If you're searching for a breakfast spot in the Triangle that truly delivers, look no further than Brigs Restaurant. We have gone to all four locations (Cary, Durham, Raleigh, and Wake Forest), but our favorite is the Durham location in the Park West Crossing Shopping Center, which also has plenty of parking. I love the mural of Durham they painted on the wall. One of the things that has impressed us is that they are consistent in quality and service among all four locations. Brigs is a gem that effortlessly blends a warm atmosphere with delicious breakfast... and lunch choices. During our visit today I enjoyed the Country Skillet. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. The eggs were fluffy and the cheese melted beautifully, adding a creamy texture that brought the entire skillet dish together. The service and coffee along with the food are excellent. Unlike some places they offer flavored creamers, which I thought was a nice touch. They have great regular options like benedicts, omelets, pancakes, and the previously mentioned skillets. I also love they have regular rotating options. This month is a peach theme and last week I had the Peach Pancakes, which were very decadent. We can't wait to return again and explore more of their delicious menu. read more

I love Brigs. This is a great breakfast/brunch place to eat. Service is usually very good, pleasant. I've been going there since I came to Durham 30 years ago and have only had one unpleasant experience with the service (and everyone is entitled to a bad day). I like the food. The only food issue I have with Brigs is that the bread is dreadful. I really wish they had biscuits! The menu is extensive and I can't remember not liking what I'd ordered. The food is hot and plentiful. I usually get the Florentine Benedict, but the last time I was there I just had scrambled eggs and potatoes. Food was filling and the only $6. I do not drink coffee, but according to a friend that does, Brigs has great coffee. I also like that I can sit and talk to friends and family for as long as I want after eating. Though I must say, I do not go to Brigs on Friday/Sat/ Sunday. Very crowded then. I really wish they had another Durham location. A lot of the tables are near windows and it's a pleasant place to eat. read more

Our waitress was respectful and hardworking, and we appreciated her service. Unfortunately, our breakfast experience was deeply disappointing. My wife ordered an omelet, and when she cut into it, she found a cockroach inside. Finding an insect in the food is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about kitchen cleanliness and food preparation. Although we appreciated our waitress's efforts, this incident overshadowed the service. I hope management takes this matter seriously and addresses it promptly. read more

Stopped here on the way from the airport before heading to Asheville--unfortunately we hit peak hours and waited about 25 minutes, but the buzzer system was accurate. Place is casual, diner- like. Service was good. Coffee was bold and enjoyable. I ordered one of their award-winning Benedicts--the Monterrey Benedict with smoked turkey, mushrooms, avocado, and poached eggs. The English muffin had a nice crisp bottom, but the dish overall was pretty soggy, likely from the vegetables. Flavor-wise, it fell a bit flat and didn't stand out as expected. read more

So many options on the menu it was hard to decide. I went with the Florentine Benedict with homefries and fruit. This was a lot of food and I liked it but I'd probably try something else next time. Fruit was just ok - mainly grapes with a pineapple and orange slice. The staff were so attentive and kind! read more

This review marks my third time visiting this Brig's location. This restaurant has a diner feel to it. The portions are generous and worth saving for multiple meals. People come and sit awhile to enjoy good company and good food. On this visit I ordered one of their Thanksgiving specials: the Pilgrim's Benedict. It is a very generous serving of food. I made three breakfasts out of it. My companion ordered a fluffy waffle with eggs and homefries as his side dish. It was his first visit. He was satisfied. I'm glad I introduced him to Brig's. I recommend Brig's for their omelettes and benedicts. They are excellent. read more

I've been coming to this Brigs location for close to 35 yrs. 98% of the time the food and service is excellent. After several visits you get to know the menu, find your favorites, and appreciate the monthly additions that are seasonal. On this visit I chose the bratwurst burger on a pretzel bun with sweet potato fries. My spouse will always get eggs Benedict wherever it's avail and the broccoli salad that they've become known for. Everything was delicious. I noticed they added a mural to the wall in one of the rooms to reflect notable local sites and in the other was Halloween decor. Both a nice touch. I highly recommend Brigs over Benetis down the street, where some of the staff can be prickly at the drop of a hat. read more

