R4 Spicy Miso

Spicy miso ramen broth was good. Medium spice was just the perfect about of heat. They had an ok amount of pork...prob could've been more generous. My only issue is that it's overpriced for the small bowl of ramen. Also had the karage appetizer...for $10 I got 6 chicken nugget sized pieces with no dipping sauce. They need to remove the lettuce and put a dipping sauce. Not worth the price. Had an asahi beer that tasted bad. Service wasn't that great and the waitress hovered over me like a hawk observing the tip selection. Will not go back...

I popped into Arashi Ramen while running other errands in the plaza. It's a busy plaza area/shopping strip, so parking can be limited. They offer a few different noodle types, I wasn't expecting this and my ramen noodles were the thinner type. Still very delicious, just unexpected (because I also didn't read the menu that well). The broth was savory and not over salty. Good ramen and perfect for the chilly, rainy weather!

Cute little ramen bistro! The staff were really sweet and helpful with our questions and with the kids. Big portions! (Well at least for us). We loved it!

I had to come back to Arashi Ramen after I went into a hiatus from ramen. I was doing Uber Eats deliveries around Tukwila, so I thought I'd stop by this restaurant again to get some much needed protein and craving. I ordered the popular appetizers Takoyaki & Honey Kaarage (instead of the plain flavor) and R-5 Arashi Ramen. I was here on a Tuesday, so the restaurant was empty (perfect setting for me). The service was certainly fast and efficient. After my lunch, I was happy and full.

Food: Black Garlic Ramen(thin noodles)- Broth not too thick. Could have had a little more garlic flavor (requested spice on the side) still tasty and filling. Chicken Karaage: tender with a light crunch! Only thing missing was a dipping sauce. Service: efficient and friendly. Atmosphere: they definitely fit as many tables in the space that they have (somewhat packed but manageable)

The decoration and seating in this restaurant is well thought out, comfortable seating. We got the chicken Karaage and the portions were really small for the price which was almost $10. I was hoping the taste would redeem it but it tasted like something I could make at home. The skin was very soft surprisingly in a unpleasant way. No crispy or satisfying skin, very disappointed. The inside was dry, tough, and not very juicy. It tasted like a meatball instead of a delicious Karaage. The ramen portions were even smaller for a nearly $20 bowl . Although the broth was alright 7/10, the spicy flavor didn't mask the broth taste I could taste heavy msg seasoning. I'll will give kudos for the egg being soaked in with the broth while being perfectly cooked and the meat was cooked nicely as it pulled apart in my mouth l. The garnish was well chosen and the noodles were very bouncy. Overall an average place with small portions. The broth tasted average.

Its been years since I last reviewed this place and coming back after a while, this place still is one of my favorites. My friends and I were craving ramen and I suggested Arashi Ramen. Their taste still remains great with a good portion of condiments provided in the dish. The black garlic is bold throughout the dish. I will say parking has been less hectic here as it used to. They kicked us out after being there for just an hour an a half as they had people coming. The 30 extra minutes we talked but due to how small the place is, understandable for them to kick us out. Overall, I recommend this place.

This restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff were very welcoming and helped us determine what ramen we would like best. The ramen that I ate reminded me of the places I dined in Japan! I highly recommend the miso ramen; it was absolutely delicious and I couldn't eat enough! I will definitely be returning and am excited to try other types of ramen.

Arashi is my favorite ramen place in Seattle! Usually I get the Shio ramen and stick to that. The black garlic ramen is a little too heavy for my taste but I still enjoy it! Service is always fast and I appreciate the quick turnaround. The ambiance is quiet and cozy with Japanese music playing in the background. My partner and I will drive 30 mins to come eat

This is my absolute favorite. I have tried the one in Ballard and also now the one in tukwilla. The place had plenty of seating when we went on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm. We were seated pretty quickly and we ordered the spicy miso ramen and also pork gyoza. The ramen was as usual amazing and very tasty. The service was also pretty good, everything was amazing. The place has plenty of parking around as well!

Sometimes great, sometimes good food. Never disappointed. Always very polite service. Ramen arrived before the appetizer. Nice place for a quick drop in meal. Small quaint place, nothing amazing but good.

Hands down the best ramen in the area! Service is very fast -- food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering. Like other reviewers mentioned, there is a waitlist where you'll need to write your name down. Thankfully, it isn't too busy during weeknight dinners, so I've never had to wait. The ramen is amazing here! For a light broth, I'd recommend the shoyu ramen. If you're interested in something a bit more oily and flavorful, the black garlic oil ramen is very tasty. They also offer other non-ramen options. I've only tried the curry which was large and simple.

