RED TSUKEMEN was amazing!
Ai P.

We enjoyed the ramen, tsukemen and the kids bento box! Happy to have a delicious ramen near by home!

I enjoy ramen all year-round, but especially now that it's approaching winter! Three of us came around 12:45P on a Saturday and all tables were already occupied, including the seats at the counter. I wasn't too surprised, since the location is pretty small and we came during peak lunch time, so we opted for takeout. When entering, all customers are to use the single kiosk at the front for ordering, where you specify whether you want to dine in or do takeout. For anyone hoping to dine in, it's important to check first if there's available seating since it's first come, first served and everyone chooses their own table. Some customers were confused whether they were supposed to order before finding a table, or vice versa, so the restaurant should post a sign that indicates you need to order before grabbing a seat. From the looks of it, there appeared to be only one main chef in the kitchen, so it took about 15 minutes before our food was ready, which wasn't bad. There is just not much room to wait inside since the restaurant space is relatively small and tight. One employee brought us our order and the broth remained quite warm during the 20-minute drive home. The noodles and toppings came packed separately from the containers of soup and they also included some spicy fried garlic with each bowl for extra oomph. HYBRID RAMEN ($17): A combination of their black garlic and spicy tonkotsu-based broths came together in this single bowl! The broth was rich and creamy, had the perfect amount of spice for me and it wasn't overly salty. I wouldn't say the garlic flavor was very powerful, but it definitely had a wonderful umami punch. Standard toppings include cloud ear mushrooms, bean sprouts, spinach, green onion and one piece of pork belly. They gave us a good amount of vegetables, but the piece of pork was pretty thin and it didn't come with even half an egg, so I didn't think it was totally worth the price. However, the pork was delicious, being slightly sweet and super tender, and the noodles still had a nice bite to them, so I enjoyed my bowl of ramen overall. One person in my group got the SPICY CURRY RAMEN ($17.50) which had a bold flavor of warm curry spice in addition to noticeable heat. Service-wise, one employee was greeting, serving orders and bussing tables, keeping up with the consistent stream of customers during the lunch hour. Even though the value could be better, I would come back again to try their miso ramen and one of their appetizers. Note: They also offer bentos, rice bowls and vegan ramen options.

11.22.2025 My friend recommended this place, so we decided to try it. The tonkotsu broth is rich and creamy, the noodles have great bite, and the toppings from tender chashu to marinated egg are thoughtfully balanced. Their tsukemen (dipping noodles) is a standout, and spice lovers will appreciate the kick in their curry ramen, but I decided to select their signature ramen. Service is friendly, and the vibe is casual perfect for a comforting meal on a rainy day. A must-visit for noodle enthusiasts in the area. We were lucky to get seated right away by arriving just after they opened on Saturday. By the time we left, a line had already formed, so if you want to avoid the wait, I'd recommend coming early! P.S. their takoyaki selections are great!

They have a combo deal where you get a bowl of ramen, a side dish, and a drink. The side dish was probably the largest portion I've ever seen, especially if you order their karaage or orange chicken. My partner and I were super full by the time we finished. Overall, it's not the best ramen but not bad. The tonkotsu was rich and creamy and the noodles were not overcooked. The chashu was a bit too fatty for me but it came with a good amount of bean sprouts and green onions to balance it out. If you're hungry, I would definitely recommend the combo deal.