Amazing food and service and the wait for 2 was not long at all for a Sunday morning. We had the blueberry griddle combo with cheese eggs and corned beef hash and the crab cake Benedict with grits and hash browns. I am already trying to find a date to go back. read more

This place is shoulder to shoulder on the weekends. There are locals that come here all the time and the friendly waitstaff knows them by name. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The restaurant was recently remodeled and it looks great. I enjoy coming here. Although it is always busy I never feel rushed and I leave nice and full! read more

I never thought I'd fall in love with a restaurant so much that whenever I'm in town I require myself to come back. That says a lot because the wait here on a Sunday is at least 30 minutes and I'll wait gladly. This restaurant reminds me of an old timey diner, but with a huge menu stacked with crazy options and combos, you could get lost in the menu. Briggs is truly a staple, from the waitresses who've been here over 10 years to the food that never disappoints. I had the best pancakes of my life, buttery and fluffy with crispy breakfast potatoes and eggs that melt in your mouth. I am #TeamBriggs forever read more

Plenty of parking. It's in a strip mall type of place. The inside is reminiscent of a diner but bigger. Service was fast. Our waitress was lovely. The food was great!! The star of the show for me was the pancakes!!! Get the pancakes! I had egg whites and crab cake. The crab cake was pretty good but I'm not someone who usually eats crab cakes. The omelette was good. The food was cheap too. We paid around $40 for our meal plus drinks. I'll definitely eat here again when I'm in the area. read more

Another year another new year brunch!! It was bustling like it always is with crowds though it was not overly loud. My friends and I had a great time, plenty of food and very reasonable prices. The benedicts were delicious, sadly they were out of several items on the menu today and their grits were not great today. Still, very satisfying experience on a cold morning. Fast and friendly service. read more

owner and employees are so nice, food is amazing, great spot for brunch with family or friends. Wouof definitely recommend.

I work at a Carwash next to Brigs and was working a shift on a very hot day. The manager came over and very kindly gave us free lunch vouchers so my coworker and I went after our shift. Both the food and the service were excellent! read more

Food was so good! My husband got their seafood scrambled egg option with hollandaise and so much great flavor, not too salty. I had the chicken and waffle. The chicken tender is very crispy and seasoned, and the waffle is very light and fluffy. The service is 10/10 - don't know his name but he has curly hair. Ambiance is clean and seems like a nice local family style brunch spot. We waited about 20-30 minutes, but went by fairly quickly. Definitely recommend for brunch. read more

This was an overall great trip to Brigs! Everything was so streamlined and fast making it an amazing experience. The ambience, to be honest wasn't all that, but the wall of various landmarks in the area was a really nice touch. Our server was kind and thoughtful, always coming quick with refills and getting our food out really quickly! Speaking of food, the food and drink were awesome! The Chicken and waffles I ordered were light and tasty, with the bacon being nice and crunchy. The eggs were alright, I don't really expect much when it comes to eggs in restaurants. Overall, Brigs is a decent spot to get breakfast (or brunch). Pay them a visit! read more

I liked this spot, very cute decor and nice staff. We waited about 35 mins and I'm not sure I would wait that long again. My husband loved his skillet. My shrimp and crab benedict was pretty good. I liked that it came with fresh fruit. The hollandaise was really tasty and the egg was poached well. On the other hand....The grits were drowning in butter and still pretty flavorless. I would definitely eat here again, the waffles looked amazing! read more

Wonderful! Incredibly fast service! Food was delicious! Very clean restaurant and bathroom. Charming staff! We highly recommend!!

