This was a wonderful experience from start to finish! We visited for dinner and everything was seamless. Parking right out front was easy and free, which is always a plus. The hostess was super friendly and we were seated pretty much right away, having a reservation definitely helped. The food was outstanding. We ordered the Ricotta Crostino, the Wagyu Beef Burger, and the Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp. For me, the Ricotta Crostino was the absolute highlight; the dried lemon zest and dried herbs added such a unique and delicious flavor profile. They were also incredibly accommodating to our four-legged companion. Our pup was treated to the Barko Loco for his main course and even got dessert, a pup cup to finish his meal! To drink, I enjoyed an Old Fashioned with Bulleit Rye. My wife loved the presentation, especially the large square ice cube stamped with the Four Seasons logo, a really high end touch. We finished the night by sharing the warm apricot walnut tart, which was the perfect sweet ending. Our server, Louie, was fantastic. He was super attentive and his recommendations were spot on. Plenty of free parking available in front of the hotel entrance. They have indoor and outdoor seating and even during the day, the outdoor was nicely shaded. Their bathroom is shared out in the lobby; very fancy and clean. *We went for 2026 Jan San Diego Restaurant Week* Their appetizer Celeriac Apple Soup was amazing. Nothing I have had before. It has a texture of a bisque and had the nutty and a slight tangy flavor. Definitely pleasantly surprised. The Shrimp Louie was ok. The fried Catfish was crispy and juicy. It does have that catfish smell but goes well with the sauce it came with. The French Dip came with really dry meat and even with the au jus it tasted a bit dry. Their desserts coffee cake and chocolate orange brûlée were amazing. Not too sweet but perfectly flavored and huge in size. All their cocktails were amazing! We did pick their sweet types (Spiced pear martini, Fig + gin spritz, Liquid sunshine, Agua de Jamaica, and Port wine sour) but they definitely were sweet and delicious. They did not taste like alcohol at all. Their non-alcoholic cocktails like the Bitter Rose were also sweet and refreshing. The service was quick and although the kitchen messed up the salad order, they fixed it by bringing out the missing item. Ask your server for recommendations if unsure. Restaurant Week featured Seasons Restaurant in Carlsbad and it delivered a truly spectacular experience. Located inside the resort, the venue was beautiful and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Jelly, our hostess, greeted everyone with a big, warm smile and was very respectful of guests' time. We were seated promptly and didn't have to wait long at all. Our waitress, Yvonne, was fantastic. She's charismatic, professional, and instantly made us feel like we were being served by a friend. Her recommendations were spot-on. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I especially loved the panko-fried catfish It was light, crispy, and not heavy at all. Portions were perfectly balanced; I felt satisfied without being overly stuffed, even after dessert. Overall, Seasons Restaurant offers the right food proportions, excellent service, and elegant, flavorful food. Stopped by for breakfast over a weekend. We were seated right away and service was attentive. They checked on us throughout the meal as well. We ordered a cappuccino, avocado toast, fruit platter, breakfast burrito, and potatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Me and a friend (and his dog) came here for a little RESTAURANT WEEK to feel the staycation vibes. The professionalism of the Four Seasons is always absolute TOP NOTCH and the gold standard, so honestly it's just nice to be in that environment when you know no matter what you are going to be taken care of and get good service, full stop. 5/5 I thought the food was elevated, and good but nothing to go out of my way for. It is, after all a hotel restaurant. Between us we tried every single item on the restaurant week menu. Who knows if that is what they usually serve or not? I did enjoy the vegan meatball dish the most, oddly enough. The shrimp pasta was light and a little watery imo. But had lots of shrimp at least. I wasn't really a fan of the Monte cristo it had an odd smell to it, but the bread was good. The best dessert was the goat cheese tart, unexpected and unique! 4/5 The indoor outdoor vibe is super nice and I didn't feel weird at all not being a guest. I have mixed feelings towards this place. Service was great: the staff were really kind and took care of me and my dog; they kept checking up on me. This is the place if you're looking for a quiet, romantic space: intimate but not dim, relaxing but not too casual or rushed. Seating was really comfortable. Note that this is a restaurant in a hotel. My tropical drink ($24) was refreshing; it tasted like a piña colada but unsure if it's worth the price. I ordered a Gem Caesar Salad ($17) and a Chicken Dish ($34) which were beautifully presented, but sadly quite lacked seasoning. The chicken was the exception: cooked perfectly, with its lightly salted, crisp skin--essentially saved the dish. The mushrooms and chicken reduction also added some depth in flavor but I'd skip the couscous risotto. The wait for each dish/drink was longer than I would've liked but I was solo dining so it could've been different. Will probably return for dessert paired with a coffee. read more

