Great spot that's tucked away on Bel-Red. They're always quick to answer when I call in. I've recently been a fan of the chicken teriyaki and crispy garlic chicken combo, it ALWAYS comes out piping hot and crispy. Teriyaki Express is the only teriyaki place I frequent in Bellevue and my go-to lunch spot if I forget to pack lunch for the day. I always order the half chicken teriyaki, half chicken katsu combination with rice and salad (except I ask for spicy chicken teriyaki! Spicy over regular, always). If you're looking for a big meal than you're in luck - it's so much food, I always have to sacrifice the salad. The staff is also super nice and friendly and it makes it easy to always come back. I'll be a regular here as long as I'm in and around Bellevue. read more

Stopped in here to dine in while I was waiting for my discount tire appointment. The food is amazing and the people that work here are so nice. We got the spicy chicken special that was 9.99 today and the chicken teriyaki & gyoza combo. The spicy chicken is hot and fresh and it's marinated with a Buffalo sauce that isn't the usual Buffalo sauce it's not overpowering and it was delicious. The chicken teriyaki was tender and the chicken was moist I loved how you could taste the char on some pieces. The gyoza was hot, fresh and crispy. The entrees come with sauce on the chicken and extra sauce on the side. They also come with a little side salad with a tasty creamy dressing. We also had the egg rolls which were $4 for 2. These are massive and delicious. The owner asked if it was our first time and gave us a garlic sauce on the side that she said people liked , so sweet of her. I visited Teriyaki Express for lunch today and ordered the Teriyaki Chicken combo and a Coca-Cola. The chicken was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and tasted phenomenal. The food is great and the place is spotless. People that work there are beautiful, nice and professional. Can't be beaten for the price and overall quality. I paid only 13.00 for a very full plate that could be shared by 2 of delicious General Tso's chicken and fried rice with extra vegetables. I would definitely recommend this fast-casual restaurant for delicious food to go! It was so good I am going back after inhaling my rice to get a plate for my mom before they close at 6 pm. On our second trip I tried the delicious katsu chicken with garlic sauce- it was definitely my favorite item. When I come back, I want to try the veggie tempura. read more

Edit: today I went in for takeout and it's not the same as before. I asked the owner for a cup to pour some sriracha in and she got bothered that I asked her for a small container cup, aside from her hanging up on me when I called to order my meal. I get it, prices are high right now and are affecting us, but don't become stingy with your customers. It's the customers that keep your business running. Ugh, so disappointed. read more

Consistently good food that is a very generous portion by my standards. They are always super friendly and fairly quick even when it's busy. I haven't tried ordering online so I don't know how that process goes but they always have daily specials so I prefer to go in first anyways to see what the options are before ordering. read more

So this spot is off the radar. It's located smack dabbed in the middle of industrial businesses. Which is probably a good idea since there's not another food spot nearby. Anyways, their teriyaki (chicken & beef) are amazing! Let's not forget about their yakisoba, so full of flavor and veggies crispy. They're only open on weekdays. Finally had the chance to come by here again after my workplace moved out of Bellevue. Bummer. Different ownership & staff, definitely different recipes. This was my number 1 General Tso's Chicken I have ever had but definitely not anymore. Still friendly and food is acceptable but I'll be missing that particular dish from the old ownership forever :( Hate that about our PNW Teriyaki culture, constant changes in ownership that do nothing to ensure the recipes and quality stay the same. read more

Okay Teriyaki. The chicken teriyaki was better than the katsu so I'd avoid that. They have brown rice as well. Portions are good and prices are fair. Service was friendly and quick! Overall, just okay. We got take out and the food was good. My only gripe is they didnt put enough sauce on the chicken. Otherwise, food was packaged well and came out quickly. read more

Found this spot when I needed to get a nail removed from my tire and had to wait a few hours. I came in around 12:30 on a Monday and there was a short line but it moved fast. Friendly staff, quick service, large food portions. I ordered chicken teriyaki and it was good, it came with two scoops of rice and salad. Every table had bottles of soy, Sriracha and teriyaki if you need extra. Prices were on par. Clean bathrooms. Small parking lot. read more

DELICIOUS!!! The teriyaki is flavorful and the sauce is perfect - not too sweet, not gooey but not runny. They also have Korean food - Galbi and bulgogi - which is also SUPER DELICIOUS ! I asked about it , and these used to be a special but people asked for it so often it became a permanent menu item. They use ribeye for the galbi so the meat quality is great! I saw a lot of people get sides of garlic sauce so I got some too. It's creamy and has a hint of sweetness; I mixed it with Sriracha and it was awesome. There are a few Chinese dishes and tempura too. Prices are the same as other places : 8 to 15 bucks depending on what you get (just teriyaki, combos, meat plates, etc). read more

