Brisket Sullungtang with white (wheat) noodles
Abby Y.

Jangan Sullungtang is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Noise level is fine and not too loud. The interior is pretty spacious and open. The service was good and polite! Servers checked with us and made sure we were enjoying our meal! The brisket sullungtang is great! Milky white bone broth with tender pieces of brisket and wheat noodles. Yum. If it's your first time, I recommended adding salt and pepper to your taste and adding in the green onions and red pepper paste if you want a little spice. Both of the kimchi were fresh and delicious! The handmade dumplings were very clean in flavor and to some people could be considered plain, but you dip it in the provided sauce or pair it with kimchi.

Hands down my favorite spot for Korean comfort food! Bellevue's Jangan keeps getting better every visit. * Must-Order: The Assorted Plate loaded with generous proteins. Paired with soju or somaek, it legitimately cures my homesickness--it's the exact quality and depth you'd get at a top-tier seollongtang spot in Korea. * The Banchan: Bellevue's kimchi and kkakdugi easily beat the Lynnwood location. On my last visit, the kkakdugi was the most decent I've had in the Seattle area recently - its tough to find decent kkakdugi or kimchi around seattle lately. * Drinks: So hyped they now serve soju, makgeolli, and beer - which they didn't on my first visit. Great service, great food, great ambiance. Jangan will be my goto from now on.

Got the combo sullungtang. Very flavorful soup. Like other sullungtang places, you can add salt, spice, and green onions to your liking. I wish they provided more variety of side dishes. There was only kimchi and radish kimchi, but they were both pretty good. I would come back here, especially as the weather gets colder.

We met up with my cousin and his family at Jangan Sullungtang for dinner. Jangan Sullungtang is located in a large plaza with PLENTY of parking. This is their 2nd location. The ambiance was modern, simple, and clean. I mean, I know they are new but it was very clean. The only thing was the floor could be slippery. The service was friendly, polite, and attentive. My wife ordered the Brisket Sullungtang and I went with the Mixed Sullungtang (Brisket, Tripe, & Tendon) (4/5). Table salt, black pepper, diced green onions are on each table to add to your soup should you choose. The brisket was thinly sliced, tender and soft. The tripe was ok. The tendon was delicious and creamy soft. I should have gotten just the tendon. The broth was comforting and nutritious. Handmade Steamed Dumplings - good flavorful meat filling (3/5). Support your local business.

The broth is pleasantly light and clean‑tasting, not heavy or greasy at all. It's mild on its own, so you can season it to your liking with salt, pepper and green onions at the table. The beef was tender, and the soup arrives piping hot. Great cozy comfort food for gray PNW weather. If you prefer bold, heavily‑seasoned soups, keep in mind this one is more subtle. It's exactly what I want for a warm, gentle meal. Would definitely come back on rainy days.

Husband and I came here for dinner last night. We had the mixed sullungtang and the brisket sullungtang. I had the mixed and it was fantastic! This is a great addition to the neighborhood!!! I'm sure I'll be back even more in the winter! The trick I think is to add the seasoning little by little and go all out with the scallions. I loved it you can control the saltiness and spicy level of your own bowl. Service was quick and we stayed there for sometime to chat and the servers were super nice to check on us for water and was never rushed.

Flavor: **** Service : *** Cleanness: **** Ambiance: **** Overall, it's a good place to come back to for seolleongtang. The soup has a pretty decent flavor--good, but not particularly memorable. I just wish there were a little more meat in the bowl. The dumplings were good as well, though again, nothing especially surprising. Overall, I'd say this is a pretty average spot. It's clean, the food tastes good, and I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving seolleongtang

Was very excited to hear about a new seolleongtang spot in Bellevue, so had to come and try. Came in on a warmer weekend evening, and it was quite packed. There was a wait list, but we were seated within 5 minutes. There's no AC, so it was a bit toasty, but the fans inside made it a bit more bearable. The interior is just one big open space so it feels a bit crowded. The chair/floor is suuuuuper slippery and slidey, so absolutely be careful sitting down and getting up. For food, I ordered the 6-piece mandu, and the brisket seolleongtang. Both came out very quickly. Mandu was soft, thin wrapper, flavorful filling. Solid appetizer, but nothing special. The seolleongtang is creamy, milky and rich. I like that you can choose between white or clear noodles. The soup itself was pretty good! However I think if you compare to Yi's, Yi's wins for me. Jangan's soup just doesn't have as deep of a flavor. It's still leaps and bounds better than other places that serve seolleongtang though. They give quite a good amount of meat as well. Overall, this absolutely hit the spot for me. I love that it's closer and more convenient than going to federal way for Yi's. You'll see me again! (As long as I don't feel like making the trek to fed way)

I really wish I can give a 4.5 for this place. 4 seems too low but I don't think it's a 5 yet. This place is pretty busy for lunch as all the tables were occupied. It was definitely bustling and feels busy but also homey at the same time. Parking was easy. Our waiter was calm though and explained to us everything that we needed to know. We got the mixed sullutang and an order of dumplings. It also came with some kimchi and radish. The soup was pretty bland but I think that is on purpose. You do your own seasoning. The meat was really tender. I hate tripe but the tripe in this was Soo tender that I ate them without cringing. The dumplings was smooth and juicy. My only critique was that I wish they gave us more noodles and skip the rice. Both the rice and noodles were good, I just felt it was very little noodle compare to the rice portion. Overall, I definitely will be back.