This place gets busy on Sunday afternoon, so expect a 20-30 minute wait. Everyone was very friendly though, and the service was pretty quick. We came for the Stuffed French Toast after seeing it, and it was good, but not as good as we were expecting. The omelet was really good, and the home fries too. Overall it was a good experience, and the food wasn't bad. read more

When in Durham, NC and you're looking for great breakfast and brunch options, Brigs at the Park is a must try! The staff is always pleasant and the food, fresh and delicious. We had Carol as our server and she's a sweet Southern gem with a beautiful smile. Happy and full are a marriage made in heaven... You'll definitely experience this euphoria. The WORKS Omelet - Bursting with flavorful ingredients such as Sausage, Ham, Bacon, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers, Carmalized Onions, Tomatoes and Cheddar - Jack with a side of Cheesy Grits and an English Muffin. Next up, The BEAST Omelet - This one is strictly for the carnivore lover as it's filled with Ham, Smoked Turkey, Bacon, Pork Sausage and Cheddar - Jack accompanied by Home Fried Potatoes and a Cinnamon & Raisin English Muffin. Chicken Tenders with Scrambled Eggs and Cheddar Cheese (Why? Because I LIKE ketchup on my eggs ) The Powdered Waffle goes with the Chicken and Eggs in the other picture. Fish and Fries with Aioli and Pita Bread can be seen behind the Waffle. Everything is better with BACON!! Especially when it's near closing and you are served almost a full pack. My friends and I came here on a Saturday around 10:30 and the wait was about 15 minutes for a table. The restaurant seemed to get busier with time, so definitely be prepared for a wait if you come around 11/12 on a weekend. The waitress who took our orders was so sweet and friendly. She was quick to refill drinks and overall very attentive. The food came out fairly quick considering how busy the place was. I ordered the Malibu omelette without cheese with a side of home fries and fruit. The omelette was really good, it was loaded with fresh vegetables and the eggs were super fluffy. At first I thought the serving of avocado was lacking based on the small slice on top, but there was actually more inside the omelet thankfully. The home fries were a little hard and cold, but that was my only complaint. The prices were not bad either! Final takeaway, this is a great & delicious brunch place if you've got an appetite and are not in a time crunch! read more

I had the worst experience at Brigs in Durham. We arrived and we were seated quickly and this is where things went downhill. We sat for 10 minutes before our server came over. We placed our food order and drink order at the same time. 1 water and 2 cups of coffee. I ordered the Caprese burger. I should have known that was a mistake because our server said "the what?" I had to show him what it was the "specials" menu that is on the table. We sat for another 20 minutes waiting for our drinks at least. The server finally returned with our food and the drinks. Usually when you go to a restaurant you order and receive the drinks while you are waiting for the food. Regardless our food arrived with the drinks and our survey apologize for the delay in drinks. The food was not great. My burger was over cooked, the bun was cold and all of my fries were burnt. 90% of my fries were the small pieces that you would get at the bottom of the bag. The person I was with ordered the works omelet which was also overcooked and the coffee tasted burnt. I really don't think we will go back to Brigs. read more

Really impressive menu for this little diner-style place in Durham. And looks like it's part of a small chain so looking forward to trying the other locations. My GF had the mixed berry pancakes - really good but she found herself wishing she had got the waffle done the same way. I had the coastal Benedict with blue crab and shrimp and it was definitely a winner. We also split an avocado toast - really the only thing we didn't like. Our waiter was "OK" - not very attentive and not able to make good recommendations because he doesn't eat meat or eggs and hasn't tasted most of the food, but a nice guy. There were other servers there who seemed more at home so hopefully next time we get one of them. All in all a good experience - will try again. read more

I usually don't write reviews, like ever... but I wen't about a week ago and got the pumpkin pancakes. Maybe the chef was having an off day, but they came back RAW! Also had no taste even closely resembling pumpkin. I had the waiter take them back (which I also NEVER do) and they came back raw again. They were nice in not making me pay, but I would definitely not go back. Disappointed because they had really good reviews. Maybe we hit a bad day. read more

The food is good, my daughter and I had breakfast here several times and we enjoyed it.

