I have to admit. Taco Bell is closer to where I live but when I'm looking for a good quality and consistency, I go to taco time. I found there to be adequate parking and a large menu board as soon as you walk in the door. The person taking my order was very cheerful and friendly. From the time I grabbed my drink and sat down. It was no more than five minutes until I got my food. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. I got hot sauce on the side and it was the perfect compliment. As I was eating, someone came out and made sure to clean the dining room room, including sweeping the floors. Condition of the interior was immaculate, and they even stopped by to check on the guests. Great experience and if you're in the area, please enjoy taco time. read more

I grew up in the area, but have been living in a different state for over 20 years and I didn't realize that Taco Time NW is different then Taco Time everywhere else! Here the ingredients are fresh and the portions are large! My go to order is the chicken soft taco, mexi-fries, and crustos. This time was just as delicious as I remember. Not sure why this place has bad reviews. I have NEVER had an unfriendly experience nor a missed item in my bag. And the food is ALWAYS what you expect, delicious! Heck, the food you receive looks just like the pictures on the menu. The drive-thru line goes by so fast, especially during lunch and dinner time. Today I tried the Taco burger and it was very good! Messy but hit the spot. The thousand island dressing was a nice addition. And the bun has a subtle sweet taste like a Hawaiian roll. It all worked very well together. Tasted a lot like their tacos but in a bun. Bonus, you can spoon the remaining ingredients that fell from the burger into a new taco if you so choose! read more

I have tried the chicken Caesar taco/soft taco wrap thing three times so far and I just got one at this location and it was the worst one I've ever had. It was half empty with all the chicken at the very bottom of the taco/burrito thing and there wasn't a single test. It wasn't even worth two dollars and I'm pissed. This location just recently reopened after several moths of a complete remodel including the drive thru! They expanded to have 2 ordering lines in the drive thru and now there is a pay window and a prep and hand off window. This makes this location desirable as it's on a small lot, and they even added more accessible parking! Very well done! The order was accurate fresh and hot! Some fast food is just thrown together but this was made with purpose. We used the drive through but the building was extremely clean and I'm sure the inside is just as nice. Apparently drive through only!!! Employees won't even look in the direction of the entry door. It says the lobby is open but there is a garbage dumpster blocking the door. My vehicle doesn't fit in the drive through so you have lost a customer. read more

The floor was absolutely filthy, as if it hadn't been washed in a month. My shoes were really sticky when I left. The food was okay, but judging by the floor, I question how clean the kitchen is. They just remodeled this restaurant. It looks nice. The food is still good but the restrooms are terrible. If you go to the restroom, you have to have a code you go to the door you go back to the register you ring a bell you get the code then you go in to use the restroom. There is no wash basin in the restroom. They are outside the restroom so the people that use the restroom don't wash their. hands when they leave the restroom they have to do it on the outside so everybody can see what they're doing this is very unhealthy. I for one will never go into this restaurant ever again it is not clean that way. It should be put a wash basin in the restroom so people can clean their hands properly. Thanks read more

As a longtime customer of Taco Time at this and other locations, I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Certainly over the last 15 years I've had a couple of issues, but that is expected as the team is constantly changing and learning. But Makaylah and her crew have been rock stars, over the last year, especially during the COVID pandemic. The team is fast, friendly and always willing to help. I eat at this location at least 4 times a week and I can honestly say, I love it. The food is fresh and delicious, I'm addicted to the hot sauce, and the staff is wonderful. It is always a pleasure to walk in or even drive thru and be warmly greeted and made to feel valued. read more

Not the first time this happened. Drive thru orders always messed up. Keep missing several orders and service is always super sloooow! We ordered a chicken nuggets kids meal which they didn't put in the bag so make sure you guys check food items before leaving the window. When we got home, kids meal didn't include toys in it, and the nuggets.... Oh goodness! How could I let my kid eat that? Even an adult wouldn't eat that burnt chicken! There was a time when Taco Time was a safe alternative to a full service Mexican restauarant, but greed, laziness and lower quality ingrediants have reduced all locations to true fast food status, not much better than competition like Taco Bell. I decided to try this location after the location closest to my home closed for remodeling. I ordered a combo meal from a less than happy, friendly or enthused cashier. When my meal came, my mexi fries were served in a container about 40% full. Now, I had been told previously, containers are not served full despite decades of having my fries served that way. Today was a new low as the portion for a medium fry only had about 5-6 more taters than the child size. When I asked the same cashier why my portion was so small, she said, "It all depends on how scoops your fries". Seeing as everyone else in the restaurant had at least 30% more fries, it was obvious, I got a fry novice to scoop mine. The food was luke warm and the seasoning lacked the kick and zip that used to make Taco Time taste like someone had actually been to Mexico. I considered asking to speak to a manager, but why, I was the sucker for assuming fast food had any quality control and after years of declining service, flavor and ridiculous prices, it should have been clear that Taco Time couldn't give AF, and this location need a complete overhaul on staffing. No personality, no tact and no class equals no good. This place has garbage reviews, for good reason. Taco Time need a big swift kick in their back pocket to remind them of what they used to be. If you are going to charge top dollar, you better provide top shelf food and service. read more

