    Vegetable Chow Mein
    Abdullah A.

Dined in with four adults and a baby. They use an app-based ordering system which is actually really convenient; you just go through and add what you want as you go, and the dishes come out pretty quickly without having to flag down a server. The waters tasted funny, I think the lemons had been sitting in the cooler for too long. The food itself was actually pretty good, including the curry fried rice with chicken, crispy Szechuan chicken, veggie chow mein. The chicken had plenty of Szechuan peppercorn flavor/numbing and was a favorite with the group. I thought the eggplant and tofu was just ok. Both outside and in the app, a discount was advertised, but my final bill didn't seem to reflect it. Overall a solid meal.

    Dinner- My crunchy noodles.

Shrimp and vegetables. Perfectly garlicky and vegetables cooked al dente. Sliced celery, carrots, broccoli, delicious shrimp. Some other veggies too, cabbage in a light garlic sauce. A side of white steamed rice. Vegetable egg rolls were alright. I suppose they're better if you dine in and freshly fried. But I still enjoyed them. I could tell they were fried for sure. The sweet and sour sauce yummy and really orange. Friendly service and good vibes. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Appreciated the order being ready and on time. Plenary of parking in a large lot with other businesses. SYOY!

Straight family owned. The host was an old man (sweet old man) sat us down BUT! Also cooked the food! And you see that man wok-in that food in the back and he didn't seem overwhelmed either! A lot of customers were coming in and he still sat them down and answered their questions. Food came out AMAZING. Please get the spicy wontons and use the chili oil in your bricket soup!!

Came here for a pick up order. I ordered a Szechuan Seafood noodles with egg noodles and the portion was huge. I love the amount of food that was given. The soup was definitely spicy but not the type that would make you choke which was perfect. There was a lot of fresh fish balls in the soup I think which was good but I did wish there was more variety of seafood. The restaurant was empty when I walked in at 2 P.M. it could have been a weird time but my food was ready the moment I got there. I would definitely come back for a quick take out order.

$22 for fried rice what happened? Beef chow fun $22 so basic dishes for over $20. This inflation is crazy.

Opened 4 years ago, momma pop restaurant all the way. Food - on point with flavors my husband grew up in Flushing, NY. *beef noodle soup, $14.95- hand shaven noodles were tender. Beef and the tendon could have braised a little longer, not super tender. Light in flavor, had tomato in the ingredient. * stir fried rice cakes, $14.95- traditional fried rice cakes. Only cabbage and green onion as veggies. The pork strips were tender. Minimal in ingredients, worked well for our kids! * orange chicken, $14.95 - I enjoyed the sweet sauce. Chicken fried mid way style between American Chinese and Chinese, medium batter level. Service- nice service. small restaurant, 4 people working on a Sat afternoon. Lady is limited in English. Food came out fast! Ambiance- very relaxed, casual. They do have a couple large tables for 8-10 ppl seating. Location- in strip mall with QFC, near Tapatio. Has plenty of parking. Value- portions were good in relative to their pricing and quality. Recommend- I would come back for the flavors, Hong Kong homey flavors.

Shrimp chow fun with metal spiral piece

Staff was friendly and food was good. It was my first (and likely my last) time coming here. Half way into my to go, I found a metal-like twisted piece in the noodles. Time will tell whether I accidentally ingested any.

I frequently passed this place on my grocery shopping trips and was always curious to try. My only regret was not trying sooner. Szechuan Crispy Fried Fish - insanely delicious. Crispy and light batter and packs a punch in flavor. I ordered a level three but definitely could have went higher. The spice was decent but mild if you really enjoy the Szechuan experience. Salt and pepper squid. - thick but super tender. No long chewing required. The mild yet perfectly seasoning of salt and pepper were perfect. The eggplant was soft and soaked up all the deliciousness.

Small place, but nicely laid out and decorated. TV played playoff football game, nice to see. My first time here after wanting to go for years. They donated food for the local Newcastle Lunar New Year celebration and it was gone in a flash, so we stopped in afterwards with another couple for a meal. They have two Chinese-trained chefs that know their stuff. All our dishes were great! Started with fish & sauerkraut soup- my wife and her friend ordered-I didn't even see the menu! Cong you bing, Fried tofu, Chongqing chicken, cumin lamb, and a Singaporean style noodle dish. We shared a bottle of Columbia Valley Merlot that was surprisingly good with the dishes. There was a constant stream of takeout traffic while we were there, pretty good for a Sunday night. Now that I've broken the ice, will be a regular stop!

This review is about to-go food packaging. Restaurants should not be using Styrofoam for takeout food. There are so many alternatives and they are no longer cost prohibitive. Yang's food is delicious and their service prompt and pleasant. However, they need to stop using Styrofoam (which shows the recycle symbol of "6" inside a triangle, see photo). Note to administrators: I do not know how to remove the "Food" and "Service" tags for this post.

Honestly, the food was great and it came out pretty timely as well. All the non-soup dishes were the right mala, so be warned if anyone can't handle numbing/spice. The staff was extremely attentive from the beginning - checking in on us if we could handle spicy/mala, serving us the first bowl of soup, giving us extra napkins, and asking to change to clean plates. I would say that the parking, if packed, is troublesome as I would assume there are many people that would come here after work. It is right next to the T-Mobile office so I would say be wary of the parking. Other than that, we had a great time here and would invite more people to come.

