Yes, definitely this place has good coffee. Their cold brew is extremely good. They have lots of different flavors of sugar-free syrup which I really appreciate. I do not eat sugar. You have to believe me when I say that I am a true coffee snob. My husband makes incredible espresso and lattes at home so it's hard for me to get drinks out. My standards are really high. Plus, I have lots of little kids and the only drive through options are Starbucks, which is a hard no. I don't know why I've never seen this place but I knew I had to at least try it on a morning of desperation when my husband was out of town and I therefore had no barista. I got a hazelnut latte with oat milk and it was SO yummy. The coffee had great flavor and they had oat milk, which is my favorite. The girl who served me was so sweet and it warmed my heart to hear her talking to her dad, also working the shop. Family owned businesses have my heart. Next time I want to try the vanilla bean latte which she said is her fave. 5 stars for everything. This is my new go-to spot. read more

This little coffee shop is a small drive-through place right on Encinitas Boulevard... great service... Great staff... The barista Sam recommended a protein smoothie for me and it was one of the best. I've had also one of the best sugar free vanilla lattes I have ever had. everything here is organic and fresh, and I highly recommend it! Thanks guys!!! read more

Each day my roomate/BFF and I take a break from our workday to bring our absolute best to get a cup of coffee. I can assure there is not a better taste, price, selection, and service than at this location. You ever seen that movie Valentine's Day? You know in the end when Jamie Foxx goes back into the workplace to see Jessica Biel standing there semi lonely. Then he rolls up, grabs her by the hips, pulls her in, kisses her to prove and confess his love simultaneously. That's what it feels like going to LJJ In this example LJJ is Jamie Foxx and I'm Biel. Getting embraced, swaddled, and kissed. Shoutout Taylor, Tiana, Dixie, Julia, Julia, and Bree. But an absolutely massive shoutout to Sam. She's by far our favorite. No doubt better than the others. I love going to this little coffee shop because everyone is so nice! I think their Carmel Macchiato is their best drink, but really I've enjoyed every drink I've gotten from them. Their prices are super reasonable as well. The friend staff that goes above and beyond to help you really makes this place a must stop if you're in the north county area! read more

I stopped by as a pick me up after a bad night and oh my gosh when I tell you the service was amazing. The girls working were so kind and helpful. It was my first time and the barista asked my preferences and then had me try the drink before I drove away to make sure I liked it. The girls working had the ambiance of being comforting and brightening the day. I didn't get any food this time, but 100% will next time. The muffins looked so good. Decent little coffee spot, we've been trying all the local spots for coffee. Convenient coffee drive thru with friendly staff. My banana mocha didn't taste that strongly of bananas but definitely worth a second try as I went during the holiday season and it was slammed. read more

This place is such a gem! My partner and I were planning on going to downtown encinitas for coffee, but we were so glad that we found this place on Yelp (the drinks were affordable, delicious, and the service was quick)! I had a frozen expresso and my partner had a cappuccino. This is a drive-thru stand and they are pretty quick and efficient- we waited only a few minutes for our drinks. The barista that helped us was so friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely stop by in the future when in the area! read more

The coffee is always, always too strong. they act like everyone must love bitter cowboy coffee so go out of their way to add espresso shots or they put cubes of frozen coffee instead of ice cubes when i ask for extra oatmilk or sweetener in my drinks. I've never had a cup that was to my liking despite visiting 4 times so I've come to the conclusion that the staff must be incompetent. Do not bother going here. You're paying starbucks prices for rude and unprofessional employees that want to serve the coffee "their way or the highway." and by rude I mean totally ignoring me while I wait for my coffee so they can talk to other customers that are their "besties." Just make your own cup of coffee at home--that's what I always have to do because of condescending baristas like these. read more

Stopped by here the other morning for the first time. I let the employee know it was our first time there and they were so helpful with recommendations. We got a vanilla iced coffee, a mocha, and two pastries. When they brought us our drinks, they let us know that one of our drinks was on the house as it was our first time there! I always pass by this spot and notice that it always has customers so i figured it has to be good. I was in the area and gave it a try... WOW good thing i did. I ordered a Banana Mocha with almond milk. When i ordered he asked me if i like penut butter and i said yeah so he recommended to add penut butter so i did. It was sooooo good! Just like Cheers... every body knows your name here at Lil' Jungle Java. Come here enough and they will know your order too! Scott and Tiana are father/daughter owners. They are super friendly, make an amazing organic latte for sure, and have excellent prices. Daily and monthly specials are featured on their menu as well as Foursquare where every tenth visit/beverage you get a free one. No need to wait in a crazy line at Starbucks, plus the coffee rocks! read more

You would think by the reaction of the staff everytime I drive up for coffee that I was bringing them all a bag of hundred dollar bills. But that is how they treat all of their customers. And if it's your first time the coffee is on them. (That may only be when the owner is there) . I almost always have my dog with me and they always offer her a treat. And they aren't your crappy little milk bone treats they are the good kind. You know the kind I can't afford. Service is quick, sweek and efficient. Coffee is good and you have a pick of pretty much any flavor you can find at Starbucks. They also have a fresh selection of muffins and scones. And if you forget your dog don't worry they usually have a couple there you can pet. I love to support local small business and Lil' Jungle Jave is a pleasure to support. read more

In a vast sea of strange (and let's face it, creepy) mermaids, I found Lil' Jungle Java. They stand alone (quite literally), offering amazing coffee to any who can resist that two finned siren's call... their coffee is expertly brewed, all of it is ORGANIC & FAIR TRADE! (a major plus in my book!) My drink of choice is regular coffee with just a dash of cream... no sugar... just coffee the way it was meant to be enjoyed! SOOO I can't really comment on the rest of their fare; flavored, blended, smoothies... oh they've got it, but some other yelper is going to have to rate them on that... I had been wanting to try this lil spot for a while and I'm glad I finally did! My coffee was free cuz it was my first visit... the fact that they bought my coffee during a global pandemic just because it was my first visit says a lot for a small business. One of my favorite places to go for coffee for many years! The team is amazing and works together to get me on my way fast with a wonderful cup of coffee. The drive through is great on my way to work. Never let a long line make you drive past-they are fast! Traded in Starbucks! I absolutely love supporting small and local businesses, especially during these crazy times. Gave this spot a try and will never go back to anything else! The service is fantastic and they give you that family/local feel. On top of that, the coffee is AMAZING! I am a huge lover of cold brew and they do it right. I was a contractor and got burned out on collecting. Well the back breaking work to. Then I got into this small coffeee business and guess what?? Everyone is nice & friendly. Such a difference. I went to UCSD, I'm always a fan of small mom and pop coffee shops and return here on the red Helping run starbucks out of business is on my bucket list. I especially love the drive up coffee shacks. It reminds me of my brief stint in Washington state. This shack is particularly popular when I drove by around 1030 on a weekend. I do, and it was AMAZING. At first sip, my reaction was "whoa" and my son commented to my fam that night, "mommy got a REALLY good cup of coffee today. I think that was her favorite part of today." :) I hosted a breakfast two days later where I served their Coffee Snob via French press and Michael was right. It was so smooth and delicious. With an array of creamers offered, most everyone enjoyed it black. I've also brewed it with a single pour over since then, and it's just as good. I reported my appreciation to the the truck last weekend and asked for another recommendation to try, and had a hot lemon loaf flat white and it too was amazing. It's something I would never even think or know how to make, so it truly was a treat. I spend a lot of my time after work in the car and I know I'm not alone. IYKYK.