We have dealt with this too much in the past few years. Ordered 2 salads...not hard...no chips, no salad dressing. So tired of crappy service. This happens way too often, if you can't employ competent people then the owner needs to oversee the day to day 24/7. It's ridiculous to get home and have a partial order after paying for a whole order. Then when you call back, no one answers. Not the first issue we've had, you'd think they would care and make adjustments. Nope, and Covington is no better. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

Went through the drive thru on June 23 and ordered two meals with chicken, one with beef. Confirmed the order. Got home and all meals were with beef. Called the restaurant to complain and of course are option was to drive 20 minutes back to the restaurant or have them send a voucher/gift card. We opted for the voucher/gift card. Confirmed our mailing address with them. Today is July 11 and we are still waiting for compensation. Won't be back. read more

This is my second time I've been here in two days. I typically go through the drive-through at Fairwood for TacoTime, but being from Maple valley, this makes more sense. These two times through the drive-through have been faster than any other TacoTime. Food was as ordered and people were nice. Ooooooh no. I was hungry and had high hopes but the food was thoroughly disappointing. The company claims to be local, fresh, and sustainable but it sure didn't look or taste like it. We did appreciate the patience and friendly attitude of the young lady taking our order at the counter. We were a bit slow in ordering since it was our first time at Taco Time. I settled on a chicken ranchero burrito with one crispy taco and Mr P had a soft taco combo (1 chicken and 1 beef) and a side of some kind of beans (pintos, maybe). We waited quite a long time for our order to arrive at the table. I guess we just expected better, but we were reminded of a bad version of Del Taco. None of our food seemed fresh and everything tasted very bland. Just yucky. As for the restaurant itself, the decor looks like it hasn't been changed since early 1980's and also seemed to be left over from whatever was there before. Certainly nothing that signaled we were in a taco establishment. The tables needed cleaning and I didn't let myself look too closely at the floor or in the corners. On a final note, the soda machine is a disaster. I understand that the ability to dispense 150 different kinds of soda from one machine is utterly amazing but all the steps involved take too long and create a bottleneck affecting both the front door and the cash register when more than one person is waiting. Heaven help you if you just want ice for the iced tea located in a separate container. read more

I'm so sick and tired of the endless failures of Taco Time and every other restaurant and business that "serves" the 99%. They can't take an order accurately and consistently. Then they can't make the food that gets ordered with either quality or accuracy. Today I ordered food for multiple people. In the realm of fast food, thank God for Taco Time. The ones in western WA all use locally sourced ingredients, lots of veggies, and have a great menu for those who may be health-conscious for one reason or another. For about $5, I can get a great tasting burrito that fills me up and doesn't make me feel like absolute crap afterwards. PLUS their sides are awesome if you do feel like caving in to temptation. Their mexi-fries are little bites of heaven, and their crustos (cinnamon tortilla strips) are a unique airy-yet-crispy texture. Pro tip: they add guac to anything at no charge read more

And our crispy tacos- the lettuce and tomatoes were way over ripe- obviously shouldn't be served to customers. Please care more about the quality of your products. Spent $70 for food for the family and they forget to put half of our order in the bag. Live about 20 min away so my husband drives back down there asks where the rest of his order is and their like huh!! So he goes in and they still don't know nothing. He has his receipt and now he's mad so he says a few words and they find the old food that they didn't give to us the first time and tells him their going to call the cops on him. My husband is a man of color and this place is racist!!! so now the kids get cold dinner, we didn't even get ours and they didn't say sorry offer a refund or re due the whole order, so we could all have hot food.