It was, because Tasty House took over a former Chinese spot but improved on their quality. Ample parking in a good location. While they offer physical menus, they also have QR codes at each table for simple ordering online. We are accustomed to spots including rice with entrees so having to order it separately for an extra $2 per bowl feels bad. Items are large, so tailored for family style. Stir Fried Green Bean - as a green beans fanatic, my partner was a huge fan of the ones here. She liked these over our usual Canto spot which says a lot. The green beans themselves were fresh and cooked perfectly but the sauce was more flavorful than most. Very savory and lightly salty, not really spicy. Sweet and Sour Chicken - missing the onions and pineapple but a very sizable portion of large, tasty battered chicken paired with juicy and crunchy bell peppers. Definitely pair with some rice, there's a lot of sauce and a simple carb helps with balance. Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce - I was attracted by the steamed buns (gua bao), but the pork was tasty. A bit fatty and drenched in a savory, umami bean sauce, a simple carb like rice will help soak up sauce and balance flavors. There aren't enough buns for the meat, but they are a simple carb that balance out the meat and honestly, a refreshing change in flavor and texture.

Two of us came in at noon on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. A carafe of water with lemon was already placed on the table and we asked for a pot of tea which was complimentary. Out of their large menu, we selected three dishes which turned out to be a well-balanced meal. The food came out more quickly than expected and the portions were generous! While we polished off the vegetable dish, we had enough noodles and chicken for another serving. + CHONG QING HOT CHICKEN ($21.99): Small fried pieces of chicken came tossed in spicy seasoning and a ton of dried chili peppers. The online menu displays three pepper icons which I'd describe as accurate... I could definitely feel the heat! Despite the moderate tingling, I couldn't stop eating these as the outside was perfectly crispy, the chicken was juicy inside and the pieces weren't too salty either. I just wish the chunks of chicken were larger. Many of them were so small that it felt like I was eating just crust. + HOT & SPICY HAND SHAVEN NOODLES ($15.99): Really good! These noodles are hand-cut, so they come in a variety of lengths and thickness. I asked about the spice level on this dish and the waiter said it's between one and two stars, but you can ask them to make it spicier if you'd like. I personally didn't find them very spicy, especially not compared to the Chong Qing Hot Chicken! The noodles had a nice firm chew and the sauce was addicting too. For our meat option, we chose beef, which was super tender and thinly sliced. An ample amount of cabbage added some crunch. + STIR-FRIED GREEN BEANS ($15.99): These beans were so delicious and tossed with a ton of chopped garlic. This was not spicy at all, but full of flavor. We kept scooping more and more beans onto our plates. The employees who we interacted with were personable and as we packed our leftovers, we asked for a couple cups of hot water to end our meal. The waiter kindly brought them over and also gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes at 3:00P, just in case we wanted to order anything else. At 3:00P, the staff all take their lunch break and the restaurant opens back up at 5:00P for dinner. Given the various table sizes, this restaurant can accommodate groups of different sizes. There are many four-person tables, but also a couple larger tables in the front and what appeared to be a separate room behind two doors. I recommend Tasty House for a good local Szechuan spot! 4.25 stars.

I had lived in Beijing for 8 years and spoke pretty good mandarin for a 老外 so I ordered for us. Our waitress, one of two sisters who ran the place, I call her 陈大姐, said to me, Wow, you can speak Chinese! You must be very smart! I replied, You must be very smart. You can speak Chinese! At first she didn't know what to say but then laughed. It was the beginning of a lovely relationship. However since the pandemic we had not been back. Perhaps yesterday we were in the spirit of celebrating the Spring Festival. We decided to go there. What a great choice! 陈大姐 by coincidence was working. She retired years ago. (Her sister opened another 老四川 in Bellevue but unfortunately has since passed away.) 陈大姐 immediately recognized us. She remembered our son and other family members who often joined us there. It felt like old friends getting together again. Unfortunately my wife and I were the only ones in our little group. It's better to have more people so you can order more dishes. We only got 4 dishes, 宫保鱼, 椒盐虾,干煸四季豆, 夫妻肺片。Gong bao fish, salt and pepper shrimp, green beans and "husband and wife lung strips"! Actually that's a beef and tendon appetizer. Everything tasted just like we remember. Well, the fish dish was wetter than before but still tasty. Flavors are authentic but a little toned down from the Sichuan food in China and in a few other local restaurants. The main flavor of Sichuan cuisine is 麻辣 or spicy numbing. It's not really so hot as it is numbing. Your lips tingle. Most people who didn't grow up with this aren't big fans. Their 水煮肉 or 水煮鱼 comes pretty close though. Leftovers with either of those and leftover rice plus whatever make the very best 烩饭, huifan! Just boil it. We arrived there early and there were just a few other customers eating. And they left soon after. So it was just us and a steady stream of delivery drivers coming in to pick up food to go. I would consider ordering on line like that but this food doesn't hold up well over the distance to our home. Although the interior had been remodeled since our last visit, the decor is fairly stark. Combine that with the location in a strip mall on the corner of Jackson and 12th, which has seen better days, ambience isn't a real draw. However if what you want is a very good meal at reasonable prices then you should go to the Sichuanese Cuisine restaurant in Seattle. (I prefer it to the one in Bellevue.) Too bad you probably won't get to meet 陈大姐。Now that we know the food is still great, we will return.
