At one point a gentlemen innocently walked in through the back door and she yelled at him "claiming it was an exit only and next time he should use the front entrance". I had their signature coffee "The Best Drink Ever." It is a classic americano with vanilla cream. The drink itself was good, however if you get it hot, then it becomes the "The Hottest Drink Ever." The drink was smoldering and extremely hot, that it was double cupped and it still hurt to hold with the coffee sleeve. I had to wait about 30 minutes before I could safely sip the drink and potentially burn my tongue. When it cooled the coffee was good, but not sure if it matches the copyright for Best Drink Ever. My friend had the iced version and didn't have the best experience ever. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and it is very compliant with COVID regulations. If you really want a better buzz from your coffee, order the Killer Bee from here. I had about half of one before I felt like a positively contributing member of society that was addicted to crack. I have a pretty high caffeine tolerance, but I can't really recall another coffee that made me feel like I was actually on something. It really is a Better Buzz. These guys know what they're doing at this point. There's a handful of locations across SD, and they've grown to this scale in only about a decade so. Regardless of which location I've visited the staff is always super friendly and efficient. I honestly can't think of a time I've had bad service off the 101, so it's pretty clear they're good at picking personnel. Encinitas has a coffee shop on every corner, but it's tough for me not to put this one towards the top of the list. Try it and I think you'll agree. read more

The drink menu is against the wall on the left. But also have small menus you can look at. Service was nice, they can get super busy here, it is usually packed and while they do have plenty of seating it is still hard to get a spot so I always take it to go. Nice variety of hot, iced and blended options, I am partial to the blended as it is the most filling, a meal really. All of the drinks are fantastic here though my absolute favorite is hands down the mint mocha, such a refreshing combo, once I tried it for the first time I was hooked and have had it every time since. I have always wondered what the big deal is with Better Buzz. Not only why there is more than one in SD, but also why the one in Encinitas seems to be popular on a Sunday. After several visits I think the coffee quality is not up to par like the nearby Philz nor the best coffee in San Diego -- Lofty coffee. Because I got tired trying to find a nice cup of coffee or espresso from this place, one day I opted for their protein smoothie. So I found out about Better Buzz Coffee a couple years ago from my sister when we to the Fashion Valley Mall, ever since I tried the Best Drink Ever Iced I was hooked. Everytime I come down to San Diego from LA I ALWAYS come this location to pick up a Large iced Best Drink Ever so I can have something to drive for the rest of my drive down. It's seriously is the best and so far the only thing I have had from Better Buzz I'm not going to lie the last couple times I went there the line was long and they were using a system that literally took forever to order. They had one girl take your order and another person taking your payment so it took like 20 mins to order my one drink. At the end of the day we ate all human and go through stress or trauma but this little Asian girl with tattoos proceeded to talk to us in a demanding,belittling tone because I did not like my chai coffee and wanted to change it. She continued to roll her eyes and after all of this as my elderly friend noticed her horrible projection onto us handed her a tip for the "extra" effort, and she continued to ignore her and not even say thank you. I had never been to a Better Buzz before and they did not disappoint! Parking wasn't impossible but, being on PCH, we did hunt a minute or two for street parking. It was busy (buzzing, if you will) but no line to order in person. The baristas were really friendly and down to earth. I got my keto friendly drink first and as we waited for my husband's drink, the barista who made mine told me they weren't 100% sure they used one of the right ingredients. Rather than guess, they remade my drink which was a HUGE plus to me because if my drink wasn't keto made it would throw off my diet. It made a big impression on me that rather than shrug it off and hope the drink was right, they were honest and made sure I got what I ordered. That kind of integrity made me appreciate this brand big time. The drink - DELICIOUS! If you're on the keto diet, it's a great sweet drink to break up monotonous meals. The lavender syrup is sweet without being too overpowering, and the hemp milk was very creamy. The lavender was honestly a bit too sweet for me, so I'll definitely order it less sweet next time. My friend ordered the iced honey latte. She got it 3/4ths sweet, which was the perfect amount of sweetness. I thought the coffee was a bit strong, but she really liked it. There's a lot of street parking around the coffee shop, but it can be hard to snag a spot on the weekends. I ended up parking on a nearby street and walking over. I really liked the ambiance and the open windows, but there were a lot of flies buzzing around. I wish they would do something about it, but I guess it goes with their name? The store is bustling, and it was difficult to have a conversation there, but the turnover is quick and you can definitely take your drink to walk along the beach or check out the shops on the same street. When I tried to call about the order they were not taking messages. "The mailbox you called is full and is not taking messages."
