Went in for an afternoon drink. It was empty but I'm happy to say it's black owned & the neo soul Playlist was on POINT!! The flavor of the month is white mocha banana and the frappe blend was delicious. Also got a pizza bagel which was good just needed some cheese and a bit more pepperoni to really set it off

Wanted to support local, but this was robbery. The cappuccino was undrinkable (tasted of milk and left an unpleasant bitter aftertaste in the mouth- we threw it away along with the $5.00 we spent). The breakfast sandwich was actually Jimmy Dean and marked up for resale. So disappointing. Though it is veteran owned and local, there is no excuse for the poor quality of the food and drink. We will not be returning. The only saving grace was the sweet baristas behind the counter. Very kind folks.

I'll give this place 3.5 stars honestly. The service was not good. At all. The person upfront clearly did not want to be there. The scone tasted old and dried up. One of the coffees just tasted like milk. But the other Coffee was delicious and so was the pumpkin loaf. So I'm 50/50 on it. If I came in and only ordered the bad things i would never have gone back. But since I ordered a ton of things and half of it was good, I'd be open to visiting it again in the future if I'm nearby. I won't go out of my way though to visit it.

The Mocha Room is a veteran-owned coffee shop in Apex. We stopped in to grab a beverage and also got a muffin, it was a strawberry lemonade for me and a mocha with whole milk for my husband. They use Five Star coffee from Holly Springs (we love their coffee and story). The service, drinks and muffin were all good. This spot does different events so check out their website and/or social media pages for more details.

Lovely, quiet coffee shop in Apex. Perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee on the couch or starting your work day off right. Parking is available out front. The employee working the counter was very welcoming and efficient. She patiently answered my questions and took my order. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I love the set up inside since it is welcoming and provides privacy if you plan to work. I stayed for a little while to work on my computer and the environment was perfect. While I worked I enjoyed a self-made waffle, matcha latte, and chocolate chunk vanilla muffin. The best part was the waffle. In total, it took about 3 minutes to make and was very straight forward. I topped mine with blueberry and chocolate. The matcha latte tasted great, but had too much ice and not enough matcha. The muffin had a good flavor, but was too dry. It would have been better paired with a hot cup of tea or coffee. The only recommendation I have is to offer silverware to those dining in. I don't personally like eating with plasticware. Overall, I had a good experience and recommend this cafe to others!

This was my first time going here. They had a Mother's Day bingo and breakfast. It was very cute. The food and coffee were good and the workers were super friendly! They have large indoor jenga, a karaoke machine, some books and things for kids. My daughter was most excited about the make your own waffles. Will definitely be back!

I saw this place as my husband and I were driving. I'm always looking for a new coffee spot, so I figured I'd check it out. I pulled up and there were no cars in front, so I almost drove away. I walked in and saw a couch and a table and then saw a sign saying to order in the back. The young woman working stood up when I came in. I ordered a medium iced vanilla latte, and for over $6, this is what I got. I was severely disappointed when I took a sip. Tasted like watered down almond milk with no flavor. I really try to support small businesses, but I don't think I'll come back to this place

So we pulled off, took out the trusty Yelp app, and this place popped up. Pulling it, it was clear that they were popular and busy. We went in and there was a wait, about 15 minutes. We decided to hang around instead of worrying about "making good time" and are glad we did. Once we got a seat, we received great service. Our server always kept our drink full, and checked on us just enough. We never felt like we were searching for her. Looking at the menu, I was surprised to see that the prices were not unreasonable, even though it's a very trendy place. in fact, they had a $10ish lunch menu available with a few selections that even included a drink. I was more in a lunch mood so I went that direction, and got a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. Food came out hot and in a reasonable time even with a full restaurant, so this is a well oiled machine. For the price, I was pretty impressed. I would say the sandwich was about the size of your average CFA chicken sandwich, but had a bold buffalo flavor that I liked a lot. They didn't skimp on the fries, and the ranch complemented it perfectly. We finished up and our server was on top of things getting us the check, so really we still made "good time" on our drive to the coast. I would recommend Brunches to travelers and locals alike!

I went savory: a chicken salad croissant (flaky, generously filled, with a side of bow-tie pasta salad and a creamy poppyseed slaw) and a pressed caprese-style panini with tomato, mozzarella, and basil grilled to a deep golden crisp. Both solid, satisfying lunches. On the drinks, the cold brew made with Joe Van Gogh beans was great--smooth and well-balanced. The iced café au lait was acceptable, nothing memorable but it did the job. The bakery case alone is worth a stop: cannoli, cranberry almond muffins, strawberry streusel coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a rack of croissants. Friendly counter service and a comfortable spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or lingering with a coffee. Worth a return visit. Prices are very reasonable.

We ordered the Chicago Dog, the Reuben Sandwich, and finished things off with a cannolo (yes, the singular form of cannoli). The Chicago Dog was delicious and loaded with flavor, although I have to admit the toxic-green relish initially threw me off a bit (see pic). Once I got past the visual shock, it was actually a fantastic hot dog that stayed true to its Chicago roots. The real star, though, was the Reuben Sandwich. At around $15, it was absolutely worth every penny. Generously stacked, perfectly toasted, and packed with tender meat, melty Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and just the right amount of dressing. The cannolo was the perfect sweet ending to the meal -- crisp shell, creamy filling, and not overly sweet. What really stood out was how friendly everyone was. The staff made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back... especially for those Thursday $5 draft beer specials. Apex locals, you've got a gem here.
