From where I live, I can literally see my usual Jersey Mike's store right across the street from me. I stopped in last week at around 6:30 PM and was told that they were completely out of bread. Unusual situation so I decided to make a trip to the Covington location. It took me less than 10 minutes to get there and I was greeted warmly upon entering. I let them know that the location I generally go to was out of bread and apparently they were aware of it already. I ordered my favorite sub... Number 99 substituting provolone for white American cheese. The staff were very warm and friendly and kept the orders moving as a steady line formed behind me. If I were Mike I wouldn't be so quick to put my name on this place. I ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch. At first I could not identify the meat as chicken. Not bad, I got a classic Italian Mike's way. I would've definitely preferred Italian dressing but they don't offer that I did really like the soda that I got with Neil as it was some thing local. Great food and great service. Every other JM has been an okay experience. We always come for the food because that's typically consistent. Where this store shines is its customer service. They go above and beyond to make sure every customer is taken care of in a timely manner. Even with 10 tickets on the bar we didn't feel rushed or like our order was an inconvenience. Wow. My favorite fast food place and they did this to me tonight. We got 2 bowls, #16 and #26. And they obviously put the lettuce and tomatoes all in one bowl! What the hell? I wasn't about to drive a mile back to get lettuce and tomatoes so we shared them. This store in Covington needs to step it up. Frustrated. How hard is it to make a sandwich correctly. 3rd time in a row our order was messed up, and on a previous visit the young man making the sub ridiculed me for asking for more Mayo. My husband's favorite sub shop and our go to quick and tasty fast lunch especially when doing projects on the weekends! Staff are friendly!

My little family of four came in here (Thursday evening) and not only was the food delicious (good quality meats etc) but the crew that was working tonight was over the top wonderful. I'm teaching my children to be confident and comfortable ordering for themselves and teaching them the importance of projecting/looking in the eyes instead of being shy... Doesn't look like much, gets rushed, not a fan of their sandwiches or they way they made mine

I went to this shop for a good 10 years, and I loved the family feel that the family that ran it had. I stopped by today to get a sandwich, and it was the last sandwich I will ever get from this location. If the assistant manager knew she had a new employee making the sandwiches, she should have had some one making sure the sandwiches were complete, but I get home and it's missing ingredients! I put the onus if this in the AM and not the new employee. When I call, I'm asked if I can come back. No I'm not coming back, and I'm never going back because of the way the shop was being handled the last time I was there! read more

I don't really eat subs. I don't go searching for them. I hate it when my brother drags me to Subway. That said, I really enjoy Jersey Mike's! Punch card alert! Every sub gets you points - you can redeem different amounts of points for different sized sandwiches. A customizable reward? Cool! The first time I went, I asked for their quintessential item. I almost never eat stuff like the Original Italian (about $7 for a footlong), and wasn't sure I'd like it...I loved it!! I usually don't leave reviews but today I shall. After three times at this Covington location and having my sandwich made incorrectly, I see the problem is habitually. The order taken was by a friendly women who talks way to fast. "Would you like that Mike's way" blurted out at you in .0006 seconds sounds more like "Woouldd y liit Mikewa" Slow down, your not in that big of a hurry. I try not to order a hot sandwich because that where the mistakes come in. When you can watch them make your sandwich you can babysit them, when it goes to back of the restaurant, well, it's in God hands, time to pray the Rosary. Its overly obvious that the "special" people work in the back. Its a potpourri of Quasimodo's meets Cheech and Chong. I waked to the back of the restaurant in hopes of smelling some colitas so I can excuse some of these mistakes. No luck, maybe it edibles? The person ahead of me got there sandwich from the back that had pickles on it, it shouldn't have. So what was their remedy? Just take the pickles off and add tomato's like she requested smash it back together. She said "it better not taste like pickles!" Anybody with half a brain knows that this sandwich is swimming in pickle juice. Well, beside "special" people might not know. My sandwich you ask? It was messed up too, not going to bore you with the tragic details. Save the "It's a hard job, you try it" because I did, years ago. "Read your tickets" the boss would say. The Jersey Mikes's location in Covington is pristine, to say the least. The roast beef is very fresh, the veggies are plentiful, and the customer service is friendly. It seems there are plenty of regulars to keep this place busy, and there is clearly a reason why. I noticed the sandwiches look exactly like the advertised pictures. Kudos for presentation!
