Went to the Fount for breakfast because it was close my hotel. This must be one of the most popular coffee shops in the area because the line to the door or beyond the entire time I was there. I had the yogurt bowl and my customary black coffee. The yogurt was a large portion and was very good. Coffee was a little strong and bitter, probably designed to have additives rather than being drank black. Pairing with the yogurt made it taste a lot better though. Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. It was a bit noisy inside, just because there were a lot of customers and everyone was talking. The store is clean and bright with a neat little riser on one side. My only complaint was that there were no refills. That's unusual for black, drip coffee. read more

The menu is very limited, which doesn't bother me, but if you are looking for a lot of choices, you're not getting them here. I ordered the cream sickle latte and yogurt bowl. My yogurt bowl was delicious and refreshing. You could tell that the ingredients were homemade. The coffee was also amazing, I could taste the coffee and it was not too sweet. My daughter had a coffee cake and she absolutely adored it. Inside was crowded and very busy, but I think that's a reflection on how many people wanna try this place. What a fabulous find! Just spending the night in Raleigh and had a great sleep at the Delta by Marriott when I went searching for a morning coffee shop to do some laptop work. Recommended by other yelpers, Fount did not disappoint! The Customer Service was a true ray of sunshine, my flat white was absolutely perfect and I splurged and tried the coffee cake. I'm not a huge breakfast person--I'm usually the type that just nurses a coffee and silently judges early risers--but I ordered their yogurt bowl and I'm still thinking about it. It was a generous (and I mean generous) portion of plain Greek yogurt--none of that overly sweet vanilla nonsense. It came drizzled with honey, topped with bee pollen, their house-made granola (which needs to be sold by the bucket), and the juiciest blackberries I've ever seen outside of a Pinterest board. I fully intended to eat half... and then licked the bowl clean like a respectable adult. I also tried their seasonal Mango Pineapple smoothie and let me just say--chef's kiss. It was refreshing, tropical, and felt like vacation in a cup. The space was clean, airy, and had that "I'm doing something good for my body and my soul" vibe. We sat outside as it was a little too loud inside for us. The service was snappy. We had our drinks then our food way quicker than I expected considering how busy it was. I'll definitely be back. Fount is officially my new go-to for a feel-good, elevated breakfast that doesn't feel like a gut bomb. Highly recommend. Absolutely fantastic coffee shop. Clean, modern, and fun interior with plenty of seating options for all sorts of groups. There are tables inside and out (when the weather is good they even open the garage door so that it morphs into one large space), comfortable and ample seating, and even some fun multilevel bench style seats inside allowing for you to work, hang out with a small group, or even just quickly grab some coffee. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. The coffee options were plentiful, with options for whatever your preferences may be whether you're more of a coffee enthusiast looking for lighter roast to taste all the notes, or enjoy more flavored and decadent drinks. One thing that was an incredibly exciting surprise the last time I went were the whole beans they had for sale from Fritz Coffee (imported from Korea im pretty sure). I had to grab a bag despite them being a bit pricey as they were freshly roasted too (price was expected for something like that). A slight down point for me though was the food, got a couple chocolate chip cookies and they were very much not worth it. Overall though would highly recommend and will likely return, though do need to be careful of timings as there can be quite the rush due to high demand. read more

