    Chicken Teriyaki
    Joan K.

This is the place for the hard working blue collar workers serving our community. Sure, service isn't great and the presentation is nothing to write home about. What they do provide is a generous serving of food with decent quality for the price. We had enough leftovers for a few more meals afterwards. The owners are nice genuine people. They're just not into small talk. Please consider them when you want something quick and simple for takeout on those busy evenings.

I wanted to support local on the Plateau and visited Nasai Teriyaki near Trader Joes and Safeway. Like everything, the cost of food and services has increased and the #1 Chicken Terriyaki is $14.99 + tip and tax so close to $20. Costs aside and the portions and wait time, I was disappointed. It took 20+ minutes to get my to-go order even though I was the only person in the restaurant. Someone placed an order of 3 chicken Teriyakis, 10 minutes after me and there food arrived before mine was available. I voiced my concern about the crazy long wait time when no body was in the restaurant and me arriving at 3:45pm... I was hoping that maybe it took so long as the food was being freshly cooked and would be piping hot... I took it home and ate it and the food wasn't warm so this wasn't the case. I think the long wait to get my food was due to either poor communication from the front of the house staff to the cooks or the cooks were on break when I ordered... Unfortunately although I am a local to the community, I do not plan on returning due to slow service, OK food etc...

I love teriyaki and I always drive past this location so one day after work I stopped by . Although I'm glad I tried it, I'll never be back . The customer service and friendliness just wasn't there , but it was better than the food was. The portion size was great but the chicken did NOT taste anything like teriyaki . It looked more like a thin thin layer of gravy or something . I didn't even finish it , I'll bring it home to my kids. The salad dressing was good , but that's about it . So disappointed, oh well , on to the next stop . Ps the health rating is only at ok, I really like to see "excellent " or "good"

This is one serving of chicken teriyaki?!? Good "value" except I don't have an office to feed, so most of this will be tossed :(

I was really hungry so I decided to grab some chicken teriyaki to-go. The food was prepared quickly and I was happy they remembered to put napkins and a fork in my bag (because some places forget). The salad that came with the teriyaki was alright. Standard teriyaki joint lettuce and dressing. The rice was also fine. The chicken... the chicken was tasty, but I got really unhappy when I realized that the entree box was overflowing (too much chicken and a bunch of sauce pooling in the bag). I was not interested in carrying around a leaky teriyaki box all day and not interested in eating more chicken in one meal than I probably eat in a week or maybe even a month, so most of it ended up in the garbage. This "serving" would have been great for a group, but for me it was annoying and led to a stomach ache (even though I ate maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of the food). The food was pretty tasty and a good value ($10 could have probably fed 3-5 people) so I'm going to have to go with 4 stars... but I don't want to get any entrees here in the future, and probably won't go back at all.

Huge portion of chicken teriyaki. I'm stuffed. Only thing I didn't like was the salad dressing. I prefer the typical white asian dressing.

I'm happy to report that the high standards definitely carry over! We ordered the Big Fish Boat, and it was the exact same high quality that I've experienced in Bothell. The sashimi and sushi pieces were HUGE and incredibly fresh. While the boat is over $100, it is absolutely worth the price for the quality and presentation you receive. I've paid more elsewhere for average sushi, but this was top tier. What really stood out was the service. Even though there was only one server working the floor, she was incredible. Her service was optimal; she was attentive, quick, and always ensured our tea was topped off. Since we were a party of 4, she even complimented us with an extra miso soup, which was such a thoughtful touch. It's great to have a reliable, high-quality sushi option on the Plateau with such a welcoming staff. If you're a fan of the Bothell location, you'll be very happy here. We will return to dine at this location when we are in the area.

We dine there probably 2x per month because it is so good. We typically order the Sushi for 2 which has nigiri and sashimi pieces along with two rolls: tuna and a premium one (Dragon?). Extra ginger request is met heartily. Minor customization (no shellfish) well accommodated. This tends to have standard selections, and the a la carte selections are numerous if you wish for more exotic choices. I round it off with the hot sake. There is also a 'frequent flier' program which gives a slight discount back from prior points earned. I also rarely give out 5 stars: I reserve such rating for 'walk on water' type experiences. The fact that BF returns high levels every time achieves this coveted score.

This is definitely not your typical omakase with nigiri after nigiri. Each dish was aesthetically beautiful, delicious, and rich with flavors. We really enjoyed the tuna sashimi pieces. They were melt in your mouth spectacular. Really cool, they made a rice dish and gave us the rest to take home as leftovers. At this point in the meal, we were soooo full. The parfait to end was delicious. Love all the yuzu flavors. Service was very professional. They even offered to put my bag in a tray. Would recommend this omakase if you're looking for something a little different!

I've only gotten the standard pork katsu so far, but I imagine their other offerings likely elevate things even more. The staff here is amazing. They are nice, friendly, and very efficient at their work. All of them, not just the servers but busers, janitor, cooks, everyone. The owner and managers must be very good at selecting the right staff and training them well. As an example, when I pulled out my credit card to pay, a server was there in literally 3 seconds to present me the bill. The restaurant is very cozy and not too loud. There is often a line here, but don't let that deter you. It moves fast, and people in line seem to be having fun. First time trying the Redmond location and it was just as good (minus the wait). If it's your first time, go for the rosu or hire cutlet. I've tried the premium cuts like iberico and kurobuta, but honestly didn't find a huge difference in taste. What stands out is the texture--super crispy coating with juicy, tender pork inside. The sides and condiments are well thought out too. I'm a big fan of the tomato & cheese add-on. The curry add on, on the other hand, was too overpowering in flavor and masked the pork's natural flavor. Definitely a Seattle staple and worth checking out if you enjoy pork cutlet!
