Staff is friendly and great service too. Be sure to sit in outdoor area in the back which is very pleasant and surrounded by tall trees -- nicer with a shady spot, or one with good table umbrella coverage. By the way, you can buy a 12 oz container of salsa if they have enough for around $8. This place serves mediocre, flavorless food, but at least you feel healthy. Food: 2/5 Visually, the food looks great! But some things are dry, and you can really taste the carbs. We ordered the Bacon Avocado Toast and the Steak Medallion Tacos. The avocado was not ripe but edible. The steak and rosemary potatoes were dry. The toast slice is so thick that I couldn't bite and I could taste nothing but bread. The taco tortilla dominates all other flavors. It's not the worst place I've ever eaten at, but I wouldn't come back here for the food. Service: 4/5 Our server was very friendly and attentive! We were checked on a reasonable amount of times. Modifications are welcomed and honored. Atmosphere: 3.5/5 There is a cute patio area behind the restaurant. I was meeting a friend for a walk and picnic on the beach and didn't feel like cooking or preparing anything. Naked Cafe was on my way, so I did what was easiest and what I hadn't done before: I placed my order through Naked Cafe's website and picked it up. The entire experience was super-smooth and exceeded my expectations. There are so many wonderful options on the menu that the only challenging aspect of this experience was deciding what to order. I landed on the Golden Goddess Salad, which I hadn't tried before. Ingredients: mixed greens, sliced almonds, crumbled feta, diced mango, green onion, tomato, golden raisins, and pomegranate vinaigrette. Ordering was, for the most part, a simple check-the-box experience. I paid via Apple Pay and immediately received an order confirmation via email. My order was estimated to be ready for pickup within about 20 minutes. Less than 15 minutes later, I received a text that my order was likely ready. When I arrived, my order was ready and waiting, and the server who brought it to me made sure that napkins and utensils were in the bag. My friend and I took a nice long walk on the sand before we had lunch. When we settled down in our chairs to eat and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean spread in front of us, I wondered if the greens in my Golden Goddess Salad had wilted in the box. I was very pleased to see that everything held up well, which might have been because the weather was cooler and because the salad was served with the vinaigrette in a little container on the side rather than already mixed into the salad. The salad was colorful and flavorful. I loved it and I'd order it again. Yum!! I don't know how I JUST came across Naked Cafe in Encinitas - I have been missing out! Great selection of breakfast/brunch items and a fun coffee/tea menu. The inside is cute too and staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the Yin & Yang bowl + the Bacon Avocado toast with potatoes and both were an A+. I enjoyed them both but would happily branch out to try something else since so many other menu items looked good. Definitely worth a visit when in Encinitas. The location is unassuming but in a popular strip mall. Parking is easy and it wasn't busy when I visited on a weekday morning. When I lived here in Cardiff and Encinitas, I used to eat here all the time. I wish there was one in Seal Beach or Long Beach! And when I lived in Hawaii, that's where it definitely is needed! Who would've thought brown rice and veggies could ever make a great combo as a meal that you would pay for lol however, their sauces and mixtures and flavors really make their entrées so tasty... To the point that I always crave eating here. Flash forward, I'm in town visiting and as always, I stop in to order my favorite meal, the Dual Goddess, of course with extra peanut sauce on the side. It has zucchinis, brown rice, broccoli, carrots, and then small bite-sized (Note I said bite-size not big chunks) of ginger marinated steak and chicken. Dishes like these tend to have their protein cut so that you have to use a knife to cut them into smaller pieces... Not here! The flavors are so good and then add the peanut sauce... Chef's kiss! The cherry on top of my experience is the service. My server, Brittney, was so warm, friendly, and welcoming. She had a few tables ahead of me but acknowledged my presence so that I knew she would be with me when she had a chance. She was very accommodating and helpful in her recommendations... I ordered the pistachio latte, one of their summer specials, 10 out of 10! I ordered it hot. It was so delicious and they added a little sprinkle of Matcha on top. I am not a Matcha fan... At least not an entire cup of it. But sprinkled on top was perfect. It brought out the pistachio