Our server explained how the ordering worked, and they had little robots bringing the food over. They had a great variety of sushi options including handrolls, specialty rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and more. The fish wasn't fishy for the sashimi or other items which is always a big relief. We ended up getting the gold option which included the sashimi and nigiri options. So if you're into raw fish, we highly recommend getting that dining option. They also had a mini salad and fruit bar, but because we came closer to closing they weren't as stocked up as I assume they would be during peak hours. Overall if you're hungry and looking for a good deal, highly recommend checking this place out. I believe they do reservations for future dates but not same day reservations. When we went in there was no wait time so it was good timing. They're also located in a shopping outlet area so there's plenty of parking.

They all know it's strictly sushi, sashimi, nigiri, etc... You don't get ramen, teriyaki meat dishes, katsu like other establishments. Should be called Sean's Strictly Sushi hahaha. I've also invited my gal friends who love sushi when I can get a two seater. Hubby doesn't mind not having some just so my friends could experience chef Sean's sushi. Everyone we've invited to dine with us were so impressed, including a sushi chef from Palm Springs. Her father owned a popular place for our 50 years, but has since retired. She was very impressed by the quality, and craftsmanship, the love Chef Sean pours into his creations. All my friends know how difficult it is to get reservations, so they rely on me to make them. Chef Sean keeps his little place clean, with relaxing music playing at all times. Usually Japanese music. But last night he had jazz playing and we loved it. We've been visiting Sean, and my check ins say we've been here over 50 times wow!!! However, expect slow or inconsistent service and just an okay environment. //CONTEXT// Came here on a Friday evening as a party of two. Found a seat immediately //ENVIRONMENT// Honestly the environment felt a bit sad. There was no music, it was super quiet and just not a typical restaurant environment. Even when I ordered I went up and had to write down my order on their receipt lol. //SERVICE// The service was really slow. I understand that rolls take a while to make and they have a lot of takeout orders but I would hope they'd improve based on what they're seeing. Here are some examples: - When we got there, there was another couple who already ordered and was waiting for their food. Three other parties came in and we all got their food before them. This couple never got their food, had to check and then waited more and then just left. We were there for 45 mins before we got there so they were waiting even longer. - Another party got their food before we did and we ordered before them. Also it was interesting in that this person got their order placed with the owner but we had to write our order down - As mentioned it took us about 45 minutes for 3 rolls. I thought this was kind of long. //FOOD// Food was amazing! If you can get past the wait the rolls are so good! They're fresh, tasty and not too large or too small! I got the Akron, Newport, and the Juneau! These were all so good! The tempura and fried soft shell crab was perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The fish tasted so fresh! The Newport did lack a bit of ponzu. Aside from that these were great rolls Overall, the rolls were good but the service and wait does make me hesitant to come back.
