B7. Shrimp Rice Roll B7.

I really wanted to like this place. The young man working there was patient and kind. Pros: lots of seating at 5pm on a Thursday Fairly clean Great menu selection Easy to order takeout Really great young man working there Big portions Freshly made Cons: food is inedible I ordered the Peking Duck Crepe and the shrimp rice roll Peking Duck crepe was huge but they basically give you 3 pieces of duck for something that's 8x11 in size and the duck pieces were not meat pieces but the butt ends of a roast duck you would get at a Chinese deli It was extremely gamey- disgusting and it took me eating 1/4 of the very crispy and fresh crepe to get to it... that was when I stopped eating after the super gamey flavored butt piece of the duck and asked to throw it away. The shrimp rice roll was more rice roll than shrimp and had a weird flavor. It felt like it was cooked on a pan that had chemical on it - bleach? Whatever it was, the chemical smell contaminated the rice roll Finally the packaged chop stick they gave you has a very bitter taste... I think from the processing of the wood. You can't untaste it and it impacts the food flavor Maybe this contributed to the very odd and very alarming taste of the rice roll - I spit it out of my mouth after and threw everything away... For $40 for both dishes that were barely eaten, I would Not recommend

Easy seating and plenty of parking. The food is easy to order there is a QR code where we submit the orders. Definitely feels authentic, and the food comes out fresh and hot. Bought two different porridge. The porridges are a little watery, not very dense so they might not be filling. Sampan porridge was really good. The shrimp was perfect. Plenty of fish and pork. The eggs was very limited. Preserved egg and pork tasted similar, the porridges are very light so it allows folks to add pepper. I personally like it lighter so it's great that it allows others for adjusting. The deep fried dough is great, perfectly made. Will probably buy it to go once in awhile. The rice rolls are really tasty! One of them was sold out, so I tried the beef pork shrimp roll. Would highly recommend Very clean and organized site. The staff are quick and efficient.

Chinese Bacon, Chinese Sausage and Taro Stone Pot ($16.99)

For being tucked in a corner of a little strip mall, Lee's Kitchen was bustling when five of us went on a Saturday for lunch. The restaurant has around 10 small tables, so we were lucky to be seated immediately. One employee completely managed the front of the restaurant by greeting customers, serving the food and cleaning up the tables. She was very sweet and welcoming, pulling two tables together to accommodate us. I am not deducting any stars for this, but I noticed there appeared to be somewhat of a language barrier. She communicated almost completely in Chinese and had to grab an employee from the kitchen to converse with a customer in English. Ordering and payment takes place completely via QR code, so there wasn't much interaction with the staff other than us needing to ask for some serving utensils. The food was prepared in a timely manner and the employee served each dish with a sincere smile. Just keep in mind that if you order a stone pot, they take about 30 minutes to prepare, so place an order for it immediately if you're in a rush. + LEE'S MARINATED PORK ($18.99): This tender slab of pork was chopped into thick cubes and cooked in a soy sauce marinade. It had a hefty layer of fat on the top which I avoided, but the meat itself was succulent and not too salty. Due to its heavy fat content, I recommend eating it with some rice. + CHINESE BROCCOLI w/ OYSTER SAUCE ($12.99): Exactly how it sounds, this was just a straightforward vegetable dish. It was cooked nicely with the broccoli stems still having a firmness to them. + BLACK PEPPER BEEF FRIED NOODLES ($18.99): My favorite! The noodles were tossed in an addicting black pepper sauce with bean sprouts, onion and tender slices of beef. It had a slight wok flavor and every bite got increasingly more spicy from the pepper. I'd go back just for this dish! + BEEF, PORK & SHRIMP RICE ROLL ($10.99): Medium-sized shrimp and crumbles of beef and pork were wrapped in delicate rice ribbons, lightly covered in soy sauce. The rice rolls fell apart easily, so this was difficult to share, but they tasted pretty good and had a reasonable amount of filling. + CHINESE BACON, CHINESE SAUSAGE & TARO STONE POT ($16.99): Thin slices of fatty Chinese bacon and Chinese sausage topped a large bowl of rice. The rice coating the inside of the pot developed a brown crispiness, giving it a crunchy texture and toasty flavor. Some cubes of taro were buried under the meat and a small portion of bok choy laid on top along with a coarse chili oil. This was a substantial and shareable dish, but there was much more rice than meat, so I probably wouldn't get it again. They have complimentary pot of bone broth at the front of the restaurant where customers can help themselves to unlimited servings. It was clean and light with a natural chicken flavor. Overall, the food was good in terms of flavor, but the rice rolls, Chinese broccoli and marinated pork were NOT served hot, which was concerning. They were room temperature at best, so I was turned off by that. We didn't get sick or anything, but it was unsettling at the moment, especially when seeing that their King County health rating was also just "Okay". 3.25 stars.

