We went there on Saturday morning for brunch. The front desk guy told us that it would be 25 mins to an hour wait time. We were okay with that and signed in. To start off the guy was super rude (he was trying to be funny by asking me to "slow down my ass" while I was giving my name and number, which I did not find funny at all. Anyways, we waited inside the restaurant for 59 mins...people who signed in after us were given a table. So we decided to go and tell the front desk guy that we have been waiting since an hour..the reply was " well you still have a min" and then ended up NOT seating us for that one min !! We were visiting a friend this past weekend who doesn't live too far from this location of ABEC and she strongly recommended we go for brunch, the prior night when we walked by it. On looking at the menu, it's typical brunch fare but the food was delicious. All three of us ordered a different version of their omelette and we were all satisfied with our choices. It was my first time to have breakfast here and the staff are very nice, clean and foods are delicious, they have all different kinds of breakfast omelets. Mimosas and Bloody Marys (house-made infused bell pepper vodka) are on point! Eggs were cooked perfect, excellent breakfast potatoes. I ordered the Strawberry Pound Cake French Toast because I was under the impression it would be French Toast that tastes like pound cake. Nope. I wound up eating pound cake slices dipped in French Toast batter for breakfast. Would be a nice dessert, but it was a super heavy breakfast. Remembering Another Broken Egg Cafe, I went over there to see what they could do for me. I'm glad I did, I had a good experience. There were a few in line around 11ish, but the wait was only 5-10 minutes tops and very doable. The hostess staff was nice and courteous. I chose to take a seat at the bar seeing I was solo, and I like that area a lot at ABEC. I was actually happy to be placed there than the tables. The whole interior is done well, bright and nice decor, clean as well. I ordered three scrambled eggs, two pancakes, and a large glass of cranberry juice. Service was great...prompt, courteous, and attentive. There was not a long wait for food turnaround and my order was ready fairly quickly. Great scrambled eggs...nice and fluffy, not just slapped on the grill and hacked up a bit (yeah, I'm looking at you, Waffle House). The eggs hit the spot, and the pancakes were light and tasty as well. Great breakfast all around. To top it all off, the price was surprisingly great. Bottom line: A great breakfast experience. A lot has changed so nce the pandemic. Food quality is subpar. I got French toast and while there was a huge quantity the quality was lacking. Flavorless and gummy. No maple syrup. Eggs were ordered over medium - I got crispy on outside and runny inside. The waitress was shocking. I ordered herbal tea and asked what was available. Her answer? "I don't drink cheap tea". She was a former stewardess and was "spoiled" she added" Not sure why she felt she had to share her ire about Biden and how the pandemic was a hoax. Was it because I was wearing a mask? Came here again for lunch with colleagues on a Friday. We got various omelette and shrimp and grits. Food was really really really good as usual. But service was very slow. I never minded it on a weekend day when I came in for brunch, but for lunch during workdays I do feel that it's taking a bit too long for everything--taking orders, bringing out the food, getting the check etc. Overall still good experience but probably will try not to come for lunch during workdays. read more

We usually come here about once a year. The food is consistently good, but the prices are also consistently high. I enjoy some the cajun spin they do on some of their dishes. The shrimp and grits had a nice little kick to them (which is right down my alley). We started off with some beignets and they came out warm and yummy. My wife had the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes and mentioned she was a little underwhelmed by the flavors of her dish. I can say they do make a mean bloody mary and my wife said her Irish coffee had a kick to it as well. Our waiter was pretty attentive at first but mysteriously vanished when we were ready to go. There is nothing like the feeling when you have somewhere to be, but you are being held hostage due to needing to pay for your meal. Speaking of, I honestly would of given this place a higher star rating if the prices were not so darn high. For 2 people at lunch time, our bill was over $50?!?! Here for Friday lunch in a group of four. Probably my 3rd or 4th time here now. It's only open for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Service: Slow service for only a half full place. Took nearly half an hour after ordering for us to get our food. Atmosphere: Cute, quaint place that's spacious and bright and reminds you of your grandmother's place with the eclectic decor. Food: Got the shrimp'n grits and switched out the andouille sausage for turkey sausage because I don't eat pork. Grits were cheesy as advertised, the dish wasn't too salty which can be the case with shrimp, and great flavor from the reduction and red peppers. Not very spicy either if that's a concern for some. I would really give the place a 3.5 for the slow service but I've been here before at busier times and didn't have this problem so hence the four stars. I did a take out for a business meeting. I was a little skeptical due to reviews on service, but wanted to provide more than a bagel. Service was as everyone said-took 30 minutes for my to-go brunch for two people. That being said, the order was correct, they packed cutlery and the food was very good! On a busy morning where I had to skip breakfast I was happy to be near Another Broken Egg location. I was seated