Came here with my daughter on a Saturday morning. We got there around 9ish and it was packed. There were barely any seats inside, and because it was a chilly morning and the patio was still a little wet, not many people were sitting outside. On a nicer day you can sit outside if you prefer. My daughter ordered the waffle with Nutella, and since she wanted syrup, we added the cinnamon glaze. She really enjoyed it. I do wish they had whipped cream as an option because I feel like waffles and whipped cream just go together, but that's honestly a small thing. I ordered the avocado toast with the fried egg on top and also the house-made granola. I did not realize the granola serving was going to be so big, so I definitely over-ordered, but no regrets because everything was so good. The avocado toast was delicious. The bread was soft, fresh, and filling, and the whole thing was just really satisfying. I ended up taking the granola to go, and later that day when I ate it, I was like wow... it was still amazing. Honestly one of the best granola and yogurt bowls I've had. So good. I also got an almond latte. Nothing overly fancy, just a solid latte done well. Staff were friendly and patient, especially with my daughter wanting to order. That always means a lot. Another plus: plenty of parking, and they have two single-stall bathrooms, which is helpful. I also really like the Lafayette Village area in general. After you eat, you can walk around, hang out, and enjoy the area a bit. So it can be a quick coffee stop, or you can make a little outing out of it. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Came here on a Saturday around 1 pm. Wanted breakfast food later in the day than most places offer. They were highly rated online so I decided to give me a shot. They are located in a VERY BUSY shopping center. Lots of folks sticking around to hang outdoors in the area. Thankfully I found parking in the lot downstairs in a parking garage with a short walk over. The line was long but moved fast. It was cold and sorta dark inside and crowded compared to it being nice outside, so I chose to sit outside. The courtyard side was packed, so I sat on the parking lot side. Not the best view, but got the job done. They were still serving biscuits, but were no longer serving the oatmeal which was a disappointment. I got the yogurt instead and didn't care for the toppings. My coffee and food came out fast and the biscuit tasted amazing. The biscuit was large, the egg and bacon were perfectly cooked and the iced coffee was delicious. The food is the shining star here. I just wish the ambiance was better. I will be back on a weekday when it's less people to contend with. read more

I was surprised by the amount of people at this location at 10:45 am on a Wednesday. Not too noisy but definitely an energetic crowd of remote workers, stay at home mom's ( had 3 next to my table and overheard their conversation) students and friends just catching up. Jubala is located in Lafayette Village and has entry from both the parking lot and the courtyard sides. Parking at Lafayette village can be frustrating mid-day but there is a parking garage on the other side. I've been to Jubala twice and they've been packed both visits. However, they're very quick and efficient. The cashiers have always been nice and friendly, the baristas are definitely focused on their work. The iced mocha was delicious when I had it the first time. This visit, I had the iced coconut latte and while it was good, it didn't have any notes of coconut. I've never ordered food from here so I can't review that. The coffee is fine, nothing to rave about and not memorable, except for how pricey the coffee is for the size. I will say that this is a good place to meet up with friends and have a chat in the courtyard. It's very relaxing. On top of that, if you order food, the staff will bring it out to you which is such a nice perk. read more

The very first time I came in here is extremely crowded and very busy, which makes sense because they do make good coffee However, I left not feeling quite satisfied due to other things... Today when I went in to discuss with the person working the front counter, what I experience, she did not hesitate to make things right! Her name is Emma. Stopped at Jubala Coffee on a cold, winter morning in Raleigh looking for something to warm up with and this spot was perfect! Located in sort of a small shopping village, Jubala Coffee was packed with customers and made for a nice place to have a warm drink and a quick bite to eat. Not usually one to go for a specialty drink, the peppermint mocha was calling my name ('Tis the Season) and I am so glad that I went for it. The drink was artfully crafted and tasted delicious and helped warm the bones. The biscuits sounded too good to pass up and once again there was zero regret adding a biscuit into the mix. I opted for the biscuit with raspberry jam and the biscuit was the perfect amount of flaky balanced wit some texture and the warm biscuit with jam on it would be something you could eat every day and not grow tired of. Went to Jubala coffee today to enjoy a drink and bite while reading my book. My husband got the basic iced coffee and I got a hot turmeric tea. We also split one of their sweet biscuits with fresh blueberry compote. The coffee and tea were solid (we ordered pretty basic things and they were executed well). The biscuit was delicious as was the blueberry compote - the biscuit had a hint of sweetness and was a bit crumbly but not too much. The blueberry compote tasted fresh and sweet. We got our food and drinks quickly, so no complaints on the service. The main complaint I have is that this is not a relaxing environment - there was nonstop clanking and loud noises for the full 1.5 hours we were there. It was not a peaceful environment to relax and read a book. My husband had to blast music in his ears to be able to concentrate on his work amidst all the noise. I would recommend sitting outside if you want some more peace, weather permitted. We will likely be back to try their waffle and sandwiches, but will try to get outside seating next time. read more

