My husband came here since we were nearby for a doctor's appointment and it was a great find. The coffee was delicious - I always get an iced mocha at a new (to me) coffee shop and it was a great balance of flavors - the coffee was strong but the sweetness from the chocolate was perfect. The avocado toast was a bit pricey as all avocado toast seems to be but I liked the combo of flavors and that I was able to customize it to have what I wanted on it.
Nice area, fast delivery of food and drink. Got an iced latte with coconut, pup Cup, Carolina crunch ice cream, and the salmon toast. The Carolina crunch was pretty sweet but that's because it's real sweet buttercream as the base, The Latte was good but I had to go back and ask for extra coconut pumps because I needed it a little bit sweeter. The salmon toast was decent but I feel a little expensive for one slice of toast. That one slicebalone was $12 dollars. Nice quiet Pleasant place to go and I would suggest if someone would like a nice little place to sit and have a drink or a small bite.
I popped in here one morning to grab a little bite to eat in a Matcha and thoroughly enjoyed it! I got their blueberry Matcha that you could tell had fresh blueberries and I got their salmon toast. The salmon toast was so good and had pickled onions and filled me up just enough.
I got the matcha ube. It was so yummy. This place is so great and I love all the unique combinations of drinks. They always hand whisk it. This staff is exceptional. They are so friendly. The area is really cute to hang out with and grab coffee or matcha with Friends.
Bottom line: Simmer Coffee House served up a tasty morning meal in avocado and smoked salmon toast with latte. Nice atmosphere and very welcoming helpful service encountered. Do note eggs are only hard boiled on the toasts here. The Deets: Going out of my normal weekend routine, I decided to venture out to Simmer Coffee House located at Amberly Place in Cary. I had seen this one pop up on my Yelp feed so naturally I was curious. I got there fairly early, right after opening, but it started filling up fairly fast so appears to be a popular stop. The shop itself is nicely appointed, clean, bright, and welcoming with plenty of inside and outside seating. They offer a nice variety of items on their menu some of which include coffee beverages, matcha, ube, "build your own toast" items, even ice cream/sorbet. Service/staff was very welcoming and helpful when I approached to order at the counter. Loved that they used my name not only to place on my order but addressed me by name when the order was delivered, I like personal style service. I went with a hot skim latte and a toasted with avocado/smoked salmon. I wanted scrambled egg on my toast as well but they do not make eggs any other way than hard boiled here (I am not a fan of hard boiled eggs, a me-thing). I know of a few coffeehouses that serve eggs hard boiled only, this shop is one of them. When my order was delivered in good time, I enjoyed my day-starting meal. The latte was served in a nice mug since staying in house and tasted great. My smoked salmon avocado toast was equally good as well. Overall a nice visit to Simmer Coffee House and I would consider it more 4.5 stars all things considered.
This is a great matcha spot! The service is amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They accidentally made the wrong drink for my partner, but when we let them know, they handled it professionally and remade it quickly without any issues. We really appreciated their excellent customer service and positive attitude. We'll definitely be back!
Today I went to Simmer house and got a mango matcha, and a mango sorbet. It was so refreshing! The mango sorbet was a perfect balance of sweet and sour, I couldn't stop eating it! I'm very picky about my matcha... but this one passed the test!! It was the perfect color, the mango flavor was perfect. I will definitely be back. The staff was very kind and made me feel welcome.
I absolutely love Simmer Coffee House. I try to visit at least twice a month. If I lived near by, I'd be there everyday!!! The customer service at Simmer is the best in NC. From the owners to the baristas, everyone is so friendly, and so intentional. They always remember me. Special shoutout to Matthew!! It's super cute inside, cozy, yet spacious. You can grab a table or sit on a comfy couch. I dream about their coffee, it's so amazing. I make sure I try a different latte every visit! Sad to say I've only had the salmon salmon & capers toast, but I loved every bite. The next chance I get to sit in and enjoy my visit, I'm trying another toast. The pastries are super yummy as well. They also have matcha, teas, cocoa and a variety of cold beverages. I went in today and they now feature local artisans goodies. I purchased a bag of Chad's Carolina Corn, Gourmet Popcorn. If you're ever even remotely in the area, you have to stop by and experience Simmer House for yourself.

