Absolutely loved this place. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was truly unmatched. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly accommodating and made us feel like royalty. Norma was so friendly and helpful, and our server Ali went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh, and the fruit was especially fresh and delicious. The restrooms had a spa feel as well Honestly, this level of service is something we haven't even experienced at several high-end restaurants in downtown San Diego. Overall, an amazing experience. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to everyone looking for a relaxing brunch or breakfast, whether with family or just adults.

I love an amazing waitress just sets the mood right. Beatrice was patient, kind and extremely attentive. Restaurant Week featured Seasons Restaurant in Carlsbad and it delivered a truly spectacular experience. Located inside the resort, the venue was beautiful and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Jelly, our hostess, greeted everyone with a big, warm smile and was very respectful of guests' time. We were seated promptly and didn't have to wait long at all. Our waitress, Yvonne, was fantastic. She's charismatic, professional, and instantly made us feel like we were being served by a friend. Her recommendations were spot-on. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I especially loved the panko-fried catfish It was light, crispy, and not heavy at all. Portions were perfectly balanced; I felt satisfied without being overly stuffed, even after dessert. Overall, Seasons Restaurant offers the right food proportions, excellent service, and elegant, flavorful food. I highly recommend this place for both the dining experience and the exceptional hospitality.

Stopped by for breakfast over a weekend. We were seated right away and service was attentive. They checked on us throughout the meal as well. We ordered a cappuccino, avocado toast, fruit platter, breakfast burrito, and potatoes. Everything was fresh and delicious. The avocado toast was the standout with the lemon, it added a freshness and tang that I really enjoyed. I would recommend this spot if you're in the area.

Me and a friend (and his dog) came here for a little RESTAURANT WEEK to feel the staycation vibes. The professionalism of the Four Seasons is always absolute TOP NOTCH and the gold standard, so honestly it's just nice to be in that environment when you know no matter what you are going to be taken care of and get good service, full stop. 5/5 I thought the food was elevated, and good but nothing to go out of my way for. It is, after all a hotel restaurant. Between us we tried every single item on the restaurant week menu. Who knows if that is what they usually serve or not? I did enjoy the vegan meatball dish the most, oddly enough. The shrimp pasta was light and a little watery imo. But had lots of shrimp at least. I wasn't really a fan of the Monte cristo it had an odd smell to it, but the bread was good. The best dessert was the goat cheese tart, unexpected and unique! 4/5 The indoor outdoor vibe is super nice and I didn't feel weird at all not being a guest. Parking was also super easy and chill. 5/5 I think if you're going for a nature walk around the Carlsbad lagoon and in the area or playing tennis here this is a tucked away upscale treat to try!

I have mixed feelings towards this place. Service was great: the staff were really kind and took care of me and my dog; they kept checking up on me. This is the place if you're looking for a quiet, romantic space: intimate but not dim, relaxing but not too casual or rushed. Seating was really comfortable. Note that this is a restaurant in a hotel. My tropical drink ($24) was refreshing; it tasted like a piña colada but unsure if it's worth the price. I ordered a Gem Caesar Salad ($17) and a Chicken Dish ($34) which were beautifully presented, but sadly quite lacked seasoning. The chicken was the exception: cooked perfectly, with its lightly salted, crisp skin--essentially saved the dish. The mushrooms and chicken reduction also added some depth in flavor but I'd skip the couscous risotto. The wait for each dish/drink was longer than I would've liked but I was solo dining so it could've been different. Will probably return for dessert paired with a coffee.

