I got the matcha ube. It was so yummy. This place is so great and I love all the unique combinations of drinks. They always hand whisk it. This staff is exceptional. They are so friendly. The area is really cute to hang out with and grab coffee or matcha with Friends.

Bottom line: Simmer Coffee House served up a tasty morning meal in avocado and smoked salmon toast with latte. Nice atmosphere and very welcoming helpful service encountered. Do note eggs are only hard boiled on the toasts here. The Deets: Going out of my normal weekend routine, I decided to venture out to Simmer Coffee House located at Amberly Place in Cary. I had seen this one pop up on my Yelp feed so naturally I was curious. I got there fairly early, right after opening, but it started filling up fairly fast so appears to be a popular stop. The shop itself is nicely appointed, clean, bright, and welcoming with plenty of inside and outside seating. They offer a nice variety of items on their menu some of which include coffee beverages, matcha, ube, "build your own toast" items, even ice cream/sorbet. Service/staff was very welcoming and helpful when I approached to order at the counter. Loved that they used my name not only to place on my order but addressed me by name when the order was delivered, I like personal style service. I went with a hot skim latte and a toasted with avocado/smoked salmon. I wanted scrambled egg on my toast as well but they do not make eggs any other way than hard boiled here (I am not a fan of hard boiled eggs, a me-thing). I know of a few coffeehouses that serve eggs hard boiled only, this shop is one of them. When my order was delivered in good time, I enjoyed my day-starting meal. The latte was served in a nice mug since staying in house and tasted great. My smoked salmon avocado toast was equally good as well. Overall a nice visit to Simmer Coffee House and I would consider it more 4.5 stars all things considered.

I absolutely love Simmer Coffee House. I try to visit at least twice a month. If I lived near by, I'd be there everyday!!! The customer service at Simmer is the best in NC. From the owners to the baristas, everyone is so friendly, and so intentional. They always remember me. Special shoutout to Matthew!! It's super cute inside, cozy, yet spacious. You can grab a table or sit on a comfy couch. I dream about their coffee, it's so amazing. I make sure I try a different latte every visit! Sad to say I've only had the salmon salmon & capers toast, but I loved every bite. The next chance I get to sit in and enjoy my visit, I'm trying another toast. The pastries are super yummy as well. They also have matcha, teas, cocoa and a variety of cold beverages. I went in today and they now feature local artisans goodies. I purchased a bag of Chad's Carolina Corn, Gourmet Popcorn. If you're ever even remotely in the area, you have to stop by and experience Simmer House for yourself.

I came here with my husband to grab some coffee. There's lots of parking options and they had a ton of non-stop business during our visit, which looked really good considering this was our first time there. There are plenty of tables and chairs whether you prefer to enjoy the sun out on the patio or sit inside. I came during a Yelp event (review on actual event page) but my husband is not Elite but still tagged along. He ordered a latte with raspberry syrup. The wait for his coffee was typical of any cafe and they brought it directly to him instead of calling out his name. The staff here are very friendly and caring to their customers. I did have a few sips of his coffee because it was really good! If we didn't live over 35 minutes away, we would definitely be frequent visitors for sure. Next time we find ourselves in Cary, we will have to stop by again.

This is a great matcha spot! The service is amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They accidentally made the wrong drink for my partner, but when we let them know, they handled it professionally and remade it quickly without any issues. We really appreciated their excellent customer service and positive attitude. We'll definitely be back!

Hey there! So, there was a little hiccup with my order when it first arrived. But honestly, the store was super professional in sorting everything out. They really went above and beyond to make things right. And can I just say, the lattes were absolutely amazing! Definitely a five-star experience in the end.

Tucked away in a quaint Cary neighborhood, Simmer Coffee House is quiet, cozy, and has easy parking right in front. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any kind of day. Service was kind and quick, and the owner, Solomon, and his team were wonderful. They are friendly, welcoming, and eager to help personalize your experience (recommending drinks, sharing the story behind their concept). I've tried a few items on the menu so far, and everything has been delicious--especially the strawberry matcha latte. It's bursting with real strawberry flavor (lot of strawberry at the bottom of the drink!), so if you enjoy fruity matcha drinks, do not miss this one! I've even heard people drive from Charlotte just to try it! If you prefer a stronger matcha taste, I'd recommend the coconut or ceremonial matcha. Although I mainly see myself coming here for their matcha, their coffee is excellent too, with fun seasonal options like honey cinnamon and Irish coffee for the fall. They all sell their own coffee beans at a very reasonable price. The food is just as good, including freshly made toast (both savory and sweet) and pastries sourced from La Farm Bakery. A perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon, sipping an iced matcha in the sunny alleyway. Definitely a very welcomed addition to Cary and a hidden gem!

