Three of us came for brunch today and were once again delighted with all of our choices. I stayed with the traditional breakfast with eggs, grits, bacon and English muffins. All came out hot and cooked perfectly. Grandson had a hard time deciding but went with something new, a combo of eggs, chicken strips and French toast with strawberries. I only got one bite and it was delicious. He loved it. Daughter tried the croissant with egg, cheese and ham and fruit. She could only eat half of it but loved it and would get it again. Service was great as always and the wait was very short. Super clean and tables are cleared and clean quickly after customers leave. Cute decor still and comfortable chairs. Still my favorite breakfast spot. read more

My buddies and I went to Brigs around brunch time. The wait was about 30ish minutes which was not a problem. I got the works omelette and it was delicious. The home fries are a great side. Good coffee as well read more

The BEST omelet I have ever had! I got the beast, my wife got the Spanish omelet and they were PERFECT! Homefries were amazing, service was great. This is the first restaurant I have been too in years that reminded me of pre-Covid dining and service! If you are in the area you NEED to stop. Also, my picky boys got the pancakes and they DEMOLISHED them! Light and fluffy. read more

As always, great food and customer service. This location, like the others are always crowded but you know why! One of my favorite places to enjoy a good meal at a good price. I always look to try something different when we go, this time I decided on the strawberry french toast - YUM! So much flavor and not to sweet! Why haven't I found this place sooner? Brigs is a well-rounded breakfast, brunch, and lunch place. Went for brunch this weekend and had the Mediterranean omelette. It was fluffy, beautiful, and flavorful. I've never had these flavors in an omelette before. It had spinach, fresh olives, feta cheese, Hollandaise sauce. My mouth waters fondly as I think back at the experience. Grits and English muffin were good. I also tried their pancakes which were also delicious. Our waitress was very thoughtful and friendly. So much great food. Omgoodness. The reviews that steered me there are all on the money. Our table was covered and not a single thing less than delicious. I had the avocado toast with feta and bacon and "fancy" home fries. Amazing. My kiddos and friends had some form of pancakes (blueberry and chocolate chip). The home fries, perfectly seasoned. Service was also top notch and honestly for all the food we got it wasn't a bad price. Very packed for a 1130 crowd on a Monday, but it was MLKj day, so maybe that was why. This menu is vast tho. Will def go back anytime I'm in the area. Every eggs Benedict looked amazing. read more

We came to this location after run club. The good thing about Brigs is that you can get a decent amount of food for relatively cheap and the food is tasty. It is difficult to get sat when you have a large group. We came at 8:30am with 8 people and had to wait a little bit. Not too long but it probably would've been longer had come later, so just something to keep in mind. I got the Knight scramble and made it southern royalty (grits instead of home fries) and I recommend not doing that. They do not season their grits so it was a little bland. Their home fries are flavorful so it would have been better had I kept it as is. Outside of the bland grits, the scramble was very good. And they have some of the best English muffins. A good, consistent breakfast spot. read more

The woman at the host stand was very friendly when I walked in. She directed me to put my to-go order in next her at the register. The hound lady at the register had a wonderful welcoming smile. She also was very knowledgeable about the menu when I had a couple questions. I waited outside till my order was ready. When I te-entered, another woman brought me my bag immediately and thanked me for coming in. WONDERFUL front of house staff. When I got home, my food was correctly and tasted absolutely amazing. This restaurant is amazing! Even on the weekend, it is easy to find seating. I would have to say that this is the best breakfast diner that I have been to in North Carolina. The pancakes are fluffy. The eggs are cooked to perfection. My husband loves the Mediterranean omelette and my mom loves the Eggs Benedict. There is something for everyone. The servers are sweet and attentive. The ambience is comfortable, but not fancy. I plan on coming back soon! read more

I around 10:15am on a Friday morning for a breakfast date. Our waitress didn't introduce herself which is a personal pet peeve. My date ordered chicken and waffles with a side of grits. I got blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon and home fries. I ordered a strawberry lemonade for my beverage and it was not sweet enough, personally. The food came 10 mins after ordering, which was extremely quick. I enjoyed my pancakes as they were HUGE!! It came with two but one would have been sufficient. My bacon was greasy, not crispy, and on the cooler side. The home fries were lukewarm. My date enjoyed their chicken and waffles but the grits were flavorless and not enjoyable. I tasted them and I concur. The prices are affordable with hit and miss on the food. The tables are fairly close together so you can hear the conversation of other guest, just as they can hear yours. Overall, it was an okay experience. It got really busy, so it appears to be a popular spot. read more

