We were in town for baseball and wanted to find something close to the highway. Location was perfect for that. We love a good smash burger and Burger Buds did not disappoint. We ordered the Lil bud, Simple Smash (smaller than the photo but very filling), Grilled cheese: Buds way and added bacon (It was like a patty melt on a bun, so good!) Between the 4 of us, we ordered 2 sides of fries and that was plenty. Side note: I'm not really a fry person unless they are submerged in ranch. These are cooked to perfection in beef tallow, crunchy, fluffy and lightly salted. I didn't even use any sauce. The food truck doesn't have any seating but since we came from watching baseball we had lawn chairs and we just pulled them out and ate in the parking lot. read more

Flavor/taste wise.. it's was a pretty good burger. I'd give it 4.0/5.0 score on taste. Was there last week.. The bad - I ordered a 'Proper Patty'. The burger I got did not look like what you see on the picture. My impression of what I got was 'this is 2 patty smashed together? Is this just one or two patty? Where is the second patty?'. This was a very underwhelming experience. This is a food truck, conveniently nestled beside a brewery in their parking lot. They provide a buzzer to call you up to claim your order. Our burgers came out in the estimated time but were a lot smaller and crushed than expected. My pictures look nothing like their pictures! Flavor was ok. The moon rocks were not strips but rather just chunks of cut up bread that was fried and coated with syrup and cinnamon. No cream cheese frosting, either. Not worth the price imo. read more

What an experience! I heard that this place open not too long ago and about to get there. This was the evening that I decided to go. I figured with everyone out of town for the holiday weekend. It wouldn't be busy. There was a steady line there from the time I got there until I left, which was about 20 minutes in total. This place is located in Maple Valley directly adjacent to Crown Donuts. There is adequate parking on either side. The staff is very helpful if you have questions and when you place your order, they give you a buzzer that will flash and make buzzing. Sounds when your order is ready. Total wait time was about 15 minutes after I placed my order. I ordered the Proper Patty burger, fries, and a Coke. There is a separate window for pick up and they made sure I had plenty of napkins and ketchup. My car smelled so good on the way home that I was thinking they should create an air freshener with this fragrance. The burger was absolute perfection. Two Smashburger patties, cheese, special sauce, onions, tomato, and lettuce, and the bun was soft and delicious. The fries are drizzled in beef tallow, which gives them an additional flavor. Since they're only a couple of miles from my place I look forward to heading down there more often. Definitely worth the trip to Maple Valley if you're thinking about it. read more