My friends and I chose this restaurant by the po for brunch before another event. We arrived and the other half of our party was seated overlooking the pool, which was pretty. Our surface name was Beatrice and she was able to get our drinks ordered. They have a special brunch menu in which they offer some really nice specialty cocktails as well as regular items hot and cold to drink. I ordered the Homey Matcha hot. They have a honey Matcha and a regular Matcha hot. After she took everyone's drink orders, we sat by the pool while we enjoyed the music of this wonderful singer and guitarist named Jolene Cruz. I drinks came out and mine was not what I ordered, but I went ahead and enjoyed it because I didn't have the energy to order again nor send back what I had had and then have to wait again for it to be prepared and then delivered again. We submitted our food orders for brunch. One of the issues that we had was that during our stay outside, there were multiple bees that were trying to get to us as we dined. The situation got a bit worse after our food came. Our server offered to move us into the inside dining room next to the bar. We moved there and things were a lot more peaceful for us, and we were able to enjoy our meal and have a good time at brunch.I had a "Cider-Rita" which is an apple cider margarita. This was absolutely delicious. I really wanted the pear drink, but because it had ingredients that I was allergic to I couldn't order it. Our food was good and we had a great time. Our service did get a little bit slower when we got inside and so we just decided to wrap it up and finish eating quickly so that we could make our next appointment. This was a great experience. I would say the highlight is food, the drinks, and the singer, she was fantastic. We Venmo her tips and we also followed her on Instagram so that we could book her for future performance.

Loved this cute and cozy restaurant inside four seasons residences and I love the fact that they had a lot of gluten-free options including a separate fryer for fries! We got some steak nacho fries and jumbo shrimp, which was super tasty and flavorful and our bartender was very friendly! Definitely going to go back if I'm in Carlsbad area again

Loved their lunch menu for restaurant week. The dog friendly patio was very comfortable with a great view of the pool and the soothing sound of the center fountain. Service was friendly. We liked the slower pace. We like that you don't need to pay for valet here. Loved: chicken Milanese sandwich, buttery sea bass with corn and bean salad, and the cioppino stew. Specialty lattes are delicious here too

I always enjoy their grilled chicken sandwich which has a delicious chipotle aoli and pepper relish sauce. I love coming here and sitting on the patio by the fountain overlooking the pool. It feels like a relaxing oasis tucked away in Carlsbad.

I actually really liked my food here but there's no way I can rank it higher. Service was SLOW - and at a place that's trying to be fine dining and takes dinner reservations outdoors, they don't have any *patio heaters*. There's intelligent life in the kitchen. My beet salad was actually freaking delicious. And my halibut was super tasty. So that's what pulls the rating up. But after a nice welcome at the hostess stand, it took a long time to get a server; the servers and/or kitchen were extremely slow; and this must be a normal thing here. At a well-run restaurant, if I were waiting for my entree an hour after sitting down, someone would come tell me it was coming and apologize, and/or offer me something to munch on in the meanwhile. Nothing here, because they must ordinarily be SLOW (see the other reviews). My cocktail was tasty, and my sweetie thought his food was 3-4 stars, so it's a bummer that they're not more organized here. But often though I really enjoyed my two dishes, I was still pretty darn hungry after. The desserts didn't look that interesting - but also I didn't want it to take another 45 minutes for another course to come. So the food here is interesting. If you're staying here and you don't mind sitting for long periods with no food, give it a try. But I can't really recommend it to folks who have other choices and certainly not if you are eating outside and don't know if it will be a cool night, unless you really want to layer. I was singing "I'm extremely very HUUUUUNGRY" for quite a while (to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic), and I don't need to do that when I'm paying $$$. (Maybe some bread service might help if it's going to take that long between courses??)

Camille was a joy to be served by today, timely, efficient, and so kind in taking care of us. She made our brunch experience seamless and warm, and her thoughtful service truly stood out. Thank you, Camille, for going above and beyond you shine with grace and professionalism!

The cornbread was easily the best I've ever had -- warm, flavorful, and moist. I don't like cornbread because it's usually dry but my goodness, this cornbread was anything but. It was the best cornbread I've ever had.The broccoli was also the best I've ever had. I'm not a fan of broccoli, but the cooks charred the outside to get such a nice, crispy texture without it tasting burnt. Meanwhile the broccoli stem was cooked to contrast with the crunchy-like bites of the charred head. The market fish trout was good, granted trout was dry and isn't my favorite fish. But I ordered it to pay attention to the other facets of the dish: the puree and mushrooms that accompanied it were the stars. At least the trout skin was crispy. Campfire has a rustic, cabin feel to it (I thought the arrows on the walls were a cool touch). Servers were great and attentive. I'd come back to try other entrees.

