Ravioli, homemade rosemary marinara pasta, homemade focaccia

Amazing homemade pasta and absolutely delicious homemade focaccia with 12 year aged balsamic Fantastic hospitality -- even brought out a doggy water bowl for our pup as we sat on the patio Really cool Italian countryside vibes inside!

Hard to find fresh pasta in north county but this recently opened and we had to check it out. Half market / half restaurant, it's got a good vibe. You order at the counter and the pasta rotation adjusts weekly. Campanelle - loved the almond to add a nice textural element. The sauce was wonderful and very fresh. Pappardelle - meat was a little chewy (maybe it's a fresh grind and a tougher cut?) and my wife thought the sauce was a little salty, which meant more for me! Meatball - tender but pricey for $14. The fresh red sauce was wonderful.

We drove all the way out here from East County to enjoy Italian cooking. It's really cheap little spot in a shopping store. Step inside and be transported and enjoy watching pasta in. We came for a special celebration as my parents 64th wedding anniversary. Mom loves pasta so she was excited to see how it was made and get some tips from the tree. We didn't quite get the text but we did enjoy seeing some of the process. I had the spinach lasagna without the meat sauce. Sauce was nice and tomatoey and tangy! It was good, especially if you love the noodles as they are stacked. Dad enjoyed the spinach and cheese ravioli. And mom enjoyed her dish. Al dente was a little hard, perhaps needed just a little longer to cook. Bolognese sauce was the right consistency for the pasta, nice and rich, just a little salty but otherwise good. Overall the presentations were excellent and you taste the magic ingredient of love. Glad we had an opportunity to try it out!

The dish! Pappadelli bolognese. (Sp?) soooo good with the focaccia!!!

Thank you, Yelp, this was perhaps the best pasta I've had since my time in Rome. And that says a lot. You walk in and you immediately feel like you're gonna walk out with a meal that you will love. Will and his staff took such great care of me. They took me through the menu. They took me through their process. They showed me every product and I just fell in love. I took it home. I put it on our plates. I warmed it up and then of course had to have the focaccia bread which was spectacular with the pasta dish they recommended and loved it. Paired with a lovely Italian red wine. It was truly like being in Italy again and that's a big statement. Thank you Yelp.

Attractive restaurant front, in a diverse shopping center. We were a little confused at the start; one orders at the register (the menu board is visible above their pasta display case); orders are then delivered to the table. Impressively, complimentary water, in chilled water carafes (complete with attractive, thick-walled, chilled water glasses) is self-serve, available at the bottom of the refrigerator at the back of the shop. We support others' reviews, must order their Fresh Baked Focaccia ($3), served warm, with a delightfully delicate, crispy exterior and light-&-airy interior, with subtle detectable flavors of rosemary and salt. A bottle of olive oil is available on the individual tables. Hubby loved his order of Pappardelle ($24), with its broad, flat ribbons cooked al dente, topped with a satisfyingly savory combination of beef and pork bolognese, and shaved Pecorino Romano. I enjoyed my Spinach Ravioli ($15), pleasantly plump; their tightly sealed edges held their creamy ricotta filling, pairing nicely with its oregano and butter sauce, topped with toasted crumbs with the most delightful crunch. We finished off with their Ricotta Cannoli ($12) -- excited to be given the option to have both pistachio & chocolate; unless I'm mistaken, the filling appeared to be all pistachio, with chopped pistachios on one end and chocolate chips on the other. The crispy shell surrounded a luscious, appreciatively not-too-sweet pistachio cream filling. We were fortunate to find a table in the shade, which the friendly staff wanted to make sure was wiped clean for us. Upon tapping my credit card, it had skipped the option to tip; I was informed that they don't accept tips; instead, they ask if we enjoy our experience, to share the word with others. I'm doing just that, encouraging you to visit and experience it for yourself! We will most certainly return when in the area -- the only aspect that would complete the dining experience is being able to enjoy our entrees with a glass (or more) of wine. Fabulous find!

I first went to pastaria Vivi about two weeks ago because I've been reading the rave reviews and all the publicity surrounding the restaurant. It's really well decorated and beautiful inside. It feels like you are in a foreign country. They have dishes, olive oil's, and all kinds of different condiments for sale. It would be nice to make a gift basket out of these items. When I was leaving that first time, a woman stopped me outside and asked me had I eaten there yet? When I told her I had not, and that I was just looking, she said that she's been coming since it opened and she can't get enough. In fact, she said that it was her second time there that day for her second meal there. That's quite a testament. I knew I was coming back anyways, but that sealed the deal. Fast-forward to this week, I decided to meet a friend for lunch here. I arrived a little before my friend and they had a beautiful olive oil tasting set up out front. A small piece of focaccia with a little bit of olive oil. on each piece. There were three different quality levels of the olive oils and I tasted each one. My favorite was a little bit spicy at the end. They were very good. When I went inside, I was greeted by a very, very nice young girl who talked to me through the menu and sauces and antipasto's. She explained to me that the menu items now were just to start as the business gets running, but that there will be more additions and specials as they get more comfortable and continue to grow. When my friend arrived, we both were ready to order. I asked the girl what her favorite was and she said the ravioli so I got that. My friend ordered the Bolognese and we split focaccia. We found a nice table outside. There was olive oil on the table to dip the focaccia that we got into. The focaccia was very flavorful and delicious. We waited a little bit for our pasta and chatted while doing so. The music was a bit too loud and it was kind of hard to hear each other. When our pastas arrived, they were placed in front of us and they looked amazing. Unfortunately, they were just barely warm. We were both hungry so we didn't want to send them back. I loved the flavor of spinach ravioli, and the sauce the breadcrumb crunch on top was so good, I just wish it was hot. The Bolognese was very flavorful, but we both agreed it could've used a touch of salt and also would've been better hot. I can't wait to try other things. I know they are new so I'm sure that we just experienced a little hiccup the flavors were there the execution just needed a little bit of help. I'm giving 3.5 star but I am very confident it will go up with my next visit.

