Fish taco

Love little taco stands with history! Rauls makes the cut! Solid street taco performance, we had pollo and carne asada tacos with guacamole and baja fish tacos topped with white sauce, plus their yummy salsa. Patio seating was available during the Encinitas monthly car show, so we dined in. Not fancy and not super fast but good!

We were walking around looking for a place to eat because The Taco Stand had way too long of a wait! We saw this place and it turned out to be great! They have a tiny parking lot (but you can find parking on the side streets). Seating is not plenty but we managed to find a spot inside. I ordered the adobada taco and carne asada taco. I preferred the carne asada flavor but both were good!

Been coming here for years, solid and inexpensive spot! Rolled tacos or flautas are my fav so ordered the chicken rolled tacos. Good crispiness, tasty shredded chicken, and a generous amount of guacamole and cheese added for just under $8. You can order the beans, rice and extra toppings for a bit more. Quick service. Fairly clean little interior area of the shack, and lots of tables and chairs now right outside.

Tacos are really good. The vibes are okay. I think they're under construction right now so the area isn't too pretty. Staff is pretty friendly and seem nice.

Quick, tasty & fresh food plus good salsa, good customer service, easy ordering, seating, easy to find parking, and reasonable prices = 5 stars Had the CA Burrito and Taquito Burrito with chicken. Both hit the spot and satisfied my Mexican food craving. Next time I'll get the rolled tacos rather than the taquito burrito. It was good and the taquitos were crunchy and fresh but the tortilla wrapped around it didn't do much besides hold it together.

They have upgraded a lot since my last visit. They now accept cash and credit card. They went digital with their menu too. They have kiosks on the side that you can order from as well. I ordered the carne asada nachos and they were okay. The chips tasted stale and old. The toppings were good, I love pico de gallo. It's conveniently located right by the beach so I'll be back just on location.

He is such a good orderer he ordered for me because I was nervous

We came in with the yummys! Just my buddy and me. Oooo yum yum this was one of those meals where you are "ooooooo I feel so good this taste so good" and your friend looks at you and goes "oh yeah that's what I'm TALKING about." You gotta to try it simple yet delightful.

Stopped here for lunch. Wow this place is AMAZING. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had from this little shack. You go up to the counter and order and they hand you a pager. I ordered the beef Taquito burrito. My husband ordered the fish tacos and a carnitas crispy taco. All of the food was amazing. I will be thinking about the Taquito burrito for a long time. It was delicious with cheese and guacamole inside it. My husband loved his food too. The fish tacos were so good. If you are looking for the good Mexican food you hear about San Diego having, Raul's is where you need to go. And the price is not bad at all! I honestly don't know how places like chipotle etc stay in business out here when you have amazing Mexican places like this for the same price. 5 stars

The food was absolutely outstanding!! I saw the reviews on the carne asada burrito and i got it! The portion was sort of big but super good and i ate it allllll!! The service was alright, but when I asked for salsa, all he said was red or green? I just asked for both but i would definitely say mild or hot next time friend. The area is cool, little seating but still super AMAZING

The parking lot has plentiful parking but was completely full as I was leaving around 12pm. There were tons of order pick-up spots and 20-minute max parking spots that help with the flow. The restaurant was impeccably clean with a growing line of lunch-goers. The workers were very efficient and the line moved quickly. I also noticed the apparent owner/manager talking to regulars and greeting customers as they walked in, which I really liked to see! I was served my order to-go in less than 10 minutes and ended up unexpectedly using the other 10 minutes after taking my first bite--after that it was hard to stop. The burrito was the perfect size (not too large and not too small). My original breakfast burrito was wrapped in a fresh hand-made tortilla filled with fluffy eggs, the perfect amount of bacon, cheese, soft fresh potatoes, topped with the avocado salsa verde which went perfectly with everything. I even ended up sipping the salsa (it was that good) between bites of the burrito. I was also blown away by the clean and fully stocked salsa bar. So many options (including non-spicy ones for those with gastric limitations too!) and they even offered radishes, carrots, and pickled onions individually wrapped with care. Everything tasted fresh and home-made. After 7 years being away from San Diego, Los Tacos delivered exactly what I had been missing. This location really blew me away and I will definitely be back to see what else it has to offer.

It's located in a beautiful shopping plaza called the forum so a great place to shop and then eat, or eat and then shop.. Now enter Jasmine, who just took care of everything with again a huge smile and what can I do for you? We started with skinny margaritas, perfect and delicious with chips and salsa. My wife had the chicken tostada, which was huge and delicious. I went on Jasmine's recommendation, chicken flautas, and they were great. But what made it fun was that everyone else was having fun a great vibe plus outdoor seating if you want it and easy parking.

Got to the restaurant and the hosts were too busy messing around to properly greet us. Once I got their attention I let them know we were there and they said they'd have us seated shortly. A LITERAL HOUR later we got a table. Seeing that it took so long to be sat (well past our expected duration) you'd think service would be fast! Nope. Our server didn't check in with us for over 10 minutes. Next (finally) came the chips. We put in our entire order as soon as we could (as it was now almost 1.5 hours past when we thought we would be eating). Drinks came in random shifts, waters were NOT refilled. Now, to be 100% honest, the food was GREAT! Fantastic quality, great selection, even our pickiest kid was happy with her meal. So I do give credit where credit is due. The food was fantastic. But the customer service was incredibly lacking. Visit at your own risk!

Having set my Apple Maps before reading the description of the restaurant, my wife and I set our course on the way back from the San Diego Zoo. I didn't want to get home too late and the parking situation for the better restaurants near the zoo didn't look promising so we decided to go further away from San Diego to find a place on the way home near the 5 freeway. Cancun may not look like much but the food is pretty freaking amazing. My surf and turf burrito filled with generous amounts of shrimp and carne asada was incredible. Adding sour cream and guacamole just put it on another level. No burritos like this near my home. My wife's shrimp plate was also a winner. Lots of shrimp. My wife's only gripe was not enough rice and beans. Even the side of corn tortillas was moist and tasty. I'm not sure if they make their own tortillas but it seemed like it. Even the french fries are incredible. Nice and crispy but not dry. I thought I'd still be hungry after just the burrito but I had no idea what a monster it is. Even after eating 3/4 of it, the remainder was still heavy. The older lady working the register is so sweet. A little hard to understand since she has a thick accent but very nice and helpful. The cook was cool too. Very happy when I stopped before leaving to tell them the food was "delicioso". Don't let the gas station scare you away. The food is jammin'! I plan on stopping by again when I attend Comic-con next year.