Following up on my review below on in-restaurant dining. Yesterday, got take-out. Yesterday, I called and ordered 5 breakfasts from Brig's for carry-out. Four omelettes and one breakfast croissant. I called to order at 10:00 am and asked that the meals be ready at 10:30 am. (I had called earlier in the morning but they suggested that I call to order 20 minutes before desired pick-up time.) The packages were ready when I arrived at 10:30. Everything was well packed, and each of the entrees had the correct sides in the correct boxes. Everything was delicious and all guests were impressed. They included a variety of jams and some butter in the packages, in addition to utensils and napkins. I asked for and they applied a Senior discount to the meals. I'm very pleased. read more

We came here for brunch and they had a long wait. We waited more than 45min for a table of 5. Inside decor is just ok. Staff is friendly. Food is just ok. I was a little disappointed. I ordered and chicken and waffle. Only 2 piece of chicken fingers! They gave you a egg side though And the exterior layer of the chicken finger is very very thick! The waffle is good. I've been to Briggs before located in Raleigh, so when my friend came to visit NC, we were in Cary so I suggested Brigs. Whenever you go, know there will be a wait because they are that good! We waited maybe 35-44 minutes but it's so worth it. I decided to try something different this time and it didn't disappoint. I had the seafood scramble which consists of scrambled eggs with salmon, shrimp and hollandaise sauce with potatoes. My friend had the country scramble, and added mushrooms she also enjoyed it. I appreciate a restaurant that also has flavored creamer. That's always a plus! I will definitely go back and maybe try something else, this makes my third visit to Brigs, and every time I go it's delicious. I will definitely go back! read more

This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I stopped i by myself for breakfast as it was highly recommended here by a few elites I know. I really wanted to try the crab Benedict but that's just too much food for me. So I went with a breakfast croissant and home fries. I had coffee for a drink. The waitress gave me time to look over the menu as it's quite large and I'd never been. My coffee arrived hot but I really didn't love it. It was quite weak to me. The breakfast plate came out looking good but unfortunately I didn't love that either. The home fries weren't warm, but I dis eat them all. They were good despite the fact they weren't piping hot. The egg sandwich came out a little discombobulated, bacon was all on one side and the egg here seemed not very hot either. I would go back, it was very affordable. They may have something else on the menu I liked. They do have senior menu, but they still give you two eggs.... I like smaller meals than this so I do with this place and more other places would give smaller offerings of food. I cannot eat that much in one sitting. If I get back I will come back and revisit this review. read more

We love Brigs! The omelette are always on point, the servers are always the best; especially Joanie, our favorite. Our favorites menu items are the Spanish omelette and the Veggie omelette. We also love the October pumpkin pancake special with pecans, and the July Georgia peach pancake special. The lunch sandwiches are fantastic and the platters are high with lots of fries. Don't miss out on their broccoli salad, as it's the best one I've tasted aside from my grandmother's recipe. read more

Brigs at the Crossing is a must try for breakfast. This location is always full of customers when I visit, which I think is a good sign. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This is helpful when you are wanting to try a new menu item. The interior of the restaurant is warm and full of character. I especially love the pictures of cows. I especially love their corned beef hash with eggs and toast. The hash is cooked per your request. I prefer mine a little soft and a little hard. I've never been disappointed at Briggs. I've taken family and friends from out of town to this location multiple times and everyone loves it. read more

Lovely brunch spot, try one of their benedicts! My friend recommended to stop by here on the way to airport. I've heard of this place before: expectations were present. She said the weekends were packed. So when we went on Monday, we were expecting to be fairly empty: that assumption was incorrect. You know it's lit on God no cap, when 10am rows around and people brunching at the start of the week. The staff were very sweet and friendly and on point with drink refills and ensuring we were satisfied. Surroundings were quaint, a blend of farmhouse schick and suburban sensibilities. Chesapeake Benedict - my entree and recommendation for future diners. It was amazing. I will start to say that the potatoes were a little Al dente to my liking, but the star was well worth the overlook. The crab cake was sweet, succulent, and seasoned well. The hollandaise... creamy and had a nice little kick that brightened up an otherwise heavy sauce. I will dream of this dish for a while. Fruit was a beautiful accoutrement to end the meal and of course one must wash down with a sweet tea. read more