Good Vibe, Delicious Apps, and Good Service…read more My wife and I recently dined here after having a tough time deciding between Nick's on State and Campfire--so stay tuned, because a Campfire review is definitely coming down the road. When we arrived, the restaurant was buzzing. The host let us know it would be a 1.5-hour wait for a table unless we wanted to sit at the bar. We opted for the bar, and I'm glad we did. The atmosphere and surroundings were great, and the bar staff was incredibly nice and welcoming (one of them even thought I looked familiar). Right off the bat, we were served waters without even having to ask, which is always a nice touch. To drink, I ordered the Berry Yuzu Spritz. It was absolutely delicious, and the chunks of fresh fruit in it were a great addition. My wife ordered a glass of the Daou Reserve. She mentioned it probably could have used a little more time to breathe before being served, but hey, neither of us are sommeliers, so it wasn't a dealbreaker by any means. We decided to kick things off with the Shrimp Taquitos and the Bacon Deviled Eggs. The Shrimp Taquitos texture was awesome--perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and not over-wrapped at all. Every bite I took seemed better than the last! My wife felt they could have gone a little lighter on the creamy sauce, but for me, the crunch-to-sauce ratio was spot on. I was excited to tru the Bacon Deviled Eggs because it was my first time trying a deep-fried deviled egg, and it was a fun experience. It just took two bites to finish. While it was good, I didn't get much of the bacon flavor, and the filling needed just a bit more "umph" to it--it tasted mostly like a standard deviled egg until I piled on some extra chives for flavor. (Side note: These actually made me miss the incredible deviled eggs at a hotel in downtown San Diego. I have a review coming out for that spot soon, but if you want the name before then, just send me a message and I'll drop it for you). After demolishing the apps, our entrees arrived. My wife ordered the Chicken Piccata and it came out as two very hefty portions of chicken alongside mashed potatoes and a salad. It was a solid, pretty good dish, though nothing particularly stood out as a wow factor. I ordered the Bistro Plate, which featured a filet mignon served over toasted bread with tomato. I'm usually not a tomato fan, but the combination here really worked. The plate also comes with a soup and a salad. The salad was quite good. The soup was tasty, though I wasn't a huge fan of the deep-fried jalapeños inside because they got a bit soggy in the broth. As for the filet, it was cooked medium-rarish--perfectly medium-rare right in the center, getting a little more done as you moved outward. Overall, we truly enjoyed the food and the excellent service. The only real downside was our specific seating location. As the sun began to set, it blared right into my face at the bar. If you plan on catching a spot at the bar around sunset, check out my pictures and try to avoid the exact spot I was in. We had a really nice evening and would absolutely come back. Next time, we'd love to grab a booth and explore a few more items on the menu. Highly recommend giving them a look!

We chose to sit in the main dining room and from start to finish were taken care of by the best waitperson we've had anywhere in at least the last year. Her name was Kristen and she was knowledgeable about the menu and was perfectively attentive whenever we needed anything. We enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer and then the mussels and clams steamed and clam chowder and the sand dabs. The food was extremely fresh and well prepared. And the sourdough bread that comes to your table is as good as anything San Francisco has to offer. All parts of our experience were perfect and I will again mention Kristen. Every once in awhile you get lucky and the person taking care of you at dinner actually becomes a huge positive in your overall experience.....and that what she did for all of us......And yes......we will be returning very soon......Gary