My friends and I chose this restaurant by the po for brunch before another event. We arrived and the other half of our party was seated overlooking the pool, which was pretty. Our surface name was Beatrice and she was able to get our drinks ordered. They have a special brunch menu in which they offer some really nice specialty cocktails as well as regular items hot and cold to drink. I ordered the Homey Matcha hot. They have a honey Matcha and a regular Matcha hot. After she took everyone's drink orders, we sat by the pool while we enjoyed the music of this wonderful singer and guitarist named Jolene Cruz. I drinks came out and mine was not what I ordered, but I went ahead and enjoyed it because I didn't have the energy to order again nor send back what I had had and then have to wait again for it to be prepared and then delivered again. We submitted our food orders for brunch. One of the issues that we had was that during our stay outside, there were multiple bees that were trying to get to us as we dined. The situation got a bit worse after our food came. Our server offered to move us into the inside dining room next to the bar. We moved there and things were a lot more peaceful for us, and we were able to enjoy our meal and have a good time at brunch.I had a "Cider-Rita" which is an apple cider margarita. This was absolutely delicious. I really wanted the pear drink, but because it had ingredients that I was allergic to I couldn't order it. Our food was good and we had a great time. Our service did get a little bit slower when we got inside and so we just decided to wrap it up and finish eating quickly so that we could make our next appointment. This was a great experience. I actually really liked my food here but there's no way I can rank it higher. Service was SLOW - and at a place that's trying to be fine dining and takes dinner reservations outdoors, they don't have any *patio heaters*. There's intelligent life in the kitchen. My beet salad was actually freaking delicious. And my halibut was super tasty. So that's what pulls the rating up. But after a nice welcome at the hostess stand, it took a long time to get a server; the servers and/or kitchen were extremely slow; and this must be a normal thing here. At a well-run restaurant, if I were waiting for my entree an hour after sitting down, someone would come tell me it was coming and apologize, and/or offer me something to munch on in the meanwhile. Nothing here, because they must ordinarily be SLOW (see the other reviews). My cocktail was tasty, and my sweetie thought his food was 3-4 stars, so it's a bummer that they're not more organized here. But often though I really enjoyed my two dishes, I was still pretty darn hungry after. The desserts didn't look that interesting - but also I didn't want it to take another 45 minutes for another course to come. So the food here is interesting. If you're staying here and you don't mind sitting for long periods with no food, give it a try. But I can't really recommend it to folks who have other choices and certainly not if you are eating outside and don't know if it will be a cool night, unless you really want to layer. I was singing "I'm extremely very HUUUUUNGRY" for quite a while (to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic), and I don't need to do that when I'm paying $$$. French omelette tasted like absolutely nothing in my opinion. Chia seed pudding was the best I've tasted anywhere, and the French toast was chefs kiss! Would definitely come back again. This is a beautiful restaurant tucked away inside the Carlsbad Four Seasons. For dinner, we came here for the $55 per person fixed price menu and the food did not disappoint. For starters, we tried the Caesar Salad and the House-made Ricotta. Both of these were amazing. I loved touches of the fried capers and egg yoke in the Caesar salad. The Ricotta on sourdough was really nice with some sweetness and light savoryness. I'm inspired to make something like it at home. For mains, we got the Roasted Salmon and Lamb Tagliatelle. The salmon was asked for medium rare which was ideal and perfect. I was scared the lamb tagliatelle would be too rich, but it was balanced. The lamb was cooked very well so it smelled and tasted mild. For desserts, we got the Yuzu Tart and the Mango Sorbet. The tart had a good level of sweetness and tartness for me since I don't like overly sweet desserts. The mango sorbet was fresh, light, and refreshing. It was a great texture as well. I do wish I tried a different dessert though since the sorbet wasn't anything unusually special. Service