This is the place! A few items rotate on the menu each week. I went for the spinach ravioli with minced garlic. A perfect dish to dip a side of focaccia bread. Yelp, thanks WOW! The beverage I chose was the apple juice in a can. It was the best apple juice I have ever tasted. I also ordered the chocolate cannoli. More Yelp, thanks, WOW! There is a community table inside and individual tables on the outside patio. The market of items inside is quaint and diverse. The owner oversees and checks on customers. The most Yelp, thanks, WOW. Took home a loaf of focaccia, grab it while you can, Note: They have a monthly box, become a member. Approx. $65 per month. #PastariaViVi #Encinitas #Focaccia #YelpthanksWOW

This is a such a great addition to our community! Pastraria Vivi is a new pasta marketplace and restaurant. They have fresh homemade pastas for taking home or enjoying in house. They also have oils and other things for sale. They didn't have their license to sell alcohol yet but said they are working on it to have wine. I had ravioli which were delicious, a meatball and focaccia bread which was outstanding! I'd love to go back to buy some fresh pasta & sauce to take home to make! Also based on a conversation with one of the members of the staff, they will rotate pastas on a monthly basis.

Went on 2nd day of opening at noon. This casual dining spot feels like your local Italian shop that sells both lunch and some Italian imports. The display of goods were thoughtfully excecuted. Space can feel a little tight inside with people waiting for pick up, shopping, and dining. Patio dining is available. The wait wasn't long at all as the line moved quickly. Staff worked efficiently and professionally with all the commotion as if they've done this for a long time; very impressive. The open kitchen concept look was also very clean and sleek. I got the pappardelle with bolognese and a loaf of focaccia (not pictured). The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was slightly under seasoned. I loved that they used freshly grated cheese. The freshly baked focaccia ($5.50; wrapped to-go) was delicious; could've eaten the whole thing as it was definitely one of the best ones I've had in awhile. Both the rosemary and olive oil in the bread were subtle and lightly salted; the texture was as fluffy and soft as a pillow. Don't skip the focaccia if it's your first time here!! Definitely coming back to this spot and give the pappardelle another shot!

Always love it here! They do an amazing garlic compound butter and a fantastic fresh burrata. They also have the best cannolis I've found in this area. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for some solid Italian food. The restaurant is so cute and the staff is always super friendly and willing to chat.

Cannot wait to go back! 10/10 across the board Such a gorgeous little pasta shop tucked in by the Gap and Trader Joe's. The offerings as you make it to the counter are absolutely delicious and not to be missed. We came to try the pasta but it's easy to remember this is a little Italian market at its heart - with amazing curated oils, olive wood items, Italian chips and snacks throughout. Our party of 4 are all vegetarians (infant included) and everything was sold out pasta wise except for the bucatini and honestly I'm grateful given that it was delicious. We got three bucatini, 2 focaccia and 2 cannolis. Absolutely divine. When it came to the pasta itself and the focaccia I'd describe them as pillowy soft. Delicious tasting but truly just so soft - hard to describe. As we were eating it I was already missing it. They moved quickly, the food was fresh and it was wonderful to watch them preparing all of the fresh pastas behind the counter. Can't wait to come back

I had an amazing lunch here! They have items that you can take home and even a monthly subscription for olive oil. They make their olive oil at their ranch in Fresno, I believe. You can see them making pasta in house. Each week their menu changes. I ordered: *Ravioli ($15): this was absolutely delicious and fresh. It was the perfect serving size for one person without feeling stuffed after your meal. It had a delicious flavor and was stuffed with spinach and ricotta. *Focaccia ($3): the bread is fresh and warm. It's absolutely delicious as well! You can't beat that price. *Cannoli: you can get either chocolate or pistachio. I got the pistachio. It has quite a bit of cinnamon in it, so if you're not a fan of cinnamon, I'd recommend the chocolate instead. It was very fresh, light, and delicious. They were giving complimentary samples of bread with their three different olive oils out front. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, although the sun was right in my face, so I chose to sit inside. The indoor seating is set up like a community farmhouse table, or you can sit at the bar and watch them making pasta. It took less than 10 minutes for our meal to be brought to us. They had someone come by to clear our plates, and once they saw we were finished with lunch, they brought out dessert. The service was excellent. You can't beat these prices. Everything was fresh and made in house. Honestly, this is a place you need to stop by and try.

