Just wanted to take the time to clap for the staff here I've only been here twice now. But both times the service was SO fast. I came here on a week day and it was packed but the kitchen seemed steady. Their service is very stream lined with pagers for food orders. There is a lot of seating but it also seems to be a place where a good chunk of people come to work. They have a library inside as well and the books at the time were all $3 ea. Today I came and it's a Sunday. As expected they were SLAMMED. Line to the door of people waiting and line to the door of people ordering. I still got my coffee in less than 5 min. People waiting on food were getting theirs in similar time. The staff was killing it! They have a large selection of baked goods (lots of laminated dough), fast casual breakfast & lunch, and a huge coffee menu. They also have gluten free options for food and about a dozen gf/df baked goods. They said they have separate prep space and changed gloves for gluten free food but it's a shared oven. I didn't have any issues though. To who ever is managing your kitchen and staff, you're doing a great job. To the staff, hats off Highly recommend this place for a light breakfast and good coffee, or just a good place to hang out on your laptop. read more

I will definitely return for a yummy coffee. The mix of flavors was well done (not an overabundance of lavender). They have a lot of flavors I'd like to try. I was a little disappointed that the coffee didn't wake me up, really. I don't drink it very often so I thought I'd be wired after drinking a medium. For lunch I ORDERED the chicken salad sandwich and a bag of the kettle chips. I asked specific questions about the chicken salad (was going to order turkey & cheese if didn't love the answers). I asked if the chicken was shredded or diced & the answer was shredded. I asked if it was basic chicken salad or did it have a twist? Was told it was basic, no raisins or anything. Great! Moved forward. The sandwich was decent enough to eat but tasted like chickpeas more than anything else. I was very annoyed that I wasn't informed there were chickpeas after asking questions but was so freaking hungry, I just ate it. I was very unsatisfied but didn't have the funds to order more food. 9 hours later I'm writing this review and noticed they have a chickpea salad sandwich. They must have accidently given me the wrong sandwich. Ughhhh. The vibe is Cafe meets bookstore. It's cute. There were quite a few people working on their laptops and also moms with young kids. The space was packed on a beautiful Friday morning. A lot of people working and connecting over coffee. The library space was super cute too! This is such an eclectic place to connect, enjoy a cup of coffee or a bakery item or get work done. The most recent time I was in there I couldn't find a table to sit at. Needed a more quiet space to get some work done for about an hour, but once a table opened up the table next to it had some loud talkers and it was not conducive to focused work. The staff is nice and helpful. They seem to always have a smile! The coffee is great. Always fresh. The bakery items are good too! I have tried about half of their regular fare and they never disappoint. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is it seems some people camp out there to get work done for hours on end. It makes those of us who want to just get out of a normal office setting to enjoy some coffee and a snack have a hard time finding a spot. This café was slammed on a weekend, but it did offer efficient service. A buzzer warned me when food was ready, but I did have to watch out for my drink. The Liège waffle I came for had some nice pearl sugar and was available with some toppings of which blueberry was a wise choice. Seeing Oatly is an option, I opted for an oat milk Matcha, which was quite substantial and offered suitable bitterness to contrast the pearl sugar. Update, giving 4 stars: the WiFi guest accounts seem to be much better fast and consistent. Nobody should have four different WiFi signals, let alone two of them being horrible (do not use Family or Friends). Love everything about this place except the WiFi is horrible, which makes it difficult to work remote. To be clear, it's not Spectrum. They need to hire a better tech person that knows how to configure networks bc it's constantly timing out. Staff is great, food and drinks are delicious, seating is plentiful (inside and out) and vibe is perfect. Just fix your WiFi. read more

Their staff is friendly and kind and really went the extra mile to make sure my experience was wonderful. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and the space is comfortable. Just moved to the area and found this nice cafe. I'm always on the lookout for a good breakfast and this place allows you to build your own breakfast sandwich on your choice of muffin. Solid coffee, great menu. They have a ton of different flavors and the staff was very friendly making different recommendations. There is ample seating and a little study nook that is more private. I went on a Sunday morning so it was pretty empty until 9am it got super busy and you wouldn't have been able to find a seat. We came to NoRa on a weekday around 8 AM and it was pretty bumpin'! We ended up ordering some breakfast sandwiches and some lattes. I normally get a regular latte when I go out for coffee but for some reason the "Honey Bee" was calling my name so I ordered it instead :) It was pretty tasty! The breakfast sandwiches took a while, but they were definitely cooked to order (and the place was busy, as mentioned) so that was fine. They used turkey sausage which is maybe not my preference but it tasted pretty good regardless :) NoRa was reasonably spacious and we managed to find a table for our small family. Overall, nothing extraordinary but it got the job done. I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here, but if I was in the area, I would definitely consider stopping by to grab another Honey Bee! read more

