    Carpaccio di Manzo

Delicious artisan pizza, with perfectly chewy yet thin crust. Carpaccio and Caesar salad appetizers were modest in size, tasty, well prepared and presented. We sat at the bar during happy hour and enjoyed fast, attentive service. House wine is a very nice choice, and the selection of draft beers more than sufficient. Cicciotti's is a relaxed environment, nicely decorated, and perfectly unpretentious. We dine here regularly...delicious cuisine, expertly prepared, promptly served, and alway friendly staff.

    Pappardelle Funghi Tartufati with Sausage

Came here on a Tuesday. Service was attentive and friendly. My friend and I ordered the Pappardelle Funghi Tartufati with sausage and the Ravioli Al Pollo Genovese. They happen to have a special every Tuesday where you can get any pasta dish for $15. The atmosphere is cute, intimate, and lovely. Unfortunately, I found the pastas lacking flavor and a bit oily. I'm giving them 3 stars since everything else was fine, and the complimentary bread was pillowy and delicious.

Maybe it was an off night, but I don't understand the strong reviews. The Margherita pizza was off, the dough a bit too thick, too much cheese, not enough tomato sauce and the basil were weird strips. Look at the picture? The seafood platter was bland, felt like the seafood was placed on the grill for a bit and then drizzled with cheap olive oil. Luckily a Groupon was used so I didn't have to pay much (pizza $20, seafood $39), but be aware they automatically add 18% gratuity to the bill which is fair, but the machine will ask you for additional 18-22% tip on top of the full bill with the 18% already added so watch out for that.

They have a great Tuesday pasta deal - 15 for any pasta dish, which is a nice value. My friend and I shared the Pappardelle Funghi Tartufati with sausage and the Ravioli Al Pollo Genovese. The pappardelle wasn't my favorite. It was a bit bland and I didn't love the noodle texture. The ravioli was much better. It was creamy and came with a good amount of chicken. We were provided with a side of warm bread, which was tasty dipped in oil and balsamic. Service was good overall.

Food was delicious served hot & fresh! Great pizza & pasta! Friendly staff. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because they didn't bring the appetizer out first and brought everything at the same time So, our mains got cold while enjoying the appetizer.

Some family and I met for a dinner on a monday night. There were a lot of us, everybody enjoyed their food. My mom was craving oysters and she was satisfied with them and she is usually picky. My husband had a steak which he enjoyed, and they made sure that it was cooked to his perfection by asking him to slice it open and making sure it's what he asked for. My mom also was happy with their cannolis.

Because I used a gift card they added an automatic 20% gratuity fee. Ive never been charged an automatic tip because I used a gift card.

I received a gift card to this restaurant and was excited to try it, as it was raved about. I went on a Saturday night with my partner and no reservation. The place appeared crowded, but they were able to seat us outdoors with no problem. We ordered: 1. Oysters Rockefeller (4/5) 2. Pappardelle Shrimp Funghi Tartufati (1/5) 3. Ravioli Al Pollo Genovese (4/5) 4. Old Fashioned (3/5) The ravioli Al Pollo Genovese was nicely seasoned. I really wanted to like the pappardelle shrimp funghi tartufati, but it honestly lacked any flavor or salt. The service was fairly well; however, when one of the staff brought out our food, we had 4 empty plates on our small table (the rockefeller plate with empty shells, the empty complimentary bread plate, and 2 of our appetizer plates). We had to be the one to re-arrange our table and stack our plates to make room for the main dishes... and guess what? The staff NEVER took our dirty plates. So we ate a good amount of our main dishes with the dirty dishes in between us until the main waitstaff realized and came to take the plates away. The biggest disappointment is the fact that the first check came at $103.66 and I had presented my gift card. He asked how much was on it, which I informed him was $100. He came back and the check was $122.90. He explained that because I used a gift card, there is an automatic 20% gratuity added. I think this is insane-- never have I been charged to use a gift card and we weren't even a party of over 6! Not to mention the service wasn't to par to deserve a 20% considering the dirty dishes left on our table. Needless to say--I won't be back, and I won't be recommending this place.