Perfect place for a big party…read more We had a company dinner at Ponto Lago and honestly, it was great. Service was fantastic and our server gave us such great recommendations. We ordered a variety of foods and appetizers and though our party had various dietary preferences, the menu was fantastic for selection and everyone had a great meal. The Koji Aged Rib Eye - Medium Rare was phenomenal. I think everything it came with complemented it so well. My friends (coworkers) and I ordered some additional corn tortillas to eat with our rib eyes and man those were so good. Dessert menu was great and I forgot what it was called but the one I ordered was fantastic. I will say, dining here is worth the price. You get such great foods, great service, and the view is just gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back. We reserved our Friday night "lobster night" table a few weeks in advance! So excited! We arrived…read moreexactly at our reservation time and were not seated until 10 minutes later. No big deal. However, we sat at our table for over 10 minutes before a server actually acknowledged us. That was uncomfortable. Once he came by, we asked about ordering the lobster dinner and he said "well, it's very exclusive." to which I responded "I KNOW, we made a reservation exclusively for that. Is that noted somewhere?"He copped an attitude but then said "ok. I THINK we have some left". Ugh. So, the service was not ideal. Also, it was loud and clearly there were families in there that had just come back from Legoland or somewhere, because there were screaming children. Not really a big deal in a hotel environment because you kind of expect that, but don't go in expecting an "exclusive" experience here. That said, the food was AWESOME. Pork belly appetizer was the winner! The lobster was fantastic (although, we asked for extra of the sauce they put with it and it never came), and the potatoes on the side were great. Overall, I would love to go back and experience the food again, however, for the price, it's not worth putting up with the weak service. Also...that whole "dress code" thing. Don't stress. You're fine

My New "FAVORITE" restaurant find‼‼‼‼‼‼ TINLEAF FRESH…read moreKITCHEN‼‼ It opened in 2010 and I have lived in the area this whole time, not knowing how amazing it was!!! Please, do NOT be put off by the fact that it is in a strip center. Be HAPPY and GRATEFUL for the parking‼ I found myself looking for a nearby, spot on, go to "Cobb Salad". I had just been to their "sister" restaurant "The Black Rail" for a wonderful Monday burger, fries and glass of wine special. That is what led me next door to Tinleaf. So, I went alone for lunch...ordered the " West Coast Cobb" salad, an order of extra crispy Belgian French fries and a lovely Chardonnay. When ordering French fries...you get your choice of SEVEN dipping sauces‼‼ The Garlic, Chive Aioli is a winner‼ My West Coast Cobb featured panko-crusted chicken breast, bacon bits, hard-boiled egg, Gorgonzola cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado and lovely mixed greens with a Buttermilk dressing. Is that NOT "Heaven in a Bowl"⁉ My fries were plentiful and perfect. The garlic chive aioli sauce was outstanding for the fries and ALSO for the panko-crusted chicken. I noticed a VERY brisk take out vibe going on. And, I'm going to keep this in mind. BECAUSE...my salad and fries could have easily fed TWO people. I, however, ate EVERY bite. I'm thinking...if I take it "to go" I'll get home and only eat HALF and store the rest away. It could happen‼ I'm looking forward to working my way through the menu...Meatloaf Sandwich, Turkey Pot Pie, Tri Tip Steak Salad, Grilled Salmon Sandwich. It is an "order at the counter" place and then they bring your meal to you. They also have patio dining. I'm thinking the "French Dip" with horseradish sauce is calling to me‼‼

TINLEAF FRESH KITCHEN @ CARLSBAD…read more Parking is very tight, and it does get extremely busy since this place is shared with a bunch of other businesses and restaurants. That said, it's honestly a good kind of busy, the complex is super lively, and I absolutely love that vibe. I'd definitely recommend trying to find parking as quickly as you can, but we were able to snag a spot within about five minutes. I like how easy the set up is, you walk in, look at the menu, order and pay right away, then sit wherever you'd like while the food is brought out to you. Overall, the food quality was pretty decent. My family and I ordered family-style and tried a variety of items, including their salads, a mushroom plate, and the salmon. Everything was really good, although the salmon was a bit overcooked. I especially loved the fries that came with the salad. One thing I really liked is that they offer a lot of different combinations, so you can do something like half a sandwich with a soup or salad, or mix and match depending on what you're craving. They also have a convenient water station in the back corner, which is super handy. There's also an outdoor patio area, and it's such a cute spot, perfect for lounging with a drink, sandwich, or appetizer. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch with friends. The vibe feels much more lunch-focused than dinner, and the staff was super friendly. There were also a lot of to-go orders while we were there, so it's clear this place is very popular.
