I was here last last Sunday and had a great experience...fast, polite service, beautifully presented food and nice ambiance. Today, not so much. Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead. read more

We LOVE LaFarm! Preston corners is a walkable distance for us and our family loves coming here for a perfect weekend Brunch. They have true sourdough based options, plenty for vegetarians and the BLT is likely the best in town. They also have very good coffee to pair with those offerings and have options for a bottle of wine from to sip on their patio. What a great little French bistro in Raleigh-Durham Airport! You can order and take-out or have table service. I ordered the Croque Monsieur. The bread was fresh and tasty and the sandwiches contents were delicious. The workers there are friendly and accommodating. Even their corporate office is great. I left without an itemized receipt to present for my company expense report. I emailed and asked and they sent it to me right away. Bakery!! I love bakeries. The first thing you notice and smell is fresh baked bread. The case is loaded with the famous white chocolate baguette (delicious btw), all types of croissants, cookies and breads. Oh and scones. Don't forget the scones - pumpkin chocolate chip and white chocolate cinnamon (10/10). They have a full breakfast menu and lunch items as well. We ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and the spinach and feta quiche which comes with a mini scone and fruit and I added a side of bacon the food was about an 8/10. The quiche was tasty but a little flat. I also had a caramel crème latte 9/10. They have a lot of take home items - breads, jams, granola, etc. Service was great and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This feedback is related to a gift card with $25 balance that was rejected at the store at the corner of High House and Cary Pkwy. I gave my daughter this card and she tried to use it but was told it could not be used because either it was expired or had no balance. She even showed them the site showing the balance on her phone. She had to pay from her own funds even though she only went there because of the gift card. I just checked during this writing and the web site shows a balance of $25. I have also sent 2 emails via their web site and have not received any response. So now I feel like La Farm has stole money from me. The back of the card clearly states "No expiration dates or services fees." So, not a pleasant experience, I feel robbed, and now I don't feel like going to La Farm or recommending them.. Moral of the story, don't buy gift cards from La Farm. read more

We've been coming to LaFarm ever since we moved here almost 10 years ago. Everything used to be top notch and you would see the owner frequently. But I'm guessing he has over extended himself with all these locations. The quality has gone down and the prices have shot up. So disappointed in the kids meals. An overcooked egg and 1 slice of orange for $8????? I know inflation has gotten bad but that's ridiculous. The quality of the food isn't what it used to be either. We've ordered stuff that is either way overcooked or have a non edible item accidentally left on. One time I came with my baby and needed a high chair. I couldn't find any. I asked an employee and he looked around the room and said they were all taken and walked away. I checked everywhere, not one person was using a high chair. I'm guessing they were put away somewhere. We used to come frequently but I'm guessing we are done. Sadly, it's just not what it used to be. read more

The food was marginal at best. The grilled cheese fell apart, the quiche was undercooked and tasteless, the chips had no flavor or salt. La Farm used to have good food but it's really gone down in taste and quality. Unfortunate because Cary could use more good lunch spots. read more

I arrived in the middle of the afternoon with my toddler for a simple baguette and cortado. The long haired entitled barista was not on break but chatting it up with some kitchen staff for literally almost 20 minutes with nothing to do. I approached the cashier and he went to get the supervisor but I had it by then and left. That was a situation with even basic awareness could have solved it quickly. I was happy to see that they have non-dairy milk options and a few different flavored syrup options as well. The workers were friendly and the drinks came out quickly. We ordered at the counter and a staff member brought us our food in about 15 minutes. We ate outside and everything was super clean. My next La Farm goal is to try the lunch/dinner menu. It wouldn't be a La Farm trip without getting something new. I decided to try their festive Turkey bread. I believe it was a sourdough bread and it was shaped like a turkey. Went for a treat with my grandson recently and have been here a few other times before. There is plenty of seating and the staff are friendly and helpful. I had a latte with a pastry and grandson had a cookie with milk. All was delicious. I've had the eclairs in the past and they are the best! I have also had lunch here and portions are huge. I could personally use a smaller portion be side I don't like to take leftover sandwiches home. That's probably the only negative I have but I feel that way about many places I eat at. I'm so surprised I haven't made a review to this place yet. I go there enough! I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. My go to is the poulet au fromage with chips and extra ranch. All of it is amazing! Another good option is the parisien! Their bread is amazing and so are the cookies. It kills me to not give 5 stars but the past few times I've gone, I've had some problems with their pastries. Their chocolate cake is the best I've ever had and I constantly get it but sometimes it has a slightly old taste. Additionally, I got their crème brûlée tart for the first time and it lacked flavor of any kind. In fact, the biggest flavor present was the freezer burnt taste of the crust.
