I love Meeple's! I had the best time coworking here with some friends. My bf and I come here for breakfast all the time. We usually order the werewolf waffle. This time I got the Cupid waffle, which was delectable but also super sweet. If you like strawberry jam, it's a must try. My favorite drink is their tiramisu latte. Super cute place with every board game imaginable! It has a very cozy vibe, with a lot of people on their laptops and a few people playing card games when I went. I was really excited to try the croiffle, though I ended up quite disappointed to discover that it was literally just a croissant warmed up in a waffle iron. Not sure what I expected, but I guess I thought it would be more of a freshly made waffle. Next time I will try the waffles instead. Anyway, service was fast and friendly! Service was ok wasnt really helpful with suggestions they were pretty much out of everything I tried to order which was extremely frustrating seeing as it was my first time here and I already wasnt familiar with the menu. Bottom line: Cute little coffee shop in Morrisville with delicious coffee beverages and interesting eats to offer. There is a board game library that customers can "check out" games to play while there, which makes it unique around here. The Deets: I've seen Meeple's Brew pics and reviews for a while now, and finally got by to try out this local coffee shop/eatery/board game cafe. It is located down near the O2 Fitness location at Park Place shopping center in Morrisville. There is ample seating both outside and inside, with some tables inside large enough for small groups. It's nicely decorated and quaint with a hint of modern inside. Some electrical outlets are available at some seats/tables but not every one I found. Across from the ordering counter is a large shelf of board games that can be "checked out" for use (at the time of this writing there is a $5/day "Library Pass" advertised by poster). At the ordering counter, you can find the beverage and food menus as well as menus for board games to select as well. For both of my visits recently, I had their skim latte to drink and both were excellent. On my second visit, I decided to try out some items on their food menu. I started out with the cheesy scone, which the cashier did point out had a bit of seasoning to it...I am glad she did, as one bite I took had quite a kick to it! It was delicious although I could have done without the spiciness I encountered in that one bite. I also ordered their ham/egg/cheese sandwich called the Hammified but when I found out that the only way the eggs were served there, even on sandwiches, were hard-boiled then I decided to skip on the egg (hard-boiled eggs are really not my thing now). The resulting toasted ham and cheese sandwich was pretty tasty, even with no melt to the cheese it was not bad. I also saw at the next table over some pretty amazing looking waffle creations, if you like a lot of things on your waffles. Of note, the customer gets a beeper to let them know their order is ready, and honestly wished they had a silent/vibrate mode as it does break the mood of the cafe when one goes off loudly. However for the most part I like this little coffee shop/cafe in Morrisville and from the amount of customers I saw coming in each visit, looks like many feel the same way. Oh read more

