I attended an event at Anthony's Homeport. The place is huge multi-level. The location is great, especially on a sunny day with the marina in its full glory and the waterfront setting is perfect. The decor is vintage and so is the food. The salad was ok, the salmon was good and the steak was decent. If you are looking for a good place for a palate reset, this is it. They have AYCE tempura battered shrimp Mondays for 30 bucks. Plus other specials almost every day. One standout is the service where the staff takes the time to check on you and make your experience memorable. And easy free parking with validation. What's not to love!

I am a big fan of Anthony's! The have several locations in the Northwest and usually have amazing waterfront views. They spend a little more on the inside decor and have huge windows that highlight the waterfront views. This location is no different. They also have the buying power to get good deals on fresh seafood. One must order when you come is the clam chowder - one of the best I've had. Today I had wild salmon tacos for lunch and my wife had the blackened rock port fish tacos and went with lettuce instead of tortillas. We had a wonderful lunch and will be back.

I am really surprised this place gets such low marks on Yelp! The low marks do not accurately reflect Anthony's and how wonderful it is! We had a such a great time at Anthony's! Anthony's made for the perfect date night. We made an early dinner reservation so we could be sure to order off the sunset menu. We were seated at a table by the window with an excellent view! It took a few minutes for a server to arrive, but once they did our server Patrick was excellent. We turned the 3 course into a 4 course by ordering a salad for $5. The food was wonderful! The clam chowder was excellent. The Caesar salad was great! The almond sole fish was so tender it fell off the fork! We each ordered a desert. The chocolate mousse was outstanding and so good! The crème brûlée was amazing too! Anthony's was really great! The menu is fresh & is based on the season. The sunset dinner is a great value & you can't beat the views! Overall an excellent time & we'll def be back next time we're in town!

Outstanding view, impressive service and delicious food. The St Louis style ribs were fall off the bone amazing. The corn bread was very tasty and the complementary veggies were perfectly cooked. The steelhead salad was some of the best salmon I have eaten. Delicious and not at all fishy tasting. The shrimp cocktail was a container full of tiny shrimp. Different than others I have had. The wild Alaska lingcod delicious. Virgin minty pear drink was so refreshing!!! Loved it!! If you need dessert, you can't go wrong with the cherry buckle with ice cream on the warm crust. Amazing. While I normally share my deserts, I did not share this one, which the other 3 people mentioned... ha ha. Go for the amazing view of the snow capped mountains, stay for the food!

The service was absolutely wonderful. We had salmon. One burger and 3 of us had the fish and chips. I like salmon this way. We sat downstairs which is more casual than upstairs.

Very nice and it feels like a proper Pacific Northwest experience. Great selection in the menu but don't lock down your choice until you read the specials of the day! Kudos for nice Mocktails served in generous pint glasses! The steamed Manila clams was my favorite and the sole almondine was unfortunately deep fried to an indistinguishable recognition.

I love Anthony's! Great view, great service, great food. Although this particular meal was one of my least favorites I've had here, the halibut. But other than that any other dish I've had has been so good. I love coming here in the summer and sitting outside to enjoy the weather, view, food and drinks.

Always delicious seafood at this local historical spot! I love how they have sunset dinner for $33 that includes 3 courses. Appetizers are all delicious and fresh. Great views of the port! Easy gated parking with validation at the front desk.

A Tiny Creole-style restaurant with a small bar and a limited menu…read more I was curious about this place. It's in a tiny parking lot on a side street in Des Moines. It's a small storefront and a little challenging to find. During the pandemic, my wife and I stumbled across it, but it was closed. We did get to chat with the chef-owner. He explained he could not afford to keep the doors open full-time due to the lack of clientele during the difficult mask-up period. He indicated that he would start limited hours soon. So, fast forward to today. The restaurant IS open at certain times, and I advise you to double-check the hours as they seem to change. So, anxious to try authentic creole food, I dropped in one afternoon and sat at the small but nice-looking wooden bar. The bartender lady was friendly and got me a bottled beer (no draft here). I scanned the short menu and asked for a recommendation. She recommended the Jambalaya. I found the Jambalaya extremely disappointing. As you can see from my photo, I was served a gigantic mound of Jambalaya rice. It was sticky, tasty, spicy, and filling, but "Where's the beef?". I felt like I was on a treasure hunt, searching for the protein in this giant mound of rice. I found a single slice of sausage and a few chicken pieces throughout. This may be how some families in Louisiana stretch their grocery supplies, but this is NOT what a customer expects at a restaurant. If this was the recommendation, then I am terrified of what the gumbo or some of the other dishes are like. To make matters worse, the bathroom had no light! I turned the switch on and off a few times, and the light would flicker a little, but I could not see a thing. I had to take out my phone to see where to do my business! After I washed my hands, I discovered the paper towel dispenser empty. When I returned to the bar, I found the Chef-owner leaning on the bar, chatting with the bartender and the only other customer there. Of course, I let him know about the state of his bathroom. "The light flickers?" he said., "Um yeah," I responded. He shrugged like this was an acceptable state of affairs. No apology, no action or promise to correct the issues. Just a matter-of-fact demeanor. Like it was MY problem! I can maybe understand an employee acting this way, but the owner? Is he serious about running a restaurant? Perhaps this is a hobby or a tax shelter; who knows? I will never return. I am a Yelp Elite Squad reviewer, and it pains me to have to award anything less than four stars for a struggling neighborhood business, but if the owner doesn't care, why should I? And now the results: Starting from 5, I detract one-half star from edible but disappointing food. One star for an unkept bathroom with no light. One star for a poor attitude. Another half-star for odd hard-to-keep-track of hours. Then adding my overall experience, I'm going to award a generous two stars. I sincerely doubt, and, judging by the owner's attitude, that he even cares; however, I will say this to him. If you are serious about running a restaurant and competing with the likes of Wally's or Anthony's in Des Moines, then I would seriously give your attitude a check, as well as the attention you pay to your bathroom and the content of the meat in your food. Good luck. BTW, if you enjoyed my review or found it useful, funny, or cool, please don't hesitate to click the little button to say so, or better yet, go ahead and friend me. So go on! Press that button, and never miss one of my epic reviews in the Seattle area and beyond. Excelsior!