When I'm at the office craving teriyaki, this is my go to place. The location is somewhat hidden but that's even better so that it's not as busy. Just kidding, this place gets packed during the lunch rush! Like this place can get stuffy especially if you're in line or waiting to order because of the location of the cashier. I ordered the beef teriyaki and the came with two perfect scoops of rice and a side salad. Their beef was cooked perfectly and had great taste. When I finish my food, everyone knows that means I enjoyed my meal.... I finished my food and wanted more. I would recommend this place if you're nearby and wanted a good teriyaki place. I also tired a few bites of my co-worker's orange chicken (like I said I wanted more), and it was pretty good! It kind of tasted like the orange chicken I get from Trader Joes. So I moved to California and I dream about the crispy chicken and garlic sauce often. When I lived here I could get it once a week as I worked across the street. Well, all week I've been here I couldn't wait to get it. I just got it and I'm sooooo disappointed. First off, when I got there I asked the lady to make sure she put the extra garlic sauce inside and she said yes, along with my receipt. Good thing I checked, as I had neither. I waited for her to help the gentleman after me and she looked st me like "what?!" I asked her for my receipt and told her the extra sauce was not in there. She had to search her trash can for the receipt and found it. Then gave me the sauce. When I went to eat my food it was hard, over crisp it cut my mouth and the amazing garlic sauce I dream about wasn't what I remembered. I was bummed and didn't even finish my $10 meal. I literally work a few blocks from this place. I've been coming to this place for a few years now. The portion sizes are really generous and in most cases I eat half for lunch and save the rest for a snack later. Takes about 5-10 minutes before your order comes out, but that can depend on what you order. I tend to mostly order the daily special as the menu as too much of everything I want. This takes out the decision making process and I know my order will come quicker They have lots of parking slots to use up. read more

The prices were great, for teriyaki/katsu and the whole menu, but not very happy with the quality of the breading on the katsu or chicken meat. This may have only been this specific occasion, but they didn't have any white rice, only brown. That's my preference but seemed kind of odd for a yaki shop. My significant other seemed to enjoy it but I will probably not return. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were polite. read more

This is some of the best teriyaki I've had in the Seattle area, and it comes with a bonus of bulgogi and galbi on the menu too. Sometimes teriyaki places can uses sauces that are way too sweet but that isn't the case here - there was a perfect balance of savory and sweet in every bite I had here. A special game changer here is the garlic sauce they have. Use that on pretty much anything they bring out and you'll be pleased. Great food, good value, and what appears to be an incredibly tidy space. I'll come back when I'm over in Bellevue again. read more

Could I have found this place without Yelp or something like it guiding me? No way! My boyfriend was getting his car windshield fixed down the street (a lot of car shops in this area) and I was hungry, so I started searching for lunch. This was the closest restaurant to the shop and the reviews looked good, so I went searching for it. Took me a few minutes, but eventually I figured out where it was. (Left side of the road if you're coming up 130th from Bel-Red.) When I walked in, I discovered that this place was packed with people who (probably) work in the area. Wonder if they send take-out menus to the near-by businesses or if people just tell all new employees about the local teriyaki spot. I was originally thinking about the $6.99 chicken teriyaki, but noticed that the specials (including chicken teriyaki & gyoza) were also $6.99, so I decided to go for the plate with more variety. A little more expensive than some other teriyaki places I've been to, but... they don't really have any competition, so they could probably stay busy even if they charged a little more. (Not that I'm saying they should. ;)...) For $6.99 + tax, I got the standard small lettuce & dressing salad, two balls of rice, about 5 pieces of (fried) gyoza, and maybe about 7 pieces of chicken (in teriyaki sauce). The serving was large (easily big enough to satisfy two people) and the food was... what I expect from a good teriyaki spot. Not likely to visit again anytime soon because I don't live or work in the area, but this is a good spot. I'm glad Yelp helped me find it. read more

This place is the worst... The guy (probably the son of the family) at the counter didn't even acknowledge us standing there for several minutes. No other customer at the counter. He continues to mess with the resister. Finally we ordered and ate our dried up chicken. When we were ready to leave we asked for an extra little tub of sauce to take home and they charged me extra 55 cents... Not going here again... read more

The waiters were polite and lenient with my preferences and gave excellent service, no complaints there. I came in on a Tuesday or Wednesday at 2:00 ish by myself, so it wasn't crowded. I can't say for weekends but judging by other reviews the waitlist can take a while (not sure if it's different if you come on a weekend but by yourself). There were some people there hanging out over ramen and some people working on their laptops, so it was the perfect environment to get work done (not sure if wifi is free though) and/or chat with friends without having to raise your voice. Overall I rate four stars; good food, good service, and an okay drink. I packed up the broth for home and mixed the leftover with instant ramen, it was delicious!

There's something both warm and elegant -- welcoming -- about the interior decor. Kept looking at the murals and Wood wall art while waiting to be seated. Everything was fantastic except my friend left a special present that she received from me behind accidentally. Update: we called staff and with great thoroughness they even checked and confirmed that we had actually left with the gift box, and with that we were able to confirm that we would have left it at the next venue we went to for dessert. With relief we found it and grateful to Alan for reaching out and letting us know so we could continue our search more fruitfully. Such an excellent experience with the staff at this store.