was great. Our server was amicable and attentive. Would have given this 2 stars had it not been for good service. Pros: - The beet appetizer had good flavor. - Service was pleasant and timely. Cons: - The "whipped goat cheese" in the beet appetizer was pure liquid, like heavy cream, and the presentation lacked finesse. They hand ripped some basil over the top - a quick chop would have worked better for the look and taste. - The lamb ragu wasn't very ragu-y to me. There were no tomatoes in the sauce, which is usually part of a ragu. It was braised lamb in a loose brown liquid over pasta. There was also a rogue lump of blue cheese in my pasta that wasn't supposed to be there and it threw off the experience. - The yuzu tart was not good. It looked nice, sure. But I'm not sure how this dish gets messed up. The crust was chalky, the yuzu center majorly lacked flavor/sugar, and the center was very stiff like it had gelatin or too much egg. Far from the tiny, chic-chic portions one might expect, Seasons' menu items are as substantial as they are unfussy - after indulging in a few too many of the freshly fried plantain chips that came with our Guacamole loaded with cilantro and toasted pepitas, I could not finish my massive Fried Chicken Sando and (reluctantly :) relinquished half to my dining companion, who in turn was unable to finish his Black Angus Burger :P. Brined in buttermilk, adorned with pickled cucumbers, and dressed in lemon aioli, the chicken was juicy AF with a terrifically crispy crust complemented perfectly by a soft brioche bun. That same bun did not do justice to the burger however, as the black garlic aioli, aged cheddar, and bacon onion jam - while delicious flavor-wise - made the whole ensemble just a bit too soggy. I don't typically eat fried chicken but my husband ordered this and I went back for more bites than I'd like to share, it was delicious. A perfect chicken breast, no gristle. The Caesar is one of my favorites. I am one of those people that loves kale. Most restaurants don't give you an anchovy with your Caesar, it's a such a nice touch my only wish it that had more, enough for each bite. This particular salad had a bit too much cheese for me hardly a problem. We had the pleasure of being served my Manley, incredibly friendly and attentive. Stopped by to experience Seasons' $55 three course pre fix dinner and wasn't disappointed. Besides that offering, they had various deals and specials depending on the day. The restaurant was well decorated for the holidays and relatively empty. They honored my reservation but I doubt I would have had trouble getting a table otherwise. Service was superb and our dishes were cleared immediately. Louis was a great server and all the staff members were polite and attentive. Food came out within 15 minutes and subsequent dishes arrived when we finished eating. =ORDERED= *Deviled Eggs: smokey and mustardy. The celery root was subtle. Creamy and the smokiness gave it a barbecue like taste. *Steak Frites: unfortunately the kitchen ran out of flat iron steak so we had to upgrade to the filet mignon for $6. Came with a choice of A2, horseradish cream, truffle aioli or chimichurri. The filet was cooked to a medium rare and had a solid crust. The chimichurri was garlicky and acidic. The fries were my favorite as they were incredibly crispy and hot. Really solid entree. *Pistachio Creme Brulee: not my favorite rendition as the custard tasted overcooked. The filling wasn't creamy but rather eggy. The dark chocolate base and topping overwhelmed the pistachio. *Cranberry Sour: beautifully made but the flavors were masked by the bourbon. The lemon egg white was inconspicuous. Likewise the apple and cranberry were indistinguishable. Sounded more festive than the taste. I received a 20% voucher for my visit and I'll be happy to return for another meal. Solid restaurant with excellent service. I was smart to have dinner before the rush which usually occurs around 6/7pm. When I arrived, I noticed the staff off the bat was so professional and friendly. I couldn't wait to look at the Restaurant Week menu to see what foodie surprises were in store for me. I must say, I was super pleased with what I ordered for my three course meal. Before I go further...a shout-out goes to my stellar waiter. He treated me like a celebrity and suggested for me to take a picture which he gladly took for me.:-) My 1st Course - the prelude, I enjoyed the Beets and Berries that paired very well with my red sangria. I had the perfectly seared Scottish Salmon served with a creamy tasty puree on the bottom and almonds sprinkled on top for my 2nd Course - the main attraction. As for my 3rd Course - the grande finale, I slowly indulged in the Apple Bread Pudding coupled with their homemade vanilla gelato...trying to savor each bite. Ordered the Edamame Hummus and we were surprised and elated at the quality... and it was gone in a nanosecond. The dinner menu changes so many of the food items reviewed earlier are no longer offered. The highlights: Caesar salad is really good. They fry capers, grate egg, and the dressing is great. If you add chicken, it's really moist and flavorful. House made ricotta on sourdough. Delicious. It's got a tang of sweet and salty. Very nice. Fish tacos. Had this twice it was so good. Comes with mango slaw and a really good salsa verde. For breakfast my favorite was the French omelet. All the breakfast items are good but the French omelet was my favorite. It a simple omelet with cheese in the middle. Comes with a very simple but very good side salad. BTW the French fries here are fantastic. My kid orders fries everywhere so we've had a lot. This is one of the best. