Pulled up to the drive-thru, caffeine was the mission, Hair was a mess and I had zero ambition. Rolled in around nine, maybe closer to ten, Said "please make it strong" like I meant it, my friend. Deja Brew said bet and they came through quick, Coffee had me functional, now that's a neat trick. Service was sweet, the whole vibe was too, I came for a latte and left brand-new. So if life's got you dragging and your brain says "nope," Pull into Deja Brew, they're basically hope. read more

If I haven't put you on to Deja Brew yet, let me give you another reason to visit. I came by on a Tuesday morning when I was out of coffee at home and in desperate need of caffeine. I asked for their largest iced raspberry latte and I was not prepared for the size. Perhaps half a liter? And only for $8! Talk about affordable in these times. read more

Was in Raleigh for work and wanted some coffee in the morning. Deja Brew was not too far from my hotel and looked promising. The building itself is fairly nondescript strip mall outbuilding with a drive thru. Once inside the place was fairly full and lively. The ambiance somewhat matches the outside - standard coffee shop fare. The menu covered all the standard coffee shop offering with pastries, bagels, and some breakfast sandwiches. Hot Americano with some cream is my favorite and did not disappoint. Lighter roast with low acid taste. Enjoyed it. Service was fast and friendly. N*joy read more

Stopped by to grab some coffee, but didn't actually end up getting coffee lol. Instead, I got a 24 oz frosted lemonade and added strawberry to it. It was really good. The place was quiet, with just two workers on shift, and they were both very nice. read more

It's a no for me. They have no menu prices posted, so they can charge you whatever. Asked for a receipt, frappe was already high for the size but they charge extra for things that would normally be standard...like a basic flavor, whip and then they didn't even top it off with a caramel drizzle, but you want to charge for flavor. Does not seem to have good business practices. Would not return, would rather go to nasty Starbucks, and I thought Starbucks was overpriced....Deja brew beats them. The frappe in itself was ok, basic. read more

The coffee, bake goods, and sandwiches are delicious. The service has been excellent and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Poor customer service skills ,microwaved breakfast food, low quality matcha and warm iced lattes....so disappointed as the reviews seemed pretty good. We won't be back:( read more

So happy they offer smoothies! I ordered a strawberry banana and added peanut butter. Very good and ready in under 5 minutes.

Oh deja brew it breaks my heart to post this. I was a huge fan of this place. The size of the coffees and the staff had always been a huge selling point but today I went in for the first time about feeling a bit different about their coffee over the last few months and boy was I right. First off all they stopped brewing counter culture and now brew different coffee which doesn't taste the same but the breaking point was seeing the huge order of Costco bakery muffins bagels bread and croissant and garbage bags being delivered. What happened to their local partnerships? Also why does it look so weird inside? It now has ice cream which is great. But there's a bunch of cheap products being sold on stands. The whole vibe of this place is off. Not sure I'll be coming back after years of being a fan read more

Great consistent service and coffee! The staff is friendly and courteous, and the frappe's taste great. If you like a little nutty flavor, then I would recommend trying the funky monkey frappe! read more

Worst Cafe Americano I ever had. They use one shot of espresso to 12 oz of water. Everywhere else I have been - including Europe - it's two shots of espresso. I could not even drink it. Paid for it then dumped it out on my way home. Horrible!!! Never again. read more

Deja Brew Coffee House was one of the first spots I came to on my first visit to Raleigh. What makes this quaint little coffee house so great is its intimate setting. It's quiet enough if you're just looking to lounge and read a book enjoy a cup of Joe and some eats or meet up with some friends and enjoy the outdoor seating while enjoying Raleigh's welcoming weather. On this day it was the right amount of chill in the air that made my hot cup of coffee so enjoyable. As you walk through the doors you're immediately greeted with warm and welcoming gestures. read more

Coffee is good, but the food can be inconsistent. Iced white chocolate mocha is my go to. They always have fun seasonal flavors. Cozy environment to work remotely. Drive thru is very convenient so I don't have to go to SBux. read more

My favorite coffee place in North Raleigh. They have a wide range of syrups, desserts, pastries, and drink options. The inside is very cool and funky, with a unique styling situation going on. Plenty of seating inside ( with outlets!!!) and outside. The prices are pretty reasonable I have yet to have a $7 drink from there, so that's a win for me. I will say their hot lattes are a tad on the milky side so if you don't like that I suggest their iced drinks, which are deliciously refreshing. The baristas are always very cheerful and whether I'm in the drive through or inside it's always a quick and pleasant experience. They have day old pastries that are just as good as the fresh ones for a discounted rate, they also have wine, and Ice cream. It's really a fun and cool experience inside of this coffee shop. read more

'Tis the season for gingerbread lattes! I'd been on the hunt for this holiday drink for a few weeks (not a chain), so after dropping my kitty off at the nearby vet I headed over to see what Deja Brew offered. The drive through lane is extremely narrow and awkwardly shaped so I opted to go inside. I was not greeted quickly and when the cashier did ask what she could get me it was pretty lackluster. I don't know if it's early or something, but they did not have many holiday drinks and the seasonal drinks they were offering were still pumpkin flavored. Look for the syrups on the shelf behind the cash register for flavors you can add to lattes or mochas. I got a nonfat latte and added gingerbread syrup. It was pretty good. I ask for my drinks extra hot and this certainly met the criteria. They have a selection of pastries, non-coffee drinks, and ground/whole bean coffee you can purchase. There is a fair amount of seating where you could work or catch up with a friend. read more

Good sandwiches! Good coffee, with milk alternatives. Quick drive thru, and they're always very nice.