I absolutely love neighborhood coffee spots that keep things simple no overcomplicated menus, just great coffee and fresh bakes. Because really, what more do you want from a coffee place? A good cup that isn't overly sweet, and something freshly baked to go with it. Well, Simmer nails it. It's tucked in a cozy neighborhood market perfect for relaxing, chatting, or just taking a break. My daughter and I tried the Hot White Mocha, Iced White Mocha, Avocado Toast, and a warm chocolate cookie. The coffee actually tasted like coffee (not sugar!) and I love that they offer milk options. The avocado toast was delicious, and the cookie was just as good. It's close to home, and I can already tell it's going to be my go-to spot. The little gnome on the cups is adorable, and the whole place has such chill vibes. A must-try! I wonder what is story behind picking Gnome as a logo! I will ask next time

My first visit to Simmer Coffee House was positive and full of "that's it!" moments. First off, Solomon and his team are amazing! They made time to chat with my friend and I to discuss the menu options, local artists displayed within the store and spoke about the concept of the coffee shop. It was great to support a local business, but to also interact with such warm personalities. The vibe of the coffee house is calm and relaxing. There were a number of customers on their laptops and a few chatting. It seems like a great place to work remotely or to meet a friend for a latte. It might even be a good spot for a book club meeting. The menu has a number of options. I ordered the White Mocha Latte. That was my first "that's it!" moment. My second moment was the Salmon and Avocado toast. This menu item is full of flavor. The pickled onions and capers add a special touch to the dish. It's definitely a must order. I can't wait to go back to Simmer Coffee House. I have to try their Honey Cinnamon latte. I was a little mad at myself for missing that menu item. I can't wait to try it.

Hands down my favorite coffee house. As someone who cares not only about ambiance, but also the quality of service & of course coffee & treats, Simmer hits the mark everytime. A great spot to work from or grab a coffee with a friend with cozy corners & a friendly atmosphere. Also can we take a moment for the Ube cloud?? Never had Ube before, & was used to Matcha tasting like grass- 1000% recommend stopping in for this alone to try something new (especially with the Spring weather rolling in)!

I could honestly come here every single day. It's the perfect spot to study or just hang out, and the food is great. They use La Farm Bakery for their scones which is awesome. It's also one of the few places where the flavored coffee actually tastes like the flavor you ordered. Their matcha is super fresh too. Matthew is an incredible employee and will learn your name and bring you water before you even ask. Nangi (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is always so friendly with the brightest smile. They both deserve a serious raise. This place is a 10 out of 10 coffee shop for sure.

    Jillian S.

Yay, a coffee house that caters to tea drinkers too! While most coffee shops offer a few tea bags or matcha lattes, Simmer takes it further. They sought out high quality matcha including a ceremonial grade to serve. I chose the ceremonial matcha with oat milk and loved it. But don't worry coffee drinkers, they put in as much effort into selecting their coffee. I purchased a few bags of whole coffee beans that they ground for me. The employees working the counter were welcoming and friendly. They took the time to introduce their menu and provide recommendations. Plus, Simmer is easy to locate and has ample parking. It is in a beautiful area of Cary with indoor and outdoor seating.

Really loved this little gem if a place! Was warmly greeted and had a good conversation about the menu. I ordered pb berry toast, chai lattee and pumpkin scone!! I actually was tempted to oder a second drink (there's a cereal milk refresher that is next on my list). Nice quiet place to sit and read on a Sunday morning!