I recently went to Meeples Brew to catch up with and old friend. It was the first time there for both of us, and we had the best time seeing each other, reminiscing, and sharing new ventures. Meeples really such a cozy and inviting space that brings that out and makes you want to stay longer. They had quite a bit of seating and large tables that are perfect for groups to gather to study or enjoy the large selection of games on the wall. I ordered the honey lavender latte with whipped cream. I'm not a coffee gal, but this was a nice light flavor that I think other non-coffee drinkers would appreciate. One of the amazing places to hangout in RTP! My husband wanted to really try a fancy art coffee in the area and we ended up finding this gem. Since then I have gone back here a couple of times including when I wait for my AAA appointments, conveniently in the same complex. They have a delicious selection of coffee. We have tried waffle on one of our morning visits and it was good. Their breakfast menu is not extensive but complements the coffee. The highlight of this quaint little place are the several stacked up games. When I first found this place, I was curious to see how it exactly was, but let me say this might be one of my favorite coffee shops in the triangle now. Pictured is their lavender honey latte and I think this rates in my top 5 latte drinks I've ever had. It was honestly very smooth and the honey lavender pairs really well. To note, it is definitely slightly on the sweeter side. My friend got their regular black coffee and that was also great. I think what I really love about this place is the atmosphere. They have a board game wall with the most games I have ever seen. It definitely looks like a place you can come to study but then also relax with your friends to play a couple board games. Oddly enough, what surprisingly impressed me was the bathroom and how progressive it was. They had different hygienic products in the bathroom which I had never seen a restaurant/coffee shop ever do before. The staff was also great and friendly to interact with. LOVE this place! If you're into cards and board games, this place is for you. Its a great place for a group of friends or a fun date night. It's $5 per person to play and you have access to all the games. They have traditional games such as Life and other newer games for selection based on your interests/preferences. I visited with a friend and we opted for a 2 person game. There is dedicated staff there to recommend games based on level of difficulty and your interests. Additionally, they are great in walking through how to plan the game if you haven't before. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but I can imagine this place gets packed during peak hours. I didn't know they had two locations! I thought I was going to the original location, but no complaints about stumbling into the new location accidentally. It was quaint and clean, and the specialty latte I ordered was not too sweet! I got the iced latte miel and stayed for about an hour or so on a weekday morning. I have now been twice to Meeple's Brew. Tried last week with my granddaughter but they were having Marvel trivia and it was packed! We grabbed some delicious coffee brews, looked at the games and left. We were really excited to go back last night. It was not as packed so we were able to get a seat, a couple of smoothies and picked out an easy game we had never played. We had a really great time with no phones, just games and conversation. Interesting place in a strip mall, reminded me more of a college hangout. One of the bigger type coffee shops, lots of seating, outdoor with some heaters too. Their main draw is the 100's of board games you can play here, you can literally be here all day. Pretty much what every table was doing on a Sunday afternoon! Except a couple which were working I assume on a laptop. Huge array of games, with a game expert on hand to explain each one, that was his job and he knew everything! Great concept. Their coffee bar was a full service, any type of espresso coffee you want, they also had some seasonal ones. Also had a breakfast menu , waffle specialty menu, with some great sounding toppings. A few sweet treats to choose from, wish they had the orange chocolate scone which sounded great but they were all out. We had cappuccinos, lattes and a peppermint hot chocolate. All really nice freshly made, and great brews. Hit the 3pm slump very well. Not too milky and they had all the million types of milks out there these days. Used to really enjoy coming here, but lately their staff and food have been much worse. Service is slow and mistakes with orders are frequent, food is served cold, and staff is aloof and unpleasant. Food prices are pretty high, too. It's a shame, since I remember having some really positive experiences here with particular staff members helping out with board game recommendations and enjoying some good flatbreads. We came here hoping for a cute, cozy coffee shop vibe with board games. We ordered two drinks and a Croiffle (basically a croissant they put in a waffle maker). While we waited, we noticed it was extremely cold, not cozy at all for a coffee shop. Additionally, you have to pay extra money to play the games. So then, we waited an absurd amount of time for coffee. The croissant took about 10 mins to come out. The drinks took 25 mins to get. When we looked in the kitchen, the 3 people they had working seemed to not know what they were doing, and moving at a snail's pace. We also watched a large group of people who showed some cult-like behavior (think a main guy telling them "as the king, I am blah blah blah connection is just maintained tension", one guy was holding a fork up in the air for several minutes) at a table that blocked the entry into the cafe, who randomly started doing martial arts moves on each other? The whole vibe was just WEIRD. The only saving grace was that the coffee was decent. It's a hard pass for us on returning, for a multitude of reasons. read more

It's a cool concept but when it comes to food, this isn't the place to eat good eats. We ordered 4 things: - hot matcha latte - Iced matcha latte - cinnamon pancakes - coffee pancakes/waffles You would think it would take less than 30 mins? Nope- we waited for at least 40 mins... And when we received our food and drinks, they were subpar. My hot matcha latte was not even close to hot and it seems that the powder wasn't fully mixed in. The pancakes/waffles were also cold and wasn't impressive. It was a waste of $$ to be honest. I wouldn't recommend this place for food. But I would recommend for a cool spot to hang out with friends and I would maybe try the drinks again. read more

How this place got 4.5 stars is beyond me. The two stars are based on the coffee and board games. We went here for Mother's Day. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get coffee and some horrible sandwiches. Tasteless and just bland. I could have walked over to food lion and bought the ingredients for a nice sandwich and just bought coffee. The service was so slow and I could not figure out what made it take so long. Meeple's Brew is tucked in a strip mall with indoor and outdoor seating. I came here around 9 on a Friday and the cafe had plenty of room to get some work done. The shop has a board game theme and all the food menu items are named accordingly. There are also plenty of board games and big tables to play the games. In the morning, it is a great, calm place to get some work done while you enjoy a cup of coffee. I had the cold brew with oat milk and it was probably some of the best cold brew I've had in a while. They served the cold brew in a cup along with the oat milk on the side so I could add as much as I preferred. I had never gotten a cold brew like this but I loved it! The oat milk was the perfect amount of creamy. I would recommend this place if you're craving a cup of cold brew. I also ordered the 'Proteinthesis' which did not live up to the cold brew, but was still ok. The only complaint I had about the toast was the amount red pepper flakes they put on it. It was almost to spicy to eat! Next time I order it I will ask for the pepper flakes on the side. The man who took my order was so kind and intentional.
