Very friendly, patient staff. Food was really good and tasted fresh. Price for size of portions seems very reasonable. My husband and I could easily split a meal and our teen had enough leftovers for another meal.. I mean snack lol. It filled our bottomless pit. They were also very quick to get out our food, less than 10 minutes. I would recommend! Ambiance was very clean, and warmly welcoming!

So much food for $20! Definitely come check this place out. Everything was delicious.

Chicken and veggie stir fry + rice with some excess cabbage removed

After not being a fan my entire life, I can now honestly say, "I luv teriyaki"! Seriously. This place has swayed my opinion completely and now I understand the hype. Their sauce is excellent. Chicken cooked perfect, a little seared with grill lines but juicy on the inside, exactly how I like it and was quality! Quick friendly service, probably not somewhere I'd sit down to eat or want to "go out" to, but fabulous for to go's and convenience! My only complaint would be the chicken and veggie stir fry we ordered. The chicken was significantly less quality than our chicken teriyaki order, not cooked very well, lots of pink in pieces :/. Also, you would expect more variety of veggies... we got a TON of cabbage, some broccoli and a couple garnish style, thinly sliced carrots. No mushies, snap peas, etc. Flavor was super bland, little to no seasoning or veg/herbs to contribute (I.e. garlic, onions, cilantro)... Fast food style ambiance but way better than what you would get elsewhere! Will definitely be back, but sticking to standard teriyaki order as our go to :) Thank you for the bomb grub guys, we "LUV" it!! Pro tip: call ahead to order

Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Special (with Brown Rice +$2)

Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Special: The chicken was more burnt than preferred, but the meat was still quite tender. The sauce was good and the rice had a nice texture. I wished the meat came out hotter. The service was good and the food came out very fast. There is a place for you to bus your plates by the door.

Been frequenting this place since 2013 and have never been let down. The staff greets you with a smile and the food is always delicious.

If you're into large portions without any vegetables, this is your place. The honey chicken plate comes with two scoops of rice and a large helping of chicken. Hot and fresh, made to order. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and inviting. Prices are between fair and steep, but you do get what you ask for. High school me would have loved the lack of veg and the heavy focus on chicken and rice. Adult me kinda misses the lack of veggies. That would probably be my only complaint.

I'm placing this as one of my new favorite sushi spots on the Eastside! Four of us came for an early dinner around 4:30P on a Saturday and got seating right away in a booth. The restaurant is on the smaller end with just a few tables on each side and a few seats at the sushi bar. In addition to an appetizer, two of us shared three specialty sushi rolls and the other two in our group ordered the chicken katsu meal set. Our sushi arrived beautifully all on one plate. Each specialty roll included 10 pieces and they all contained a generous amount of filling with a relatively thin rice layer, making the average price of $18 - $19 per roll worth the value. + TAKOYAKI ($7.50): These deep-fried dumplings had a soft creamy interior and housed a small piece of tender octopus. Four pieces came in an order, topped with mayo, unagi sauce and bonito flakes. I loved the crispy exterior and they were served steaming hot. I am not sure they were made in-house or frozen, but they were delicious. + KOUSHI ROLL ($17.99): A crab, avocado and cucumber roll topped with cajun seared salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, green onion and fish roe. Between the crab filling and spicy mayo, this is a pretty creamy roll. The salmon on top had a very light sear, so while the smoky flavor was noticeable, I considered it closer to raw. The unagi sauce added some sweetness that offset the mild spice. + NAGOYA ROLL ($18.99): Tuna avocado roll topped with salmon, ponzu sauce, sweet sesame sauce, green onion and fish roe. The freshness of the fish especially shined here between the large cubes of tuna inside and the meaty slice of raw salmon on top. The sauce simply enhanced the roll without taking over the flavor, so it didn't distract from the purity of the ingredients. + SETO ROLL ($18.99): Spicy tuna and cucumber inside topped with tuna, ponzu sauce and green onion. This roll is HOT, like at least 3/5 stars on the spice scale! As spicy as it was, I really enjoyed it, especially since half the roll was topped with medium fatty tuna which was such a nice treat. Lean tuna draped over the other half. Chopped green onion on top added pops of freshness. The chicken katsu meal ($16.99) came with salad, rice and miso soup. I tried one piece of the chicken which was tender and had an excellent light crunch! Service was great as the two employees managing the dining room checked back a couple times and were actively watching in case any of the tables needed anything. I know I'll be back again for more sushi!

