Just had one of the most satiating and satisfying bowl of pork belly tonkatsu ramen. The cool weather was perfect and the pairing of complimentary kimchi made this experience so wonderful. Typically I don't give 5 stars easily but the service and friendliness of the staff was overall a 5 star experience. Shane was the person at the reception and the wait staff. Really friendly and courteous saying hi to guests, as well as the little ones. Back to the food- the pork belly had the right thickness and was slightly roasted providing extra flavor vs some other ramen pork belly I had that is very bland or just flat. The broth was very delicious, not too salty like other tonkatsu broth I have had. The cooked and marinated bamboo shoots were very flavorful as well. My favorite is the kimchi which I paired it with every bite of the noodles and pork slices. Soooo good. You could ask for Alexa kimchi too. I also appreciate the warm barley tea. I love supporting moms and pops business as such- high quality and overall a very pleasant experience. I look forward to be back to try something else. And that's a lot coming from me because I usually like my food on the saltier side. It may have been better if I ordered rice to balance the taste, but I didn't, so it was miserable. The second bowl we tried was with pork slightly better, but still had a cheap, artificial aftertaste. I strongly do not recommend this place. Got a couple of ramens to-go a few days ago. My wife got the Veggie Miso Ramen with soft tofu and I got the Spicy Tonkotsu with Pork Belly. The miso ramen was warm and comforting, and next time we'd probably ask for a little bit of spicy to go with it just to make it more interesting. The spicy tonkotsu was outstanding. The broth was deep and rich and flavorful. The noodles were perfectly chewy and held on to the broth nicely. The pork unfortunately could have been better. There was some sinew in my large slices making it hard to chew. I'd love for cuts where the sinew has been cooked down, or for them to slice it into more manageable bites so that this isn't an issue. My one other feedback to the restaurant would be to make slightly more manageable portion sizes for the ramen. They are massive and honestly hard to finish in one go. I have a huge appetite and I barely got through mine. My wife had to put half of hers in the fridge for the next day by which time unfortunately the quality reheated isn't the same. If they could have a small and a large, that would be simply fantastic. The food was really good overall other than the slight issue with the pork. The lady running the shop was extremely warm and friendly and offers us samples of ker house made kimchi as well as gochujang to try, both of which were excellent. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes here. read more

This place sort of fell off my radar - our first visit was terrific but somehow we got distracted by other places. Returned tonight and fell back in love. Wanted to find a place to eat after hiking snoqualmie falls. Looked really good from google. So we stopped in. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We all had a bunch of different dishes from the ramen to the spicy wings to my favorite takoyaki. It was a nice combo for Korean and Japanese dishes. Very tasty. They really have a variety and you won't be disappointed. Their tea was also so delicious and free too!! Had to fill up my water bottle with some before we left. All the sauces we also available to add to your dishes to your liking. Nice little town it's in. Plenty of parking on the streeet or the lot in the back. Food was decently priced portions were big and food came out quickly. Seating is a little tight so I don't recommend large groups. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk helps with that. The decorations and art around the restaurant are beautiful. Truly enjoy seeing other cultures and enjoying their foods and flavors. This restaurant has great food but is totally overpriced! We haven't came here in over 2 years so maybe the prices have changed since then. When we went to go order the lady who took our order seemed like she didn't want to be there. She also kept getting our order wrong so we had to repeat our order many times. When we first walked into the restaurant the smell of ramen was very strong!! I could even smell it down the road. It was also not that clean in there. My food had HAIR in it. The reviews raved about Ramen, but the Ramen is exactly like instant noodle, shin noodle to be specific. The bulgogi is not Korean style, it's bland. We had to drown it with gochujang to make it tolerable. However, the service was on point and friendly. The place is comfortable, and outdoor seating was nice. Confession: I don't like ramen. Never have, never will. My husband on the other hand, loves it. He could eat it every day. We have struggled to find a ramen spot that also offers things that are not ramen and still delicious. I am so pleased to say that we have found our unicorn! Ridge Cupbop & Ramen has fantastic ramen bowls (according to my husband) and bibimbap bowls (according to me). There was no shortage of veggies, meat, or toppings in the bowls. They were flavorful with good sized portions. We also ordered chicken wings and calamari. The calamari was good, but nothing to write home about. The wings, though, were AMAZING. Like, they almost beat the bowls out for top runner. They have a sticky sweet and sour glaze, lots of meat on them, and the perfect crunch on the outside. This far out of Seattle, a ramen shop was unexpected. We stumbled on this place while staying at Salish Lodge and were impressed. Located on the main street of town, this small shop has parking in back and plenty of parking in the street and around it. The shop is small, probably seating no more than 20, and is a blend of Japanese and Korean food. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and some of their calamari along with it. The ramen was perfect. It avoided the problem that lots of subpar ramen shops have of having too much salt. The bowl was also larger than normal which made it easier to find the various things and ingest. An egg was included by default which was a nice touch. Service was top notch, with the staff stopping by to check on us after we had our meal even though a large portion of the restaurant is self service (such as water, utensils, and extra sauce). I would visit here again, and recommend it for people in need of an Asian Fusion fix while in the North Bend / Fall City area. They do have takeout. Food is always made fresh though, so do expect a wait while your meal is prepared. read more
