    Dark roast organic black coffee
    Jeremy C.

Great spot. Organic coffee. I had the dark roast organic hot coffee. Our kid had an iced steamer with strawberry.

Chocolate banana mocha frap - A hand with dark red nail polish holds a plastic cup of chocolate banana mocha frappuccino topped with whipped cream and a black straw. The cup has a paper sleeve with coffee cup illustrations. In the background, a coffee shop named Jungle Java is visible with a sign, outdoor menu board, and parking lot. The sky is partly cloudy, and the scene suggests a casual outdoor setting.

So glad I gave this little coffee shop a shot! I was in the neighborhood and I just needed a little pick me up and it was hot so this came in handy! The drink was SO great! The banana wasn't too overpowering and it was quite refreshing. Service was nice and fast! I'll be back when I'm in town!

Mexi mocha, with sediment on the bottom - A hand grips a clear plastic cup containing iced coffee with visible sediment settled at the bottom. The background shows an outdoor setting with a sidewalk, some trees, and a parked car, indicating daytime. The cup has a green band and a lid with a straw hole, and the coffee appears to be light brown with a darker layer at the bottom.

Decided to give this place another go, and I'm happy I did. The experience was much better than my last visit here and the drink was 100 percent better as well. I got the banana bread latte at the recommendation of the barista and it was really yummy and it was a good price 5.90 for an iced large drink. The drink is made with banana syrup, brown sugar syrup 3 shots and whole milk, the banana was pretty strong but it worked well with the brown sugar. The baristas were also really welcoming and chatty this time.

I stopped by Lil Jungle Java today after having a really rough morning, and I'm so glad I did. I don't usually go out much, but I needed a little pick-me-up, and this place truly lifted my spirits. The woman working there was SO kind, she took the time to walk me through the whole menu and even brought out all the pastries to explain each one to me. Her patience and warmth made me feel so welcome. There's not seating, but they do have a walk up window for those without cars. It wasn't just about the coffee (which was delicious, by the way)... it was the genuine kindness that turned my whole day around. You can tell they really care about their customers here. I left feeling lighter and happier than when I walked in. If you're ever in Encinitas and need good coffee, great pastries, and a reminder that there are still kind people in the world, definitely stop by Lil Jungle Java.

Outside window - A coffee shop window displays multiple stickers and signs, including an 'OPEN' sign and a cartoon character holding a coffee cup. The window has a black frame, and there is a small sign advertising reusable cups and drink sizes. The sky above is clear with some wispy clouds, and part of the building exterior, including a trash can and a yellow post, is visible outside.

I've been here a few times rain or shine and I'm happy with everything I've tried. They have a full coffee bar with a variety of sweeteners, syrups, sugar free options, and non-dairy alternatives. The coffee shop itself is quaint and simple. The service is very fast and the workers are always so sweet! I love that there's a local business with a drive thru, super convenient. Their drinks are pretty affordable as well considering the area and location. I would visit any time I'm in Encinitas.

24 Oz latte and baked goods!

The friendliest faces you could meet at the crack of dawn! Incredible prices and the largest lattes!! 24oz for $6.50!! Got the pull apart cinnamon muffin and the gluten free lemon poppyseed baked fresh daily. Total local Encinitas beachy feel with this drive up coffee hut! I'll be visiting it all week while I'm in town!

Banana bread latte - A hand is holding a cold coffee beverage in a clear plastic cup with a pink straw, inside a car. The cup has a cardboard sleeve, and the background shows a parking lot with cars and trees under a cloudy sky.

I do my best to find places that have menu items in place that work already. In this case, I was visiting the area briefly and spotted this local favorite. Great find! Kick-ass staff working their butts off to get food out fast and to order, decent seating, good food and coffee that was a treat! I started across the street at this venue's roasting house because their locale looked nicer, more spacious, further from the road, but their breakfast menu is different. Rather than asking for special treatment there, I walked across the street to the corner café. The only change-up I had to make was swapping out bread for GF. No problem whatsoever. Was going to read, but locals were friendly and social, fine by me. Learned about the area over breakfast, got a little peaceful reading in over the last of my coffee, and now I'm off to adventure as recommended by locals I met here. Though they weren't chatty (No shade! Fine! They're at work!), I can't commend the staff here enough. Tip well. Tip often.

The drink itself is delicious, but not sure if I would come every week for this price (personally). Maybe just once in a while! The interior space got revamped so that the workers have more wiggle room, that was cool to see. I didn't see much else that changed though-- oh besides that and the prices. The week before, I ordered the $7.25 Iced Blood Orange Basil Latte (seasonal special). I was eager to try it because I do enjoy citrus notes with my coffee. But this one lacked the flavors I was hoping to taste. It was all too subtle for me. I wouldn't order it again, but it was nice to try. 4-5 stars! Overall, I've enjoyed my many visits to 7 Seas Roasting & been here through many changes. I do think the coffee drinks are pretty solid and would recommend checking out their seasonal specials when they have them. My top favorites would be: dark mocha raspberry, banana split latte, and the thin mint latte. If you ever see these on the menu, I highly recommend trying them! They have ample seating, outdoors only. The baristas are alll very kind too. It's a great place to spend your time at.

When my food arrived, the bagel had visible mold on it. It was very concerning that this wasn't caught before being served. I brought it to the attention of the staff member who delivered the food. Instead of taking the plate back and replacing the meal, he simply removed the bagel from my plate and brought another one. Given the situation, I would have expected the entire dish to be remade. Additionally, the coffee mug I was given appeared dirty, which added to my concerns about overall cleanliness. I later felt sick and experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, possibly related to the meal. For the quality of food and service provided, the pricing felt unreasonably high. The overall experience did not reflect the cost. I'm really disappointed with the lack of quality control and how the situation was handled. I hope management takes food safety, cleanliness, and customer service more seriously moving forward.