One of my favorite ramen shops in Seattle opening a location in Issaquah!? The Capitol Hill one is the most convenient for me, but since we drove through Issaquah on the way back from hiking, we decided to hit it up. This was at about 1:30 in the afternoon on Sunday and the place was packed full. Luckily a spot opened up just as we were figuring out how to order. Unlike the other locations, ordering is done at the single kiosk near the entrance that also acts as a waitlist. The waitress monitors the seating situation, directs customers to seats, then asks for their order number to get the kitchen started on the food. Everything else is self service. When we visited, there was an influencer sitting in the corner with a special A5 Wagyu ramen. We actually spoke with the owner before leaving and he said it's only officially launched in the Capitol Hill location, but they might be bringing it to Issaquah as well. The ads say limit 5 per day, but he actually told us that's only a marketing gimmick and they have more than 5 servings :) Green Ramen ($17) - We couldn't resist getting this one. Green ramen? Never seen that before! This one is really interesting. It's almost like eating a pesto cream sauce, but instead of a dairy based cream, it's tonkotsu broth giving a rich and silky mouthfeel. The taste is very basil pesto forward, with quite a bit of bitterness from the pesto that enhances the natural acridity from the charred pork bones emulsified in the broth. It's thick, it's rich, it's decadent, but it's also a bit too bitter for me. I think the pesto also clashes a bit with the sodium content - while I'm pretty sure there's a similar amount of salt between this dish and the other dishes, it somehow tastes less salty. The noodles and toppings are otherwise similar in quality to their other dishes. Firstly a thinner alkaline ramen, firm and springy, that easily works like a mop to suck up the rich broth. On top, bean sprouts and kikurage for some crunch, spinach and green onion that enhance the basil vegetal and bitter elements, and finally one slice of chashu. The meat is sweet and savory, with a good amount of gelatinous fat, charred on one side more than the other. The Green Ramen overall is nice to try but is something I probably wouldn't order again. (4/5) Curry Tsukemen, Hot Noodle ($17.75) - Last time at Capitol Hill, I ordered the spicy curry ramen and found it to be lacking in curry taste (although otherwise exceptional). I wondered if perhaps the addition of the spicy elements covered up that taste. I ordered the curry tsukemen on this visit to find out. After trying it, I can't say that this has a much stronger curry flavor. It's definitely there in the background, behind the more deeper and savory, concentrated tonkotsu notes. I especially love the chunks of chashu, sweet and full of umami, and the crunchy bamboo shoots mixed into the broth. And at the end of the meal, the waitress will add some more dilute broth to make it a bit easier to drink. On the plate, there's a pile of thicker wavy tsukemen noodle, studded with darker specks of some other grain variety, and smelling of soapy alkalinity. I don't believe the noodles are oiled that much, so they start clumping a bit but never get to the point of completely sticking together. There's also a single slice of chashu, same as with the Green Ramen. (5/5) I'm glad to see the consistency in flavors and textures that Menya Musashi brings to the area. If only I had known that the Grand Opening was just the previous day, I would have gone one day earlier! One difference I did notice is that the Capitol Hill location provides a slice of pork belly whereas Issaquah gives rolled chashu. They're both marinated and charred the same way, so there's not too much difference though! Bathrooms - Single unisex room

First time trying this spot. Its been raining and cold so the craving for ramen is crazy. This is a really cool spot with a cool decors playing japanese musics; very cozy. We ordered first via kiosk prior grabing a table (we assumed kiosk is for when its not busy; as we do see menus and theres servers present) Lots of options in the menu; you will spend time in the kiosk if you dont have an idea of what you want. What we got: * Black Ramen (4/5) Really good flavor and very garlicy due to the black garlic. * Red Ramen (4/5) Rich broth with good flavor; not too spicy. * Original Takoyaki (4/5) Its good takoyaki; big chunk of octopus inside. * Fire ball (5/5) This is the extra chili paste to add to the ramen; we loved it. The Ramen start at $17 and you can add whatever topping you like; the price will add up quickly if you dont pay attention. While the bowl looks small; dont let it deceived you as its actually a really good portion!. Plenty of noodles. All the topping we chose were tasty, the pork belly was very tender and flavourfull. Overall; this is a nice spot that serves ramen/tsukemen with plenty of option of sides/beverages/snacks. We will go back again for sure and try their other offering.

So pleasantly surprised to see an Issaquah location open up! Fast-casual feel, you order through a kiosk and find a seat. Service is rather prompt. I ordered the hybrid tsukemen (cold) and added an egg, it came perfectly jammy. Portions were generous as usual but the ramen was extra yum this time... Perfectly chewy, slurpy, savory. I'm beyond pleased and I'll be back (frequently)!

We ordered curry pork and shrimp katsu with takoyaki. We paid $70 for two and the appetizer. all three plates were cold.. including the rice. The curry was colder than lukewarm. Extremely disappointed for how many stars this restaurant has.