My husband and I came here for lunch and the level of detail and intention in this market/restaurant made the overall ambiance like no other. The service is also wonderful, you can tell that the owner and the staff genuinely put their heart into the food and providing a one of a kind customer experience. We had the pappardelle, fresh baked focaccia, and ravioli and all were fantastic. We ultimately came here for the pasta, which was also incredible, but the fresh baked focaccia was unparalleled and I'll be dreaming of it until we return. We will definitely be back and will hopefully save room for dessert next time (the tiramisu and cannoli looked amazing), we are thrilled with the addition of the gem in North County SD. HIGHLY recommend!

We had two pasta dishes. The pasta was good but they are very very small portions - five medium ravioli for $15.99.

Then I ordered (one quantity) of Baked Ziti it is filled with (Italian Sausage, Marinara Sauce, Penne Pasta, and Mozzarella Cheese) used for the topping. The price was $12.99. Then I ordered the Caesar Salad. The Price was $5.99 and I added the (Grilled Chicken Meat) the cost $2.00 extra. This Caesar Salad included (2 small containers) of the Italian dressing. Then for my dessert I ordered (one quantity) of the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie it includes the Lemon Zest with the Tart Lemon Icing that is drizzled on top of the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie. The Price is $3.00. The subtotal was $21.98. I was able to eat the Blueberry and Lemon Hand Pie this afternoon. The Blueberries were sweet and delicious! The Lemon zest with the Lemon icing was a flavorful combination with the Blueberry hand pie. It was a nice refreshing treat after I ate the Baked Ziti today for my lunch time. There was NO CHARGE on the (home delivery fee) which it would usually cost me $6.99 it is almost $7.00. This FREE Delivery Charge made me happy today! The total amount of the bill is $26.21. I was charged the Dasher Delivery Driver Fee of $5.00 on my credit card account today. This bill is separate from the restaurant bill that is paid directly to the Dasher Delivery Driver Daniela D. The Grand Total came up to $31.21. This bag was sealed for Safety Reasons due Covid-19, when I received my Food Order at my front door. Then I unpacked all of the Food that I had ordered today. The Baked Ziti container was HUGE. I received a very generous portion of this Baked Ziti dish in the container. I placed (one scoop) of Baked Ziti on a large plate and then I heated up this Baked Ziti in the microwave oven for a few minutes. This Baked Ziti came with one garlic bread stick. I took bites of this Baked Ziti and it was very delicious! This Baked Ziti included the (Italian Sausage, Marinara Sauce and the Penne Pasta). The Garlic Bread Stick was very flavorful with the garlic on it and the bread stick was soft and chewy. I took half of the Caesar Salad with the Grilled Chicken Meat on top of this salad with crunchy Croutons, Mozzarella Cheese, and the Italian Dressing. The Grilled Chicken Meat was very tender and delicious. The Caesar Salad was delicious with the Italian Dressing. I still have more than half of the container of the Baked Ziti dish left over in the container to eat later tonight for my dinner meal. I was TOO FULL to eat my Dessert which is the Blueberry/Lemon Hand Pie. I love the combination of the Blueberry Pie with the Lemon Zest and the Lemon drizzled icing on top of this Blueberry Hand Pie. I also love Italian Cuisine!. I would highly recommend ordering this (Italian Food) on their menu from this Maggiano's Italian Classics Restaurant. Their Baked Ziti with the Caesar Salad was really good. I received a generous large size container of the Baked Ziti and also a large size portion of the Caesar Salad. I also received (excellent customer service) from the Door Dash.com Home Delivery Service today as I always do and I am very satisfied with the Door Dash.com Delivery Drivers. These drivers are always very friendly and polite to me when they drop off my food orders. I highly recommend Maggiano's Italian Classics Restaurant. They have really delicious Italian Food.

This was a very bad situation... The lack of care taken was evident due to these guys screwing up…read moreeven the most basic things. Where do I start? The Spaghetti & Meatball w/ Marinara was no better than one you would find at a church potluck dinner. The marinara lacked flavor and was possibly out of a can due to the separation of water and tomato sauce in the corner of the dish. Furthermore, the meatball had a strange consistency. It was like a Chef-Boyardee meatball, so it was clearly not worth the price. The breadsticks were stale as well... How is this possible? Is the bread being stored in paper bags overnight in the refrigerator? This could have been out of the package from Food 4 Less on the discounted stale bread rack. To top it all off, the House Salad was so horrid, with wilted brown lettuce, day old tomatoes, and red onions that were turning white and chalky around the edges. The salad was thrown together in haste and looked like the worst salad that I have ever laid eyes on. If I would have knocked on any random door in the neighborhood, I probably would have gotten a better salad. Unfortunately, the creamy balsamic dressing was the only good thing about the meal, but that probably was not made in-house either.