Lee S Stir Fry Beef Rice Noodles

This place caters towards a white audience for some dishes and some towards Asian people. Takeaways are their stone pot dishes and that's about it. Bulk and price approved. More info if you want: beef chow fun has good wok hey but lacking in salt. Avoid the cheong fun that shit was more water than soy sauce. It had as much flavor as store bought potato salad. If you bring that to the cookout I'm not inviting you back!

Chef special black pepper fried rice noodles

Today we tried the following Fish fillet congee- authentic flavorful congee. Good portion for one. Rating 5/5 Chef special black pepper fried noodles - spicy and tasty. Excellent taste. But beef pieces were less. Good portion for one. 3/5 because of the less pieces. Or else definitely 5/5 Fried donught wrapped in rice sheet - 4/5. Excellent taste. Nice contrasting taste with the spicy noodles. Ambiance - simple and neat. But less number of tables. Peak time it might take 15-20 to get a table. Ample parking space Service- usually a lady used to be here. She used to serve really well. Today we had a guy who was very sad in service. He was not polite. They use to have peanuts and soup. They did not had today. When checked with the server he was not even responding properly. Todays score. . Food 4/5 Ambiance. 4/5 Service. 2/5

I checked out Lee's as it seemed like it was rated well. The premise is pretty simple - seat yourself, scan a QR code, and order. A single server for the whole place then brings food to you. You walk up to the cashier and pay afterwards. The ambiance is no frills with cpop playing in the background. You can also get a free soda if you write a 5 star review on Yelp/Google. The full menu through the QR code also is not fully available. From all of the items listed, only half were available to order. Unfortunately, I shared two rice plates with my party and the rice was consistently overcooked - it was mush. The sauce on top didn't add much flavor as well. Salt crispy chicken rice: This is basically popcorn chicken rice and it's okay. The chicken is slightly marinated and sweet. Sweet corn and egg rice roll: This dish should've been named corn rice roll. It didn't come with egg like in the title. Adding in egg is an additional cost. Considering the dish itself is already pretty pricey for just the noodle and corn, the egg should've been included. The rice roll itself was not bad. Garlic lettuce: The lettuce was undercooked and had a raw garlic flavor. Black pepper beef fried noodles: The noodles were the only positive highlight of the meal. There was a good black pepper flavor. Chicken katsu rice: The chicken katsu had an odd fry texture. It was thinly breaded and looked odd. Also, the chicken katsu was not seasoned. Overall, the whole meal was about $80 and only one item was okay.

There are PEANUTS in the noodles when we clearly noted PEANUT ALLERGY on our order!!! That's so dangerous!!!
Bon J.

Absolutely be careful if you have a PEANUT ALLERGY!! We ordered online and clearly noted PEANUT ALLERGY for each item and they sent the noodle dish with PEANUTS scattered on the top! We totally regretted ordering from here, it's so dangerous for our peanut allergies!!!

When coming in we were greeted by the only waiter they had and such a hard worker! Though our table wasn't cleaned yet she sat us down immediately and then cleaned up our table. Each table already has their water pitchers which is really nice so no need to ask. You order your own food by just scanning the QR code or you can order Togo on their kiosk. I'd say that since we ordered a couple of things some of the items did take a while but, I can't complain since all the food was really good. Me and my family really did love their chef recommended black pepper beef fried noodles, taste like what we would make at home so really delicious! The ambiance of the place seemed very chill and the place wasn't too big so I don't know if you can sit a part of more than 6 people... Definitely a place where if you have time to go by yourself and your in no rush I'd recommend it here, their selection of soups seemed more popular since that's what we've noticed with our surroundings.