A3. Gyoza is so good!

The food is incredible... but the service lacks in many ways. There's a waitlist which is a chaotic mess because some names are crossed off and others aren't leaving you to wonder who's monitoring the list. Nobody greets you when you walk in and once you put your name on the list you have no idea how long it could be. Fortunately, we've been here before and my wife was a server for a long stint so she knows the drill. On a busy Saturday, in a very small restaurant (approx. 10 tables) we waited for about 25 min during lunchtime. We both ordered spicy ramen which was very good and we enjoyed our meal before heading out. This is not the restaurant where you should sit at chat for 45 min because there is a long constant waitlist and limited seating. Again the food is great, but I'm glad I only come here annually.

Ask the Community - Arashi Ramen

Do you offer Vegan options? The online menu does not specify as anything vegan or vegetarian.

We do have vegetarian Karaage (fried chicken) and Creamy Veggie Ramen on our regular menu in store. In addition, you can also change our Honey Garlic Karaage Bowl (rice bowl) and Cold Sweet Soy Ramen into vegetarian dishes.

Do you have any options for noodles without wheat/gluten?

You can request to have the noodles substituted with rice.

Are there any ramen options at Arashi that would be safe for someone with a mild seafood allergy?

For our ramen, the following do not contain any seafood: Shoyu, Miso, Spicy Miso, TanTan, Spicy TanTan, Creamy Vege, and Sweet Cold Ramen.

How are the portion sizes here? Like if I'm really hungry will the black garlic ramen fill me up or no? Lol

Our portions size are decent. If not enough, you can always order extra noodles =)

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

I love heat and still feel it, so be ready. Also, service can feel a bit hands-off, especially when it's busy you might need to flag someone down for water. (We don't have Boiling Point in Hawaii.) My niece knew that each customer gets their own Hot Pot that's filled with the broth of their choice. Customers also choose their own set of ingredients. I went with the House Special Soup and the Veggie Mushroom set. It was perfect because I watched my niece peel the shrimp of the Seafood set and thought that it was too much work... LOL! I just enjoyed my noodles (two kinds because the vermicelli replaced the rice), mushrooms, and veggies... and finished all of the yummy broth! Overall, it was a fun, tasty experience! We appreciated the free shared parking and convenient restroom! If you decide to visit this busy, modern location, remember to sign in and wait a bit for a table to open up!

I asked for a spice ball for the soup on the side. The soup was rich and creamy as the name suggested. The pork chashu was average at best. It lacked flavor and color. The noodles were thick and al dente and absorbed the broth very well. I would not recommend mixing the tempura flakes into the broth as it makes them soggy and they no longer have the crunchy texture to contrast the noodles. For tempura I got a steamed egg tempura, shrimp tempura, and potato tempura. The egg tempura definitely reined supreme. Would heavily recommend a tempura sauce which they happened to run out with today. The vegetable tempuras were all bland. Would not recommend. If you do get the tempuras, eat them before the main dish so the richness of the main dish doesn't ruin the delicate flavor of the tempura. Atmosphere: 9/10 Tables were cleaned and bussed regularly. There were plenty of tables where we didn't really have to wait after getting our food. The tables were kinda close to each other and the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night at 7 pm. Service: 9/10 Self service similar to chipotle where you order at the counter and they make it in front of you and all the individual components of each dish are premade. Unlike chipotle, once they give you the main dish in a tray, there is a self serve Tempura bar where you pay by piece.

Wow--what an incredible find…read more We had a friend visiting from out of town (all the way from Wenatchee by way of Texas), and decided it was worth the trek across South Seattle to Birrieria Grumpy's on Interurban Avenue in Tukwila after hearing about it from a food blogger on TikTok. It absolutely lived up to the hype. We know our birria, so expectations were high. We ordered a variety of dishes--enchiladas, a keto taco, a birria torta, bacon wrapped jalapeños, and a crunch wrap--and every single item delivered. I started with the keto taco, expecting a standard (and often disappointing) gluten-free tortilla. Instead, it was made entirely of cheese--and it was one of the most delicious things I've had in a long time. Completely unexpected and amazing. I'm especially picky about tortas, and I can honestly say this was the best Mexican torta I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, flavorful, and satisfying. Beyond the food, the experience was just as great. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and we even had the chance to meet the owner, who shared the story behind "Grumpy Gramps"--a fun and memorable touch. This place is absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommend--and we'll definitely be back.
