    Cinnamon roll

This might be the worst cinnamon bun in the world I've ever had. It needs more cinnamon more icing. The icing crumbles. The texture is not smooth. Ambience is zero. Service, regular. I do not recommend.

Unassuming little spot that's dedicated to cinnamon rolls. I tried the classic cinnamon roll, which was amazing, and the seasonal (blackberry cobbler) cinnamon roll, which was also fantastic. Service was very friendly and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Will have to try the breakfast sandwiches next time!

Such a kind staff love how they have many flavors and simple options delicious delight with delicious breakfast sandwiches. Definitely I will be back

My daughter and I have been on the hunt to try new places to eat. We had just finished a 3 mile hike around Shelley Lake Park not too far away, and our first 2 choices had really long waits. So we found this cute little place to check out. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a small place at the end of a block of stores in a shopping center with lots of businesses. We were greeted by the staff as soon as we walked in the door. It smells so good in there. The young lady who waited on us at the register was awesome. She had great suggestions and was so passionate about the food. It's a small menu, but great selections. We both ordered the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. All sandwiches are served on a Hawaiian Roll, which is so exciting. You can pick how you want your egg, type of cheese and add to your sandwich however you want. We of course ordered the cinnamon rolls. She ordered the original and I ordered the special roll of the month, dark chocolate pretzel. Everything was so delicious and so fresh. I brought a jar of Midwest Red jam to add to my sandwich, and yummy!! I highly recommend this cute little place for breakfast or lunch!! They also have burgers and other sandwiches.

This will be our new favorite go-to breakfast place! It's quick and casual and delicious as well as dog friendly (they gave a dog biscuit and provide a dog water dish outside). These sandwiches are MASSIVE and delicious. The buns are like kings Hawaiian rolls. Get the sausage, egg, and cheese morning roll sandwich with scrambled egg. You won't regret it! Super good. The scrambled sandwiches are also tastier than the fried egg. Great seasoned tater tots as well. My husband got the country ham, egg, and cheese sandwich with a fried egg. The country ham is a bit too salty and the fried egg is a little well done but overall good. Definitely coming back and highly recommend! My husband said their cinnamon roll was the best cinnamon roll he's ever had in the US. It's not gooey and sticky like most cinnamon rolls out there but they definitely warmed it up and it was still nice.

Simple menu. Great food! Small little place that specializes in its cinnamon rolls. They also have breakfast sandwiches and burgers. I did not try them but they seem very reasonably priced. I think they have tater tots all day for a $1.50 Paid a little extra for the seasonal roll, a whiskey caramel pecan. It was not the traditional white icing and cinnamon, but the sauce was excellent. The whiskey flavor really came out. I want to say it was of the Jameson's variety but I may be wrong. Coffee was one size for $2.50. it was a large enough cup and it was self-serve. I got there around 10:45 and the coffee was ludicrously hot. My cynical brain thinks it was kept that hot so it's too hot for me to gulp down and get a refill Staff is super friendly. I'm sure I'm over explaining, but imagine a mom and pop cinnabon that serves some real food besides just the cinnamon rolls. That's great! Because a few people could get burgers or sandwiches and then split the cinnamon roll for dessert. I over heard a staff telling another customer that tomorrow's special will be a pineapple sauce of some sort. Sadly I won't be here to try it out

My gosh, they greeted me when I walked in the door. They were so nice and the place smells so good. I got their tot box that's got bacon and a fried egg cause that's what I chose over tater tots for my breakfast and then I got a four pack of their cinnamon rolls because they smelled amazing I got my tot box with pepper jack cheese, fried egg, and chose bacon, but you do have sausage and vegan sausage available here. The tots were seasoned with a savory sprinkle of spices that was delicious and they're not greasy the cinnamon rolls look fantastic, but I'm trying to be good and eat my food and save that for later. This is a definitely excellent choice for a quick freshly made breakfast. If you're on the run, they do have a few seats inside can see like 20 people and they have outside seating as well. They also have T-shirts with cute sayings. I took a picture because they have them posted on the wall. I highly recommend giving them a try.

The cinnamon rolls are definitely the go to here. I'd get the take home pack and bake my own as they were delicious. Morning Rolls makes seasonal rolls with different flavors. I think they told me the next seasonal one is peach. The chicken salad needed something...more salt? A little more kick and it would've been great. The staff were friendly. That day their card machine was done so fortunately I had Offline Raleigh to use (and pay). I'm just not quite sure what the overall "theme" was to the place. Dessert rolls? Brunch?