Heard great things so was happy to be able to check this spot out midweek during their soft opening. You order at the computer, take your seat and shortly after your noodles and soup arrives. We tried the original tsukumen w hot noodles and the hybrid tsukumen w cold noodles and really enjoyed both. The broths had great flavor, noodles were cooked to perfect al dente, and dipped together it was really nice and very filling. Out of the 2 I liked the hybrid broth better but I am already looking forward to trying more items here. Happy it is so close to home!

I was on the plateau. It's been a while and I was craving Yoko teriyaki didn't realize that they closed down and this restaurant took over the building. I'm always willing to give a new restaurant a chance! It was very crowded, which is always a good sign, but you do walk in and you order on a screen, which would've been nice to see some photos. I knew what kind of Ramen I wanted, but making the combo I didn't know necessarily all the additional sides that come with the combo so I stuck with the pork gyoza. As soon as you figure out what you want, you have the option to dine in or take out as soon as you pay you can sit down if there's an open table. Then you wait for your food because your receipt has a number on it. This might be controversial to some people, but they offer paper cups. I personally don't mind that cause you know it's going to be clean and you don't have to worry about chips and glass cups. I ordered the spicy miso Ramen. I thought it was very rich in flavor and delicious. You are given the traditional toppings and offered more I believe $1-$2 for every additional topping the pork that came with the Ramen was a nice thick cut. Noodles were firm, but not too firm the way I like it. I hate when you try to pick up the noodles at some Ramen places and they just kind of mush and fall apart. Pros : quality of food tasted great to me. I enjoyed the bowl of Ramen especially on a nice rainy day like today clean tables and clean restaurant is always a plus. Cons : this was my first time at this establishment. I didn't know what to do would've been nice to be greeted and explained the steps, but I do not blame the employee that was hustling around, trying to get tables cleaned, and helping everybody that was already seated personally I have enough patience to try to figure it out. Price for the bowl of Ramen and make it a combo. The total came to $32. I thought that was a little high, but everything is high nowadays. Overall, good experience I will return probably will not be a "go to spot" just because of how expensive, it will be more of a treat once in a while.

SPICY MISO RAMEN with CHICKEN KARAAGE

Great place for Ramen, especially on a rainy day. Small restaurant, so can get pretty busy during peak hours on the weekend.

came for their grand opening. you will order at a tablet and then go sit down. got the original ramen and loved that their was a thick piece of pork belly that came with it. noodles were perfectly good, broth was ok, and it was a great portion. the ebi bao was my fav, and the takoyaki all tasted the same even though we ordered different flavors.

I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. Each bowl was ~$15 and a smaller bowl, so would definitely advise getting an extra batch of noodles. The chashu is melt in your mouth tender. The broth wasn't very salty or over complicated itself with a burst of spices, but highlighted the simplicity of a good ramen, tasting the long simmer of the pork. My dad was honestly pretty pissed circling around the area for an hour for parking, but said it was all worth it, even waiting in a long line.

Came here because I had a gift card lying around and was desperately craving ramen. The last time I…read morewent to Kizuki was when I was in high school freshman year so it's been a hot minute. I don't remember what I ate at the time but I do remember Kizuki having pretty salty ramen, and that still holds up today. I know there is an option to order low sodium and/or order a clear broth to dilute it, but I completely forgot. I got the garlic tonkotsu ramen and it was super good! I can see why it's super popular. I will say I wasn't a fan of the jasmine milk tea, it was way too sweet while simultaneously too milky- otherwise everything was fine. The waiters were polite and lenient with my preferences and gave excellent service, no complaints there. I came in on a Tuesday or Wednesday at 2:00 ish by myself, so it wasn't crowded. I can't say for weekends but judging by other reviews the waitlist can take a while (not sure if it's different if you come on a weekend but by yourself). There were some people there hanging out over ramen and some people working on their laptops, so it was the perfect environment to get work done (not sure if wifi is free though) and/or chat with friends without having to raise your voice. Overall I rate four stars; good food, good service, and an okay drink. I packed up the broth for home and mixed the leftover with instant ramen, it was delicious!

Everything was fantastic except my friend left a special present that she received from me behind accidentally. Update: we called staff and with great thoroughness they even checked and confirmed that we had actually left with the gift box, and with that we were able to confirm that we would have left it at the next venue we went to for dessert. With relief we found it and grateful to Alan for reaching out and letting us know so we could continue our search more fruitfully. Such an excellent experience with the staff at this store.