Wow! This was a great date night spot, dog friendly, great service! We came for the happy hour, honestly the limoncello was the most generous happy hour drink my wife and I have ever had, both were tipsy sharing the one glass. Also the meatball marinara stole the show, perfectly tender, melt in your mouth, not dry but well seasoned. Recommend getting some bread and using the sauce and cheese to its fullest.

Absolutely loved our experience at Cicciotti's From start to finish, everything was on point. The food was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we had was a hit. Shout-out to Nick, who took amazing care of us. Super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Service like that elevates the entire dining experience. Great food, great service, and a warm, inviting vibe all around. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot if you're in the area.

    Pizza Spinaci & Salsiccia 4.5/5

I had been watching this place for a while after I noticed them on Groupon. I really wanted to check them out since they did have good reviews and 2 locations. We went to the Carlsbad village location, as the offer was for only this place. Tried the fried calamari and zucchini, which came together. The zucchini outshined the calamari, which had a slight rubbery texture. The bruschetta which I think we ordered, was just bread with a chunky marinara-type sauce. As for the shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, this was a definitely a great choice. Even when the small amount was reheated, it didn't turn to an oily mess the following day. The spinach and sausage pizza was totally delicious and would have to order this again on a return visit. Yes, I would come back.. Many rave about the drinks here too, but on this day we did not imbibe. Would like to stop in and try eventually. The only small knock on this place was using the Groupon. It had confusing restrictions and we were able to redeem it, but I felt like in the end it really wasn't much of a discount. It did still though provide some savings, which is for sure a good way to hit up a new restaurant.

Location is in a good area. The food was good, and the restaurant was neat inside. My only dilemma was the service - i was in the middle of ordering my wine when the host pulled our waiter to go attend another table. The waiter nor the host apologized nor bothered saying "I'm sorry we will be right back to finish taking your order." He simply just left me talking to the air. Not sure i would come back.

    Cristina C.

The seafood was fresh and well seasoned. The bread was also new baked when it got to our table. We came around lunch time on a Friday and the place was completely empty, the server was kind and attentive. We will visit again since we were so happy with our meals!

Cicciotti's Trattoria Italiana & Seafood is my go-to Italian restaurant. It's at a wonderful location on the corner of Grand and Roosevelt in the heart of Carlsbad Village. There's an option for indoor or outdoor seating. Love the atmosphere...very welcoming and casual with a touch of sophistication. When we were seated and placed our order, the service was fantástico from start to finish. I had unforgettable fabulous dining experience. I enjoyed their flavorful authentic food which was filling...asked for to-go boxes. It was absolutely deliziosa! I highly, highly recommend!!

I ended up about three blocks away in a residential area on a busy Saturday night. The cozy atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff does a good job weaving among the six tables in the dining room and six on the patio. Conversations are tougher inside. This is a natural wine bar, so some classiciists might not like the styles. Little Victory has a jammed, two-sided wine list (red and white) in incredibly small type. Natural wines often look and taste distinct from conventional bottles. They are frequently unfiltered and unfined, leaving them slightly cloudy with sediment. Expect vibrant acidity and complex flavor profiles that lean toward the earthy, savory. Bottle variation is common. Off-flavors and aromes include mousiness, excess volatile acidity (vinegar notes), or Brettanomyces (wet cardboard). Our waitress was patient and let us taste five whites, which were too funky for most of us (not fruit-driven noses and palates like most California wines). I settled on the Austrian 2024 Wurzinger Grüner Veltliner Früg, $17 BTG. It was cloudy, with some lime, floral, and yeasty nose; tight acids; and a tart finish. We did enjoy a fruity, balanced 2021 Viticultor Goyo Garcia Viadero Joven de Viejas Viñas, Ribera del Duero ($72 bottle; $25 at retail); and a good Temecula red blend, 2023 Lost Ranch Winery Moonshadow (53% Nero d'Avola; 47% Syrah; $17 by the glass). For appetizers, the four of us shared the olives ($8), bread and butter plate ($9), cheese platter ($18), and beef tartare ($25). Other things we shared were the local catch, $33; roasted octopus, $31; and the peach and fennel salad, $22. The octopus drew the most raves. The catch was a bit dry. Service was friendly, very helpful and responsive to our questions about the wines and the different dishes on the menu. The food runners were timely in bringing out our different dishes. Little Victory should do well in this bustling foodie town.