Checked out Jubala Coffee in the little France location for a warm drink on a cooler Raleigh day. I tried the smoked sea salt caramel latte, which the staff said was personally better than the iced. It was very yummy and had strong flavors per the name. My friend tried the hot chocolate. However, it was a little disappointing and tasted more like steamed milk with very little to no chocolate. I agree with all the positive reviews about this coffee shop. I visited the North Hills location. The coffee was very good and the biscuits bought me back the next day. They were delicious! They have a variety of homemade jams. Get them! All! . I also had a breakfast sandwich and the banana and Nutella waffle and the cinnamon waffle. The waffles have a sugar coating (not too sweet) so they don't come with syrup and they don't have syrup. But I didn't need it. It a dense waffle with a sort of doughy center (in a good way). All said to say it is not your typical waffle. I think it's better. Prices are a bit high in my opinion. One biscuit is $4 and some change. But it is a quality and delicious biscuit. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was busy (Saturday) and seating was hard to come by. But there is adequate seating. They also have outdoor seating. The bathrooms were clean also. Parking is tight as it's in a shopping center, so that's to be expected. This place is definitely on my favorites list. read more

This was an unplanned trip, as I was on a hunt to fix my craving for iced coffee. I ordered a flavored latte that had coconut milk in it and this is probably some of the best coffee I e had in Raleigh. My second choice was a smoked sea salt caramel iced latte so next time I'm in the area I'm definitely dropping again. Honestly, this is my favorite coffee shop of all time (and I've been to a lotttt of coffee shops). Every time I'm in the area, I go out of my way to pay Jubala a visit. I've been to one of their other locations, but this one is definitely my favorite. They just opened a third shop and roastery. Jubala carries the high-quality local roaster Black and White, and even have their own specialty blend. This makes their drinks "pop with flavor", as they describe on their website about the roaster. They add seasonal specialty menus with thoughtfully crafted flavor combinations that will likely leave you debating between options. This time to drink, I chose the summer espresso tonic with watermelon, tamarind, and pineapple. My boyfriend opted for a simple oat milk latte. Both were delicious and prepared quickly in spite of the wait to order on a busy Sunday at brunch time. Every time I come here, I order a biscuit with pimento cheese and bacon, as well as a waffle. The biscuit has never once let me down. It is just as delicious as I remember it from the time before, or even the first time from 5 years ago. The liege waffles are sure to satisfy my sweet tooth. I typically get the peanut butter but this time, we decided to split their special of a strawberry waffle with chocolate basil ganache. I was impressed by the amount of ganache they serve with the dish -- plenty to coat your bite each time. The roasted strawberries were full of flavor and a great texture to pair with the crunchy outer layer of the waffle. They have an outdoor seating area out back with only a few tables, but you could also bring a blanket to picnic if you wanted to. On this day we sat at the counter and admired their fully customized espresso machine while watching the baristas hard at work. If you look carefully, you'll find countless little touches around the shop that give Jubala its established geometric aesthetic. You could and should also support this shop by picking up some of your at-home coffee essentials. I highly recommend checking out their website to learn more about their story. The Location on Falls of the Neuse and the Newier North Hills location excellent. I loe working and relaxing at both locations or meeting with friends for coffee in a nice quiet environment. the Staff are extremely nice and patience. Almond Latte is the best and there Greek Yogurt with Granola is a go to along with sweet Biscuit with there Apple Butter. I see the managers training the staff and doing meetings regularly and can say I am impressed with there customer and community engagement and high quality coffee ( not pushing nasty brews on you or stuck up coffee shop vibes) read more

Came by for a mid day pick me up. The almond latte is a MUST. It was incredible - the perfect amount of light sweetness that didn't overpower the coffee taste and the cinnamon flavor came through. They have a couple seasonal drinks that I'll have to come back to try! They have plenty of non dairy alternatives including oat and almond milk. the baristas were friendly and really take their time explaining and answering questions if you have any. After searching high and low for a "go to" café nearby, we finally found Jubala. Their biscuits are amazing, their coffee menu is diverse without being overwhelming, and their food/drink quality is excellent. IMO: the sausage, egg & cheese is as good as it gets -- I ordered my biscuit with country ham expecting a thick-cut ham, but I got something much thinner, saltier, and jerky-like (must be a North v. South communication breakdown). Either way, it was still delicious. We got there around 9:30 AM on a Saturday and the line was pretty long, but luckily they worked it down quickly and had ample seating to accommodate the large crowd, so it wasn't really an issue. Jubala served me the best latte I've had in Raleigh so far (after 10 months of being here), and all without any pretension (which can be hard to avoid at a café).
