Ok yea I was skeptical when I pulled up. Bc it's literally a "concession stand" at a little state beach where you don't even have to pay to park. It's the cutest cleanest state beach I've seen in a while for one. Free parking. Little playground with grassy area. Bathrooms, outdoor communal shower, lifeguard tower, several tiki huts for additional shade, clean seating area. I saw the prices. $14.50 for 2 tacos. I'm thinking it's steep. It is... and money is also relative. All I'm hoping for is that the tacos are as good as people say it is. I couldn't make up my mind so the owner let me order one of each - pulled pork and beef. He slow cooks them every morning!!! And yes, I can def tell that it was fresh. It was juicy, and it was flavorful. I was also skeptical about the tortilla and how it would come out. I'm so picky. I don't want just store bought floppy dry tortilla. I don't want a birria deep fried shell. This was just the right amount of crunchy and not oily at all. Solid tacos here!! My only wish was that the lime it came with would have been a fresher lime. It was an old lime with zero juice and all pulp. No juice came out when I squeezed it and all the pulp just fell apart. . But that's ok. The tacos didn't NEED them. So glad I stopped by. read more

This place is excellent! It's right next to the Moonlight Beach playground, and it has coffee drinks, and other treats. We have the breakfast tacos, which were delicious. Amazing beach dining outdoor views. Takeout Casual dining on the beach!! Free parking lot above it, with lots of street parking too. Loved their food menu. Order at the cashier, and eat on the beach. There's plenty of concrete picnic tables off the sand and on the sand. On Moonlight State Beach. No dogs, skateboarding, and alcoholic beverages allowed. Tons of benches at the parking lot cliff area, with amazing beach views from above. Maybe dogs allowed there? Pork plate! The pork was overly saucy but still a great deal, and not bad. Our friend liked his curry tacos too. We visited on a Wednesday 12pmish in mid Oct 65F weather, on the way toward East SD. It was empty, amazing scenery, lots of free parking and seating. Good amount of surfers in the water, and people setup on the sand. Overall, love that we can dine on the sand like that! Restrooms are also very clean. I'm definitely bookmarking this beach to visit again. I bet it's packed on the weekends and such. read more

For a "concession stand" this is the best one I've come across so far. Been stopping by here for four summers in a row now and the food and drinks have been consistently good. Their lattes, tacos, sandwiches and breakfast food rival sit down restaurants just down the street. You order at the window and wait for your stuff. Some days are fast and some days the wait can take a little longer. So convenient while hanging on the beach. read more

This place is such a surprise! It's right on Moonlight Beach and while you would not expect "concession stand" food to be good, it's actually amazingly delicious! I had the Barbacoa 24 hour braised beef breakfast sandwich and it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. My daughter had the potato coconut curry tacos. She's vegetarian was delighted to find they had such good, tasty and healthy options. And because it's right on the beach you can sit and watch the waves while you enjoy the gourmet food.
