#4 Beef Hot Soup
Sally N.

My all time favorite!!! I always order Beef Mild and a garlic pork belly!! Is have eaten here for years and hand down my number one choice for cold weather!!! Love love

#3 Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup
Kirsten R.

We waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once we placed our orders, the dishes came out quickly. Everyone in our party liked their hotpot's and the experience overall. The restaurant was able to accommodate our larger group of six relatively quickly as a walk in. Overall we were happy with this last minute choice.

Beef bowl + Assam Milk Tea

I came for lunch on a Friday and was seated right away. Service was fast and the restaurant is clean. My go to is the beef bowl. I like the addition of the corn and the fish cakes. The assam milk tea was also good --it wasn't too watery or milky, I got less sweet and it was perfect.

#4 Beef Hot Soup

I came here on my birthday so I got a free bowl of hot pot and a drink! This is one of the coolest birthday specials I've heard of, all you need to do is show your ID on the day of your bday. The hot pot was good, but I wish there was an option to make a dipping sauce and also customize a whole pot. The service was great, everyone was super attentive and kind.

Taiwanese spicy
Phuong D.

This is a good hotpot option in Chinatown. They have a lot of choices on the menu and price point is good for the amount of food! I got the Taiwanese spicy and that came packed with meat, seafood and vegetables. Unlike most restaurants in Seattle, spicy actually mean spicy here and coupled with the constant boiling, your spice and heat tolerant may be tested. The hotpot was big enough that I was only bale to finish half and pack the rest to go for another meal. The variety of ingredients packed in each hotpot is enough to keep my interest and the broth is very flavorful and full of umami. Overall a very satisfying meal and especially good for a rainy winter night. P.S. If you need parking just park at uwajimaya and buy $20 groceries to get validated parking for free.

#4 Beef Hot Soup

It's one of my favorite place to go in Chinatown when craving a hot and filling meal. It's located in the same complex as Uwajimaya with validated parking. There are different soup choices, I always end up going with beef hot soup since it's the perfect amount of spicy and umami flavor. You can choose to eat it with rice or vermicelli. I've also switched beef with lamb before. The place has comfortable seating. Service is okay. Sometime it takes a few tries to get the waiter/waitress attention, but overall still a good experience to eat here.

#5 Lamb Hot Soup
Kelly L.

Came here for a casual hotpot meal and ordered the lamb and beef options. Nice touch that they include beverages for free with the lunch set, but unfortunately the ingredients didn't feel very fresh (especially the meat). Flavors were okay overall, but not enough to make up for the quality. An okay spot if you're craving hotpot over all.

Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup & Beef Hot Soup

When in doubt, I will always choose to eat at Boiling Point if I can't decide where else to eat. However, this time around there have been a few new additions to their hot soup selection. Our group of four arrived a little after 3PM, which is the end of the lunch special and the start of dinner. There wasn't a waitlist of people this time around since it's an in between meal time, in my opinion. We were seated right away. It took a little longer than normal for a staff member to come by and take our order. A group that was seated after us ordered their food before us, which we thought was odd. I typically order the Beef Hot Soup, but decided to switch things up and order the Rose Milky Hot Soup. This includes cabbage, udon, sliced pork, fish fillet, corn, seafood mushroom, firm tofu, broccoli, Chinese string bean, tempura, imitation crab stick, shrimp, milk, and dried rose. The broth is AMAZING. Some of the inclusions aren't necessarily my go to choices like the broccoli and Chinese string bean, but I still happily ate everything. The Rose Milky Hot Soup is good, but I still prefer the Beef Hot Soup.

#3 Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup, Sweet Milk with pudding
Tracy H.

Came here for a free birthday meal + free drink, and everything tasted great! We shared the small Korean Bean Paste, with vermicelli and the Sweet Milk with pudding and boba. The portion was enough to fill us both up, and really hit the spot, The staff also were all sweet and very efficient, and they even gave us samples of this refreshing chia lemonade. Prices are a little steep (~$20+/pot), but I would definitely return again! The menu does have some nice deals for lunch, like a free drink with your meal.

I love eating at Boiling Point! Boiling point is a great place when you just want something soupy and warm in your stomach. There's a variety of soups available and they pair great with boba tea right in the restaurant. The portions are enough to fill me up and take a bit of the soup left home. They offer condiments to make your own dipping sauce. They give you little lime jelly packets after your meal as a refresher. The staff here have always been very nice. The parking here is free. Always left here with great experience!

Sweet Milk with Boba
Yin K.

Came here on a Tuesday night just around 7pm, got seated pretty much immediately even though it's almost a full house. Ordered the Seafood & Tofu pot and the sweet milk with boba. I love the drink with the mix of pudding and boba, but wished i asked for light caramel because it is overly sweet than refreshing. But that's just my preference. The Seafood & Tofu soup was great. Love how they have the lettuce on top, soft boiled egg, and some other seafood etc. condiments on the table for you if you wish to customize it further. All in all, experience was better than the last time and service was prompt!