I don't want anybody else finding out about this place. Please, please do not read this review. Note to Baker: OMG. Please please please do NOT change a thing. I want to camp outside of your doors from dawn to 2pm and just revel in the gloriousness of the most perfect cinnamon roll I have found to date. You rival one one other in my humble opinion...and you'd have to drive all the way to Arizona...I digress. Perfect. Perfect cinnamon to sweet frosting balance. Perfect dough... a tiny bit gooey in the epicenter for those who like that (me, not so much...but it is not a complaint, just a preference). Buy a pack of four and take to the car warm sitting on your lap and there is no better way to feel LOVED all through the day. I am not kidding. Nope. I'm not. Is there anything else on the menu? Oh I do not know, I do not care. I am not going to break that cinnamon roll magic. EVER. I fully anticipate the need to join a gym in my near future.

This was an amazing cinnamon roll!! The warmth, the gooey factor, the flavors, everything. I love that they're kept in a warmer, it does wonders for it. I have no notes. I love that they have a seasonal flavor as well, which was blueberry cobbler. I'll have to come back for that, but I needed the classic first. I also got a breakfast sandwich. You can pick your cheese and the way you want your eggs. They also have some basic add ons like lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo, etc. I thought it was good but I don't think the bun to filling ratio was perfect. I felt like there was too much bread, but it is good bread, so you can't complain much about that. The workers were super nice and made sure we were enjoying our food. I would definitely recommend and will be returning! Be aware that the inside is quite small, though. I ate inside but there's only 2-3 tables, so if you were going with a lot of people I would suggest getting takeout.

Tucked away in a nondescript strip center smack dab in the middle of N. Raleigh is this gem. Tasty handmade breakfast sandwiches and the best dang cinnamon rolls I've found since TJ Cinnamons disappeared. They have regular and flavor of the month which often features fresh fruit. Lunch is also offered. Smaller space but plenty of seats and very clean. Fast and friendly service.

Ask the Community - Morning Rolls

Is the food served in styrofoam containers? It appears so from the photos.

    Not styrofoam. They are paper.

    Are there vegan options?

We have a plant based sausage and chicken patty. We don't offer a vegan option for cinnamon rolls though

Is the cinnamon roll frosting cream cheese or buttercream based?

Hi. Thank you for asking. It is closer to a butter cream type frosting but thinner. More like an icing or glaze.

It's been an interesting journey--because while I absolutely respect the tradition, my palate has definitely evolved over the years toward lighter, more elevated, visually beautiful food. That said, sometimes you just have to lean in and experience the classics. Tupelo Honey had been on my list for a while, so during a recent work trip to Raleigh-Durham, I decided to check it off. The location is in a very nice, upscale area--one of those shopping districts where, if you see a Whole Foods nearby, you know the neighborhood is going to be polished, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking was simple in a lot across the street, and since I had a reservation, I was seated quickly on the patio, which was lovely and comfortable. For starters, I ordered the "biscuits for a cause," which is a nice touch knowing the proceeds support employee relief and development funds. They were warm and classic Southern biscuits--exactly what you'd expect. For my entrée, I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken (dark meat), a true Southern staple. It was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying, especially if you're in the mood for something hearty and traditional. I also tried a cocktail called "The Debutante," which was pleasant and refreshing, and finished the meal with the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the meal was good--solid, reliable Southern comfort food--but if I'm being completely honest, it wasn't particularly memorable for me. I was traveling for work and dining on a per diem, so it checked the box for a dependable dinner in a convenient location. As a larger regional chain, it feels a bit like a rite of passage when you're spending time in the Southeast--something you try once to understand the landscape. Bottom line: Tupelo Honey delivers classic Southern comfort food in a polished, accessible setting. Service was smooth, the patio was pleasant, and everything was executed well. For me personally, it was a good experience--but not one I'd necessarily go out of my way to repeat. Still, as I continue eating my way through the Carolinas and beyond, I'm glad I gave it a try.

Good thing I only ordered 2 things! An order of fried catfish with home fries and one egg. And a biscuit with sausage gravy. The fried catfish was salted and well fried. It tasted delicious for my first bite! The home fries were basically cut potatoes, but they weren't very fried or flavored. I wished I ordered the side of apple sauce instead. The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things. Also, I wished I had asked for sausage gravy on the side so I can try the biscuit on its own first as well. Furthermore, I would have more time to eat the catfish so I wasn't worried about the biscuit getting soggy. Christy came to check up on me every now and then. The place was buzzing with people and decorations so I didn't feel so alone. When it was time to pay, Christy brought me the check for me to pay at the cash register.
