My husband and I may be the pickiest teriyaki eaters. We live in Kent and we're still driving to Redmond for our teriyaki fix. The woman at there counter is super friendly and seems to take a lot of pride in the restaurant. We both ordered the chicken breast teriyaki. I really thought it was perfect. I hate biting into chicken and feeling "layers" as my husband and I refer to it as. I also hate feeling like it may be under cooked. This chicken was nether of those! My husband really liked it too, but to him it was just a tad bit dry. Their sauce is perfect. Not to thick and not too thin. Providing the perfect amount of flavor. I gave it 4 stars taking one star off for my husband thinking his was a little dry. The portions could be bigger. We paid the extra $$ for more and it was still about the same as the regular portion for other places. read more

Great place with descent size potions. The staff were nice and friendly. Sometimes it's a Challenge to call in to make an order. Guess that's just a sign that it's a good place since the phone lines get busy. At the moment it's take out only, have not dined in. read more

After reading reviews I thought I'd stop by and give this place a try. For starters the place is really clean, the cashier was friendly and their menu is pretty typical of a teriyaki joint. I ordered their spicy chicken teriyaki. I waited about 15mins and the cashier came over with a chicken bowl, I told her i ordered a spicy teriyaki (not bowl). She went back into the kitchen and I waited another 15mins for my food to come out. In the meantime, they had a lot of walk-in to-go orders, at least 6 orders. My food finally came and I was pretty happy that the spicy chicken teriyaki actually had a different flavor than most other spicy ones I've tried. It also wasn't that spicy so I was able to add more sriracha and get it just to my liking. Portions are also pretty good. Ordered take out. Was told 30 minutes, so came a little after 30 to give a little extra time. Waited about 10 minutes for my order. Once home, looked at our food and totally wrong order. Received a $10-12 order and paid for a $24 order. Tried to call but no answer. Ordered the meat mountain and got the chicken teriyaki. Big difference in price and quantity. We discovered this awesome location of tastiness over a year ago and have been hooked since. When we want quick meals with a little more TLC we call these gals for take out and they prep our food super fast. We're not creative when eating here because we're addicted to their teriyaki chicken. The bento box provides a nice assortment of flavors. It comes with the teriyaki chicken, rice, gyoza, California rolls, salad, and tempura veggies. The veggies are crisp, not greasy, with a hint of sweetness. Some of the veggies include carrots, broccoli, and squash. They also throw in a tempura shrimp as if you didn't have a plethora of food already. Our kids enjoy the chicken rice bowls. The meat is lean, not fatty, which helps little ones who don't chew so well. The only other menu item we've tried are the short ribs which are delicious too. If we had to give one critique it would be the California rolls, they're not bad, just a bit bland. We've tried other locations in the Covington/Maple Valley area, and this is definitely by far the best place for teriyaki. read more

I'm not really sure how we ended up here at Covington Teriyaki, but our friends live just down the street from here and we decided that we wanted to take a shot at this place. The only place we ate in Covington and we came here. Well, damn, we did damn good! I ordered their chicken teriyaki plate and it was humongous! Not only that, but it was some of the best teriyaki chicken I've ever had. So tender, not too salty, just perfect! That's pretty bomb coming from a place in Covington WA! I went here after a massage at Elements. I'd asked the staff what they thought of the place. I got mixed reviews. It happened that my massage therapist had just had lunch there and raved about it. 90 minutes later, I was starving! They offer two sizes..regular and "mini". I asked what a "mini" was.
