Not all teriyaki places are the same. I've been to so many, and a lot of them have been disappointing. This is one of the best teriyaki spots I've ever tried--and definitely the best in the Snoqualmie/North Bend area. Everything we've ordered, from regular teriyaki to katsu to yakisoba, has been great. The dishes are well-prepared, flavorful, and come in generous portions. Our favorite items are the chicken yakisoba and the chicken katsu. The yakisoba comes with so many noodles--pretty sure they use an entire package--plus lots of veggies, great flavor, and a scoop of rice. The chicken katsu is always a generous portion, juicy on the inside with a perfectly crispy exterior. And we love their katsu sauce. I used to never order gyozas, but now I get them every time. I'm not sure if they're handmade, but honestly, it doesn't matter--they're delicious and perfectly fried. We always to-go but inside is clean and service is quick. read more

This is hands down my favorite teriyaki spot -- the best I've ever had, easily beating anything I've tried in LA or Seattle. The flavors are just unmatched. The owners are so kind and welcoming every single time I come in, which makes the experience that much better. You can tell they truly care about their customers. I just picked up take out lunch for two. For $30 it was a total rip off. I ordered one teriyaki chicken and one white meat chicken teriyaki. They were both overcooked and tough as shoe leather. We tried a variety of dishes. The chicken teriyaki was ok. The chicken katsu was not very good: no flavor, thin, overcooked. The beef teriyaki was amazing. The beef and broccoli was just a few pieces of beef with a ton of cabbage and celery, some carrot, and a few tiny pieces of broccoli. I'm not sure what that's all about, but I wouldn't recommend it. The gyoza were pretty tasty, but they were really greasy. The salad was pretty laughable...just chunks of watery iceberg lettuce and the dressing tasted exactly like watered down miracle whip. Overall it was a three star meal, but seriously 5 stars on the beef teriyaki alone. I'll come back again for just for that. read more

Customer service great... But, chicken was flavorless. I can't eat the sauce, allergies, so I am used to chicken that has flavor, without sauce. Hubby's spicy chicken teriyaki was too saucy- like hot sauce just dumped on it then warmed up; he also had shrimp. It was okay... Not great. Meh, pick somewhere else if you're in the area. Always a good place in the Ridge for good teriyaki. We usually call in our order for pickup and it is ready when we arrive.

I stopped in on a Wednesday after a busy day at work to grab some dinner to take home. I walked in and the woman at the front desk proceeded to take phone orders while I was standing in front of her waiting to order. When she finally let me order she argued with me about what I wanted (I asked for chicken teriyaki with mixed veggies instead of the usual rice and salad side - knowing it would be extra cost). She basically barked at me and then told me the kitchen was 'too busy' for my order which was the point I just walked out. Very rude and the poorest customer service I've seen in a very long time. I've been here before for their chicken teriyaki which is good, but where they REALLY shine is their beef! LOVE all of their beef dishes! I always enjoy being in Snoqualmie Ridge and having excuse to patronize this spot. Thought to differentiate teriyaki, but for me it hits what I want: great standard chicken, fresh salad with a tangy dressing, and nice person at counter. This place has been one of the longest in business on The Ridge. They do a land office business in take out. I like to eat there from time to time rather than take it to go. Prices have gone up slightly over time but who hasn't. Still, my wife and I can eat for less than $25 including tip. I pretty much stick with the large bento but occasionally have short ribs, katsu , or pork. The only thing I dislike is the salad. Iceberg lettuce cut in way too big pieces to eat gracefully. Spinning the salad would help too as the lettuce must be kept in water so it stays crisp. It's always been clean there. Service is friendly. Prices are low. Portions are adequate. Their customer service sucks I basically order something and the decided want it to add something else and the person at the counter made a bad face and said ash like damn I'm paying for my food if they don't want to work don't work but they shouldn't treat their clients like they do. I work around the corner, so I hit up Himitsu about once a week. The food use to be quite good, but some new owners took over about a year ago and quality went down hill. In fact, this branch of Himitsu was shut down by the health department because of some serious issues a few months back, but they re-opened within a few days. Since the shut down the quality of the food has been better, but it's still not any where near what it once was. As Alix mentioned, it's quite expensive for 'fast food' teriyaki and lunch typically runs me about $11 ($1 to make it spicy and $ 1.50 to sub brown rice?!). Way more expensive in fact than the Milk Barn down off 202 in Snoqualmie, but it's really convenient to the office and a good walk when the weather's nice. read more

I ordered a beef teriyaki with brown rice and paid 9.80 I received barley any beef I'd say roughly 4 ounces every bite had fat on it although I was told they trim the fat off their beef. I complained about the quality and amount of meat and I was told it was because I ordered the small size Lmao. Okay.. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this stingy below average teriyaki restaurant. Also the bathroom was disgusting no toilet paper or toilet seat covers. I stopped in here for lunch the other day because I was in the neighborhood. It's not someplace I'd go out of the way for but I'd definitely eat here again. The food was very good, the portions generous, and the staff very polite. I had a spicy chicken teriyaki, which had just the right amount of heat. It also came with a side of rice and a salad. There was also complimentary hot green tea. The menu has lots to choose from and the prices are pretty reasonable considering how much food you get. I was a little disappointed that it was $1.50 extra for brown rice, which I thought was too much to swap a side. The regular size was enough for me to fill up on salad and save about half the chicken and rice for a snack later. Not two full meals, but two smaller ones. I imagine if you get the large you could probably get two meals out of it. read more

Was driving through the area for work and needed lunch. It's a decent fix for that teriyaki itch. It's very similar to other teriyaki places. Clean space, seems like a nice family owned business. Ordered their lunch special of half sweet and sour and half chicken teriyaki. I should've said light sauce on the s&s as it was drenched. Destination Teriyaki right here. Entering i noted it's modest location but attractive lighting. The environment is safe and attractive. More important than the location, well located too, was the dish. I ordered a spicy teriyaki dish, and while I was the only person in the location, I still received it delivered to my table more promptly than anticipated. Been living here in Snoqualmie Ridge for 7 years now and all I can say is this is still a pretty good Teriyaki place even with the change of ownership a couple of years ago.Whenever I am too lazy to cook, I simply hit this place up before they close and get a to-go meal. My favorite is the chicken and pork teriyaki (it's number 8B on their menu), I have tried their spicy chicken before but it was alright and some other ones too, but 8B is still the best. Also, can simply turn my order in to spicy teriyaki too with their shriracha sauces which is amazing cuz it's just right there. The only thing I wanted to suggest is that if they're going to make the "large" actually "LARGE" then they should include even more meat because large looks exactly like the small. Other than that. The Himitsu staff and I are on a first name basis. They know my voice when I call and it takes me less than 10 seconds to get my order placed... we have a system! I've been eating here about 2 times a week for the past 5 years. The staff is very nice and the spicy teriyaki is a staple in my diet. I've tried a handful of other dishes as well, and everything has been great. If you're looking for something new to try, go with spicy beef or the udon soup made spicy. Mmmmmmm! read more