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft it the middle. This is how a fry is supposed to be. Overall their menu is one of the best I've ever had for room service and the restaurant is really good. They have a ton of gluten free and veg options if that's a concern. read more

We've been here a couple of times over the years. It's a little restaurant tucked away near the pool at the Four Seasons timeshare area, down the hill from the Park Hyatt resort (formerly Four Seasons many years ago). The lobby shares the entrance with the Spa I think. Free parking out front of this restaurant although parking was a bit questionable on this trip as they are doing some sort of construction and a lot of the spaces were taken up with the trucks/supplies. Large lobby area, very nicely decorated with cool light fixtures, hanging plants in interesting hangers and so forth. There's also a nice coffee bar in the lobby area. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side (6 booths or so and maybe 8 tables). In good weather they also seat you on the patio by the pool which can be nice. It's well-decorated and very relaxing going there. I've never seen it super crowded. We had a nice lunch yesterday with Christi as our server. She said she's relatively new but she's very personable and did a great job for us. In the past there used to be a Chef's Table dinner thing here. When we asked about it we were told they're just now planning to re-start offering this now that Covid restrictions are relaxed. Might be something fun to look into! The menu here is weird as it looks like extremely humdrum, generic American food classics. But don't be fooled! They're all done really well from what we've sampled and the food itself isn't boring. I will say, the first time we went here they had a lamb burger on the menu and it was fantastic. Please bring that back! It would go great with the toppings listed for the turkey burger. The day we were there they were offering bibimbap as an off the menu special. I didn't order it only because I was having something similar for dinner. We did order the following: Mocktails - we all had the King Fisher Cooler. It was nice and refreshing and a beautiful pink color. Love the fresh basil with it! Appetizer - Edamame hummus platter. Again, beautiful presentation. Great flatbread with this. Entrees - Fried chicken sando (tasty, big piece of chicken, the breading was shatteringly crispy and didn't want to stay on the chicken. It made a bit of a mess with every bite!). Short Rib Grilled Cheese - looked good, the person who had this said the short rib was very tender Black Angus Burger - the person who had this said it was a winner. It looked fabulous and I'd order it next time. The side of black garlic aioli we shared as a dipping sauce for the fries and it was fantastic. Winter Squash Soup - nice big bowl, but the person who ordered it said the coconut milk in it got a little overpowering with that much of it. Kid's Quesadilla and fruit - It's a quesadilla. The fruit was cute in a little rainbow of melon slices, but the melon is horribly out of season so mostly didn't taste all that great. Sides - Fries, Truffle Fries and Fruit. Fries were nicely fried! I hate a limp/undercolored fry. These were good. Truffle fries were also a nice option. Get the black garlic aioli to dip in, yum. Didn't have dessert on this visit but I recall their in house made gelatos and sorbets being really good. It's a little overpriced for what it is, but it's at the Four Seasons. Kind of expected? There aren't a ton of sit down, "nicer" casual restaurants in the area, so this is a great option. Seating review: I kind of hate their chairs. They are stylish, with lots of thin bands making up the sides/back, but very uncomfortable for those of us with bigger hips! The booths are really wide, they can easily seat 3 per side which is different. Requires a bit of scooting if you're in the middle. B for seating, but the place is rather stylish so I guess it was looks over comfort. read more

We drove up on a Saturday and stopped for lunch at Season's restaurant at the Four Seasons. We had Eric as our server who couldn't have been nicer. He guided us through some brunch choices, which included bottomless mimosas. We sat outside on the patio poolside and enjoyed Aviara/Carlsbad's always-perfect weather. One of us had the breaky skillet and one had the delish gravlax on artisan bread. Amazing. read more