Solid breakfast place when you want something good and filling for the first meal of the day!

Breakfast time! My partner picked this place and honestly I wasn't expecting much. I've been struggling with food either being just okay during my visit in NC. This place though, super yummmmmmmy! It gives me old school diner vibes in the south and luckily they delivered. I got the shrimp and crab eggs benny (which is always a gamble getting eggs Benedict in public because everything can go wrong-- believe me). This one though was delicious and I still think about it. It had perfect poached eggs, yummy sauce, and lots of seafood underneath. It was a scrumptious experience and I didn't think it would fill me up but it did. The house fries are also so delicious I don't know how they make them but these are by far my favorite I've ever eaten. My partner got the croissant pancakes, grits, and eggs. It was his first time having grits, he didn't really like them, but I took a bite and these were really good. The eggs were basic, no frills. The croissant pancake was crispy, buttery, and sweet. Yum. I would recommend coming here for a chill and laidback meal with loved ones. read more

5/5 - great quality food for a great price! Weekdays before 11am they have specials, and I got an omelette, fries, and toast all for less than $9. This is a toughy because there was a lot of good, there was just some not-so-good. We were seated in a VERY crowded area of the restaurant and it was on the noisy side. Still, we ordered our food. The coffee was decent, and the wait was relatively short. Good: portions were excellent, best home fries I've had in a long time, and my wife's avocado toast was excellent. Bad: my eggs weren't done - even after specifying to the waitress what I needed, the bacon was paper-thin and tasteless, and the cinnamon english muffins were the most bland cinna-toast I've ever eaten. Compounded, the eggs the second time were still a bit undercooked for my liking, but we needed to move on. So, not totally bad, but not superb. My biggest flaw is the parking. ZERO handicapped at the door and FIVE take-out. We had to park across the lot near the car wash, and there were ZERO take-out customers in the spots. Very rude and disappointing. Not sure I'd go back. read more

Good breakfast this morning from a friendly waitress who kept the coffee coming while I made plans and sent emails on my laptop. I chose a meat-lovers omelet and subbed out the potatoes and toast for sliced tomatoes. Hooray for the keto diet where it's all eggs and cheese. This was delicious and filling and not very expensive at all. Note that more complicated substitutions are not gonna happen. The ladies at the table next to me were trying to do all sorts of stuff and they got a firm "No." The restaurant is clean and in good shape. No dirty tables here. Brigs is just what I always need to comfort me. In autumn they have these pumpkin pancakes that melt right in your mouth. The service is always good, and if there is a line and you have time, wait. The grits taste like someone's granny is making them in the back, they never skimp on the cheese for my scrambled eggs, and the omelets are massive and delicious. If you're in need of an internal snuggle just ask for the hot chocolate. You'll feel just like you're in front of the fire place at a mountain retreat. I live in a different city now, and Brigs is still my go to. I can't pass the exit coming into town without stopping by, and I never take my food to go. Come solo or bring the family, it's worth it down to the last bite. Oh, and get the strawberry lemonade! read more

Wow what a great spot for an affordable, delicious brunch! On my drive home, I was going to pass this restaurant so I decided to call in a takeout order. The lady I spoke with on the phone was clear, nice, and efficient. It was loud in the restaurant around her so she double checked to make sure she had my order and the time I requested to pick it up correct. My order was ready upon arrival and was accurate. The restaurant was busy with customers waiting for tables and paying for their orders. Nonetheless, the two hostesses greeted me and told me my order was ready and with them at the hostess desk. There was a short line checking out and then I paid for the order and left (only took a couple minutes). We ordered the ole scrambled eggs (without avocado) with toast and grits, Waldorf salad, and the croissant French toast. All of it came to $29 - cheaper than other brunch restaurants. Plus the portion sizes are large. I saved half of my Waldorf salad for later. All of the items we ordered tasted great and were filling. The grits did have an excessive amount of butter, but it could be easily poured off. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would eat here again. I'm also looking forward to trying some of their other locations! read more
