Oatmilk latte and bacon egg & cheese drop biscuit with avocado
    Dena F.

Such a cute spot with delicious coffee and drop biscuits. I ordered a decalf oatmilk latte and drop biscuit with bacon, egg, cheese & avocado. The biscuit has the perfect texture and great flavor. My preference is a bit more of a savory biscuit for an egg sando but it was still very tasty. Staff is also super nice.

What a cute, quaint, unassuming spot! This spot is probably no secret to the students in the area, but as a newcomer to the Raleigh area - it was a treat to find this little spot! The coffee, cozy vibe, food options, and outside seating was delightful! On a weekend morning, it was fairly busy but there was high turnover for outdoor seating!

Just had a great light breakfast- wonderful ambiance - quick service and friendly- my latte had beautiful presentation! - Their blueberry compote with biscuit was quite possibly the best biscuit I had! So delicious!

Our son is at NC State as a Freshman and we are locals that pass this location several times a week. We have been wanting to try it and we finally made it a priority. We arrived after 4pm and didn't realize they closed at 5pm, so maybe that's why we really weren't greeted warmly. We both got the almond latte and it was delicious, not overly sweet and the temperature was perfect. We got a spot to sit outside and enjoyed a nice breeze while we drank our coffee. We had a perfect view of the State Bell tower and enjoyed watching the graduates taking their photos in their cap and gowns. We will definitely be back to try other menu items and enjoy the outside.

London Fog and Blueberry Pearl Waffle

What a nice surprise to find a Jubala coffee near NCSU! I've been to the one in Lafayette village and did not realize they have three Raleigh locations (North Raleigh, North Hills, and Hillsborough street by NCSU). The coffee and tea is just as good and pretty as the Lafayette village location. Maybe I went at a less busy time, but it was quick and easy to order and find a seat. Due to the heat I decided to dine inside. I placed an order at the counter and chose a seat at the table beside the kitchen. The blueberry pearl waffle and London fog latte arrived shortly. Now I'm sure they are more impressive since I don't know how they are made, but I don't care, I'll continue to be impressed and choose pearl sugar waffles whenever they are offered. This one in particular was larger than others I have seen and filled with delicious blueberries! The London fog accompanied the waffle well. The temperature was perfect, the design clear and aesthetic, and the flavor was present and faint (not overpowering). Overall, lovely place for breakfast, brunch, and coffee/tea! Parking: nearby lot and street parking available (free and paid options) Employees: welcoming, friendly, and helpful Atmosphere: typical university coffee shop vibe. Reasonable noise level. Noise mainly from conversations and customers making phone calls. Bathrooms: located down the hall out the side door towards the Aloft foyer. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked.

This is by far the best biscuit I have had in my entire life. So soft and delicious! Overall 10/10!

Turkey Avocado sandwich with a side salad

Delicious! I stopped by for lunch on Juneteenth and there was free parking in the street since it was a holiday. It's also nice in the summer when school is out and it's a little bit slower. I got the turkey avocado sandwich and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was grilled so the cheese and turkey was hot and melted. The avocado was fresh and it was nice to add the arugula on top of the sandwich. I'd definitely visit again.

I went here for a quick bite to eat with my friend. Since this is right off of campus, you can tell it's a spot for students. I got the yogurt parfait. The granola was really good. My friend had the tomato jam sandwich and enjoyed it as well.

On Wednesday's they were doing all gluten-free menu and it was amazing...no crazy unreasonable upcharges, just honest menu pricing and great food. As of this review they are the #2 most reviewed place in Raleigh only behind the Pit. When we went last week for a farewell dinner it took us 3 weeks to get in. We got turned away 2 other times. The place was always packed and busy yet cozy and calm with great service. Hopefully they relocate or put some of the items from the menu at Pooles. Fuquay could use a nice place like this and it would be way cheaper than Raleigh! Best of luck to the staff in the future as they all look for work.

I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

It's been an interesting journey--because while I absolutely respect the tradition, my palate has definitely evolved over the years toward lighter, more elevated, visually beautiful food. That said, sometimes you just have to lean in and experience the classics. Tupelo Honey had been on my list for a while, so during a recent work trip to Raleigh-Durham, I decided to check it off. The location is in a very nice, upscale area--one of those shopping districts where, if you see a Whole Foods nearby, you know the neighborhood is going to be polished, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking was simple in a lot across the street, and since I had a reservation, I was seated quickly on the patio, which was lovely and comfortable. For starters, I ordered the "biscuits for a cause," which is a nice touch knowing the proceeds support employee relief and development funds. They were warm and classic Southern biscuits--exactly what you'd expect. For my entrée, I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken (dark meat), a true Southern staple. It was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying, especially if you're in the mood for something hearty and traditional. I also tried a cocktail called "The Debutante," which was pleasant and refreshing, and finished the meal with the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the meal was good--solid, reliable Southern comfort food--but if I'm being completely honest, it wasn't particularly memorable for me. I was traveling for work and dining on a per diem, so it checked the box for a dependable dinner in a convenient location. As a larger regional chain, it feels a bit like a rite of passage when you're spending time in the Southeast--something you try once to understand the landscape. Bottom line: Tupelo Honey delivers classic Southern comfort food in a polished, accessible setting. Service was smooth, the patio was pleasant, and everything was executed well. For me personally, it was a good experience--but not one I'd necessarily go out of my way to repeat. Still, as I continue eating my way through the Carolinas and beyond, I'm glad I gave it a try.