Only 4 stars because I couldn't get the first couple of choices I wanted to order. I ended up with h and cheese croissant which I didn't care much for. I wanted to try the waffle or a plain croissant but they did not have either. The latte however was excellent. Prices were great. Not much open in Raleigh on a Monday, so we ended up here while in need of coffee and a quick breakfast bite. The English muffin with egg, turkey sausage and American cheese was actually pretty decent, but the chocolate chip muffin and iced oat milk latte were both meh. My new favorite place I have tried a few coffee places and this beats them all! The variety of syrups/flavors they have is magical. I have tried a several different drinks and they have all been amazingly delicious. Not to mention, they have $3 books for sale and $10 blind date w/ a book for sale!! This strawberry and peach cobbler muffin was literally the best muffin I have ever had. It is such an adorable place with tons of seating inside and covered seating outside. I concur with the other 1 star reviews. If the coffee was good I may not have been taken aback by as someone else said the weird unwelcoming attitude of particularly the young brunette woman that was verging on cocky for the only thing I can think of is that we were new to the place and drove out of our way (over 35 minutes from another city) to try it and the menu (s) were half not listed on the plastic paper ones on counter vs. the one off in the distance away from the counter on a wall was the full menu. She had no other customers, but acted weirdly impatient as we tried to figure out the unclear menus & asked a few questions. We were not acting out of the ordinary at all. So trying to place the order she also says, no prepared food was being made when we tried to order a sandwich & something else -- only muffins and some cookies were sold now. Well now, the Med. Pumpkin latte had almost no coffee flavor in it NOR did it taste like a P.latte. When I politely expressed my disappointment, this same server was not pleasant about this, intidmidated & not wanting to take up her time, I just said I'll have a sm. regular latte. In this whole exchange, she openly shames & confuses me about my just wanting instead a plain latte. It was really crazy. She then attempts to now charge me for 3 drinks and said when she gave me the regular latte w/ no intention apparently of refunding me for the P Latte and when I mention the refund with my card presented she said Oh you don't want the PLatte?? Then said oh it's not much of $$ difference & I said well it's unflovered & a sm... (WHY do I have to be put through all this?) The server again made me uncomfortable and shaming me. Again no taste of coffee/ espresso. The sister had the Chai Latte and that was pretty good. I just do not like to complain so I left with my tasteless latte. Realized too that there is no smell of roasting/ed coffee beans in the place so I have to question their procedures and actual beans. Though there are big windows for natural light to shine through during the day, the fluorescent lighting was especially prominent when we went at night. Service: The baristas were friendly, and our drink was promptly served. Food: We ordered a hot matcha latte, which was both earthy and flavorful. The balance of sweetness and bitterness was good, and the drink was hot and freshly made. Had a good experience here. I enjoy the vibe of people studying, working, reading, and hanging. The cashier was really helpful in explaining their really large menu Of specialty coffee drinks and food items. I had a build your own breakfast sandwich with English muffin Turkey sausage egg and cheese. My spouse had one as well but with a bagel, which looked better. We had 3 coffees, 3 breakfast sandwiches, and a strudel and our total was around 45; 5-6 dollars for a latte is a little steep, although they were very tasty and creative. Overall, I find this to be a little on the pricier side for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, but I'd rather support local than a chain so all things considered, not bad. I also got the larger sized latte and was disappointed to find it was filled about 3/4 of the way. Still, I'm interested in returning and spending some time working and enjoying their drip coffee and a sandwich on a weekday. read more

My cousin liked the matcha but I thought it was excessively sweet and just tasted like sugar even after mixing it well. The gingy bee wasn't that good either and didn't have any of the flavors that the barista told me it would have. I unfortunately ended up throwing out the gingy bee because it didn't taste good. However, I did really enjoy the book store component of the cafe! My cousin and I picked out a bunch of books and got them each for only $3 which was a steal. There wasn't a ton of variety but there were a few interesting books that we got. Personally, I would recommend coming for the book store and not for the coffee/matcha. read more

The drink I ordered is 3.5 stars, but the environment is 5 stars!!! I got an iced white chocolate, almond, and hazelnut latte and I think the white chocolate is what made it not the best. Tasted too torani-like, like it wasn't rich and decadent. The baristas were all super sweet. The bakery case was STOCKED on a late Friday afternoon, but I didn't try anything. I will have to next time! Everything from the tables to the quieter work environment to the chitchat behind the counter made this such an enjoyable space, and very conducive to remote work.
