My son and me been coming here for well over 10 years and most of the time the food and the service has been top notch but today 07/16/2025 it was not the same Alex the owner has always been very friendly and respectful and treated you like he was glad you were there but that was not the same today we noticed that he was not the same today you can just tell by the way he was acting and treating his customers/ guests as usual the place was very busy and he was also taking phone orders as the same time as orders at the counter I wanted my salad to go but everything else we were going to eat there for some unknown reason he thought we wanted everything to go my son said no just one salad everything else was for there he wanted to argue with my son and ended putting everything on the same plate for there also he served two other party's food before ours when he finally did bring our food to the table I said where is mine he said that it was coming next which was about ten minutes later totally unacceptable also he put my plate on the table like he was upset was telling customers to hurry up and order he is waiting on them letting people know how busy it is which should be a good thing but I guess not today Alex you really dropped the ball today me and my son both had a terrible experience we've been a good customer of yours for some time I agree with my son Chris we don't know if we will be back after all with all the other choices out there why would we Alex you really let two of your best customers down what a shame today visit two stars just because the food was good read more

Normally wouldn't have gone here but wanted to get to a place where I could eat fast. Initially upon looking at menu I thought I was going to have to eat meat but there were like 2 vegetarian options. But this place is worthy of your attention and your appetite. My husband and I may be the pickiest teriyaki eaters. We live in Kent and we're still driving to Redmond for our teriyaki fix. The woman at there counter is super friendly and seems to take a lot of pride in the restaurant. We both ordered the chicken breast teriyaki. I really thought it was perfect. I hate biting into chicken and feeling "layers" as my husband and I refer to it as. I also hate feeling like it may be under cooked. This chicken was nether of those! My husband really liked it too, but to him it was just a tad bit dry. Their sauce is perfect. Not to thick and not too thin. Providing the perfect amount of flavor. I gave it 4 stars taking one star off for my husband thinking his was a little dry. The portions could be bigger. Found this place thanks to fellow Yelpers! Been coming here every other day for the past two weeks since I've been too lazy to cook and experiencing life obligations. Although it may be a bit on the pricier side, the portion sizes are generous and the food is good! They are currently take-out only and I've found order wait times can range from 10 minutes to about 35 minutes or more... make sure to call-in ahead of time. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but I've found the bento box to be a decent value for the variety and being able to fill you up. The tempura has a good crunch (not soggy even after the drive home), chicken teriyaki is tender, juicy, and flavorful, but the sushi roll isn't the greatest... Their fish and chips are okay, worth trying if you like the crunchy outside, but the fish itself is not much to write home about; it does fill you up though. Food quality: 5 stars. I am super picky when it comes to the quality of chicken used for traditional chicken teriyaki and chicken breast teriyaki. I am turned off by the decreasing chicken quality found in most restaurants these days. I hate woody chicken breast ( Google this term if you have no idea what I am talking about). I will absolutely throw out an entire meal if I find my chicken is crunchy, yuck. But never fear- Covington Teriyaki does not [yet] have this! Plus, the way they season the chicken is divine. Very good for lunch. Spicy chicken & gyoza was very good (not amazing, not excellent, but very good). It ran a little dry for my taste, seems like more rice than I'd see at other places, but less sauce. I think the chicken quality is higher than the other 2 teriyaki joints in the area, so next time I'll probably just order some extra sauce and it'll be perfecto. Definitely will return! This is my favorite Teriyaki place in Covington. The sauce isn't really sweet like some places and it's cooked perfectly.

Came here for lunch with a buddy! Ordered the chicken teriyaki and gyoza combination dish. Chicken was tender and juicy and the gyozas were crisp! I was hoping for more than just two gyozas, but the meal as a whole was still pretty sizable. The dish also came with a side of white rice and a small salad with light dressing. They were a little light on the dressing, so be sure to ask for more if you're like me and you like your salads doused in dressing! Overall, food was great. Portion sizes were good. Prices were fair. I've been going to this place since the grand opening. It is always the best Teriyaki in Covington area. The last 3 visits had been not so good experience unfortunately. Dine in one time and I got a piece of hair on the food. I didn't complain and just show the woman who works there. She said sorry and didn't even offer a new one. The last two times are both to to. Been going here for 4-5 years..? Hands down the best Lunch Special within a 20 mile radius (great cuts of chicken, extra sauce on the side just in case you don't like it extra saucy! Genius.) Also.
