Fantastic Ramen in North Bend. Ramen has become one of my favorite post mountain bike ride meals after I discovered it in Squamish BC. So stoked North Bend now has a yummy Ramen place to stop into after hitting tiger or raging river trails. Helps to replenish the sodium levels. Great service and reasonable pricing.

Stopped by for a quick lunch after going to the licensing location nearby to get a REAL ID. Super convenient location in the same plaza! We actually got there about 30mins before opening, but the owner saw us outside and kindly invited us in to get away from the cold and look at the menu before the kitchen was open -- really cannot beat the service and hospitality of this homey local restaurant! As for the food, I ended up not being the biggest fan -- the teriyaki was a little too salty for me and the karaage we got was much too doughy. But it wasn't bad, and I would probably stop by again if I was in the area around lunch time.

This is the most incredible black garlic tonkotsu ramen! It might just be my favorite version I've ever tasted. The rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles made it an unforgettable meal. It smelled so delicious and I forgot to take a photo before I started eating!! Service could have been a bit more attentive but not a deal breaker by any means. Highly recommend trying it!

I had to wait for my DOL appointment so decided to stop in here for lunch. I ordered the lunch bento with chicken teriyaki and the appetizer cucumber salad. The whole experience was just average. The cucumbers weren't bad. They had been salted but the dressing was recently made so the cucumbers hadn't fully marinaded. The salad dressing was quite flavorless and watery, maybe because the lettuce had been washed and had not been dried? The chicken teriyaki also lacked flavor and had to ask for extra sauce as it was on the dry side. However the egg roll came out hot and the California roll was fine. Not gourmet but no complaints either. I understand this is North Bend and a small downtown area. My friend and I were the only ones dining inside right around 12 Noon. During our lunch, there were a couple To-Go orders. The owners were nice and the food came out quickly. I would like to try other restaurants the next time I am in the area.

Yama Si is an absolute gem hidden in the mountains. We stopped here while visiting Seattle and surrounding area and im so glad we did. The shop is small but vibrant and fun giving hits of Japan aesthetic. The menu includes classic Japanese finger foods like sushi and tempura appetizers and ramen. For small bites we shared the chicken karagee which was soo good. Lightly battered with juicy thigh pieces that just explode with flavor. This is how karaage should be. Some places make it way too crispy. We also got a shimp tempura roll that was amazing 10/10z For main i had the Red Lava ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, noodles cooked perfectly and the pork was delicious. The right amount if spice and umami flavors. I wish i could have ate more or taken some back home with me. We enjoyed everything here including the hospitality. Everyone was super nice from the young girl at the counter to owner's wife who we spent some time talking about the area and food. Give them a try!

Small space tucked into a strip mall with excellent food. Our group got a (vegan) miso ramen, (vegan) tofu yakisoba, and (vegan) tofu teriyaki which were all delicious. Huge portions of tofu in the teriyaki with sauce, salad, and two heaping scoops of rice. The tofu teriyaki was very hot (careful of the steam when biting in!) and fresh. Also shared a California roll which was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Pay at the register on the way out.

Yama Si is the only ramen spot in North Bend, and they also offer other dishes like teriyaki and sushi. It's located in a quiet strip mall with ample parking. When you enter, you can order and pay directly from a QR code at your table or at the counter. We tried a variety of dishes since it was our first time there. The Black Garlic Tonkotsu and Classic Tonkotsu ramen both scratched that ramen craving, but we were disappointed that the broth was not thick and creamy like you'd expect. The chicken karaage portion was HUGE. The texture was perfect. I really enjoyed the Mount Si roll (salmon, avocado, and cucumber). The roll was larger than I expected with generous cuts of salmon. The sushi rice did not taste like sushi rice, but it still scratched my sushi craving.

Delicious food! The ramen was tasty and the atmosphere is chill. The service is quick. Can order in or do take out. Plenty of parking out front. If in the area would recommend this place for a yummy and cozy meal

We love this Japanese food place in our hometown! They have the sweetest owners and the yummiest food! We love their ramen, their teriyaki is tasty and I love their chicken karaage! And her kimchee is the bomb! You need to try her red lava ramen is amazing if you love a spicy ramen! Very tasty!

Cute place in a strip mall but don't let that stop you. First time here and I'll cut to the chase- we will definitely be back. The restaurant is clean. When you look around you see these nice decor touches. There is a cute wall art where we sat. I just couldn't get a photo of us and I was fascinated with the cat print across the room. When you get your table, you order a QR code, which is super convenient or if you prefer you can walk up to the front register. We order the chicken teriyaki and a Ramen bowl which we are supposed to share. My husband did not share his Ramen except to give me a few bites. The noodles are very good, but the broth was delicious. The chicken teriyaki was very flavorful with a nice balance of sauce I enjoyed it although I do wish I ordered the spicy because I prefer spicy but since I was sharing I regular. Service was quick and friendly. This is kind of a hidden gem

What a great find! I didn't expect such a great lunch. We shared edamome, and they came hot, plump, and well seasoned. The spicy chicken was delicious and with nicely charred tips. I love that. I also really like the flavorful dressing on the crisp salad. The only thing that would make me happier would be brown rice. Definitely worth a stop!

Sushi Koushi is a tiny spot tucked inside the mall -- the place was pretty clean, nothing too fancy about it. We ordered Green Tea, Unagi Nigiri, Jalapeño Bombs, Dragon Roll, and the Koushi Roll. Let me start by saying -- everything we ordered was pretty amazing! A note: We are a pretty hard family to please when it comes to sushi. So far, we've only had one go-to sushi place for the past five years. This one? Even my daughter loved it. The flavors were beautifully balanced -- nothing was too overpowering. The quantity was more than sufficient for a family of three. Usually at other places, we end up ordering one more roll, but not here! I especially loved the Koushi Roll, which had seared salmon -- absolutely delicious. For the Jalapeño Bombs, we requested they replace the tuna with crab, and it was perfect for our taste buds. Needless to say, my daughter finished most of them! The service was really quick -- we were in and out within 40 minutes, which is impressive for the amount of food we ordered. Overall, a really nice and pleasant experience. Super glad we tried this one out -- highly recommend!

I've only gotten the standard pork katsu so far, but I imagine their other offerings likely elevate things even more. The staff here is amazing. They are nice, friendly, and very efficient at their work. All of them, not just the servers but busers, janitor, cooks, everyone. The owner and managers must be very good at selecting the right staff and training them well. As an example, when I pulled out my credit card to pay, a server was there in literally 3 seconds to present me the bill. The restaurant is very cozy and not too loud. There is often a line here, but don't let that deter you. It moves fast, and people in line seem to be having fun. First time trying the Redmond location and it was just as good (minus the wait). If it's your first time, go for the rosu or hire cutlet. I've tried the premium cuts like iberico and kurobuta, but honestly didn't find a huge difference in taste. What stands out is the texture--super crispy coating with juicy, tender pork inside. The sides and condiments are well thought out too. I'm a big fan of the tomato & cheese add-on. The curry add on, on the other hand, was too overpowering in flavor and masked the pork's natural flavor. Definitely a Seattle staple and worth checking out if you enjoy pork cutlet!
