two bowls which was great. The baguette was a great touch and elevated the appetizer. For dessert, we ordered the lemon curd bavarois which was so good! I typically don't like lemon flavor desserts but my boyfriend does so we tried it out. It was the perfect amount of sour lemon and sugar and the bottom tasted of yogurt. I'm glad I ordered it since I would've overlooked it if it weren't for my boyfriend. The bathroom was super clean and they had free salts to use as an exfoliator while washing your hands. It smelled amazing and made my hands feel so soft. If I ever fly out of SeaTac airport at night again, I will definitely be back! read more

Came here for my birthday and was blown away by the food and service. Started with mock-tails that were just okay, little too tart for me. Ordered the tuna noodles, bread and butter, pork belly and the seasonal green salad to start. Pork belly melted in my mouth, the pickled veg were a nice addition to the sweet/richness of the pork. Tuna noodles were my favorite, light and just the right amount of seasoning. Bread was good and warm, the tomato pesto was not good though. The salad was good but the goat cheese was a little too much for me. For mains, we got the steak and the mad thatcher chicken. Each main came with potatoes and the chicken came with a mini salad. The salad on my chicken was personally better than the one we ordered because it was lighter and simpler (lemon, oil). The potatoes were good, a simple roasted one that wasn't heavy handed. The chicken was good but the sauce (the lighter one) was a little too much for me, the lighter green one was good. Partner said the steak was fine, the potatoes that came with hers were good, a solid crispy potato. I love potatoes. We ordered the lemon curd for dessert and that was SO good, the Greek yogurt layer really helped balance the acidity and the cake croutons were a nice textural element.
