Tomato and unseasoned potatoes in a supposed breakfast burrito!
    Paul N.

Come on Jorge's! Tomatoes in a breakfast burrito?, Really, raw onion? One piece of bacon?? Unseasoned potatoes in a breakfast burrito? Only one salsa option, no tomatillo/green salsa? Yes your chicken soup is good but let's focus on your other menu items!

Machado Burrito is good size for under $11

TRUST THOSE WHO YELP REGULARLY... Open just 2 weeks at this point, so I'm hoping reviewers and time will improve this Taqueria. My buddy had 3 tacos (see photos) and I had a machaca burrito... a good way to assess a quality place. Sadly, the machaca was not great... needs more ehhs, the meat was fatty, and it was all grease at the bottom. The only Salsa they [currwntly] have is red and HOT! It's made in-house, so that's a plus, but can't say it's good, as I couldn't eat much of it. Not yet ready to recommend Jorge's with Regal Seagull, Le Papagayo, and other good eateries very nearby. Most amazing fish tacos that I have ever had on a Wednesday afternoon in Leucadia. 100% worth the detour!!

Good Mexican food - and with properly spicy salsa! We don't live near by but while we were visiting Encinitas we ate here twice.

The veggie filling was good -Shrimp dumplings (4/5): decent and juicy shrimp filling -Pork XLB soup dumplings (4.5/5): juicy pork filling, broth was good and flavorful -Pork chop scallion oil noodle (5/5): crispy and juicy pork chop, noodles were nicely chewy and flavorful and not too salty -Beef wonton w/ chili sauce (2/5): not very flavorful and only spicy -Garlic butter edamame (5/5): delicious garlic butter seasoning, our group loved this -Cucumber salad (2/5): just alright and a little sour, cucumber was crunchy -Beef potstickers (4/5): filled with juicy meat, nicely crispy on the bottom -Chinese churro (5/5): delicious, crispy and not too sweet! As noted by its name, this place served a fusion of Chinese and Korean cuisines. Their Encinitas location took over what used to be a roadside diner along N Coast Hwy 101. The seating capacity was less than 40 people which included a few high-top counter spots. At my last visit, I came for a late dinner before their closing time. A large menu was posted on the wall behind the service counter that listed about two dozen food offerings. The items seemed to be comfort food like pot stickers, spring rolls, fried rice, and chicken wings but flavored with unique combinations of seasonings and spices. I started my meal with the Marinated Beef Tri-Tip Skewers which came as a set of three and a Chinese mustard for dipping. The meat was very tender and well-seasoned. I also ordered the Cumin Lamb Stir Fry which the cashier said was medium spicy. After tasting a couple of bites of the noodles from the serving bowl, I agreed that the heat level was moderate, even for my palate. I thought the portion size should have been more for the price. That was my main criticism for both items, otherwise the food was solid for an Asian fusion eatery.

Not like boiling hot but it just "cold" for me and is on a cup for $8? I try the NEW salmon bowl. I can understand the customer service likewise but again it just the food itself and not that fresh, rice was cold as well and took longer to made. There is only 1 person working at that time I don't for the wait time it just the food taste for me. For one time try is ok I might give it a try again in the future. The thing I love for first time try here is the bread only. Is savory. They need to clean all the table and sanitize as well each time customer leave. I Will try again in the future.

The Santa Maria BBQ sandwich has good BBQ flavor, although it won't be winning any awards in any BBQ contests. It comes with bacon, cheese, slaw, and dressing. It's a solid choice. The Club sandwich is also very good. It comes turkey, bacon, avocado, cheese, and some various veggies. Both sandwiches came with a very nice and fresh side salad. The bread here is obviously made fresh. If you order on the app, first time users get a freshly-baked cookie. And that cookie is very good. Solid choice for very fresh sandwiches and an excellent cookie.

Food: I ordered the Panang curry with boiled tofu, and it was so flavorful, warm, and comforting. It was a bit too spicy for me (I should have asked for an adjustment), but I definitely recommend. My friend and I shared the spring rolls (the peanut sauce was warm and very flavorful) and the mango sticky rice (one of the best I have - sweet and salty, creamy). Service/Ambiance: My friend and I went when it was a little less busy and it was raining outside, so we were able to sit inside! Service was great - very kind, attentive staff. And the inside of this place has very cool decor - great ambiance! Vegan: Overall, this was a great place for vegans/vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They had mock meats for meat eaters and those who are curious to try, but also had options for extra veggies, tofu, and chickpeas/beans. Will definitely bring my vegan/vegetarian friends here. Also mentioned we were there for a birthday but they did nothing special food-wise, no embellishment to plate nor complementary dessert for birthday person which was a bit disappointing considering many places do.
