    Chicken Salad Croissant
    Tania M.

I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner--I'm so glad I finally checked it out. My friends and I met for breakfast and were lucky enough to snag a booth on a busy Sunday morning. It's a seat-yourself, order-at-the-counter kind of place, which made things easy and relaxed. We ordered lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and a chicken salad croissant. The croissants were incredibly fluffy and delicious, and the sandwiches did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to linger and catch up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely be back.

The staff here were pleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed the croissant sandwich but would've appreciated more than what looked like one thin strip of bacon cut up on the sandwich. A serving is three strips of bacon (when it's this thin). The maple pecan pumpkin coffee cake dessert was delicious. I enjoyed an iced pumpkin latte. Very good! No real complaints. I would come again and I do recommend it but maybe pay for extra bacon because this wasn't it. The parking lot needs some help. Way too many pot holes. Be careful pulling in the lot.

Went out to brunch with a friend and got the salad and sandwich as well as some pastries I didn't get a picture of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really enjoyed the vibe of the place (we sat outside) and it's a great place if you like to sit and chat for a few hours with friends over some good food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great cafe that has a wonderful assortment of pastries and desserts along with sandwiches and huge salads. Plenty of parking and good place to grab a table or take and go. I ended up getting the BLT Salad, Onion Soup, and Banana Cream Cheesecake. The salad was huge and was pretty good with lots of bacon bits and creamy dressing. The French Onion Soup was flavorful with some melted cheese on top. The Banana Cream Cheesecake was excellent! Such a lovely banana flavor that was decadent and so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was nice and open and the service was friendly![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is what I got when asking for a well toasted muffin. Maybe I need to start saying well browned?

I have to update today. While this is one of my favorite places to go, and I love most everything here, I get so disappointed when I order a well toasted muffin that looks like it wasn't toasted. I want a crisp, browned muffin. I didn't have it in me to take it back and ask them to redo it today. But why can't they ever get this one right? Is it the way they toast it? I don't know. But this is my result every time. Otherwise, the other food I get here and the staff are always great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's usually quite clean and most always busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love Chanticleer! I always get the caprese panini with house chips and it is the best! They offer breakfast , lunch, coffee drinks and delicious pastries. You order at the counter and get a pager. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer casual indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are reasonable and their bakery items keep me coming back (especially the scones). Friendly staff and one of my favorites in Cary on Tryon.

My friend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy. The line to order reached the door, but it moved pretty quick. The baristas were friendly and the food came out really fast despite the long line. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant which was good although it was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I did not order a drink this time, but I've tried their coffee before and it's pretty good. Aside from the small portion size, I have no other complaints and this is a great brunch spot!

The pastry case is a showstopper: berry-topped croissants with fresh whipped cream, fruit danishes, ube buns, almond twists, and savory options like the garlic-herb bun and hot dog danish. I came for the bakery but stayed for the drink menu, which is huge -- milk teas, fruit teas, yogurt smoothies, sparkling teas, and a full coffee lineup. One heads-up: the Coffee Crush ($4.95) is essentially just Dalgona coffee -- that whipped instant-coffee-over-milk drink that went viral a few years back. It's tasty, but know that you're paying café prices for something you can whip up at home with three ingredients. Would've loved a little more transparency on the menu there. Pastries are fresh (seemingly), drinks are solid, and the space is genuinely lovely for sitting a while. Worth a visit -- just go in knowing what the Coffee Crush actually is.

It was very crowded there's not a lot of seating inside, they do have outside sitting. I did like how the inside looked and they had their pastries out front. I couldn't tell what to order and spent a few minutes trying to figure the menu out without getting overstimulated by the time I could even think about asking questions they had a really big line. I ended up ordering a medium cappuccino which I know see from other reviews that my disappointment was not just me. we did get a waffle croissant thing which was not bad. It tasted stale. So it was a bit tougher and chewier or I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be ? I'm sure if it was fresh it would have been better. My daughter ended up getting a fruit smoothie and a hello kitty looking Madeline that was banana flavored she really liked that. There are no prices on the things that aren't at their coffee station area. I did ask the guy up front that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, he just stared at me. Didn't say anything. And then corrected me when I asked for the waffle thing. Soo.. there's that. So I guess come here if you know what you want. Or come during non less busy hours. We only came by because it was across the street from our therapy appointment. But left more disappointed.. and I spent $22 with tip. Not even sure what I paid for or the prices it all happened so fast. So go here don't go here. We will probably try another place.

Overall, the little coffee shop is cute and has a little bit of outdoor seating which I liked but is expensive for being so mid in my opinion. I ended up paying almost $7 for a blueberry latte. Overall, my latte tasted like a regular latte, even though it did have a seasonal blueberry syrup added to it. I know that blueberry is very light in flavor compared to coffee so I asked for more than the allotted amount of syrup and their response was that they had a certain amount added to of syrups added. So I said ok thinking they would take that into consideration but when I got my coffee, guess the amount they added didn't matter because it tasted the same as a latte regular. Unfortunately, at the end of my coffee (like the last 20%) had what I assume to be bits of berry in it? The texture made me toss the remaining amount. With the high prices and the location right on a busy street / no parking I probably wouldn't be back but I did enjoy being about to sit outside under an umbrella and the service was nice / fast. All the stars would go to the servers and overall cleanliness honestly.

The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). I saw a nice gentlemen there that day who I think may be part owner; based on what I see on their website I wonder if it was Herr Norbert. While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). Annelore's German Bakery is a wonderful way to take care of your dessert needs and support a local business at the same time. I was headed out to my cousins house not far from there and thought I would scoop up a few things for us to snack on. I knew I wanted the fruit tarts and they are pure perfection in my opinion-I bought 4 in total-I ate one the second I got into the car and the rest were had later in the day. I also wanted to try some of their savory options as when I was there a few weeks ago, they were sold out of the ham and cheese croissant and was really excited to give it a try, and wow it was worth the wait! I also got a pepperoni pizza and some sort of pastry with a hot dog in it. We cut each of the savory options into third so we could sample each item. Everything about the ham and cheese croissant was pure perfection and was the favorite of all three of us! I hate that I didn't take any photos of the building-the outside was nothing special but pastries were beautifully displayed and they had so many options to choose from! The rest room wasn't super tidy, but it was bad either-it was a very busy Sunday afternoon! Now to breakdown the customer service piece that prevented me from giving y'all a perfect score, please do better! I was not greeted when it was my turn, in fact there were two people at registers and after both finished they both walked away without saying anything. So, I stood there and waited and at this point no one was behind me. I don't recall the name of the young man that checked me out. I said hello and asked how do I sign up for their rewards program? I'm not sure he understood my question. I asked again and he told me that I had to sign up for it. There seemed to be a disconnect so I just asked if I could sign up for it later and get credit for the large purchase I was making and all he said was he would give me a receipt. He rang up my pastries and I then asked if he could package the sweet and savory items separately and he seemed annoyed. I also ordered myself an iced chai and he seemed bothered that I wanted a drink. At this point there was a really long line of people and he was not efficient in our encounter at all. I truly believe customers service makes or breaks and experience and sadly, this guy missed the mark after I spent $40+! I'm hoping he was just having an off day.
