Great place to get a quick casual sushi meal. Their eel here is pretty good, good portion sizes and great flavors for the price. I highly recommend and would come back.

Sushi is fresh and displayed very nicely when I ordered small daruma platter of assorted sushi. I got takeout but the seating is really small but I like the convenience that it is in 99 ranch market. Staff was very hospitable and gave me chocolates and cookie with my takeout

Just tried it tonight. It's inside the Wall mall, and it's a very tight squeeze. We never got napkins and another table had to ask for them as well. Water was lukewarm and we ran out for a bit before we got refills. However! The staff was very nice, and the sushi was very tasty. We weren't able to try other fish due to them running out after an event. Prices were fair for the quality and size.

Salmon Taco (closest in the picture) Tempura Taco (further away in the picture) Both extremely delicious and definitely recommend trying.

My husband and I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was quiet, peaceful and not crowded at all. We ordered a total of 6 things, and each one was very delicious. There were two servers, both extremely kind and sweet, and the food came out in a timely manner. However, one negative thing is that upon paying, they charged us a 10% service fee. I've expected that before from a party of 5+ at a restaurant but it was just the two of us. Neither one of the servers mentioned in advance there would be a service fee so I was a little disappointed to see that added on. Especially because we hadn't asked for anything special, unique, etc. it was just normal service.

Tonight's rolls. Second time here so it's time to start hunting down our favorites! Marigold: Not my cup of tea. Ithad cream cheese instead of cucumber that was stated on the menu. If you like smoked salmon and cream cheese this roll will be great for you. Red Spider: Delicious. And the Wasabi peas were a great add for texture. Top 3 Red Mango: Perfect. Bloody Orange: Surprisingly spicy but so clean and fresh tasting. Fantastic! Super Dragon Exactly as described. Thick delicious grilled Eel. Simple. The Great Wall: Creamy and spicy and sweet all at once. Top 3. The Daruma: I love this. You might not. Easily in my top 3 of all time. Mount Baker: Creamy and stacked high with real crab. Midori: Crisp and clean. Basic but perfect Awesome Poke: Perfect Tataki Both were a tad bit overseared but the flavor was good. Service: It's one tiny lady behind the counter. We ordered like 12 items. She did her absolute best. Thankfully we were the only group here when we ordered so she really got to focus on our food! 4 Stars

Fresh sushi in Kent, WA! I ordered from Renton, and the sushi arrived FRESH! The seafood was succulent, the vegetables crisp, and even the rice had the perfect texture. The customer service was excellent--the staff was friendly and professional. Their restaurant is also clean and well-maintained. They also have a variety of Daruma dolls displayed on the walls, adding to the ambiance. The entire store is styled with attention to detail, creating a clean and cozy atmosphere where you can dine alone or with your loved ones.

The service was really nice and the waitress was kind. The prices are good. This is what gets them the 2 stars. We ordered a variety of rolls - rainbow roll, Seattle roll, teka maki, and deluxe California roll. They all tasted very bland and the same. The fish didn't taste fresh and was sort of mushy and bland. We were pretty disappointed since they have such raving reviews. Probably will not return here.

Plenty of parking within the Great Wall Mall lot, solid food for the price, and solid service. The space is a bit small with the table arrangements seating a maximum of 4 people in a group (anything bigger, and the horizontal space is not enough to line the tables), but my party of 2 was the only one present at 6PM on a Monday. There was one staff member managing everything from delivery orders, dining in, to cashier. This worked out at the time we were there, but I hope that in busier times this business has more than one person present.

Thanks to the Yelp community for the suggestion. Was looking forward to another sushi experience. This one did not disappoint. It t is a tiny restaurant tucked back in the Great Wall shopping mall. I think there are like 6 tables so it is right as if you were Tokyo. They have another location inside Boeing up in Everett according to the employee. The menu was fast for such a little place, but the sushi was spot on. We were the only patrons at the the moment so we placed an order for 4 rolls and I think the biggest cost was the dragon roll and at I think that $15, and if you look at the picture that is a solid piece of Unagi that runs the full length. A ton of eel! All the rolls were so tasty, cold and especially fresh. Although they don't have too many appetizers or non sushi items we ventured across the aisle to grab some Shumai, gyoza and other small plates. Even walked down and grabbed some fresh juice from another stall. Look forward to making it back to try some other rolls. I think you will be pleased and if you need some shopping, Ranch 99 is 20 steps away.

    Tuna tataki, so good!