Apparently this place is the Hot Spot! It was packed when I arrived around 1145. I mean standing room only inside and out. The have some stadium style, booths, tables, group tables, computer / working seats , outdoor seating g and everything. So there are seats- just non available. I heard someone behind me chatting about everything being healthy, gluten free and some mention of coconut sugar. So if this is all true...the food confirmed it? It tasted good enough- not horrible and did not blow me away with yumminess. I had chai tea w almond milk- tasted fine, not better or worse than Starbucks. Believe me I want better. Avocado toast w an egg- was good. The avocado was really mashed into a whipped situation with red pepper flakes( thumbs up) and some type of pine nut or seed. Then I got the coffee cake Togo. So the bread items were all gluten free. I didn't mind the toast- was just extra crunch around the ends and chewy- yummm... but the coffee cake had good flavor and tasted kinda mushy. We made this one of our last coffee shop stops during my friend's yearly visit. The reviews were so good it was a no brainer we had to stop. My friend had an iced mocha and I ordered a honey cinnamon latte as well as a wild mushroom stack. The atmosphere is open and airy with a chic look and access to outdoor seating. Very nice and relaxing place to sit and enjoy a coffee and conversation. When our drinks arrived I noticed my latte didn't look right and immediately realized I had forgotten to ask for almond milk. I took a tiny sip and realized that was the case. The server (her name is Toney-Paite) was watching while I was sipping and realized my order wasn't right. She came over and corrected it for me even though it was my own mistake. This was super impressive that the server was paying such close attention to customers detail! The mushroom stack topping was delicious. Loved the combination of lemon flavor in the ricotta with the sautéed mushrooms and balsamic glaze. I didn't love the bread but it was gluten free and just not to my taste. The restrooms are clean and are set up for customer comfort and needs, I see feminine products on a shelf with a bowl of mints on another shelf. Very impressive, I've not seen this anywhere else. Included in the seating is bleacher seating with charging outlets for those who are working while here. Overall I will come back when in the area to enjoy a coffee or lunch and highly recommend. What happened to the great coffee you used to serve? I haven't been here in a while because they close early, but you can see from a previous review I raved about this place. Went today for the orange cream sickle latte. Doesn't that sound delicious? Well it wasn't. It so watered down and just a hint of orange and not sweet. And while I don't like my lattes very sweet, I do want some sugar. I have never had a bad coffee from this place until today and it could have just been a fluke or the barista, but I'm tired of paying good money for bad food. My go to fav - the rosemary cashews - even tasted different. Service was great as usual and it's a great place to chat, work and chill. But I wanted to make this known because I feel like I'm just throwing away money and I don't have it like that. I'll probably go back to see if the other menu items are still the same. read more

I trekked out to Morrisville because I had heard so many good things about Fount. They get pretty busy and I did have to wait in line, but the line wasn't too bad. They have a lot of seating both inside and outside, so I was still able to find a table. I got the Morning Scramble toast, which was really good! If I'm paying $8 for a slice of toast, this is the quality I would expect it to be. I also tried a Strawberry Chocolate muffin, which was alright. It felt like a normal chocolate chip muffin and the strawberry didn't really come through. My friend got a matcha which looked like a nice shade of green! Happy to report that Fount Coffee has really redeemed itself for me - it's just a matter of finding the right drink! The Golden Milk Latte really wasn't for me, but I've been back a few times and tried their seasonal lattes (with espresso) and they've all been fantastic. The environment is still really bustling and busy, so it's still difficult to find a seat, but they at least have some bleachers that you can sit at if you need to. read more

Whether at a table or at these fun block seating on the side, or next to the baristas- this place is usually pretty packed though so sometimes it can be hard to find a seat. You just have to be diligent in watching for any movements of people getting up! This time I got the açaí smoothie bowl- super refreshing and I love their granola, the coconut flakes, and fresh fruit. All of it together with the açaí makes for a refreshing meal/snack :) Avocado smash is pretty good! I'd say add a bit more seasoning, but overall is great with the added tender and juicy chicken. Have to come for their coffee/drinks too though! A lot of people come here to study or just catch up with a friend/group. read more

I ordered 2 salads: (Buffalo Cauliflower Caesar Salad & Roasted Root Salad) to go for lunch and back home I realised the portions were so small- even when we shared it was not really a lunch for 2. We are talking about 27$ for this. A little bit disapointed by the portions but the salad was good. The place is still great and charming with a large open space. This Fount Coffee + Kitchen is a gem. I was in town for a week or so from CA, with my partner. We stopped here a few times, and we were absolutely in love with their gluten free pastries. We tried their coffee cake, chocolate chip cook, and I believe a chocolate chip pumpkin muffin. All gluten free, dairy free and egg free. Its so hard to find a coffee shop that sells gluten free pastries that are actually delicious, and I say this as someone who lives in CA. We loved this place so much, before our flight we went in to snag chocolate chip cookies for our flight back hehe. The staff is also really nice, and every time we were there it was a busy.
