Good food, fast paced service in a typical Chinese dim sum setting. Reliably good all around. Toughest decision is where to park due the small lot in front and all the towing signs everywhere.

Top Gun Restaurant is an institution in Factoria. While it's not the most elegant Chinese food you'll ever have and it's a bit more expensive than it probably needs to be - it is consistently solid. They're open early until late, portions are generous, and the food is reliably satisfying. Honestly, I can't really complain. It's my old reliable spot for dim sum or Cantonese takeout in the area. They also updated the interior so it's more modernized and seats more guests. Just a FYI: parking is a total fiasco, so plan accordingly.

Stopped in to pick up some Top Gun Special Soft noodle chow mein. Includes shrimp, chicken, roast pork, etc. my g -kids really love noodles! Also got another favorite for the g-kids. Sweet and sour pork. Yummy Employees are always cordial and attentive. Food was well packed for take out. No spillage! Opps Forgot to take pictures.

Came for Father's Day brunch and it was maybe half full at 10am. The server didn't ask us what tea we wanted, and we got jasmine which is fine, but would've been good to have a choice lol You enter in your order online which was super convenient. The food also comes out really quick. The food itself is okay. The bbq pork bun had a weird flavor, the bean curd rolls were a bit dry for my liking, and the egg tarts are super small, which messes with the proportion of egg filling to crumbly crust. Everything else was mid at best. Ambiance is okay. Some of the tables are way too close together which isn't great. Overall, I'd say, just plan for the wait at better dim sum places.

I've been coming here years and it has never disappointed. Granted it had been a couple of years since my last visit and while they remodeled, the food is the same good quality. While it is right across from Factoria mall, the location may be a little hard to find if it's your first time, as it's behind another building. Parking isn't always easy either, perhaps you can park at the mall and walk over. Once inside there are the classic fish tanks at the front and large seating areas. Unfortunately it appears they no longer have the carts and instead you order via your phone (QR code that identifies your table) or with the wait staff. I personally loved the carts but seems a lot of places are going this route. As usual the food came out very quickly and tasted great. The prices and portions here are decent and Top Gun will remain in my top picks of dim sum restaurants in the area.

With all the new places to try it's been a while since we've been to Top Gun. Just as I recall - solid dim sum. Seemed fresh. Definitely tasty. Good portions. Da boss felt like chow mein so we ordered up at the house special chow mein - plenty of shrimp, bbq pork, squid and chicken and of course crunchy noodles with gravy. Topped it off with some dim sum - shrimp balls, siu mai and stuffed bean curd rolls. Plenty of food and we went away happy. Went in at a really goofy hour so we had our run of the place which is nice.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was expecting there to be a wait but we got seated pretty quickly. The overall vibe is typical of a dim sum restaurant. A bit chaotic but in a good way lol. Service was alright. We got our refills pretty quickly and the employees scooped the soups into our bowls for us. Food was great! Everything was flavorful and they came out rather quickly despite how many patrons were in the restaurant at the time. I'd come again.

The seasonal spotted shrimp is so good and a high recommend if they offer it. The seasonal fish was good, but had a lot of bones and was so tender almost to the point of being too much. Everything was very well seasoned and the greens were exceptionally fresh. The food is on the pricier side, but I believe it is well worth

I love my dim sum and was craving it while in Seattle. We checked this spot out that was supposedly a popular spot among the locals. We got the staples like the shrimp dumplings, shumai, spare ribs and egg tarts. The dumplings were massive! They were easily twice the size of normal ones and full of filling. In terms of flavor, I would say it was pretty good. Most things were decent, but nothing mind blowing. Good dim sum spot to start your day!

You could argue the food is "Top Gun", but the cleanliness is definitely bottom rung. Here's a picture of the bathroom. I shudder to think what the kitchen looks like if this is their customer facing effort of cleanliness. .

Do they do dim sum carts on Friday lunch?

They don't have carts anymore. You order off the menu

I called them 6 times in 2 days ordering to go .. NO one answered the phone...are they still in business?

They're still in business, but I am not sure why they're not answering the phone calls...

Do they do dim sum all day or a set time on the weekends?

Just called. Dim sum ends at 3pm.

R they open for dine in yet?

Yes they're open for dine in

    Do they take reservations?

No, get there when they open or expect to wait 20-40 minutes

When is the time for dimsum?

On the weekends....as soon as it opens. I suggest you get there at least 10 minutes before opening time to get a parking spot and to be seated for the first sitting. Gets really crowded fast

I don't need a chef wildly experimenting with my siu mai, or dabbling with my baked hom bow. My analysis of Sun Sui Wah, very nice interior, ok service, solid food. Was it a few dollars more than similar fare in Seattle, yes. But I also didn't have to drive to Seattle, not to mention put up with the street spectacle that now exists in the International District. Service : nonexistent Food: 9/10…read morePrice: standard but not worth for the horrible service. We spent about $600 for a party of 9. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

CHECK your bill here!!!!!!!!…read more We took our daughters from out of town for Sunday dim sum. Longtime family tradition!! And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

Then this time, the congee is absolutely tasteless and they gave us the wrong soy sauce for the shrimp rice rolls. Shrimp rice rolls usually come with a sweet soy sauce, but they always pack you a whole sauce container of regular soy sauce that you won't realize until you pour it over the rice rolls. Sure they might be more reliable if you're dining there; but please don't even bother ordering take out or delivery. It's funny because every time i order congee, it's because I'm so severely hungover and sick and am so desperate for some comfort food. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.