flavor yet offset it so it wasn't too heavy on pistachio! Everything was fabulous... Even down to the food runner, Reese. He was so friendly and efficient... This place is a 10 out of 10 and I will continue to come back and support this local business. A locals favorite serving healthy and environmentally conscious breakfast, lunch, and handcrafted beverages. I found myself in this plaza and just needed an afternoon pick me up so I treated myself to a naked matcha latte. This drink ended up being one of the best matchas I've ever had and I couldn't stop staring at the beautiful palm tree latte art that was made out of cinnamon. My server was Sophie and everyone dining that day knows her. Clearly a favorite with all the locals. She brought me over a slice of their chocolate pumpkin loaf and said it was on the house. So sweet! I took it with me and enjoyed it at the beach later that day and again it ended up being one of the best loafs I've ever tried. Very moist, flavorful, and super chocolaty. Stopped by for some brunch with friends! While the food was okay, the service was quite slow and they did not check on us to fill our waters or pay the check which was a bit bizarre. I got the yin and yang bowl which was alright, the top layer that had the jalapeños and sour cream was good but the rest of it lacked flavor and really tasted of potatoes and beans. However I liked that it came with a fresh tortilla. My boyfriend got the huevos rancheros and seemed to have the same problem with his food lacking any seasoning and flavor. Our friends seemed to enjoy their food and coffees. Overall we loved the various food options but the lack of flavor and poor service made the experience a bit weird. The workers didn't seem particularly socialable and again, they never checked on us so we were left with empty waters and waited for a significant time to pay our bill. Hubby and I ordered the crunchy burritos and substituted the egg for tofu. I also ordered a side of the vegan coconut French toast which was pretty delicious. The burritos were good but small. I was glad I had ordered the side of vegan French toast. Hubby; however, felt the burritos were pretty small and still felt hungry. They came with a side of black beans and a small dollop of fried potatoes. My daughter had the kids vegan pancake and it was shaped like Mickey Mouse and came with a side of fruit. We also had a mocha latte with oat milk, sans the whip. It came with a few chocolate chips on the side but I'd didn't ask if they were vegan or not so we didn't consume them. I came by this place while on the way to Carlsbad on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy at 11:45ish, which is usual lunch/late brunch rush. I got the Blue Planet latte, though I should've gotten the Ocean Blue latte, because espresso is a bit much for me. However it was so cute with the lil cinnamon bow! Very smooth too. My boyfriend got the Chagaccino and he was so excited to taste mushroom liquid. Unluckily for him? it tastes exactly like coffee! But that's so innovative, I love it! Delicious all the same. He also got the Crispy Burrito and it's crispy indeed. The cilantro was an odd garnish? I am not a fan unless it's incorporated and hidden. It has vegan sausage and egg, pretty filling along with the side of black beans. I chose the Pesto Chicken Wrap because I'm a sucker for sun dried tomatoes and pesto. I didn't get too much pesto flavor though since I do like my stuff drowning in sauce. The interior is very cute, quite San Diegan, and very open and bright. The wall decor is also for sale! This place is a bit more expensive due to its whole ingredients but you get what you pay for. read more

This place needs more staffing. Especially for the servers. Because honestly at first I was annoyed but after we just felt bad. And if it was communicated to us the reason everyone was so behind I believe it would've made the process more understandable in the moment. Me and my friends waited over 30 minutes for waters where my friend had to go up and ask. She ordered a coffee and got it 40ish minuets later with her food. We've never had issue with this chain. My friend is a server and was trying to be on her side for the first half but then it got to a point where it was just like ... it's not even worth it. Ambiance had much potential! Very cute! I love this place! I started coming here daily for Chagaccinos, not only because they're delicious but because the staff are so friendly and kind. Jade, Sophie, Patrick, Hanna and Lauren know how to provide excellent service! I love hanging on the back patio when I need a nice atmosphere to work and eat. I always get the gluten free fuzzy monkey pancakes and their rainbow salad with sesame ginger chicken. my boyfriend and I usually split these two meals for brunch, SO filling and delicious.