I did have a few sips of his coffee because it was really good! If we didn't live over 35 minutes away, we would definitely be frequent visitors for sure. Next time we find ourselves in Cary, we will have to stop by again.
Tucked away in a quaint Cary neighborhood, Simmer Coffee House is quiet, cozy, and has easy parking right in front. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any kind of day. Service was kind and quick, and the owner, Solomon, and his team were wonderful. They are friendly, welcoming, and eager to help personalize your experience (recommending drinks, sharing the story behind their concept). I've tried a few items on the menu so far, and everything has been delicious--especially the strawberry matcha latte. It's bursting with real strawberry flavor (lot of strawberry at the bottom of the drink!), so if you enjoy fruity matcha drinks, do not miss this one! I've even heard people drive from Charlotte just to try it! If you prefer a stronger matcha taste, I'd recommend the coconut or ceremonial matcha. Although I mainly see myself coming here for their matcha, their coffee is excellent too, with fun seasonal options like honey cinnamon and Irish coffee for the fall. They all sell their own coffee beans at a very reasonable price. The food is just as good, including freshly made toast (both savory and sweet) and pastries sourced from La Farm Bakery. A perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon, sipping an iced matcha in the sunny alleyway. Definitely a very welcomed addition to Cary and a hidden gem!

A good cup that isn't overly sweet, and something freshly baked to go with it. Well, Simmer nails it. It's tucked in a cozy neighborhood market perfect for relaxing, chatting, or just taking a break. My daughter and I tried the Hot White Mocha, Iced White Mocha, Avocado Toast, and a warm chocolate cookie. The coffee actually tasted like coffee (not sugar!) and I love that they offer milk options. The avocado toast was delicious, and the cookie was just as good. It's close to home, and I can already tell it's going to be my go-to spot. The little gnome on the cups is adorable, and the whole place has such chill vibes. A must-try! I wonder what is story behind picking Gnome as a logo! I will ask next time

It was great to support a local business, but to also interact with such warm personalities. The vibe of the coffee house is calm and relaxing. There were a number of customers on their laptops and a few chatting. It seems like a great place to work remotely or to meet a friend for a latte. It might even be a good spot for a book club meeting. The menu has a number of options. I ordered the White Mocha Latte. That was my first "that's it!" moment. My second moment was the Salmon and Avocado toast. This menu item is full of flavor. The pickled onions and capers add a special touch to the dish. It's definitely a must order. I can't wait to go back to Simmer Coffee House. I have to try their Honey Cinnamon latte. I was a little mad at myself for missing that menu item. I can't wait to try it.
I could honestly come here every single day. It's the perfect spot to study or just hang out, and the food is great. They use La Farm Bakery for their scones which is awesome. It's also one of the few places where the flavored coffee actually tastes like the flavor you ordered. Their matcha is super fresh too. Matthew is an incredible employee and will learn your name and bring you water before you even ask. Nangi (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is always so friendly with the brightest smile. They both deserve a serious raise. This place is a 10 out of 10 coffee shop for sure.

It's rare for the real thing to live up to the perfectly staged photos used in advertisements - let alone surpass them. This was one of those rare exceptions. But the appearance was only part of the story. The taste of the smoked salmon sandwich was on another level entirely. It was, without question, the best sandwich I've ever had, and I don't think I've had a better one in my life. The decaf latte extraction was incredible too. While the beans were not my favorite (it would be wonderful to consider some counter culture :)) - the extraction and ratio was great. At last, everyone was so friendly. Just sign up on there site for perks and updates. Solomon and his wife Chi are the loveliest people. They took time to chit chat with us and we enjoyed telling them how much we love the Macha coffee blends. Simmer is a warm and inviting place to have coffee with friends. Hands down my favorite coffee house. As someone who cares not only about ambiance, but also the quality of service & of course coffee & treats, Simmer hits the mark everytime. A great spot to work from or grab a coffee with a friend with cozy corners & a friendly atmosphere. Also can we take a moment for the Ube cloud?? Never had Ube before, & was used to Matcha tasting like grass- 1000% recommend stopping in for this alone to try something new (especially with the Spring weather rolling in)! read more

