I was in Raleigh for a pair of hockey games, and came across this place in my search for a local coffee shop. Relatively simple setup, but they do have a pile of board games if you want to stick around. The main reason I picked this place was their seasonal selection of a gingerbread latte. A lot of places will get the sweetness level wrong, but this one was perfect. Quick and friendly service, as well.

My first time at this location! The maple latte was pretty good, service was fast and courteous. My only complaint is the gnats flying around, I was surprised to see them. Had a pleasant time studying with friends here though!

LOVE this place. By far the best breakfast and coffee place we have tried in Cary NC! It's easy to see what's unique about this place - board games on shelves as wide and tall as the entire right hand back area wall. Across from the board games are various local area crafted merchandise such as stone pendant necklaces, painted mint tins, crocheted items, stickers and buttons, etc etc. Service was wonderful, we were immediately greeted upon entering. We had "pagers" that go off when your beverage is ready to be picked up at the counter. There's a self-service counter where you pick up your stainless steel (not plastic!) utensils, napkins, cold water, etc. We ordered Nutella latte and honey lavender latte. Both were delicious, hit the spot in terms of coffee and specialty. My BF ordered the roast beef in a waffle sandwich, absolutely unique and tasty. I had the best tasting avocado toast topped with sliced boiled egg. All ingredients look and taste so fresh! Will definitely go back to try all other menu items!

I probably wouldn't have come here but we had a special offer from a local dining club. Arrived mid-day on a Saturday and had two coffee drinks and two muffins. They seemed to have a few other breakfast food items. Their main draw is board games which you can rent, or some of which you can play for free. Seems like a nice, relaxed place for people who are into board games. They are a little out of our way so we probably won't be back, but we wish them well. PS, they also had a little popup craft fair going on outside so I guess they host some events as well.

We had a blast trying this place out. Grab a game and eat some delish food. Our faves were the cali-cassone and the pro-sciu-tto!! Also I had the get the chai latte which was delish too!

This is by far a huge vibe. We stopped by for a drink and I loved it. Lots of board games, it's very clean, and it's so aesthetic inside. The cashier was so kind he helped us pick our drinks. I'm glad they offered skim milk. The bathroom had things that you made need like female products, hair products, and much more! I wish I lived close to here!!

Love the vibe, but the coffee is an acquired taste. My gf asked for a vanilla Chai Latte with soy milk... and didn't get anything close to that. I'm not sure if she didn't know how to make it, but it was disappointing. I like that they have games to play and items to buy, but they truly need to learn the basics of a latte.

Daniel has amazing customer relation skills and cooks a mean waffle. I was concerned about accessibility due to my severe hearing loss, but Daniel was able to think on the fly and accommodate me quickly despite wearing a mask (which can hinder lip reading). He deserves a pay raise; it's not often you'll meet a service worker who treats customers so well. Very clean facility too!!

It's located alongside the leasing office for the apartment complex. The service is great. There were two young ladies working and they were both friendly. I arrived around 4:30 on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and ordered a muffin and a decaf latte since it was so late (for me to drink caffeine). The cranberry lemon muffin was absolutely perfect, so much flavor, so fresh & moist. The Salted Brown Butter Latte was the best. From the first sip to the last drop, I loved it. I sat on a small section of a very comfortable couch with pillows and all. I later sat out front on one of the benches. They also have a patio seating out back. We went on a Saturday afternoon which probably did not help the cause, but there were only a couple of tables available, which luckily we snagged one. I opted for the maple brown sugar latte. I really liked the flavor of the brown sugar itself, though I wished the espresso notes would have cut through more. My preference is for stronger, more acidic tasting espresso though. Glad I was able to check this coffee shop out since it was on my list, but not sure it's one I will rush back to.

Trying to get a little work done, I was pleased to find a comfy couch, power and Wi-Fi- in addition to the incredible twist on a Mexican mocha and an absolutely insane bacon, egg, and cheese on there in house made biscuit! I was actually a little sad as I reached the bottom of the mug. So I opted for a decaf refill, it was pure perfection. Do yourself a favor & pop in to make this place your morning ritual.

I wasn't entirely in a coffee tasting mood but really needed a pick-me-up. They had the strawberries and cream latte as their special drink, so I went ahead and order this and the bang bang tacos. The strawberries and cream was super delicious and hit my craving just right. The bang bang shrimp tacos had a kick with the sauce, but incorporating pineapple was what gave this a 10/10 for me. It had a sweet and spicy flavor to it, which balanced these tacos to perfection with each bite. The employees behind the counter were extremely friendly. I recommend this spot for anybody who's local or traveling through.

It took some time to find parking as the surrounding parking lots were full, but I found street parking around the corner. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Brew and the Cary Theater share common space, so you can enter from either entrance. The service is awesome, I was waited on right away and the barista was helpful with suggestions. I ordered a cookie butter latte and an oatmeal raisin cookie w/ walnuts. Both were absolutely delicious, a great combo. When I finished my latte, I dipped my cookie in the cup to get the last of the foam...so good. The baked goods are from Ninth Street Bakery in Durham. How amazing local supporting local. I sat at the bar area. I loved that there were hooks underneath for your belongings, you don't see that everywhere. They have the high top areas, along with a few tables and chairs. I'm so glad I was able to finally experience Brew, looking forward to going back.

Overall, the little coffee shop is cute and has a little bit of outdoor seating which I liked but is expensive for being so mid in my opinion. I ended up paying almost $7 for a blueberry latte. Overall, my latte tasted like a regular latte, even though it did have a seasonal blueberry syrup added to it. I know that blueberry is very light in flavor compared to coffee so I asked for more than the allotted amount of syrup and their response was that they had a certain amount added to of syrups added. So I said ok thinking they would take that into consideration but when I got my coffee, guess the amount they added didn't matter because it tasted the same as a latte regular. Unfortunately, at the end of my coffee (like the last 20%) had what I assume to be bits of berry in it? The texture made me toss the remaining amount. With the high prices and the location right on a busy street / no parking I probably wouldn't be back but I did enjoy being about to sit outside under an umbrella and the service was nice / fast. All the stars would go to the servers and overall cleanliness honestly.

Every plate was visually impressive and thoughtfully composed. Unfortunately, that is where the positives largely stop. The food was bland or oddly prepared, with flavor combinations that did not work. There was not a single dish on the menu that I enjoyed. I could have prepared a better tasting meal with my hands tied behind my back. The hamachi was described as having wasabi, yet there was no heat or spice at all. The beef was cooked perfectly from a technical standpoint but completely under seasoned. The beet dish, described as a celebration, was unpleasant. The quail was mediocre and forgettable. Service was polished but incomplete. At no point during the delivery of each course did anyone ask how the food was. In a fine dining setting, that absence is noticeable. Part of me was relieved not to be asked, but it also gave the impression that the staff already knew the meal was overpriced and under delivered. By the end of the evening, I was eager to leave and questioning whether I would ever return. The experience leaned heavily on concept and presentation while failing at the most important element: flavor. For a restaurant of this reputation and price point, this was a major disappointment. --