Nice little location. I enjoyed the layout more than the very open dining room of Briggs Wake Forest (where we usually go). Our waitress was kind, attentive, and quick to fulfill requests. Food was good, other than the home fries needed like 1 more minute cooking and a little salt before hitting the plate. Our table ordered the club benedict, stuffed waffles, and two platters. My friend wanted to try the corn beef hash at Brigs as she's seen good reviews. She was pleased with her breakfast and a fun fact to share - my friend uses strawberry jelly on her fried eggs. (Yes you are reading that correctly)! I ordered grits, rye toast and an omelet. This was full of cheddar cheese and mushrooms. The omelet was cooked the way I like it and fluffy. I tasted the eggs and cheese which I appreciated. Breakfast was good. And the place was busy. I liked that they offer a few discounts to folks too. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to locate. The food is always great and served in large portions. I typically receive great customer service but not so much this time. I actually felt overlooked compared to those sitting g around me. It still ate well but it was definitely noticeable. Felt rushed out after eating. Server was Malissa. I went here with a small group. We waited about 45 minutes for brunch during peak time. The place was packed but clean. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. He was also attentive to our needs as we did have some questions and always kept our drinks full. We enjoyed the blueberry pancakes, Coastal Benedict, Ole, and Double Trouble. I had the club Benedict. The food came out hot and complete in a timely manner. The portion size was very generous while the price was average, making this a good value. The meals also came with fruit and the fruit was very juicy and sweet. I enjoyed the fact that they had so many different variations of Benedict to choose from. I will definitely come back to try others. They also offer several specials that change. That is a nice offering, especially if you want to make this place your regular spot. With COVID Being the reason most people learned and or started to cook, I needed a cooking break. I needed a Belgian waffle that wasn't an Eggo ‍. Food was mediocre. Order the BLTC sandwich and fried chicken waffle. The fried chicken wasn't even fried chicken thighs but just two small pieces of chicken breast strips, the skin was too thick, I feel like the BojAngles' boneless fried chicken strips are much better. Though the waffle was fluffy and airy. The BLTC was mediocre. The wait was over 40mins on a rainy Sunday. I didn't know NC is serious about their brunches until now. read more

I placed my order with the waitress and after she had put my order in I asked if she could add pecans to my French toast with Peaches . She said ok and then when I got my order it was plain French Toast with pecans and the pork sausage was dry like jerky. When she came to ask how things were I told her I didn't get my peaches and she said oh you didn't order that your ordered pecans . I said no I asked if you could add pecans to the French toast she said oh I didn't hear that . And it was a Senior breakfast order but she brought me a full order !! Why ???? She then said oh I can bring you some peaches on the side . Ummm no thank you that's not how the order was and if I'm going to pay for it I should get my food the way I order it . I took 2 bites of the egg which came with it and it was pretty lame When she came back I told her I was done and she could take it . I didn't eat . When she brought the check it was on there . So when I went to pay the girl asked how it was I told her I don't know I didn't eat my order was wrong and she just sat there with a blank look on her face and charged my card . Did I leave a tip Of course I did on the receipt I wrote Horrible Service and a BIG FAT ZERO ON THE TIP !!! Never again and I don't recommend eating there as it was not something to write home about . read more

Meet the Business Owner: Mike and Lisa K.

Lisa began with Brigs Restaurants as a part-time host at Brigs Great Beginnings in north Raleigh. She loved it and soon became full-time. When Mike's job was going to transfer them and their children to another state, they decided that they wanted to open a Brigs. And thus, this third Brigs Restaurant opened - Brigs at the Crossing (in NW Cary). 14 years later, they were ready to open another one in Cary - Brigs at the Village.

They didn't skimp on the fries, and the ranch complemented it perfectly. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.

I ordered a half-and-half tea. I'm not sure she knew what that was, as she kept saying "unsweet". The first tea was half-and-half, but the refill was unsweetened. I went with the chicken pot pie, as that is what caught my eye. I expected a delicious dish, but what I received was disappointing. The ratio of the chicken, gravy and veggies was way off. I'd say there was enough low-quality processed chicken for three to four people, a little gravy and even less veggies. I had a bowl of processed chicken cubes with a splash of sauce, not what I had in mind. I usually skip the pastry part, but I ate that as I needed something other than chicken. I left some of the chicken in the dish. The waitress didn't even offer me a to-go box. It was that bad that I wouldn't eat it anyway. My check was brought out soon after I got my food. I don't understand the rush, but bringing the check early won't get me out any faster and lowers your tip. This was just a really bad experience, and I don't see myself returning. I have liked the food in the past.

Of course when we pointed this out, it was quickly cooked up separately and brought to the table, so no problems again with the service or resolving the issue. Also be warned that Thursday nights from 6-8pm they run a music trivia game that blasts music loudly throughout the large dining space, completely surrounded by reflective surfaces.
