I just had to try Covington Teriyaki's Bento box. Because I really didn't know what I wanted to eat, and the Bento box provided a bit of everything. I am glad that I ordered this, and boy that was actually a lot of food! I ordered take out for lunch and wow they were really fast with getting this done. It only took them about 10 minutes to have my food ready for pick up! I was not disappointed with them at all! I really appreciate quickly they got this done and so nice when picking it up, too. Located in a small strip mall plaza near City Hall, this place is really good for many different teriyaki dishes. I ended up getting the spicy chicken. The portions were massive and were realistically good enough for two meals. The chicken was very well cooked and had a perfect balance of sweet teriyaki and some spicy to go along with it. The Bento box is a must when you eat here. It comes with tempura food, California rolls, salad, teriyaki and rice, and gyoza. All of the food was pretty good, except the California roll. The crabmeat was pretty dry and I couldn't finish it. I loved the teriyaki chicken, as the sauce was pretty flavorful and sweet. The dressing for the salad was pretty good as well. Service was great. Best teriyaki in Kent/covjngton/renton/maple valley. Guy that greets you is high energy and polite. The teriyaki is top notch. You can tell they use Japanese binchotan charcoal. The flavor is unreal. Their tempura is also high quality not frozen shrimp. Teri pork is also a sleeper. read more

I know what Teriyaki tastes like with a homemade sauce, when it's grilled fresh and served hot and this was not that. Service was both fast and friendly, but this is just another example of a teriyaki place that doesn't want to stand out. I will say for the price the portion was good, but in general teriyaki place all serve the same food like it all comes from the same food service supplier. Chicken teriyaki itself is good but some menu items are ok i feel like it's missing the authentic taste i feel like its because they use cheap ingredients. They up charge for fried rice which is fine but the fried rice doesn't have egg, or any seasoning it's literally white rice with butter and vegetables. I was delivering masks in Covington and was hunnngggrrrryyy after my colleague was talking about teriyaki for a good 20 minutes. Damn, I needed to find a spot quick! Covington Teriyaki to the rescue. Located by city hall in a business strip, I visited on a Wednesday around lunch and there were a few people inside, waiting for their orders. They are not allowing dine-in at this time, but they do allow people to wait for their takeout. Staff was friendly. Plenty of parking right outside the shop, even during lunch hour. I ordered the classic teriyaki entree and made it a large for a dollar more, which I recommend doing if you want two meals! The entree was huge, so the dollar upgrade was worth it. I ended up eating it for lunch and dinner the day I visited. Teriyaki was solid, and loved the bits that were slightly charred from the grill. It was served on a bed of steamed rice and came with a side salad. Side salad was what you'd expect from a teriyaki place, with iceberg lettuce and that sweet dressing that's only to be found at teriyaki spots. The teriyaki sauce on the chicken was a bit much, so would recommend getting it on the side, as I thought the chicken itself was good enough. There's something special about teriyaki around the Seattle area. It's what the area's known for, yet seems to still be a hidden gem around town, if that makes any sense. I'm always happy to get my hands on some solid teriyaki chicken, and now know where to get some when around Covington again. read more

My Wife and I as well as most of our friends have been eating here for what seems 10 years now. This is a text book teriyaki joint. The food is extremely consistent, they somehow never forget your name even if you have not been in several months. I love every dish I have every eaten and my favorite is #19 Subsitute the Beef for chicken and it comes with general tsao, rice and a salad. If i was forced to find something bad I would say the beef a little tough but the flavor is amazing. My son and me been coming here for well over 10 years and most of the time the food and the service has been top notch but today 07/16/2025 it was not the same Alex the owner has always been very friendly and respectful and treated you like he was glad you were there but that was not the same today we noticed that he was not the same today you can just tell by the way he was acting and treating his customers/ guests as usual the place was very busy and he was also taking phone orders as the same time as orders at the counter I wanted my salad to go but everything else we were going to eat there for some unknown reason he thought we wanted everything to go my son said no just one salad everything else was for there he wanted to argue with my son and ended putting everything on the same plate for there also he served two other party's food before ours when he finally did bring our food to the table I said where is mine he said that it was coming next which was about ten minutes later totally unacceptable also he put my plate on the table like he was upset was telling customers to hurry up and order he is waiting on them letting people know how busy it is which should be a good thing but I guess not today Alex you really dropped the ball today me and my son both had a terrible experience we've been a good customer of yours for some time I agree with my son Chris we don't know if we will be back after all with all the other choices out there why would we Alex you really let two of your best customers down what a shame today visit two stars just because the food was good read more