Our daughters treated their daddy for Father's Day. They know he loves burgers but I don't, so they found this burger food truck at a new location. Apparently their original place is in enumclaw. But what do I know. Parked next door to a bar and grill. I actually thought it wasn't bad. Meat tastes fresh and not frozen, liked how the buns tasted fresh and not old and stale like most food trucks and fast food places. And the young lady taking orders was sweet and courteous. Been more than 5x's now. I'd love to say more, but "decent'ish" is the rating. Burger quality is inconsistent in parts quantity from one visit to the next. When it's on, it's on. But too many times it's "more this; less that" and vice versa. Not sure why, but "Double Smash" claim has more than once been delivered as "Single Smash". I've been here multiple times and ordered the same item, and every single experience has been equally terrible... The first time I came, we waited over 40 minutes for two burgers we placed online ahead of time. The app told us our order was ready, but when we arrived they said "10 more minutes" and gave us a buzzer. While waiting, I overheard a young women who could have been a manager (gave out the orders at the window) yelling at employees not to make the food until the customer shows up, even though online orders mark as "ready." That gave me the impression they don't actually start cooking until you're there to pick up your order , which makes the "ready for pickup" notification completely pointless. I let it slide that first time because I was just eavesdropping and speculating. Another visit, I asked the wait time before I decided to order, and was told 15 minutes. An hour later, I finally got my food. I don't want to sit or stand in the parking lot begind a smelly gas station for over a hour each time I get food from this place, that's ridiculous!!!! Every time my partner orders a Coke, they never put it in the bag or hand it to us. We always have to remind them. At this point, it feels intentional.... My partner even left a review on Google before, posting a picture of his chicken tenders that were basically a rip off, small tiny pieces. We waited 40+ minutes for cold fries and tiny pieces of chicken. We don't even bother with delivery because they always forget the sauces we pay for. Again, makes you wonder if it's intentional, like the Coke situation. And today is the last straw. I ordered the Wenatchee burger like I always do, and it had no blue cheese, no bacon, no apples and no sauce!!!! What am I supposed to do, drive all the way back in the middle of my family's dinner just to prove it? It's insane!! I've given this place plenty of chances, and every time has been a mistake. I'd rather drive 40 minutes out of my way than deal with this again. Never coming back. My wife and I have been coming in regularly for about a year, but our last several visits have been frustrating. This was our sixth incorrect or poorly prepared order, and it's becoming difficult to overlook. This is my 2nd review... We've made specific requests and even paid for add-ons, but they're often ignored or barely included. For example, my wife consistently asks for no cheese but still receives it, and when I pay extra for Gorgonzola, it's such a minimal amount that it's hard to even notice in the salad. If I have to search for an add-on, it doesn't feel right to be charged for it. It's especially disappointing because we've taken the time to provide modifications, but it doesn't seem like they're being read or followed by staff. The overall effort and attention to detail just haven't been there. We used to recommend your place, but unfortunately, we've reached a point where we won't be returning. It's not easy to find hidden back behind most of the surrounding buildings but this food truck is with the search. Awesome tasting burger that will make you taste buds jump with delight and a tasty special sauce for the fries. Usually I ditch special sauces and just go for ketchup but this is really good. Make sure you are hungry and have a good appetite. Since it's a food truck there isn't any seating and not much of a picturesque place in the shopping area. Burgers are a hard thing to screw up, but some people do. When I saw this place pop up, I wasn't completely confident with the menu, but decided to check them out. In my opinion, burgers should be fully loaded and if you choose to omit ingredients, that's on you, but I don't feel like I should ever have to ask for pickles, onion, tomato, etc. I did here. Matter of fact, my inquiry appeared to confuse the staff. I asked how big the patties were, and the first person said, "I don't know". I replied by saying "I'd like to try a burger, but I'd like to know what I'm getting", A woman then piped in, "Patties are ¼ lb" I then responded by saying, "Then the signature burger is a half-pound since it's 2 patties"? She quickly corrected herself by saying, and I quote. The patties are ¼ lb each, but the burger is ¼ pound" To which I quickly corrected, if the burger is ¼ lb and has 2 patties, ea would be 1/8th lb." I quickly caught the stink eye and probably should have left, but at that point, I just decided to pass on the burger and went with chicken strips. The strips were crisp as well as the fries. However, these were the skinniest strips I've ever seen. They were well breaded, but the chicken was filleted so thin it would take two strips to resemble a normal strip. The fries also were dry, that is the best I can explain them. Either this place uses a low quality oil, or the oil needs to be changed, or possibly the potatoes just weren't fresh. At present the spot only has 3 reviews and I'm not shocked to see they are 5 star. Yelpers continue to let down the community by just handing out 5-star reviews like participation trophies. It's possible the burgers are better, but the fries were terrible, and they nickel and dime you for sauces, toppings and extras. Since this appears to be owned by Cascadia, I'm not at all surprised. Burger Buds is just another overpriced cash grab and I suspect locals will be ready and willing to hand over their hard earned dollar for something less than affordable. The closest burger I would recommend would be Frugals in Auburn. You get a fully loaded bacon cheese with fries and a drink for about $12, and your won't be disappointed. read more

Order was done through door dash and I will say even with not eating the fries fresh and hot they were still good. I think a massive improvement they can make on the fries is instead deep frying in tallow, but tossing in duck fat instead of tallow. Also a truffle powder option would be out of this world. I would gladly pay for that. Now for the burger unfortunately I was hungry and didn't take any pics but I destroyed the biggest burger they had. I was so stuffed by the end of it. I'm beyond excited that Burger Buds, my absolute favorite burger truck, has set up a permanent home right in my neighborhood. We chose to stay local and feasted on Burger Buds for our dinner choice. They were delicious!!!! I think for working out of a food trailer they're giving out a pretty top notch meal. But at the price point I guess I was hoping for something more. Waited 45 minutes for our food. Was parked right next to the truck so got to watch the workers in the truck the whole time. Not just disorganized chaos but also seemed like some health issues with staff handling food after touching money and taking buzzers from customers without changing gloves or washing hands and going right back to handeling the burgers that set on the counter. When brought this up to staff the response was "yeah it's crazy busy tonight". Needless to say we didn't get our food so can't comment on taste or quality. read more
