We typically order from here on Door Dash. This is our actual first time in the restaurant. Very welcoming and nice environment. The staff is very friendly and quick to serve. Our server was really sweet, helpful, and attentive. We all decided on their fantastic lunch special: ANY RAMEN + HOSOMAKI-MONO. You choose any ramen from their menu plus your favorite hosomaki roll. I went with the Tonkotsu Chashu (pork broth), which was packed with seared pork belly, green onion, bamboo, a hard-boiled egg, bean sprouts, and bok choy, paired with an albacore hosomaki. Since there were three of us, we tried all three Tonkotsu dishes. Every single bowl was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The broth was rich, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. I was celebrating a birthday recently and had seen this place when I went to Frankie's pizza. It's right next-door and it looked like a pretty cool spot. After reading the reviews, I decided to come in on a Monday evening. Not very crowded that evening, we were able to get a nice both and take our time ordering. We enjoyed delicious miso soup before the meal. We ordered three rolls and a salad with crab meat. The salad was a very generous size and everything was delicious.The rolls featured fresh fish and were delicious. For dessert we enjoyed their Yuzu sherbet. The sushi here is GOOD! We found our new sushi spot in the area and cannot be happier. We did a to go order and got greeted immediately as I entered. Ambiance looks super cute in there, with a cherry blossom. We ordered the sushi deluxe, emerald wave roll, and a creamy scallop hand roll. This was for 2 people and it was more than enough. Fish tasted fresh, hand roll had a good amount of scallops and not overly stuffed with rice. I enjoyed the emerald roll very much! & the spicy tuna is a tiny bit more on the spicy side if you're sensitive to spice levels. Overall, would definitely come back! read more

Super cute restaurant. Located in a very busy strip mall parking was limited, but there are a few spots reserved for the restaurant right in front. We ordered take-away through their website. The interior is very nice if you plan to eat here. Their safety rating with King County at the time of this review is Excellent. I did not have a chance to eat any of the food we purchased. Others got to it and didn't share. (No worries, we had two large pizzas too) There was one comment about the gyoza usually being boiled or pan fried while here they are deep fried. Upon entering (while watching a host hastily remove what is DEFINITELY NOT a voodoo doll of Sumo Sushi's mascot), you'll be greeted with "Welcome to Nori Sushi - and no, we didn't INTENTIONALLY price our dragon roll 50 cents cheaper than Sumo's." Their name tags include the suspicious disclaimer "Not Plotting Against Anyone, Especially Not Sumo Sushi™." Not many people know that this sushi place is under new ownership here in Maple Valley. I decided to try it out and I was impressed! Their sushi was very fresh and delicious! Their rolls have the perfect amount of rice, not too much. I really enjoyed the tiger eye appetizer. It was crunchy and full of flavor. I recommend the mountain roll. My friend enjoyed the rainbow roll and shrimp tempura roll. They also served us complimentary miso soup! The service is very attentive and the place was super clean. I will definitely be back! Want some sushi to redeem our last very disappointing experience from another Japanese restaurant. Normally I would go to Sumo but heard about this place. Walking in this place, the decoration is looking high end. Many selection on the menu, price is not bad. I decided to order their Chirashi. I was really happy with the quality of the sashimi. The plate was setup pretty. Thick sliced, good quality. We also ordered the bento box with fried salmon, nice thick cut of salmons deep fried and chicken katsu. Katsu is a little dried but still very crispy. Plenty of food. It also comes with a few pieces of tempuras. The service was great. The waitress checked on us several times and refilled tea for us. I know Sumo is popular in this area, but I like the atmosphere in this restaurant. It is not as noisy. I would definitely come back again. read more