Boiling Point is a staple restaurant to go to if you're looking for hot soup to warm you up. This particular location can get crowded in the evenings/weekend, so the wait can be quite long, but you can park in the uwajimaya parking lot and get your parking validated! I like to get the Taiwanese Spicy which only comes in the large size and share it with a friend. I also like the Beef and Korean style, but Taiwanese Spicy is definitely the best flavor by far. If you come for lunch, you also get free tea! You don't go to boiling point expecting the service to be exceptional for sure, but the food always hits the spot. Make sure you get onto their rewards system because for every $100 you spend you get $10 off! Also, you can get a free pot for your birthday!

Boiling Point is a popular hot pot restaurant in Seattle, favored by regular hot pot fan. I love having my own hot pot filled to the brims, and you can easily substitute or add more options. There's a tablet inside for you to enter your name and number, and be prepared to wait, which can range from 5 to 40 minutes depending on how busy they are. The hot pot arrives quickly and is served piping hot. You can also ask the staff to turn off the heat once it reaches your preferred boiling point. I've tried nearly all the soup options, but my favorites are #4 beef and #6 milk cream curry. Don't sleep their milk tea- it's really good! I once ordered 4 to go so I could stash them in the fridge for later loll. Will continue to come back :) ***REMEMBER TO VALIDATE YOUR PARKING TICKET!***

Is it possible to eat here with a dairy allergy?

Yes, just be sure to let them know your allergies! I believe the curry one has coconut milk (non-dairy) but not 100% sure. You should be okay with all of the dishes, if not all, most.

Do they validate parking?

Yes as long as you park in the Uwajimaya parking lot.

Im allergic to certain spices. What spices are used in the mild Beef hot soup?

Honestly don't know and I would t trust a response here for certain. If you are at risk of reaction then I would specifically ask the restaurant cooks (not general staff). Even if somebody knew the recipe could change. Staff don't sometimes… Read more

Anyone knows what kind of broth they use? Pork bone broth, beef bone broth, or both?

I didn't even remember where it was located but was intrigued when I learned it was in a micro-hood named Tanglewood. Salmon was very good, not dry but succulent; as well as the vegetables. The Hanger Steak was amazing. Almost everything was locally sourced and you can taste it. It all just seemed to work together in a uniquely Pacific Northwest kinda way. It's as though you were eating the outdoors. The owner met with us and gave us a history of the place, followed by his chef's cuisine philosophy. Just a really pleasant conversation. My only personal gripe is that some of the elevated presentations of the cuisine itself did not meld well with some of the rustic dishes; I think their presentation should appear slightly more 'nouvelle cuisine française' and less road-side diner in some dishes. Overall however, R Christine reminds me of the wonderful little hidden locovore spots throughout France that oftentime prove to be borderline Michelin star operations. This place is just like that, lovely.

Our server was very friendly and upbeat, which I appreciated, but the service ended up feeling a bit intrusive. We were checked on so often that it interrupted our conversation and made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. Everything we ordered was pretty bland and under-seasoned, with no real standout flavors. For the price, I expected a lot more. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good enough to justify a return visit. Unlikely to come back.

Walking in, the place has a really cozy vibe, but it's pretty small. Tables are close together and seating is limited. The lady who greeted us was super nice and recommended the fat sampler and the chicken and waffles, so we went with that. The food did take a little longer than expected, but honestly it was worth it. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was sooo good!! crispy, flavorful, everything you want. The only downside was the waffles, they were a bit thin and not crispy at all, like a pancake. I'm hoping that was just an off day. She also hyped up the honey butter biscuit since it's what they're known for, and I get why. It was SO good. Definitely the standout for me and something I'd come back for alone.

Honestly perfect. Pork chops were fried not smothered and were also delicious. Nothing was dry and it was all crispy. For sides we ordered Mac and cheese, yams, mash potatoes and rice & beans. Mash potatoes something tasted off about them. They were ok but not my preferred of the sides we got. The other sides were perfect, Mac and cheese is peppery but I liked that. Yams were sweet, nice tender chucks. Rice and beans were flavorful, not mushy. The pecan pie slice was phenomenal. Highly recommend trying this place for soul food.

I tell my non-Asian friends that they should leave an Asian restaurant if you don't see any Asians inside. I am happy to say we were the odd ducks in this place! Love me some legit soul food. The menu is straightforward. We ordered at the counter. The food is brought to our table. The food took quite a while with big crowds coming in after us. I suspect they cook in batches as multiple groups received food at the same time. It was mostly self-service (utensils, water) until the restaurant quieted down, then we saw servers cleaning tables, etc. The Food: Combo Dinner with two sides, $26 - 5 Stars The combo plat offers two meat choices. I chose the wings and catfish. The wings are sizable and plump. Highly recommend. The catfish was a thinner cut and a bit dryer. I liked the very thin breading on the catfish, not greasy, and it tasted good with Tabasco. For sides, both the collard greens and fried okra are excellent. In fact, I say the okra is perfection! The little corn bread is just right for me. I thought the corn bread has good flavor while hubby said it was too dry. Catfish Dinner with two sides, $24 - 3.5 Stars Hubby complained the catfish was too thin. He's not a Tabasco person, so that doesn't help. I gave him two wings to calm him down. Lol. He loved the hush puppies the best. They are huge with a wonderful crisp. I agree with him! He thought the yams are too sweet; they do look sweet in the liquids but isn't that want yams are intended to be? I think he just needs to order differently in the future. Note they have a 3.5% service charge for credit card purchases. See line on the menu photo.