We sat at the bar table but it was blocked by a counter so we couldn't see anything and he didn't talk and we had to wait around 15 minutes for our first dish. Foodwise: 10 piece nigiri --- love the different fishes that was available and all of them has their own distinct texture and flavor. My husband who loves nigiri said it was a fun experience. Scallop inari - scallop was cream and soft and smooth, I think the sweetness was a little overpowering though. Seabass crudo --- for how little there was of the fish itself, there was a lot of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. After finishing the fish, I was hoping to have some bread to eat more of the oil. Special maguro don--- I love this dish - the fish melts in your mouth, the rice went well with the fish and the wasabi was delicious. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of fish. Overall, it was a good experience, I definitely would recommend

For the sushi, the tropical roll had a nice addition of mango, but the sweet chili sauce was a little too sweet for my preference, especially for a sushi roll. The Pacific Garden roll had fresh-tasting yellowtail, salmon, and tuna, and I enjoyed the crunch from the asparagus. However, one of my pet peeves is when menus list crab or crab salad in a roll, but it ends up being imitation crab/krab. I really wish restaurants were more straightforward about what they're using, especially because I enjoy real crab, but am not a big fan of imitation crab in sushi rolls. This restaurant used the words crab salad and I thought it meant that they still used real crab in it. The rainbow roll and edamame were just alright. The gyoza was also disappointing because it wasn't crispy and didn't have much flavor. Presentation was another thing that fell a little short for me. I wasn't impressed with the plating, especially with the random pieces of greens on the plate. Overall, the sushi and sashimi had some fresh components(the highlight), but there were a few things that missed the mark for me. Service was just okay and nothing particularly stood out.

We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. We ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, Spicy Negi Ramen (level 4 hot), an order of Gyoza, and an appetizer order of Karaage Chicken. Both of our Ramen bowls were absolutely delicious!! I think the egg could've been cooked a little bit less so it would be not so well done so to speak, but it was delicious still. Also, the chicken appetizer was a good, but not as flavorful as some Karaage Chicken I have had. The ramen tasted great but not impressive or memorable enough for me to drive all the way back to Federal Way. I dined in solo and actually didn't finish the ramen or even remember exactly what I ordered. I'm guessing it's the spicy negi. The broth was spicy and enjoyable but definitely didn't taste any different compared to other ramen places I've been to. I tend to eat slow to savor my food, but I felt like the staff was overattentive and frequently stopped by my table to ask if everything was okay. Gave me the vibe that they needed to keep themselves busy or I was taking up a table. Might be great for other customers but it affected my experience with dining in; I usually finish my meals at restaurants but I felt rushed so I just ended up bringing the ramen home for my son, after the second or third time of them asking me if I wanted a takeout box. I'm still giving 4 stars just because the ramen tasted better than mediocre, less than spectacular. I just have high expectations for ramen and prefer more broth/topping variety (I was raised in Cali with options i dearly miss). Plus, I do like that they added a full egg for the ramen (instead of half an egg, like other restaurants I've been to) and the chasu portions were fair. I haven't tried any other ramen places in Federal Way (if there are any), but I guess if this is one of the better options (according to Yelp), it might be worth a shot to try out?

That's why this next part is insane to say... but these guys managed to blow past my expectations and made me call this my favorite food spot in all of Kent. Friday the 13th we got hit with a sudden snow drop after a recent strong storm just a few days prior. Power in the area was already pretty touch and go, and my wife and I had come in late from work and decided to eat out. I'd say we placed the order around 40 minutes before their usual closing time, so I knew I was pushing it. Shortly after placing the order, I get a call from the restaurant. I fully expected them to tell me they were closing early and were going to cancel my order. To my surprise, they actually were willing to make the order but just asked that I get there before 8:30 p.m. Easy, it was 8:13, and I lived 7 minutes away. Get there with plenty of time. When I arrive, I tip the staff and graciously thank them for taking my last-minute order. After waiting for a bit, Steve, the owner, tells me that they messed up on one of the items on my order and would need to remake it, but they would provide me with the mistake at no cost. Next, he let me know that he provided me with free wontons, just because. The food, as always, was amazing, even the "mistake" meal, which allowed me to explore the menu a bit more. Just wanted to get on here and provide a big shoutout to Steve and the team. Always a great experience. Also, my kids, thank you for the drinks!

However, we saw that this place opens on Sundays (they had several banners saying that they were open on Sundays too) after the original place we wanted to check out had a sudden kitchen maintenance. This restaurant is a lot bigger than other teriyaki restaurants with booth and chair seats, plenty of big or small tables, two TVs playing different sports, and it was the temperature was perfect. They have a big menu so it's easy to see the prices and their offerings, which consists of teriyaki, soups, Chinese food, sushi and bubble tea. Their prices are very reasonable and the upcharge on fried rice is the lowest I've seen but I think there's a reason for that (it's pretty bland). The cashier lady was efficient at her job but definitely could be friendlier and I wish she wasn't super snappy, there was no real rush and we were maybe their fourth order during that time. We opted to dine in and took our seat waiting for food. They have offer fountain drinks and bottled drinks, as well as water cups. We got our utensils and sauce cups first then our food arrived not too long afterwards. My boyfriend got their chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo with fried rice while I got their chicken teriyaki and California roll combo. I love that they have steamed veggies as I like to enjoy any remaining teriyaki sauce with them. The California rolls were decent, not the best but not the worst either. The teriyaki sauce is pretty good, it is a great mix of sweet and savory. They are also very generous with rice as there was a bed of under my teriyaki and two scoops. My boyfriend enjoyed the katsu and the sauce that came with it was very delicious! The only issue we had was that the fried rice had no seasoning or color, I almost thought it was white rice with some veggies at first. Other than that, a solid teriyaki joint that seemed to have a good amount of people coming in to pick up orders for the most part.