Fried rice has a lot of things in it - carrots, damage beans, green beans, scrambled eggs, and something else yummy but unseen. It is so good you can the fried rice alone! Stir-fried broccoli is yummy as well! Not greasy and the sauce is just perfect! I live 1.2mi away so might visit in person to same more on their menu!

So, here's the deal guys, this is visit number two and if the first time was exceptional then visit number 2 cemented it. The service is friendly, efficient, welcoming, everything you could hope for (thank you Hector!), but we were really here for the food so lets get to what we ordered Chicken Katsu Curry (upgraded with Omurice) 6/5 this comes with the Hokkaido chocolate manufacturers Royce adding a little extra depth to their curry, and oh wow when I first saw this I was so so SOOO intrigued and I'm so glad we tried it, it now a must on every visit. The chicken was cooked perfectly (a little dry on the thinner edge but that's expected with frying chicken breast) the rice is utter perfection on each dish and here there was no exception. The one thing I truly loved was that they absolutely packed it with curry, there is no spoonful or rice that won't get enough curry. This is a monster of a dish I would say if you ordering this alone for yourself, you'll have plenty of leftovers but absolutely recommend sharing between two with another dish or one for a table of 4 with other items     Chicken Karaage 5/5 I love how lemony this is, pieces are a little larger than when I've had karaage elsewhere and you cannot beat the flavor Kohaku Tendon Set/Signature Set 5/5 comes with the following tempuras, prawn, pumpkin, chicken, shitake. crab leg. French beans, lotus root and squid. This, is a great way to sample all of what they have without over doing it since we wanted to try other items, we also ordered one with the upgraded tencha set, I will say its easy to eat without the dashi, but it got much harder to use chopsticks with rice that wasn't sticky anymore lol but everything did taste yummy with or without the dashi. My favorite would have to be the prawn, French bean and chicken. Other things to note, they absolutely have parking right in front of the restaurants entrance but if it's dinner (7ish) you might have a hard time finding a spot, lunch you'll 100% find a spot You're better off reserving then walking in but we absolutely missed our reservation and not even 10min into waiting they gave as a table. Also price wise these guys are pretty decent especially for the quality of food you're getting

I love Japanese curry, and was so stoked to see such a unique curry on the menu (made with dark chocolate so it gives a richer flavor). $5 more to add shredded cabbage and miso soup; I definitely think this is worth it because there's no other fresh greens in the entree. It helps cut the heavy, fried-ness of the katsu and provides a different texture. My shrimp (ebi) katsu curry was so flaky and crispy, which is so hard to find at katsu shops where the breading is cakey and falls off the protein. However, the shrimp to flakes ratio was off and I could hardly taste the shrimp or know when I bit shrimp versus the flakes because there was so much breading. This wasn't a problem for the pork katsu, though! The portion size is massive; half the plate is rice, and the other half is the curry. For $29 for the shrimp katsu ($34 total pre tax and tip after adding the shredded cabbage and miso soup combo), I think it's worth the price if you're starving or sharing. I think it'd be cool if they did a protein combo where you pick two proteins, especially because they have a variety of pork options. This would help people justify their cost while tasting more of the menu with less overwhelming commitment. Servers are kind and attentive, and they don't rush you when you order or need more time. The interior is beautiful and well-lit with bar seating, tables and booths, and high top tables too. I'd come again if I wanted to share a katsu entree with a friend!