This being my first time at deja brew, I was very surprised and pleased with the array of seating options (with everything from tables to lounge chairs and couches!), as well as the variety of menu options. They serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches throughout the day, as well as fresh pastries. I got an almond milk vanilla latte, and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations, explaining that I was new and have never been there before, and were very patient as I asked questions about the menu options. Will definitely come back, this made a great work from home getaway! We dined in at Big Ed's (great biscuits) and noticed this coffee shop across the parking lot and decided to drop in this establishment. We ordered the following coffees to go: - Vanilla Caramel Latte 12oz- So-So - House Brew 12oz- Basic coffee - Iced White Mocha 12oz- really good! The latte didn't have much flavor to it but maybe because I ordered two shots of expresso and added Almond milk to it (usually this is good but I wasn't impressed and the extra shot of expresso wasn't strong for me). I needed a pick me up lol I would come back and maybe order something different! read more

Back again, still the best coffee house in Raleigh. We eagerly look forward to visiting every time we're in town to see family.

I went Deja Brew because it was convenient to my sons school. I had always seen it and wanted to stop there and I am really happy that I did. When I first walked in I was impressed with the guy that was taking orders he seemed to remember everyone's name that came in. I immediately noticed the pictures on the wall they are adorned with Jazz & Blues Players. I would consider the place very cozy just because of the sitting. They have furniture as well as regular tables with chairs just depending on what you are looking for. I ended up ordering the funky monkey (I think that's the name) and some banana bread. I paid about $7 for both. The drink was really good. The bathroom was really clean and well put together. The staff was very open to giving me the WiFi password. They all seemed really nice. Overall okay coffee shop. read more

I just had a very unpleasant experience ordering from this coffee house. Once I made it to the drive-thru, their menu is completely different from their website. Because I am visiting from out of town, I asked questions once I realized their menu was completely different. The lady started getting attitude with me. It's noisy in there plus she was extremely soft-spoken. It was very hard for me to understand it. Instead, I drove straight to the window and was speaking to a different lady. As I am trying to figure out their menu on my phone (and by the way, the drive-thru was not busy at all as I was the only person there), I noticed that she looked at her other coworker and gave an annoyance look and gestured with her shoulders and hands while shaking her head. I kindly asked to please not to do that in front of a customer again. I understand she was frustrated with me but she was not helping me either. The menu looked completely different from their menu on THEIR website! I came prepared with everything written down. I had to completely change my order on the spot. Then I asked a question regarding another drink that was indeed on their menu. She looked me like I had no idea what I was talking about. And proceeded to have that annoyance look on her face again. She was not at all helpful. It was very disappointing and a very unpleasant experience from our first visit to North Carolina. So, I decided to drive off instead as my business was not welcomed. read more

The coffee drinks are very good and the pastries are meh, but I would avoid ordering off the menu. I had to change my order twice because they were out of so many things and then what I did end up with was bland and not very good. The staff looked and acted like they had just rolled out of bed (we were there after noon). We prefer to support our neighborhood coffee shop over the chains, but Deja Brew needs to pull itself together a little bit with the customer service and food quality. read more

TLDR: Solid coffee spot if you want an alternative to Starbucks (better ingredients), but don't come here if you want specialty coffee. Solid coffee spot in a good location if you want to have a quick meeting or are waiting to get to a meeting and have a few minutes to spare. Plenty of places to site inside. Large chairs to get comfortable in as well! Employees are super nice and friendly. They have plenty of sugary coffees. If you want specialty coffee like pour over / dialed in espresso, then this isn't your spot. Would definitely still recommend this above Starbucks. Again, solid place if you're in a pinch due to great location and inside being very hospitable. read more

Love love love this place! Wish it was a little bit closer so I could go to it more often. This place has been amazing for years, but in the last month, they've squandered all the goodwill they've built up in the community. I'm a laptop user who's gone to Deja Brew multiple times a week for the past year, usually spending $20-$25 a day once you factor in the employee tips. It's a rare week when I spend less than $100 here. A few days ago, I arrived to discover that the best laptop-friendly table (my usual table) has been removed and replaced with, of all things, a crane machine and a sit-down video game. Any other tables with power outlets have had their power outlets blocked off with boxes so you can't access them. The message was clear: no matter how much money you've spent here, or how loyal of a customer you've been, you're no longer welcome if you use a laptop. Okay, noted. I'll never go back. I've heard reports of other loyal customers being asked not to return after they complained about being overcharged for something. So they're banning people who point out that they got charged $4.75 when the sign says $4.25, and who ask to be charged the correct price instead? It's a pity the place is falling apart, because the staff has been terrific every time I've been there. But these new policies are horrendous. I know several other loyal customers who've noticed the decline. Several groups who meet here recently have let me know that they're looking for a new spot as well. I've found one. I hope they do too. read more

The coffee is great but we paid almost 20$ for 2 sandwiches that were awful. Paid 1.00$ for each vegetable and this is what I got. One slice of a cucumber, one slice of a tomato, and two slivers of a rock hard avocado. Don't waste on the your time on the breakfast sandwich's especially for the price. The turkey also tasted and looked like Oscar Mayer. read more