Yay, a coffee house that caters to tea drinkers too! While most coffee shops offer a few tea bags or matcha lattes, Simmer takes it further. They sought out high quality matcha including a ceremonial grade to serve. I chose the ceremonial matcha with oat milk and loved it. But don't worry coffee drinkers, they put in as much effort into selecting their coffee. I purchased a few bags of whole coffee beans that they ground for me. The employees working the counter were welcoming and friendly. They took the time to introduce their menu and provide recommendations. Plus, Simmer is easy to locate and has ample parking. It is in a beautiful area of Cary with indoor and outdoor seating. read more

What an adorable coffee shop! It came across my radar as part of a Yelp Elite event, I ordered a honey matcha, smoked salmon toast and cinnamon pull apart. I devoured the toast while I waited for my latte. It was so delicious! As you can see in the photo I had every intention of bringing this home but couldn't resist a nibble. The sourdough bread was perfect! I love that they source their pasties and bread from Le Farm, another Cary local business. The matcha was so creamy and earthy just the way I like it. The location is nestled in a cute neighborhood, and as a new resident looking for a place to land this is the kind of business that would draw me to the area. The service was fantastic, Simmer Coffee house is a great alternative to the more commercialized coffee shops out there. It's a great place for a quick but hearty snack and tasty beverage. read more

Goo overall. Very new concept. The drinks are very creative and look awesome. The toasts are good as well. The service is quick and very friendly. The ambiance is good for coffee house. The only downside is the prices for the amount of food is bit high. Drinks at $10 are bit pushing the boundary and toast is around $10 - $12 for a single slice. So I wish the prices were a bit lower and lot more people would visit. It's a nice concept and great place to treat oneself for sure. read more

Absolutely loved this coffee shop! My boyfriend is military and they gave him a great discount. The toast options are creative and you can specialize them if needed. This new business is very clean and has different seating options. I loved the strawberry matcha and their coffee options looked great too. The staff were friendly and helpful! Oh, my, yum!!! We got two lattes - a caramel iced with oat milk and then I tried an iced white mocha Irish cream latte with oat and it was delish! I usually don't get Irish cream. The 20oz was perfectly sweet, perfectly caffeinated, and perfectly milky. The morning roll was a little dry but the cream in it was to die for. They get their pastries from La Farm bakery. The salmon avocado toast was SO good! You did have to bite the toast pretty hard because of the crust's crunch, but it didn't bother me. I wish I lived closer because I can't wait to come back! read more

First time visiting Simmer House and it's a little off the beaten path for me because I live downtown Cary but it was worth the trip. Nestled in between lots of homes and town homes amongst other small businesses it felt like a hangout spot for locals which I love. The Service was top tier, I chatted with Solomon the owner for a bit and he shared where they sourced the matcha from as well as coffee and baked goods ( love that they partner with other local businesses). I had the breakfast egg sandwich with cheese OMG that cheese was sooo good lol, I would go back for that alone. My raspberry matcha was soo yummy and it was my first time having a matcha so I get the crave. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I also got a pasty but I was too full so took it to go for my Saturday morning coffee the next day.. read more

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and loved the vibe. Adonis helped us and was super knowledgeable about the menu and excited to share! Simmer is one of those places that instantly makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. We recently stopped in for coffee and breakfast, and everything from the presentation to the flavors felt thoughtful and comforting. We ordered the hot ham, egg, and cheddar on toast, which was perfectly balanced, warm, savory, and exactly what you want with a morning coffee. The snickerdoodle scone was soft, buttery, and gently sweet, with just the right hint of cinnamon. It felt homemade in the best possible way. For drinks, we had a candy cane mocha served in the most beautiful mug. It was festive, creamy, and not overly sweet, with lovely latte art that made it almost too pretty to sip. You can tell care goes into both the flavor and the presentation. The space itself is bright, cozy, and welcoming, the kind of place where you want to linger, chat, and maybe order one more drink just because it feels good to be there The folks that work there are top notch with the perfect customer service experience. Order an iced coffee actually paid six dollars for it so it's above the average if you think about how much a cup cost anywhere else but it's a small business no problem but when I receive the coffee, I didn't get an actual 16 ounce. Simmer has become my favorite place to hangout to do work. Place has a chill, comfortable, and environment. A convenient location with plenty of parking. Service is quick and very friendly. Everything I've had from the coffee and fresh La Farm pastries to the smoked salmon have been great. I particularly love the green tea. read more

this is some of the best matcha i've had in the triangle! place is super welcoming and lots of seating to do some work. i've seen they had an ube matcha so i hope they bring that back soon so i can try it! read more