immediately and my server came over and asked what I wanted to drink. Coffee & water were brought out and I was ready to order. I was not disappointed. I had pancake stack with lemon goat cheese on top and a side of bacon. For those of you hesitating over the goat cheese don't let that stop you. It was not overwhelming and very delicious. Another Broken Egg is a breakfast and brunch restaurant at Park West Village and the hours are 7am to 2pm. It is corporate with an attempt to make the decor familiar and comfortable. We arrived early on a Saturday and were greeted by four different people (server, hostess, jubilant person and by someone else). We were seated at a two top by the window. The table was wobbly and the leg was not even so I had to say something. I don't like a table shaking when I cut into my food. We were moved to another table in the corner with a stable base and our server followed and we placed a drink order. Another server then immediately followed and asked for our drinks choices because we got moved to her section. I know I threw off the entire structure by asking to move tables and it finally resolved itself. Another couple was immediately seated at the wobbly table and there was no concern to fix it. The menu offers omelettes with crabmeat and cream cheese and then more traditional egg creations. I ordered an omelette and the menu says it comes with a choice of grits or potatoes. I asked the server if I need to pick one because she did not ask which side I wanted. If I had not asked, I guess the default is potatoes. The restaurant filled up and it took a while for our two items to come out. My omelette was fine yet I cannot say it was anything anything special. Overall, my favorite thing was the coffee mug because it looked like handmade pottery and stood out. For $34, I am going to try other breakfast restaurants next time. Came here for late brunch on a Wednesday morning, not too busy and good parking availability for a packed strip mall area. Party of 4, seated right away in a very covid sanitary environment. Everyone ordered something different, the French Toast w/fresh fruits looked amazing. My Western style omelette was awesome, potatoes excellent and loved having a fresh muffin vice toast! Our ladies had different omlette's also, both were very pleased also. Coffee was hot, service was quick and our waitress was very, very friendly and knew how to a service a table full of people. We were not attended to for a good amount of time. Even then the server rushed the order and didn't have time to describe the item too. We orderd a coffee, a benedict, omlette and a napoleon temptation. Coffee - burnt. Definitely not worth $3.49 Omlette- mushy Benedict - it was okay but not great. Napoleon Temptation- burnt pancake. So bad that it was crunchy. Suggestion to the chef -- if something is burnt don't send it out. People will understand things like that. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. This place could be amazing. Place hasn't been cleaned in looks like a long time. Floors are never mopped or swept. The booths need attention as well. Dirty walls and window sills. Very nice brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe! I knew that it would be busy so I joined the online wait list on Yelp. When I first looked around 9:30am it said the wait was a reasonable 20 minutes. I planned to be there at 11 so I decided to check in at 10:30. Well, by that time the line had grown significantly to almost an hour wait. So I would recommend that you check the wait list often if you really want to be there at a certain time. However, I joined the wait list and headed over there, arriving about 11:10. My GPS direction took me to Target or something. But it's across the way, in the shopping center with Zoe's Kitchen and some other stuff. It's right next to Chili's! So don't let your GPS take you in circles around the roundabout. They told me 20 minutes when I got there, even though I had joined the wait list 30-40 minutes before. However, I think we waited about 10 minutes. I got a call and a text that my table was ready, both automated, so they make sure that they don't miss you. My friend and I were seated at a small table in the corner. It didn't feel crowded or cramped at all. The atmosphere is intimate and the noise level was really reasonable. Even though it was so busy, we didn't feel like we were in a crowded place. We had our own space. Our waitress, Maya, gave us a lot of attention. My friend and I were talking so much that it took a while to focus up and order but Maya was very patient. She answered all our questions and gave us suggestions. My friend didn't want the standard sides and Maya made sure that she presented her with some other options. I tried the Strawberry and Black Cherry mimosas. I definitely preferred the strawberry because it was sweeter. Even the strawberry garnish was really sweet. The black cherry had a strong black cherry flavor and was less sweet. I also sampled my friend's Blueberry Lemon mimosa. It didn't have a strong taste of blueberry or lemon. It mostly tasted like champagne. It took a little while for our food to come out. But I didn't really mind because I was busy chatting and drinking mimosas. It wasn't a bad wait. Our food came and it looked so good, I forgot to take a picture. I got the Cinnamon Roll. It was this crunch cinnamon roll french toast with cream cheese glaze and foster sauce, fruit and whipped cream on top. It was so delicious. The cinnamon roll was crunchy on the edges, soft in the middle. Perfectly cooked. It was sweet but not too sweet. The bite with the fruits was perfect. Wow, I'm still thinking about it. I'm definitely coming back for that cinnamon roll. It also came with eggs, which were cooked well. The homemade sausage was flavorful. It was definitely enough food. Too much!