Beef Bone Soup w/ Banchan

Jangan Sullungtang is a solid spot for Korean beef bone soup in Bellevue as this new Eastgate restaurant is getting a ton of love from the locals. Glad to have another eatery, specializing in a dish that's not common around Bellevue. We visited Jangan Sullungtang on a Thursday night and the place was crowded. But for the three of us, we only had to wait 15 minutes, which wasn't bad. Despite how busy the place is, they do turn tables as fast as possible. Service was great. We all ordered the house special, the beef bone soup, and I had mine with brisket, which was delicious. I always recommend with this dish to try the broth first without anything added in - then add the salt, green onions and spices to your liking. Because the beef bone soup was simmered for hours with beef bones, the flavor was solid, especially with the tender brisket. I loved that they offered purple rice here with housemade kimchi and radishes. We also ordered the dumplings, which I recommend skipping. Let the soup be the star that it is. Overall, the food was good and we had a fun time trying this new restaurant in Eastgate, which is in need of better restaurants. I would come here again, especially on a rainy, gray day, which isn't hard to come by around these neck of the woods. I'm a fan.

- simply the best, tastes just like the Lynnwood branch - I was so excited that this place opened a store in Bellevue!!! My husband isn't a fan of driving, but he drove from Bellevue to Lynnwood for this more than 5 times! It took us so long to visit because my husband eventually learned how to make his own sullungtang (ox bone soup), and we just had it before they opened lol. We came here around 6pm on Wednesday, and there were 2-3 groups waiting. After 10 min, they got their seats and we became the first in line. We got our seats after about 15-20 min of wait, but it was still a good timing because there were so many groups waiting after 6:20 pm! On a weekday too! I am happy for their success though! The food were great, just like the Lynnwood branch. Their menu explained how to enjoy the soup by seasoning with salt, green onion, and optional spicy chili pepper paste/sauce. I normally skip the spicy paste and just dip the kimchi in the soup, so the soup becomes a bit spicy. Both noodles are good, but the crystal noodles is a bit less filling for me (and that is good as they also give you a bowl of rice). Their side dishes are amazing, and this is the second time that we ordered the small radish kimchi to go! You can ask for a refill as well. The ambiance is fine, they were playing kpop in the background like step back by GOT the beat or teddy bear by STAYC. It wasn't that loud, so you could still carry out conversations normally. [Kid stuff] - no change station in the restroom unfortunately - they have highchair, and they will put a sheet of plastic underneath for easy cleaning (this is smart!) - no baby utensils or plate was provided, luckily we always bring our own - my one-year-old is a big fan of their soup, but we didn't save enough soup for her. I think she was disappointed because she wanted more. [Off-topic] Someone in a Bellevue fb group predicted that this place won't do well since it's another noodle place. Apparently all the stores that opened at this particular spot didn't last. I believe he didn't know this is a SOUP restaurant or maybe he didn't even know what sullungtang is. I'm sure he is wrong.. anyways come early if you hate waiting in line! Ps. They don't have the seafood pancake here! Ps2. Only one restroom per gender, which means you might have to wait for a while...

Jangan Sullungtang's Bellevue location absolutely lives up to the original Lynnwood shop. If you're a fan of comforting Korean beef bone soup, you'll be happy to know the quality is just as good. There's plenty of parking in the Eastgate Plaza. We ordered dine in and take out. The service was incredibly fast. They even asked whether we wanted the soup packed hot or cold. We chose cold, and the broth had that rich, glutinous texture that tells you it's been simmered with tons of beef bones for hours. Once reheated, it was rich, clean, and deeply beefy without feeling greasy. The meat was tender, the portions were generous, and every bite was satisfying. For dine in, we ordered the mixed sullungtang and the steamed dumplings, and both were excellent. The dumplings were plump and flavorful, making the perfect side to the soup. The banchan (kimchi and radish) was fresh and delicious. They're so good that the restaurant even sells them to go, which says a lot. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, Jangan Sullungtang delivers comforting, high-quality food with quick, friendly service. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm craving a great bowl of sullungtang.

Happy to have good sullungtang on the eastside. Overall solid flavors and service. Food: I had the mixed sullungtang which came with brisket, tongue, and tripe. I also chose to have glass noodles (you can choose between glass or white noodles upon ordering). The soup came with a good amount of each protein and had the trademark sullungtang collagen richness and clean flavor profile. On the table is also coarse sea salt and black pepper which you can add to your soup. Also served to the table was purple rice, radish kimchi, and napa kimchi. Of the 2 banchans, the radish kimchi was the star. Service/Ambiance: We came at 1pm on a Sunday and it was extremely busy. We ended up waiting around an hour for a table for 4 people. The inside of the restaurant is large, but the tables are pretty close to one another. Service was quick and I appreciated that our server came around proactively asking if we needed anything (banchan refill or to-go boxes). One thing about the menu is that it's pretty small, there aren't any other soup options like galbitang. Parking wise, there is lots of parking in the area. Price: Each sullungtang was $19-$20 which I think is pretty standard in 2026

There's also a ton of beef and veggies inside, and got noodles for this dish. Noodles themselves were al dente and fresh. Friend and I also shared a side of fried dumplings, which came out very hot and didn't really need the sauce provided on our table, as everything already had enough taste. Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating.