Here is the revised Yelp review with the correct name:…read more My wife and I recently stopped by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café in downtown North Carolina, and we left already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and served with genuine kindness. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It feels like the kind of place where you can slow down, sit across from someone you love, and actually enjoy your coffee. We ordered an espresso, a latte, a chocolate croissant, and a lemon pastry. Everything was fresh. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers on the outside and a soft, buttery texture inside. The lemon pastry was bright and balanced, not overly sweet. The espresso was strong and smooth. The latte was well crafted and comforting. Service was quick without feeling rushed. The space was clean. The overall experience was simple and well done. If you are in downtown and want good coffee, fresh pastries, and attentive service, Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café is worth your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. On the positive side, the flavors themselves were solid overall. The icing was tasty, and while the cake was decent, it leaned a bit dry, which was already giving us pause given this was meant to showcase their best work. What really ended the conversation for us was a major quality issue. Two of the icing sample balls each had a very long hair in them. It was immediately noticeable and extremely off-putting. At that point, we lost confidence and couldn't bring ourselves to continue sampling, let alone consider trusting them with something as important as a wedding cake. Between the dryness of the cake and the hair issue, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. Not terrible flavor-wise, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and fell short for such a high-stakes purchase.

The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). I saw a nice gentlemen there that day who I think may be part owner; based on what I see on their website I wonder if it was Herr Norbert. While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). With the weather sitting in that perfect sweet spot before the North Carolina summer heat takes…read moreover, I grabbed a seat outside and settled in with an Iced Vanilla Latte and one of Crema's famous Cragels filled with cream cheese. The latte was smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, just enough vanilla to complement the coffee. The Cragel was every bit as delicious as its reputation suggests: warm, chewy, flaky, and generously filled with cream cheese. A perfect coffee, a scrumptious Cragel, and ideal patio weather--what more could you ask for? This is exactly the kind of local gem that keeps me coming back.

I'm not sure if I would come back here. I'm sure if I came on a non busy day and not peak time it…read morewould have been a better experience. It was very crowded there's not a lot of seating inside, they do have outside sitting. I did like how the inside looked and they had their pastries out front. I couldn't tell what to order and spent a few minutes trying to figure the menu out without getting overstimulated by the time I could even think about asking questions they had a really big line. I ended up ordering a medium cappuccino which I know see from other reviews that my disappointment was not just me. we did get a waffle croissant thing which was not bad. It tasted stale. So it was a bit tougher and chewier or I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be ? I'm sure if it was fresh it would have been better. My daughter ended up getting a fruit smoothie and a hello kitty looking Madeline that was banana flavored she really liked that. There are no prices on the things that aren't at their coffee station area. I did ask the guy up front that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, he just stared at me. Didn't say anything. And then corrected me when I asked for the waffle thing. Soo.. there's that. So I guess come here if you know what you want. Or come during non less busy hours. We only came by because it was across the street from our therapy appointment. But left more disappointed.. and I spent $22 with tip. Not even sure what I paid for or the prices it all happened so fast. So go here don't go here. We will probably try another place.

I went savory: a chicken salad croissant (flaky, generously filled, with a side of bow-tie pasta salad and a creamy poppyseed slaw) and a pressed caprese-style panini with tomato, mozzarella, and basil grilled to a deep golden crisp. Both solid, satisfying lunches. On the drinks, the cold brew made with Joe Van Gogh beans was great--smooth and well-balanced. The iced café au lait was acceptable, nothing memorable but it did the job. The bakery case alone is worth a stop: cannoli, cranberry almond muffins, strawberry streusel coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a rack of croissants. Friendly counter service and a comfortable spot whether you're grabbing a quick bite or lingering with a coffee. Worth a return visit. Prices are very reasonable.

Chanticleer is a hidden gem in Cary! I don't know why it's taken me so long to discover it…read more The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. They helped me navigate my coffee order and executed it to perfection. They also answered all of my gluten free questions and took extra precautions for my allergy. The egg white and cheese sandwich with turkey bacon was great. Pro tip: Order it with a double portion of egg white for added protein. I also got an iced cafe latte with caramel. You can get a punch card for every coffee and get one free on your tenth purchase. They have a great pastry selection. I got an almond croissant to go for my mom on a recommendation from a friend that said it's a can't miss! (I can't try it due to my allergy but it looks amazing) The ambiance has a cute cafe with plenty of seating.

"VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.

I don't speak French, but trying to find this place left me wondering if the name means "receded"…read moreor something like that, because it is hidden away. in the back of a shopping center. Both the atmosphere and the menu are a mix of French and Arabic, so I got a cherry-infused chocolate cake and some sort of cheese and za'atar savory bun, along with a cardamom chai. The chai flavor was interesting, but not altogether strong, while the cake was as delicious as it looked. My cheese pastry was strongly salty, for better or for worse. The price reflects the quality of the food more than the location, let's say, but I was glad I went.