Emelina W.

Great price and great food! I don't like their rice roll and fried fish cakes , the other things are great. Recommend rice noodle! and pig feet rice. Free Parking

Do the traditional food kind of right way! But need focus and make sure fresh. Hope next time do better!

Chinese Sausage with Pork Patty Stone Pot (腊肠肉饼煲仔饭) - $16

For Lee's Kitchen, I have been to two locations - the newly opened Factoria one and now this location here in Redmond. I was really eager to check out the location here as I have had good experiences at their location in Factoria one. So we went on a Sunday around 1PM and had a 5 minute wait to get seated. Parking is convenient - there are plenty of parking spots surrounding the building, and you could even stop by Hui Lau Shan for dessert afterwards if you wanted. Ambiance is casual dine in - there are probably seating for maybe 20 people in the entire restaurant. There also is a take out kiosk right next to the kitchen if you are looking to order there. Ordering at the tables are done through scanning the QR code and waiting for your order. I had several issues while trying to dine in: - Unfortunately service-wise, If you are look to wait 50 minutes for your food, then I would recommend visiting Lee's kitchen in Redmond. I do not understand why this locations service is terrible compared to their other location in Factoria. I had to not only check in once at the 30 minute mark, but again at the 45 minute mark to see if my food was being made (if at all, since I was provided no updates to the order, the restaurant wasn't even super busy at around 1:30/1:40 as people were leaving after the lunch rush), as the server didn't provide any check in updates. I don't think my order was that complicated. I ordered two items, clay pot rice and a shrimp and beef rice roll. The rice roll at the Factoria location was the first thing out after 8-10 minutes and it took them 50 minutes to get my singular order out. I think the lack of communication and expression of apology turned the whole experience off. Regarding the QR code ordering: - There was a table mixup. There was a ordering system malfunction/mess up and we had to scan another table's QR code to order, and they had to use our table number to order. I think this made things much more confusing than it had to. The other table who used our table's QR code got their food, finished their food, and THEN I had to wait another 10 minutes to get any of the items I ordered. I said I got to the restaurant at 1PM, ordered around 1:10, and then received everything around 2:20ish. - The ordering system was different than the Factoria location. To place the order, it wasn't clear if you needed to pay immediately to get your order in the system. Like your order was previewed and then there was a pay button only to continue to the confirmation page. I know at other Chinese restaurants that use the same system, you get your order confirmation, and then after you get your food, the pay button lights up. As for the food, I think everything tastes good - the rice rolls were paper thin and delicious, the stone pot rice had crispy rice and was very generous with the service - all of which is so unfortunate as the service was abysmal on my visit. I would personally advise others to be wary on visits and hope others don't fall into this situation. I personally wouldn't revisit this location as I think this is on par with some of the least ideal restaurant servicing that I have experienced. Wishing anyone good luck on their next visit that you get your food fast and on time.

B10 preserved egg and meat rice roll B12 beef brisket rice roll Wonton noodle soup
Lilian H.

There's free unlimited service of peanuts, fried wonton strips, pickled veggies, pork bone broth soup, and tea before you start eating! The rice noodles are silky and thin with a good mouthfeel. The beef brisket rice rolls did not have much sauce and was slightly heavier on the star anise flavor, the meat was tender and fatty, and the preserved egg and meat rice roll was just ok, and the wonton noodle soup was hearty but didn't have that much flavor. Price point is amazing for the food you get. I would come back for the comfort of the meal since it felt so home-y

Shrimp rice rolls
Long N.

We wanted to try their clay pot rice but they were already 86ed. So we ordered the rice rolls, soup and pork hock over rice. Except for the soup which was just OK, we were really impressed with the other 2 dishes. The skin of the rolls was crazily thin and the sauce was great. I just wished all rolls have shrimp instead of just 1/2. But the hero is the pork hock. It was so tender that felt like it can melt in your mouth. The sauce was so flavorful! Will come back here to try more stuffs

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

CHECK your bill here!!!!!!!!…read more We took our daughters from out of town for Sunday dim sum. Longtime family tradition!! And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

The broth, again, is not fish-based but the same meat-ish flavor, same as the dumplings noodle soup. I wish I never ordered this.
